How to recognize genuine Calvin Klein perfumes?
Use these steps to determine the genuine Calvin Klein perfumes
Licensed Retailers: Buy from trusted retailers like FragranceOutlet or the brand's official website. Avoid buying from strangers online and from street vendors.
Packaging quality: Original perfumes come in attractive packaging with legible lettering and insignia.
Check for consistent logo placement, font choices, and appropriate spelling on the bottle, cap, and packaging.
Serial Numbers: A few unique serial numbers or barcodes are present on some originals and may be checked on the brand's website.
Performance and Aroma: Real perfumes have recognizable aromas and respectable longevity. If the smell is noticeably different, be wary.
Cost: Be skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true. There is a set pricing range for genuine Calvin Klein perfumes.
Some products feature batch codes that can be used to check their legitimacy and manufacturing dates online.
Genuine perfumes frequently feature plastic wrapping or complete seals on the box or bottle.
Reviews: To determine the legitimacy of a particular scent, look for user comments and reviews.

90’s Fragrances, Day 3: Calvin Klein CK One EDT (1994)
CK One is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women and men, created by Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont. You could not escape this scent in the 90's and it would be remiss of me not to include it in my week of 90's perfumes. I do remember selling this when I worked on the beauty counter, we had a special stand for it (rather near the door, so we had to frequently check nobody lifted them!), though it had launched a little before I worked there. It had a huge impact, marketed as a unisex fragrance, something pretty much unheard of then and with a minimalist bottle (a bit like a milk bottle, flattened and frosted) with Kate Moss at the fore of the adverts amongst half naked models, all presented in black and white. I have to admit, it didn't appeal to the teenage me; the ad campaign, the bottle or the scent, but then I'm someone that definitely gravitates towards kitsch, pretty and colourful bottles. It was trying to be edgy and ground breaking and for the most part succeeded (like I say it was everywhere), but it definitely appealed to the younger market.
I've come to realise this week that 90's scents like a lot of notes in them, this one opens with among other things, lemon, bergamot and pineapple with floral notes in the middle, like jasmine, violet and freesia with a base of green tea, amber, cedar, musk and more. It's heavily citric and green, though I actually quite enjoyed it. It sits close to the skin with little to no projection (for reference I was using a 15ml mini bottle without a spray). This has been reformulated since it's release, though many note it hasn't changed much, but longevity is poorer. I have to say 5 or 6 hours after application, there's nothing on my arm, it definitely only lasts a few hours on me.
My verdict; I'd love to layer this. Citrus scents aren't really my preference, as they can so often remind me of household cleaning products (sorry), but I think I'd like to see how this pairs with something else and if it helps the lasting power out a bit. Again it's hard to believe this fragrance is heading for it's 30th birthday soon, however I don't see it appealing to the tastes of kids nowadays. It's market I fear is limited to nostalgic buyers and most of us have outgrown scents we loved in our 90's youth. It's certainly not something I'd reach for often these days (in my 40's).
