Robert: There you are my dear. Whatever is the matter?

Aurelia: Leave me be Uncle Bertie. I wish to be alone today.

Robert: No, no I won't do that. It's your birthday and your foolish da-forgive me, your foolish parents can't seem to remember. Your mother is still in her bed and not dressed and your fool of a father has been off riding since the crack of dawn, which is never good, he always does that when something is troubling him.

Aurelia: He's been going off riding for long periods every morning since....you know.

Robert: Yes, I know how he reacts to death but he has other children to attend to as well. Mama says he's worse than when our Father died. Had I known it was this bad here I wouldn't have been in the city so long...

Aurelia: *wiping eyes* Well, if you should know, I asked that for my birthday nobody did anything or mentioned it, so it's not their fault. All I asked for was to be alone.

Robert: Well, I'm not respecting that wish. You don't need to be alone, especially on your birthday. None of them have any sense to realize that.

Aurelia: *sniffles* But I WANT to be alone. No birthday will ever be the same again without her. I hate my birthday.

Robert: Well I love your birthday and would like to celebrate it with you and that's why I've came all the way from Winshire. Since those fools haven't prepared you a cake, you and I will go to the sweet shop and get sorbet.

Aurelia: Why should I enjoy any sweets if she never will again? It's my fault, I-

Robert: No, sugar, quit saying that. If you'd like to blame anyone then let it be me, I can bear it. I can't bear you thinking it's your fault though.

Aurelia: But it is…

Robert: *sitting down* No, no its n-*back cracks* NOT!

Aurelia: *softly giggling*

Robert: I'm glad my pain amuses you. If I could break every bone in my body a million times just for you to be happy, I would.

Aurelia: You don't mean that.

Robert: I mean it with my whole heart.

I love you, and I do hate seeing you sad. I too, know how it feels to lose a sister, you know?

Aurelia: *sniffles* Yes, yes I know.

Granny doesn't speak about her that much, neither does Papa.

Robert: They do that because it's easier for them. It's been nearly forty years, and I assure you not a day goes by where they don't think of her. I think of her everyday, and was only eight when she passed.

Aurelia: *softly* What was she like?

Robert: *smiling* Georgiana was a lot like you, believe it or not. She was kind, compassionate, and a little shy. But she didn't really prefer naturally feminine hobbies such as embroidery, cross stitching, or anything to deal with music and that upset our Mama a lot. My Father adored her, because she shared his interests. Before bed, she would often scare your Papa and I with silly ghost stories and don't tell him I told you this, but he once got so scared he wet himself in his nightgown.

Aurelia: *hysterically laughing* Really?

Robert: Yes sugarplum, really. He was around your age when this happened.

Aurelia: *sitting on lap* Uncle Bertie?

Robert: Yes sugarplum?

Aurelia: Does it get any better?

Robert: What do you mean?

Aurelia: Will I ever stop feeling so…sad?

Robert: The pain won't go away, but in time, you'll learn how to manage it better. You won't feel so sad everyday when you're older, it'll just be some days.

Aurelia: But will I ever feel happy again?

Robert: Of course you will sugarplum! You will have many happy memories in your lifetime, trust me. The happy ones outweigh the bad ones, I know it's hard right now, but I promise you eventually it'll get better, *kisses cheek* alright?

Aurelia: Alright. Can we still maybe get sorbet..?

Robert: We will go right now. *picking up* I'll even buy you a whole cake for yourself, how does that sound?

Aurelia: *gasp* Really? But what will Papa say?

Robert: He won't know. Perhaps we will buy him one too, he might need it.

Aurelia: I think Papa needs more than a cake!

Robert: At this rate...I think he does too. We will worry about him tomorrow though, today is your birthday, not his.

Bridget: Aurelia…?

Bridget: *grabbing face* Aurelia.?

Aurelia: *pushing away* Why are you in here..?

Bridget: I couldn't sleep well, my room is too hot. Yours is always cooler...

Aurelia: *sniffling* You always say this when you want to sleep with me.

Bridget: It'll be alright Aurelia. Tonight will be the best birthday of your life and I'll make sure of it!

Aurelia: *sniffles* Oh please don't say this will be the best one. I'm already sad today, I would like to at least hope for one birthday in the future where I wake up happy and not cry.

Medieval Camp Dump - conversion set from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

General info: walls, scaffold and tower base have two versions aka short (one story) and tall (2 stories tall), but keep in mind the tall version is bigger in height but also in width (except the tower). / most things have 5k verts count or lower (read below for exceptions..) // names are in order with the pics, aka left to right and top to bottom.

> Scaffold - 4,7k poly, might have some transparency issues but I didn’t actually see any while testing; also both versions are longer than pictured aka a part of the mesh is hidden in the floor making it perfect for cliffs! 

> Fort Wall - 5,7k poly, I made these to be the same height as ts3 walls so you can have your sims walking on top (though you do need to place floor tiles).

+BONUS: Clan Flags! (preview is here)  Did this recolor for personal use, but you can't have a proper medieval camp without flags (even if they're a bit too fancy). Anyway, all mesh credits belong to Luna (you know, THAT Luna from lunasimslulamai) as I only replaced part of the texture with clan banners from ACV and slightly edited the mesh to avoid said banners looking mirrored.

