@mutatedangels
It was the rare occasion where the Jedi Council tasked Camiss with something on Coruscant. Though the Coruscant underworld was a true hive of scum and villainy, the Jedi weren't involved in the policing of it. Camiss wasn't in the underworld tonight, but he might as well have been.
He looked up at the neon "Astral Nightclub" sign to make sure he was in the right place. Jedi didn't often find themselves at these kinds of establishments, but when you're searching for a bounty hunter, you don't often find yourselves at the finest of places.
Camiss pulled his hood over his head as he walked inside. The bounty hunter he was looking for, a Rodian named Esco Dalibar, had seen Camiss on a number of occasions. Camiss had been chasing him around the galaxy for about a year at this point, but he finally had solid intel that he'd be at this club tonight.
He scanned the room as he walked, looking for a place to sit and camp out for the time being. He wanted to blend in, so he took a seat at a table near the stage facing the dancers. As much as they were trying to gain his attention, Camiss had no trouble keeping his mind focused on his mission.
Time was passing by, and there had been no sign of Dalibar or any Rodians. He wasn't told a specific time, and that was something he should've asked. Camiss decided to get up and take a lap around the room, searching for any suspicious behavior Dalibar could be involved in.
In the corner he noticed a Besalisk huddled close to and whispering to someone in a hood, seemingly trying to hide himself as much as Camiss was. He'd never seen this Besalisk before, and there weren't many on Coruscant.
He decided to ask someone if they knew who he was, so Camiss stopped one of the dancers as she was walking by.
"Excuse me, ma'am, but do you know who that Besalisk over there is?"

@dustorgold // soleil x camiss
Tumblr media
"No offense, but are you even, like, qualified to be doing this?" Soleil asked, cheek in her palm as she rested her elbow on the desk. A drawn-out, dramatic sigh left her lips. Everybody else's Master was cool, teaching their Padawans how to do kickflips and dodges with their lightsabers. Meanwhile, she and Camiss were stuck in the library, hitting the books.
The pair was matched up by the Jedi High Council a couple of weeks ago. She'd never met Camiss before that fateful day they were partnered up, but if she had, she'd probably protest as soon as the High Council's decision was made. He was so buttoned-up to her. And if it turned out that he wasn't really that buttoned-up after all and just seemed like it, then he had a lot of explaining to do. Her point being, she was the total opposite of buttoned-up and really wished she could have been coupled with somebody who matched her tempo instead.

Já pensei em mil cartas de despedidas. Inclusive me lembro que quando era criança escrevia “testamentos”. Nunca acreditei que viveria muito ou talvez sempre fui fã da morte.
Vi e vivi tantas coisas nesses anos, e as vezes ainda fico me perguntando porque eu sou ansiosa, depressiva e nunca me curei disso mesmo quando estava “tudo bem”.
Quando a dor aperta eu lembro de coisas que jurava ter esquecido. Parece que meu corpo sente como se eu tivesse vivenciado aquilo ontem.
Final do ano passado pra esse ano eu segurei tanta barra sozinha, engoli tanto choro, tomei tanto remédio pra me virar sozinha.

2022 Mission San Buenaventura It’s been awhile since I visited this Mission. Attended mass here once. Finally visited all California missions a few years back. What I found most interesting were the relics. Pretty amazing. A small mission compared to other nearby Missions like Santa Barbara. Learned about the El Camino Real bells. #camissions #californiamissions #missionventura #missionsanbuenaventura #missionsanbuenadventura #californiamissionchurches (at Mission Basilica San Buenaventura) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClDXNYRL9Ee/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

An Unexpected Encounter | Camiss x Una
@unatempens-a
       The war continued to be a tough fight. Camiss had just spent a month on the front lines of Onderon trying to resist another Separatist take over of the planet. The battles proved tough, even for an expert general, but the clone army did its job and secured a huge win for the Republic.
        Camiss was back on Coruscant awaiting his next orders. The Council was kind enough to give him a multi-day break this time, as he usually gets no more than a day or two before he is shipped out to another planet. High ranking Jedi typically went weeks without and assignment, mostly spending their time at the Temple discussing the same things over and over. Camiss, instead of that, decided he would go out into the city, not dressed as a Jedi of course, to try and gauge public perception of the war, knowing that at this point, it was from from positive.
       Camiss decided to walk down a street lined with merchants. This wasn’t the bad side of town (he had learned his lesson on doing that), so he felt okay giving his money to hard-working people. He knew life had become hard in the last few months, and he would do anything he could to help. As he finished paying for some Bantha meat, he noticed someone out of the corner of his eye who had snuck some food from the stand. Camiss hurried to catch up to them and tapped them on the shoulder “Excuse me miss, you do know you have to pa-” His jaw dropped when she turned around and he noticed who it was. “Una? Is that you?”

