the fact that they took time to send you a hate ask is quite amusing. i smell a stalker here.

i'm a writer myself here on tumblr and yes the feedback is the worst thing. EVER. I've seen many authors of many fandoms complain, whether it's kpop, anime, or other genre tvs.

and, i remember sending an ask to you, abt your thoughts on post + and interaction here, you said that you didn't want to force ppl into your content but that their interaction would be a motivational force for you to produce more fics.

and abt, "you haven't improved" well first fuck you anon. second, who are you to have an opinion that she hasn't improved? if someone looks back and cringes or has a feeling that they have become batter at something, then they are better. like who hurt you? my precious sister compared herself to her past self, and you are offended?

"13 yr old who just discovered what writing online was" well, we can all guess who is the 13 yr old here.

anyone can write all they want and post all thry want and flood the tags. it's not your fault that u flood the tags love. you have a consistent schedule, and as a writer myself I admire that so much. the only way someone can be criticised for over writing is when they post so much and sabotage others' works. M doesn't dothat. she is the greatest person ever.

if someone is angry that you posts a lot, it's not your fault. if they want to be higher than you, then they should put some hard work and be consistent. (i'm not degrading other authors, it's the truth)

and about hard work, DON'T YOU DARE SAY ME THAT M DOESN'T PUT HARD WORK INTO HERS. there's hard work in writing even two paragraphs. hard work in posting it here. hard work in being consistent. writing for free is hard work.

just because you think that she doesn't put hard work doesn't mean anything. do you think it does? if you didn't like the content she made or thought it was "mediocre" then you should've stopped consuming them. why did u do it? whose fault is it ?!?! M's? it's your fault. you read bcuz it's free content? you took the choice. YOUR fault.

y/n thought that if she had to listen to Mingi whine for five minutes longer, she’d officially lose her mind. She’d been close to it more times than she could count in the past two hours. While she waited for Yunho, with Mingi and Bora, the news played loudly in the background as she tapped her fingers impatiently on the table.

“Please sit down,” she asked for the nth time, fingers sinking on the side of her face as she pulled up, as if the pressure would somehow bury the headache that was blooming behind. “Please, Mingi.”

Mingi’s left hand closed in a fist and opened as quickly in a nervous gesture. “I can’t stay still,” he murmured. 

Bora gave him a look mixed between pointed and soft, which was enough to get Mingi to finally take a seat. y/n felt her annoyance grow the slightest bit. Of course he had to listen to Bora, everyone listened to Bora.

“What do we do?” Mingi spoke again, rubbing his hands together. 

“I should have pressed the button,” Bora murmured, tracing the edge of the cube that rested on the table. The “if things go very wrong, use this” part of the plan. Well, things had gone very wrong a couple hours ago and she had refused. 

“Maybe,” Mingi brought his hand down to the table, startling both girls. “Maybe I can use this!” 

This was the ring Yunho had stolen from a sorcerer and given to Mingi. Who, of course, had absolutely no clue of how to use it. No matter how much he claimed he was probably a little bit of a magic being himself. She wanted to tell him no, he didn’t know how much worse he could make things. But what did it matter what she thought? If they always ended up doing what Yunho or Bora wanted. y/n thought she should be used to it by now, this role of being the extra who had a couple lines every few episodes and everyone remembered she actually existed when she came in handy, when she had something the hero could use to move on on his quest. On this occasion, it was access to the lab in which they were waiting for Yunho.

“And what exactly would you do with it?” Bora crossed her arms above her chest, “You don’t even know how to use it.”

“It cannot be that hard,” Mingi insisted, jumping from his seat. “I can just ask to see Yunho, that’s all we want, isn’t it? To know that he’s okay.”

Bora seemed to consider this, stepping away from the cube and looking at y/n to ask for her input. 

“It was magic that got us into this mess,” y/n replied, not looking at Bora, “Can we please just be careful?”

Both her friends seemed mildly disappointed at her response. That was common too, she was the killjoy a lot of the time. Of course y/n was afraid of getting in trouble, Spider-Man was considered an outlaw, and being involved with him made them targets too. That had been proved a few weeks ago when Yunho’s identity was revealed. But worrying about trouble didn’t compare to the fear she felt for their safety, especially Yunho’s. y/n hadn’t stopped worrying about Yunho’s safety since she found out about his secret identity. Because she had found out, she didn’t have a big reveal like Bora and Mingi did.

y/n had noticed the little things. The growing tardies and absences from Yunho, skipping plans, the cuts and bruises, the sudden shift in his open personality now secretive and avoidant. She had wanted to ask him more than once what the hell was going on with him, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. Part of her thought that maybe, Yunho was just avoiding her, that their friendship was hanging on by a very thin thread Yunho couldn’t just cut. 