Today I created an account just to show a proof of concept - animated version of That One Tango Panel that @infinityroom wanted to make as a gif. I just took original artwork (I can’t draw, sadly) and animated it, that’s all I’ve done. What you can see in the post itself is just a mockup of how actual animation would look like while being placed on white and black bg, since I just found out that tumblr can’t upload webps and it converts all gifs to gifvs anyway, so tumblr basically said “no transparency for you”.

That means that that great blog can’t have cool animations with hidden with transparency elements because of tumblr limitations. If I’m wrong about this - please please please tell me how to force tumblr to keep transparency.

If you want to check out how the animation is supposed to work and look like - download it from here and view it with any normal webp viewer (chrome can open webp just fine). Unlike gifs from this post - webp supports alpha channel and you can place that webp on a background of any color you like and imagine how cool the idea of creating working gif with normal transparency that was close to original artwork was in my head before I realized that tumblr can’t upload webp.

At the end I had fun making this simple animation, even if drawing all this glitches was a tedious task and animation itself turned out to be less polished than I wanted it to be. I was a bit lazy to make appearing animation for all the mites as well, but all I wanted was to show potential of using webps for animated panels... yeah. And to wrap it up I’ll throw you personal recommendation - I was listening to Cicatrices while working on this animation and now I’m properly stuck in the Infinity Room, actually worried for everybody that got stuck inside

I Wish (Part IV, Continuing from When You Love Someone)

Group: DAY6

Genre: DAY6 TRILOGY CONTINUATION (What Can I Do, I Loved You, When You Love Someone)

A/N: After like 4 years of people trying to get me into Day6, I’m finally here with What Can I Do playing on repeat in the bg to help me vibe with what I’m writing. Biggest thank you to the person who got me into this mess, I might just cry with how many things I have up my sleeves now.

"3... 2... 1... Younghyun! I'm coming to find you!”

!Younghyun covers his mouth with glee, listening to his best friend run down the hallway and right past the cabinet he was hiding in.

"Jieun, please be careful down the stairs!" He heard his mother calling out from downstairs.

"Okay!" Jieun's voice rings through the house as her footsteps trace back down the steps. Younghyun closes one eye to look through the gap between the two doors, watching Jieun return up to the second floor.

"Younghyun!" The eight year old boy covers his mouth, preventing himself from laughing. Hide-and-seek is an important game ans he cannot lose to a girl.

"Younghyun~!" She shouts in a sing-songy voice, closer to the cabinet than he would like her to be. Then Jieun suddenly turns to the cabinet, catching that little glimmer in her eyes when she realised he could be hiding in there.

Younghyun's mother can hear the excited screams and yells from the second floor when she assumes Jieun has found her son hiding in his favourite hiding spot, the sound of their laughter only bringing her joy and comfort.

In the night, Younghyun's mother leaves two waterbottles outside the tent they were sleeping in (that was pitched in Younghyun's room) before leaving, turning off the lights before closing the door behind her. Younghyun crawls out, grabbing a torchlight and shining the bright beam at Jieun's gameboy as it beeps to life.

Little did they know it would be the last time they could do that, or even fit into the tent.

Younghyun was a quick-witted child, understood things faster than normal kids would. Jieun's pink-blushed face was looking down at him through the window of the passenger's seat infront as her father thanks Younghyun's parents for the three-week-long babysitting.

"Where is she going? Why is she leaving? Is she coming back? Did I do something wrong?"

Jieun's father squats and pats Younghyun's head, offering the child a look of apology that he will not understand for the next five years or so.

"We'll come back to visit, okay? Thank you for taking care of my Jieun for me."

It's like the adult thinks he can replace Younghyun's best friend when he hands him a toy robot. Jieun's eyes are unable to peel away from Younghyun when the car jerks after her father shuts the car door. Younghyun's mother is desperately wiping her son's face and holding him in his arms while he watches the car drive off.

"We'll come back to visit" is one of the biggest lies an adult can tell a child.

Younghyun jerks awake from his sleep, the alarm jolting him out of his nightmarish memory. Slamming a hand down into the alarm clock, he shuts it off and sits up, fingers running through his hair with his eyes still closed.

Kim Jieun... do you not remember me?

Park Jaehyung and Kim Jieun look a little too close for Younghyun's liking, but what can he say? They had sleepovers when they were 8 years old -- had her father not dragged her halfway across the country then, he would be in Jaehyung's place right now.

Funny how all three new students were all dumped in his class though. Kim Jieun, Yoon Dowoon and Park Jaehyung. Yet, while Jieun and Jaehyung looked like they were having the time of their lives, Dowoon seemed like he'd be better off dead.

"Hi, are you three doing alright in school?" Jieun looks up to Wonpil, eyes halved into crescents as he does his job of being the class president. Younghyun watches Jieun and Jaehyung nod and thank him, but Dowoon's earpieces were shoved so far into his ear canals, Wonpil goes unheard.

"Yah," Younghyun is surprised when Jieun drops honorifics when she calls out to Dowoon. "He's talking to us."

Dowoon gives her a side stare, and proceeds to continue ignoring her.