First Timer | Una x Camiss
The club’s heartbeat thump, thump, thumped as Una got ready for her shift in the dressing room. She’d exchanged her greased-up shirt and yesterday’s pants for an outfit she couldn’t have in her own home without getting in trouble: a neon yellow latex crop top that might as well have been suited for swimming, and a matching pair of hotpants that hardly left anything for the imagination. But, Boss Thedo said, she was the premier girl for the night-- Peridot was home sick, or so she told-- and that meant she had to be ready for whatever  Coruscant’s bottom of the barrel threw at her.
That was a bit harsh. The men who perused Astra Nightclub had god-tier cash flow, not even needing to think about tapping into their earnings to have a frivolous night with some unknown girl. So they were good for their money-- it was just their personalities that could use some tuning.
She halted her ritualistic application of mascara to sway her hips to the manufactured beat of the song playing outside. She popped her pink lips to perfection in the mirror before turning to start walking out to the club. Just as she took her first step towards the door, Boss Thedo barged in the room, slamming the door against the wall.
“Una! Goddammit, what’s takin’ ye so long?” A thick, brutish accent left Boss Thedo’s drunken mouth.
Una rolled her eyes. “Relax, Boss, I was just about to--”
“Ah, forgit it!” he waved his hand. “Listen.” His voice dropped, and he looked over his shoulder at the bar before walking in and closing the door behind him. He approached her and towered over her. “S’a Jedi in here.”
Una snickered. “So?”
“So,” Boss Thedo reiterated, “I need ye to be on top’av him-- literally if y’ave to be-- te make sure he don’t start no trouble in me club.”
Una huffed, crossing her arms in front of her chest. She’d never encountered a Jedi on shift, but she’d certainly crossed one before. They were uptight, holier-than-thou, and thought waving around a lightsaber made them kings. But, she thought, it was the cleaner option of having to tend to any possible Hutt-like beings that were out on that floor, so she thought to accept her task for the night.
As if she had a choice.
“Fine,” she said. “Leave it to me.”
Una gave her hair one last zhuzh in the mirror before gallivanting out onto the floor. She squealed and waved in greeting to the other girls on the floor, admittedly having made a camaraderie with them, before she caught a glance of the Jedi across the room. He wasn’t hard to miss, especially given all the other eyes that were on him. She approached him fearlessly, taking a seat beside him at the bar and ordering a virgin pecha berry drink-- loud enough to maybe catch the attention of the Jedi.
“Thanks, Tel,” she said, winking at the bartender before retrieving her drink and taking a sip. She peered over at the Jedi, smirking. Thankfully, the club music was muffled over by the bar, so she didn’t have to strain too hard to be heard by him. “Is this your first time? I get it. I’d be a little nervous too if some attractive woman came up and just started talking to me.”

@sporadiccollectionnerd // una x camiss
“I can’t believe you made me late!” Una yelled, getting out of the car once Matt parked it right at the entrance of the nightclub and slamming the door right behind her. She nearly walked out into incoming traffic, some truck honking violently at her as it swerved to get around her, and yet she wasn’t fazed, stomping to get around the car and head inside. “Pick me up at 4 a.m.,” she mumbled bitterly, tossing the strap of her mini backpack over her shoulder, pure ice toward her inconsiderate boyfriend and not even bothering to look at him before she began to walk away.
Matt grabbed her by the arm and she yelped, stopping right in her tracks. “Ow, jeez! What’s your problem?” she asked, eyes shifting around her to make sure none of her coworkers were around. The bouncers were there, but they weren’t paying attention. Una shrunk, looking up at her boyfriend, who suddenly towered over her.
“Apologize, brat,” he spat, growling at her. Una scoffed in return; why the hell would she need to apologize? Her routine started in less than five minutes and she wasn’t even in her outfit yet. But Matt’s grip on her arm tightened and she sighed, yanking her arm back.
“Fine. I’m sorry,” she said, looking down. “Thanks for the ride.”
Matt gave her a kiss and she begrudgingly returned it, pulling away as early as she could only to meet the gaze of someone who’d been walking past her towards the entrance of the club. Shame was splayed all over her features, lips pressing together in some pout. Wordlessly, she head into the club right behind him and his group of friends, grip tight on the strap of her backpack.
Tumblr media
She slithered her way over to the dressing room, where she anticipated getting scolded by her boss for arriving late. Thankfully, it was empty. Feeling hollow, she quickly applied her makeup and changed into neon green latex crop top and some black leather hot shorts. Exchanging her beat-up yellow converse for a pair of platform pink heels, she heard the DJ call her name and knew it was time to put on a pretty face.

Doing His Duty | Camiss x Una
@unatempens
       It had been a few days since Camiss had last seen Una. He had yet to be assigned a new mission, which meant he had been backmhome in the Jedi Temple. One day, he was at a meeting with the Council, when they received a holo transmission from a senator on Rodia.
       “Jedi Council, my planet is in dire need of help,” the senator said. “Multiple shipments of food heading towards our planet have been destroyed by pirates. We need assistance transporting this next one. It needs to be protected. Anything you can do will help.”
       To Camiss’s surprise, this message received almost no reaction from the Council. “Rodia is a neutral system,” Master Mace Windu said. “There is no way the senate or the chancellor will be willing to send anyone to help them. Send no reply.”
       Camiss was never around for council meetings, so this response came as a surprise to him. “It wouldn’t be too hard to send a couple of us in starfighters to do this,” he said. “I can go, and I could even bring a few of my men.” But the council didn’t agree with Camiss. They weren’t allowed to do things like this, not during war, without approval from the senate or chancellor.
       Upset, Camiss walked out alone as soon as the meeting ended. He didn’t care if the Rodians were independent (or that one had tried to kill him just over a month ago), it was his duty to protect those who needed it. No other Jedi would be willing to do this, so he hopped in his ship and flew over to someone who he knew would.
       He arrived at his destination, got out, and knocked on the door. “I’m gonna need your help with something,” he said after the door opened. “If you come, you get to fly.”