Because y/n had also noticed she’d become the odd one out. Golden Trios existed, not golden quartets. And even before they all shared Yunho's big secret, y/n’s role in the group progressively came to be the extra, even if it was her who’d known Yunho the longest. Bora was the love interest, Mingi was the best friend, Yunho was the hero. So what did that make out of y/n? The handy extra with hidden feelings for the hero, that’s what she was. 

It happened one night when they were studying chemistry together, a couple years ago. Yunho had been late and the pizza was cold, yet he still ate it like a starving man while he drew skeletal formulas on a piece of paper and got distracted every few seconds by the TV. y/n took in his disheveled hair, the newly added cut to his cheekbone, and when he stretched to grab another piece of pizza, the mark on his wrist, like he’d had something pressed against it for a long time. 

“How long has it been going on?” She tried first, while Shelley Duvall swung a bat at Jack Nicholson on TV.

Yunho took his eyes off the movie, giving her a puzzled look while still chewing. “What?”

Their heights matched, y/n had checked with the pictures published in Daily Bugle and videos posted on Youtube. That was another thing. But then again, maybe she was being paranoid. 

“How long have you been Spider-Man?” y/n paused the movie, drowning the room in a tense silence. Maybe he would laugh at her, wondering where the hell she got those ideas, maybe he would accuse her of being paranoid, much like she had thought. But maybe he would finally be honest. 

Yunho wiped his greasy fingers on a napkin after leaving his half-eaten pizza back on the cardboard. He considered her, his head falling sideways as his thoughts raced. If anyone were to find out, of course it had to be y/n, it seemed like she had to know everything and this wasn’t the exception. 

“Not long,” he sighed, pushing the unfinished chemistry work aside. “How long have you known?”

“Not long,” she echoed, which was technically a lie, she had known for a while, she just needed to be sure.

With a chuckle, Yunho filled his mouth with pizza again, earning some time to think how to proceed with this. Spider-Man was supposed to remain a secret for everyone, but he couldn’t deny that y/n’s confrontation had lifted a weight off his shoulders. Sharing the weight of a secret always made it easier to carry, he wouldn’t think that, of course, years later when his friends and family got harrassed for being involved in said secret.

“I won’t tell anyone,” y/n filled the silence for him, resuming the movie and looking down at her own formulas. “Your secret is safe with me.” 

“I know,” Yunho whispered, scooting closer to bump his shoulder against hers. 

This was her ticket back to the group. She wasn’t the extra anymore, she was the Keeper of Secrets, which of course had to be a big deal. And maybe, if she had that little additional luck the writers of the show of her life would promote her—finally— to Love Interest. Because that was what she wanted from the start, maybe even since Yunho had moved to her neighborhood when they were six years old.

But that promotion never came, and she was back to being the ‘oh there she is’ character in Jeong Yunho’s life. They graduated high school, Yunho and Bora started dating, Mingi became the faithful sidekick and y/n still struggled to move on.

“Well, maybe you could try,” Bora decided, heaving a sigh. “But please be careful, y/n is right, we have enough problems already.”

The aforementioned bit her tongue to keep quiet. “I am as worried for him as you are but—”

Mingi wouldn’t give Bora a chance to change her mind. Before y/n could even finish her sentence, he was already making circles in the air with the hand that held the ring. y/n felt her stomach twist, she had a terrible feeling about this. 

“We want to see Yunho, please, show us Yunho,” Mingi was almost chanting as he kept moving his hand effusively. 

Sparks flew and Bora gasped. Mingi jumped excitedly, and continued with his task as Bora encouraged him. 

y/n’s anxiety climbed up to her throat, closing it, as a portal opened in the middle of the room. Her ears buzzed, she didn’t even hear Mingi cheering or Bora’s scared squeak, her eyes were fixed on the portal and the person inside it. He was wearing a Spider-Man suit, slightly different from the one she knew, but he was the same height and had the same build as her friend. And the same face, once he removed the mask. The biggest difference was that his hair was dyed blond, while Yunho’s was a bright blue. 

“That’s not our Yunho,” she managed to croak through the knot on her vocal chords, one that was dissolving into acid. She wanted to throw up. “He’s not ours!”