"I'm sorry, he's been going through a hard time since the move. He'll be up and around in due time." Looking over at Dowoon again, she tries once more to get his attention.

“It’s okay,” Wonpil shakes his head, gently blocking her from reaching out to him. “I get it. He just needs time.”

Wonpil nods, giving Dowoon one more glance before returning to his seat. At the end of the day, Younghyun and Jieun had been rostered to clean the classroom, so he feels nothing but discomfort when she exhibits the diligence she was already known for back then. Picking up the mop and the broom, she starts cleaning the floor without hesitation, without giving Younghyun a second look.

Does she not remember me or--

"Kang Younghyun."

It feels like his heart had just been stabbed by an electric rod, and it takes mountainous effort for him to contain the shock and surprise he was about to barf out.

"Can you do your job?"

The boy rolls his eyes, frustrated and frankly, a little hurt that she doesn't remember him. A painful wincr of a smile shows up on his lips when she comes over, handing him one of the mops.

How many ‘Kang Younghyun’s are there anyway? Do I even look that different? Just what is keeping her from--

"When were you ever this useless?"

His eyes dart up from the table to hers, face blank but eyes full of meaning.

"I'll admit that I didn't recognise you the other day when we bumped into each other," Younghyun's heart is about to lurch out of his chest. "But it clicked so..."

The world is silent for some seconds. Younghyun's heart is yearning to reach out and hug her for he had lost the one thing he would have rather had for the rest of his life. But Jieun would probably take it the wrong way... or rather -- his replacement might not like it.

"How are you?"

The question takes Younghyun by surprise. Why did it take her so long to finally ask this? He, unfortunately, cannot swallow his pride and take her into his arms the way he wants to. 

“I’m fine,” He spits, grabbing the mop and moving off to mindlessly paint the floor with water that he wasn’t even sure was clean. Jieun's eyebrows flatten against her features, confused but silent in understanding. She can only imagine how angry he was, and when a child’s anger goes unanswered, unfixed for a decade... it turns into something of a grudge that she isn’t sure she can undo. 

Younghyun carelessly flings the mop around the space, the water sprinkling on all kinds of surfaces before Jieun runs over, nearly wishing to shove the mop into his face. 

How immature can he get, over something that wasn’t in my control?

“Younghyun--”

“I’ve done my job,” Offering her the most nonchalant smile he can force onto his lips, he raises a fist in a bid to ‘encourage’ her. Jieun huffs in disbelief, hand running through her hair as he leaves the classroom. “Have fun.”

Jieun: i can’t believe he was such a jerk about it

You: doesn’t he know you couldn’t have done anything about it anyway

Jieun: i don’t know

Jieun: i just wish he knows i was just as sad as he was when my dad brought me away

You: maybe you need to give him time, like dowoon does

Jieun: sigh

Jieun: you’re right

Jieun: you’re there already, aren’t you? 

You: yeah, what’ya want?

Jieun: nah, i’m okay. i’ll be back a little later though, had to clean up whatever younghyun didn’t

You: alright

Jieun: see you later!

Pausing right outside the cafe, Jaehyung locks the phone and sucks in a deep breath, the transparent glass providing him with a flawed view of the barista. Failing to remember the last time he had such a huge crush on someone he doesn’t even know, he gathers his courage in the palms of his sweaty hands as he pushes himself into the cafe.

“Welcome!” Her voice sounds like wind chimes and bells. “Oh! It’s you!”

“Right, hi,” Get your shit together, man. 

“I’m guessing two milkshakes?” My God, that smile should be illegal.

“Uh-- just one today, actually.”

“Oh?” Her eyes widen, enlarging all the sparkles in her eyes. “Do you want to try something else?” Leaning forward over the counter, she points to the menu board stuck upright. “You can try the cold brew coffee. It’s a new item and I’ve tried it myself, pretty refreshing.”

“Okay, sure.”

That was too quick a response, man. 

“Alright! Just give me a few minutes.”

I’ll give you all the time you need.

There was a struggle to contain all that admiration and envy for just a single person. When she brings the cup of coffee over, it looks like an angel serving you a cup of heaven.

She smiles not with her lips, but with her eyes, and Jaehyung cannot help but to purse his lips in a bid to contain his happiness. 

"I'm sorry, he's been going through a hard time since the move. He'll be up and around in due time."

Younghyun shifts his weight to the side, brain empty of thoughts besides thinking of the way Jieun spoke to Yoon Dowoon, spoke of Yoon Dowoon. The arcade had an occasional jingle sound to it due to the bell hung on the door, coupled with the rapid shooting from FPS games and then there’s the incessant smashing of game console buttons--

“Get out of my seat, cunt.”

Younghyun’s ears are drawn to the familiar voice -- a big burly dude who didn’t do much but torment the kids in the arcade. He knows better not to interfere so he plasters his attention back to the motorbike racing game he was on. 

“But I don’t see your name on the console.”

The voice wrings Younghyun out of his virtual competition, an instinct telling him to get up and stop the impending disaster. He couldn’t decide if it was because he knew the big guy was a bully, or if he’s figured out that Yoon Dowoon must be related to Jieun of some sorts.

“You little--” Yoon Dowoon braces himself for impact, arm covering his head, until he hears a thud right above him. His eyes travel up, logic taking awhile to settle around his saviour’s facial features as the bully’s wrist is held tightly in someone else’s palm. 

“He’s got a point. Console doesn’t have your name on it.”

Dowoon frowns when he connects the dots, suddenly more agitated that he needs another boy to help him out of his misery. Out of annoyance, and of the many options he could’ve chosen to carry out, he chooses to storm off.

Younghyun smirks to himself, letting out a chuckle of disbelief.

Dowoon finds himself stranded along the roadside after he’s bought himself a little bottle of milk, the kind that his father used to get for him when he was a kid, before his mother had chosen to remarry one of the richest Kims in the country. 

He fiddles with the ointment and the single hard-boiled egg in his pocket, silently hoping that if his classmate wouldn’t appear from the corner and beat him into a pulp the way he probably had been, Dowoon could show some kind of gratitude. 

Speaking of the Devil, Younghyun turns round the corner, slight frustration overwhelming his eyes when he spots Dowoon candidly sipping on his milk.

“You really know how to run away from a fight, don’t you?” He grabs the chair and plops himself down, already ready to shove that bottle of milk down Dowoon’s mouth for ditching him. Licking the corner of his bottom lip, he manages to restrain himself from wincing.

Dowoon pulls out the ointment and hard-boiled egg, gently pushing it across the table. The gesture catches Younghyun off-guard, a second smile of disbelief surfacing on his lips.

“Were you just waiting for me to show up so you could hand me these?”

Dowoon mischievously raises a brow, taking a loud sip from his milk. “Mhm.”

Younghyun cannot help but snort at Dowoon’s daring nature before he picks the egg up and rubs it across his cheekbone. 

“So,” Dowoon doesn’t hesitate to start. “What’s your relationship with Jieun?”

The smile falls from Younghyun’s face, and Dowoon isn’t an idiot. Contrary to his silent demeanor, he used to be known for being able to read people easily. 

“I see the way you look at her, and when you were rostered to stay back to clean up the classroom today... I heard a bit of it.”

Refusing to admit that he’s just been exposed, Younghyun cracks the egg on the tabletop. Begins to peel the shell of the milky white interior. The last few sips of Dowoon’s milk becomes particularly loud when he puts in the extra effort to suck it up, then he throws it in a nice toss into the nearest dustbin.

“You don’t have to hide anything, you know,” Dowoon says with calm in his voice. “It’s not like I’ll tell her anything. We might live in the same house but I know to protect a man’s pride.”

He can feel his saviour’s eyes pierce through his skull as he says those exact words. Good, I got it spot on.

“Same house, huh?” Younghyun takes a bite from the egg. “I’m guessing this is why she moved away ten years ago.”

It was Dowoon’s turn to fall silent, simply because he must’ve been crying about his father leaving him somewhere on the other side of the country too. 

“Why’d you guys move back here then? Only recently?”

“Mother invested in some new apartments nearby, got the suite and dumped us there.”

Younghyun hums, chewing on the egg yolk. “And... Jaehyung?”

Dowoon studies Younghyun’s inability to look at him in the eye. He’s jealous of Jieun’s best friend.

“You’ll find out when you ask Jieun yourself.”

1. Txt is not an aspect of bts? They are another group with a completely different identity. They are talented enough to match bts thats why armys love them and stan them. You are insulting them (and other groups) by saying that they are just another money making machine for bighit as a replacement for bangtan??

2. Idols hate bts lol everyone knows they do. They are from the biggest most prestigious companys yet they are huge flops compared to bts and that alone is enough for them to hate bts.. ik u are not asian but its a huge thing in asia, like if u work in a rich/huge company or are from a rich family u are so much superior to everyone else and then if someone without a strong background becomes more successful than them, the rich ones automatically hate them (if this sounds like the plot of a kdrama its because. Well. Kdramas are asian dramas and are based on real life)

3. Liking bts doesnt make one superior but liking continuously problematic groups does make one inferior and this is the main reason of twt fanwars because 90% of twt armys come from non western cultures and are deeply affected on so many levels by all the shit these groups and companys pull out every single month 👁👄👁 (dont say its just companys fault lol you know that nct member said lets not talk about this topic and its not just one example) ps: dont pull out the bts rapline were also problematic card bc they apologised for it and havent done it again

ok i’m gonna address point by point what you mentioned here. btw i’m assuming you’re different from the last anon i answered regarding “bts isn’t kpop” but if you are the same anon sorry for repeating stuff

1. i didn’t say txt is an “aspect” of bts. i mentioned them because what they are is the second bg big hit has created from scratch and the immediate successors of bts, a company that, until txt, had NOTHING but bts going for them. and even though txt is already becoming successful, the fact is that, just eyeballing it, bts brings in about 90 to 95% of big hit’s total revenue. big hit has a challenge regarding what they will do to cement themselves as a company beyond bts, and txt is the first step in that direction. when i say cash cow i mean a secondary source of income. my intention was not to disrespect txt at all, which i made clear in that textpost!! i don’t even stan txt and i’ve kept saying that they were far better than bts on the end of the year performances!!! i said, and i quote “txt ate them up because txt is a new group (that has a lot of passion and are hardworking ofc, this isn’t attacking them personally)” 

just a little caveat though, an idol group is always a money making machine for a company... like. it’s important to me that you know that. like, i hope you know that big hit isn’t looking to make groups saying “oh boy, i hope they flop! i hope they’re happy doing what they like and i will never care about the utilities :)” idol companies are literally some of the most money hungry industries because they often operate at a loss. don’t for a second think that bts and txt and any group is more than an asset for the company, whose sole purpose is to make money.

2. idols hate bts?? listen, in the entertainment industry there’s always gonna be drama and backstabbing, so i’m sure there’s animosity between many groups, i’m not naive enough to say that no one hates bts, the same way i’m sure there are plenty of idols who hate exo, who hate red velvet, who hate x or y. but the way you say this is such a delusional, paranoid way to put it. afaik, the last celeb/musician to trash talk bts publicly was befree or whatever tf his name was, that asshole rapper who mocked namjoon and yoongi and called them sellouts for joining an idol group. and that guy is a fucking failure! i think he even went to jail, didn’t he? so please, tell me who these other idols hating bts are, and where are the receipts so i can blacklist them. 

“huge flops” lmao good way to put all the other groups’ efforts down. stop thinking bts’ accomplishments are your own. they’re not. you have no idea the amount of effort each idol group, small or big, puts in just to be able to debut, so stop disrespecting THEM by calling them all flops. i know i’m not korean, i’m not asian, but i have korean friends and according to them all these groups who are supposedly “flops” are doing well in korea. just because they don’t have international success doesn’t mean they’re not commercially acclaimed in their own country. not everyone is out to get bts, i promise you. do you know who’s out to get bts? their akgaes. their sasaengs, and their antis, all those people online who send jimin death threats, who break into their property, who take pictures of their families. i just need to know if you are black or if you are muslim or from a minority that has been hurt by cultural appropriation, if you are then you will know that when an idol group apologizes for doing such things, it is no one’s place but their own to decide whether to accept that apology or not. i am not black, or asian, i am a latin woman who can’t tell you whether it’s okay for bts to do the things they have done. you are contradicting yourself by saying other groups who’ve done cultural appropriation are worse, and then turn around and say to me “dont pull out the bts rapline were also problematic card bc they apologised for it and havent done it again” because guess what? not everyone has forgiven bts either! they have said the n word! they have done native american culture appropriation as recently as december 2020 and neither them nor big hit apologized for that! yoongi releasing the mixtape with that jim jones sample in it was NEVER addressed by him. it was a company statement. so who are you to say that the people still hurt by yoongi’s actions, whether intentional or not, can’t talk about it and be mad at them? [strums guitar] i was hoping you would send one in bc i wanted to wax poetic about ur stuff so here we go. if none of this makes sense it’s because i was so caught up with how nice ur stuff is that i just lost all coherency. ♥ - whenever i look at this edit (which is often) i wanna CRY because it’s SO PRETTY. i know like a whole of 3 things about photoshop. and one of those things is that it can be an absolute pain in the ass to like cut/erase the background from an image and make it into a vector/png. so when i see how CLEAN and CRISP all of the dk images are i’m just. i get emotional. like even the outline of his hair is just? perfect? it’s so clean? wow.. the talent.... that aside, i love how balanced this set is. the typography.. font choice!! placement!! layering!! it really captures the energy of “just do it!” the “i’m gonna fly” strip IS SO CUTE I CANNOT GET OVER IT. it reminds me of the like ribbon logo svt used during ymmd era. the shapes and elements in the bg are.. so cute.. it gives it like a lot of structure, like it makes ur eyes look thru the image in a way that makes so much sense, while also giving it a sense of whimsicality and fun. ALSO THE COLORS!! that red and purple work so well together. ♥ - i think i saw ur edit before i saw the actual photoshoot this came from, and i remember being totally floored when i saw how u cleaned up the photos. AND ON TOP OF THAT THE SUNFLOWERS HE’S HOLDING IN UR EDIT WASN’T IN THE ACTUAL PHOTOSHOOT? YOU EDITED THOSE IN?????? LOOOVE the line art halo you put around seungkwan on the third pic and again the way the elements in the bg guide you through the picture in a logical way that allows you to see everything you should.. it’s really good. exactly, thank you. i don’t criticize liz bc she is not riding my male fave of choice. i criticise bc there are legitimate and glaring problems w/ how she is being written in general. she used to be a flawed but relatable character, i still remember that. then. like you said, she became a blatant plot device and now the unfolding plot is creating so much friction btw who she was introduced as and how she has to behave to float the story that the only “evidence” of her being a capable profiler is that other characters occasionally say “she is a capable profiler” and then we continue to watch her being fooled for the nth time by the same men w/ the same methods - the men she should have profiled by now. but that would clearly undermine the clown plot that hinges on her being “afraid to know” (lol i still can’t believe they went w/ that line)

that said I *do* want to catch up and see if there's something in this new Tom free, Daddygate free TBL i can enjoy. I'm just not sure if taking a running start (ie starting either at the beginning of s3) is the right approach. Or if I should jump in at S5 with little context in hopes that will soften the blow somewhat lol

as always, I can only speak for myself here but knowing they out this nonsensical charade for what it is at the end already softened the blow for me in an unexpected way, and when i got to scenes that i thought would still be tough to swallow, they actually turned out to be either too transparently absurd (e.g. kaplan’s anti crusade) or... well, they had “bloodstream” playing in the bg lol (talk about undercutting a “big reveal”). and there are some genuinely intriguing details dropped along the way as well e.g. FRed telling Dom that “you were conditioned to think I’m selfish” or how (despite his own fixation) FRed puts himself in clear opposition to the brand of obsessive and reckless infantilizing retconned!kaplan employs towards liz. so there’s a nice contrast there + we can also see the ppl who parrot how much he sucks fail spectacularly to produce a viable alternative to his “services”. these are all valuable bits imo but you gotta sit through it all to get them.

I’m pretty sure that some of you are still playing Square Enix’s previous FF online game, Final Fantasy XI. So, great news everyone as “Amelila” has released a new graphics overhaul megapack for it.

This graphics mod significantly improves the Final Fantasy XI’s textures, transforming its blurry and ugly visuals into something that is actually pleasing to the eye, that is actually able to compete with titles released a few years ago. This mod also includes optional HD Bump Maps which will greatly improve your gaming visual experience, though they require a beefy graphics card (according to the author).

Hairstyles in the Sims. Can things ever get stranger?

Some people think thehair that comes with the base game feels a bit too bland, while some don’t like the way hair looks in vanilla Sims 4 at all.

Thankfully hundreds of modders from all over the world have created custom hairstyles to freshen things up.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for the hairstyles for male sims or females or even kids– you’ve come to the right place for all of it!

I’ve divided this list in two parts; the first will give you a breakdown of the best female hair mods for Sims 4, and the second part will tell you all about the best hair mods for male Sims in the game.

12. Jealousy Hair

This long hairstyle takes a spot on my list because it reminds me of one of the coolest hairstyles that already comes in the game; but it’s far better and much more detailed.

I would dare say that this mod could easily replace the one that comes with vanilla Sims 4, but some of you might prefer a more traditional look.

In any case, in terms of long hairs with a tail that runs from back to front, you’ll struggle to find one as good as this.

11. Vapor Hair

When you’re going to rate hair mods, you have to understand that transparency plays almost as much of a part as the quality of textures and the design itself.

It’s a short hairstyle that suits almost every type of lady, and the transparency between the strands feels surprisingly accurate.

10. Ominous Hair

This mod is fantastically detailed, and it offers a unique look.

Actually similar to only one hairstyle that I can recall from the game.

With a small bun on top of the head and some loose hair all over the place, this gives you a stylish look without many similar options.

There are some minor transparency issues but I’m forgiving the issues with this mod because it can’t be easy to model such a unique hairstyle; especially when loose hairs are not intended to be a thing in Sims 4.

9. Paradox Hair

This neat little hairstyle can be used by ladies of all ages, and it comes in a staggering 27 different colors to add plenty of variety to your Sims world.

Try out some of them and see which one fits your Sim the most.

This is a long hairstyle with a ponytail, and it’s detailed enough to be one of the best I’ve seen for the game.

8. Runaway Hair

Detailed and beautiful, the long Runaway Hair is by far one of my favorite hair mods to put on.

Granted, I think the hair itself looks pretty good in real life too. And that might’ve played a part on my decision.

But hey: that doesn’t take away from the astonishing level of work that went into this creation.

7. Prisma Hair

Am I going crazy, because I don’t think there’s a single hairstyle as long as this one in the base game.

I’m trying to recall but I just can’t think of any!

Those who love to see their female Sims with long hair might want to check this one out.

Autocad 18 serial number. Serial numbers are unique codes associated with your Autodesk Account and a particular product that you have purchased or is otherwise available to you. For 2014 versions and later, you can find them in Autodesk Account, on the Management tab. Depending on your license type, you may not need a serial number to launch your product.

It doesn’t seem to have much transparency issues given that it’s mostly uniform in color, so that’s an added plus.

6. High Life Hair

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about short hair options.

And this one takes the cake as one of my favorites for the game.

I mostly play with male sims, I do admit that. But I have to tell you that those of you who want to see their Sims rock a short hairstyle with much more details than the ones that come with the base game are going to want to try this one out.

It can be used by Sims of all ages(starting Teen) but it does fit better on Young Adults, in my opinion. Encyclopedia britannica software download.

Yet it’s up to you to decide who rocks it!

5. Envy Hair

Another hairstyle with a unique design, this time being one that is far more withdrawn and less loose than others.

But I figure this can work pretty well on entrepreneurs and businesswoman Sims.

It just seems like a perfect fit for them, you know?

It’s that classic short hairstyle that seemed to be quite popular in the 80s, in which the hair wasn’t really short per se… but it was made to look like it was.

A picture is worth a thousand words though – so check it out!

4. Perfect Illusion

The creator of this mod used Lady Gaga as a reference. And I think the result turned out to be quite accurate.

This hair is super complex and you’ll have a Sim rocking quite a unique style like a rockstar.

Although this type of hair is already included in the base game (or a very similar one, at least). So it may not add a totally unique twist, but it’s worth a download if it could fit with your Sim’s style.

3. Parallel Hair

Wait, braids? I mean, DOUBLE BRAIDS?

How come these are not a thing on the base game?

This one takes the classic “good girl” look to the next level by adding this fantastic hairstyle, which can be used by Sims of all ages.

The best thing about the mod is that the braids are compatible with most of the hats that your Sim can wear too.

Which means it won’t interfere with your quest of creating that hat-loving personality you’ve always wanted.

2. Eden Hair

Another extremely long hair design takes the number two spot on my list. Mainly because I really love long hairs and the base game didn’t provide us with as many options as I would’ve wanted.

In any case, this one flows like a cascade through the left side of your Sim’s body and goes all the way down to the waist.

By far one of the longest hair mods that you’ll find, and it comes in dozens of different colors.

1. Nightcrawler Hair

Look, as much as I love long hair in this game, I couldn’t really avoid putting this mod as the number one on my list.

Fantastically well detailed as well as brilliantly executed in terms of transparency and compatibility issues, the Nightcrawler hair is as modern as it is eccentric.

This hairstyle fits women of all sorts, but housewives or business ladies might look particularly good with this.

You decide, though, as this mod puts the choices in your own hands.

10. Nicholas Hair

A simple short design that is widely used by men in today’s world, the Nicholas Hair mod makes quite a fantastic addition to the game.

Well, mostly if you’re looking to add a style that suits almost every type of serious-looking Sim.

If you’re playing with a different type, like one that looks to live more of a bohemian lifestyle, then keep reading. There’s something here for you too.

9. Haunting Hairstyles

Shorter hair on the sides doesn’t always have to be as noticeable in order for it to look stylish.

And this hair mod shows exactly why.

Hair that is well-combed is sure to attract a lot of attention, and the Haunting Hairstyles mod will add exactly that to the game.

Plus you’ll have the option to paint various colors thanks to the mod creator’s hard efforts.

8. Hair N4

If you’re into the modern hairstyles usually rocked by sports stars and celebrities, then this mod is going to fit perfectly.

There isn’t one quite like it in the main game, as most that come with The Sims tend to have either an exaggerated mohawk or simply not as much on the sides.

This cut is as balanced as it gets. And you’re going to love the way your Sim looks with it.

As many others in this list, it also comes with color options that’ll give you an extra touch of variety!

7. Like Lust Hair

Are you trying to have your Sim look better than the rest?

Are you tired of the way some of the game’s basic hairstyles look, but you still want a stylish and not-so-cartoonish hair put on top of your male Sim’s head?

This one is like an improved version of the last mod, and in my opinion it looks even better.

You’re going to love watching your Sim rock it; I’m sure of it.

It comes with custom shadowing too, which also enhances realism by a landslide compared to others on this list.

6. Wavves

Those who have wavy hair might not feel as represented in The Sims 4 community, well as much as those with straight hair.

So it’s time to put a stop to it with the Wavves Hairstyle mod.

This modern update takes a different approach than the rest by adding hair with waves to the game.

But beware – you’re going to need a good computer to make this one look its best. But again, this is The Sims we’re talking about… not exactly a GPU hog.

5. Hysteria

Faded on the sites and very long on the right side of the head, combed to the left.

Quite a unique look, if I may say so myself.

This is the typical hairstyle in forms of modern advertising rocked by those models looking brand-new the day of the photoshoot.

Wish we could all pull this off…

In any case, the hairstyle should suit any man quite nicely. In real life or in Sims land.

4. Electric

Stylish, modern, and worthy of any businessman.

This short hairstyle looks quite good on Sims of all backgrounds.

But I have to say that it’s quite a fantastic one to try on teens or young adults. I think it fits them quite well, but I’m sure you’ll love the way it looks on any wearer.

Plus it’s free so what do you have to lose?

3. Darko

Another modern style that starts with a faded cut on the sides.

But this one has more hair atop of the head, much like the original one that comes with vanilla Sims 4.

If you look closely you’ll notice this one is far more detailed though!

2. Blackout

Feel like a true samurai with the blackout hairstyle.

Which is actually quite a longer hairstyle than you might think on first glance.

Well-rounded and a bit messy, this hair add-on definitely offers something that no other hairstyle in vanilla even comes close to.

1. Psycho

I’m not really sure why most male models used for Sims hairstyles look so weird. But hey, I’m sure Maxis has a good reason.

UM Interview: Zac Taylor

New Zealand native, Zac Taylor is ready to conquer the music industry on his own. A former member of Pop Group, Titanium, Taylor found success in the group with their debut single “Come On Home” reaching Number 1 on the official New Zealand Singles Charts and reaching double platinum status in 2012.

After leaving the band in 2016, Taylor has spent his time traveling, writing and working on his music, which he is ready to share with the world. On December 11, 2020 Zac Taylor makes his debut with his solo release “Stay The Night”, where he brings a new wave of Soul, Pop and R&B into the industry.

Brittany Geertgens sat down with Zac Taylor to talk about his new single “Stay The Night”, musical influences, growth as a musician and more!

Brittany Geertgens: Hi Zac, how about you introduce yourself to the listeners and tell us a random fun fact about yourself? Zac Taylor: People can never usually guess what ethnicity I am so I guess that’s a fun fact. I’m New Zealand/Singaporean. I’ve been doing this singing thing since I was a kid, it’s something I am truly passionate about.

BG: Alright so, for the listeners that's never heard of you before how you describe your music? ZT: I’m bringing a new wave of soul, pop & RnB. I try to instil a sense of warmth and truth within soothing vocals and tasty melodies.

BG: Your genre of music is listed as soul, pop and rnb. Who are some of your musical influences that's inspired you? ZT: My inspiration comes from many genres & artists. I grew up listening to a lot of soul music but also a lot of pop. To name a few of my musical influences I would say, Michael Buble, John Legend, Celine Dion, Craig David, Michael Jackson & Elvis Presley.

BG: If you had to pick another genre to pursue which would you pick, and why? ZT: I love rap. Its something I’ve never really done but I feel you can say a whole lot more within a rap in comparison to a song.

BG: What's your earliest musical memory? ZT: I remember watching the Michael Jackson concert live on TV with my family. It was a massive event for New Zealanders and I remember how inspiring it was.

BG: Besides music, what are some things you enjoy doing/hobbies you have? ZT: I love exploring new places, travelling and staying fit & healthy. One of the hardest things about being in lockdown during covid was not being able to go to a gym and just push your body to new limits.

BG: Who inspires you? Musically and personally? ZT: I think my Mother is my biggest inspiration. Musically I’m just inspired by people who create music that instantly makes me feel something.

BG: You get the opportunity to put together a tour. You're headlining. What three artists/ bands are you picking to open for you? ZT: Thats a tough one. I would love to bring other musical friends of mine on tour. Being able to go on tour is a blessing but if you get to share that with your friends as well then that’s something special.

BG: Your single “Stay in the Night” is releasing on 12.11. Tell us about the single. What inspired the song and what was the writing process like? ZT: Stay in the night is the all too familiar story of being with someone and wanting to remain in a time or a moment - not wanting it to end. A direct love song laying down the emotions we all feel, no matter what surrounds us in the time.

I was inspired by an old relationship of mine to write this song, It came about super naturally. Working with two of my close friends who are both incredible musically which made the whole writing process that much better.

BG: Is this single musically different from your previous music releases? If so, how? ZT: This is my first solo release as an artist. I was previously in a pop group called ‘Titanium’ back in New Zealand so I would say this is very different but being in that group helped shape some of the sound that I have created.

BG: How have you grown this year as a musician? ZT: Massively, being forced into isolation because of a global pandemic helped me focus in on what I love and gave me the opportunity to dig deep into my song writing. I feel very grounded this year and look forward to going into 2021 with a new sense of freedom.

BG: How has the pandemic affected you as a musician? ZT: It helped put a lot of things into perspective. No matter what happens in my life. Jobs come and go, people come and go but music literally stays with you through it all.

BG: If you could change anything about the music industry what would it be and why? ZT: Fairness and transparency. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs and it just seems to be a recurring thing in this industry.

BG: What advice would you give to a young musician just starting their music career? ZT: Stay true to yourself, surround yourself with people who genuinely care for you outside of music. If you do that, you can’t lose.

BG: What can fans expect from Zac in the new year? ZT: More music, more visuals & of course live shows. I want to dive deeper into my artistry moving forward so I’m excited to have you all join me as I go on this journey.

Appetizers: Sketches ranging from 15 to 20 dollars! I can’t stand things not being colored in some way so they have basic color on them too! +5 dollars for extra characters! <3

Entrees: Full-colored drawings! The prices start at 30, but vary depending on how complicated your character’s design is, if you want background or an extra character. If you don’t opt for the background, you’ll get a simple one-color square or small shapes. 

Full Course: The biggest order option: Comics! I love making comics so don’t hesitate to tell me about your rp or comic ideas that I could put to paper! It’s a lot of work so prices extend from 100-150 dollars per page on comic book style, and 3 or 4 panel-comics to be 40 or 50 per page. Two characters minimum, but if you give me a script, I can work with just one. If you want more characters, it would be a $15 dollar extra, depending on their design. I would need to be able to contact you often on this one to send you drafts/scripts/etc or to go over details! ; 3 ; /)

Dessert A: Cute simple drawings including a simple bg or shapes or transparency! These are really fun to do, haha, and are one of the fastest. The price ranges from 20-35, depending on what you want! For extra characters, it would add half price to the full one! Dessert A is more chalky, and more humanlike, B is softer and stocky, and C is a soft, detailed, colorful painting style

Dessert B: Icons that can come in three different coloring style! A is chalky, simple, but still v cute! B is more painty, more colorful and more detailed, and C is a super soft paint style with mostly round features!

Finally, the 5 dollar menu! For 5 extra dollars, I could add fun little touch-ups to the final drawing! Like smooth blinking, framed smiling animations, sparkles, stars, small movements, glow effect, eyes movement, blush, etc! (anything else, please ask me!)