Both her friends were startled by her words, and her sudden spring into action. But what the hell could she do standing in front of an open portal while a Yunho-looking stranger crossed? She couldn’t fight, and the closest thing to a weapon that she had was her smartphone, she didn’t want to throw her smartphone. 

“What do I do?” Mingi gasped as Bora pushed his ringed hand down, to shut the portal. 

The world stopped for a moment, as the not-Yunho’s mouth fell open and, before any of them could react, he held y/n between his arms. The girl stood petrified for a few seconds, before Bora pushed the imposter away from her. 

“I’m sorry,” he said, wiping his eyes. He was Yunho, he spoke exactly alike, too. “I’m so sorry.”

Bora grabbed the first thing she found on the surface of the table, which happened to be an empty Coke bottle, and pointed it at Yunho. “Who the hell are you?”

Yunho still stared at y/n, his reddened eyes filling with tears again. y/n felt a pang of guilt as she took a step away from him, towards Mingi, who finally having forgotten about the magic, wrapped his arm around her. 

“Yunho,” the blond guy replied, running a gloved hand through his hair and blinking away the stinging from eyes. “I just– I’m not sure where I am.”

Bora raised the plastic bottle once again. “Where did you come from?”

Yunho gave a quick explanation of how he’d gotten to their city, it involved more portals, of course. How he was Spider-Man too, and how before stepping into the portal that had brought him to this room, he hoped he might finally be going home.

“Great,” Bora muttered, finally dropping her weapon. “So it wasn’t just the bad guys that came.”

“I could help,” Yunho offered, “I have seen half of those guys before, caught a couple of them.” he shrugged. 

“Honestly,” Mingi intervened for the first time, “What we really want right now is our Yunho back. No offense.”

Yunho shrugged once again, his eyes falling from Mingi to y/n. What kind of sick game was the universe playing against him to bring him here?

“Try again,” y/n murmured, squeezing Mingi’s hand. “Try again, he is in trouble.”

Mingi looked for Bora’s approval, always Bora’s approval. 

She nodded.

“Are you sure you know how to use that?” Yunho asked, crushing his mask on his left fist. 

Mingi squinted at him. “I brought you here didn’t I?”

“Just do it, Mingi. Hurry up,” y/n took a deep breath as Bora pulled her to the side, away from Yunho and Mingi. 

“That was weird, wasn’t it?” Bora muttered as Mingi struggled to focus. “He knew you.”

y/n shivered, the ghost of the way Other Yunho had squeezed her between his arms passing through her. “Maybe there is one of me where he comes from too.” She didn’t want to think much about it, she had a bad feeling about this too.

The sparks of another portal opening interrupted Bora’s reply, and y/n’s stomach sank as another Spider-Man came through. Not their Yunho, again, she knew it. 

This was a middle-aged version of Yunho, dark haired and with crow’s feet around his eyes. This last detail released a wave of warmth in y/n, laughter lines meant he was happy. 

“Who’s doing the introductions this time?” Mingi asked taking the ring off, willing to throw it to the other side of the room, before reconsidering and finally putting it inside the pocket of his jacket. 

Older Yunho’s eyes scanned the three of them first, and then stopped in his other self, widening.  “What are we doing here?” he questioned.

“Funny you should ask,” Other Yunho sighed, “But we’re still missing one of us.”

“How about we look for him the old way now?” y/n suggested, she couldn’t stop staring at both versions of the boy she loved with unmasked surprise, and a tinge of fear. “Is there a place you went when things went wrong? To gather your thoughts?”

Bora and Mingi frowned. That was the kind of thing they were supposed to know, as Yunho’s best friends, but they had absolutely no idea of what to say. 

“I think I know where,” Other Yunho said, looking at his older counterpart, who nodded.

“We’re coming too!” Bora jumped, pulling Mingi first and, as if she’d forgotten y/n had been there at all, looked for her at last. 

y/n shook her head, “Maybe they should go alone, it’s the kind of situation only they understand.”

Both Yunho’s spoke words of agreement but Bora argued for a few minutes, before Mingi yielded, making her do so too. 

“We’ll bring him back,” Other Yunho promised, and y/n who had been pinching her leg to center herself and avoid finally breaking into a panic, realized he was talking to her. Not Bora.

She nodded, although Yunho’s misinterpretation made her stomach hurt with sadness. If he knew, in the scarce time he’d been around, did that mean her Yunho knew her true feelings too?

y/n jumped from her seat the moment the doors opened, her jeans had a hole from how hard she’d been scratching at her leg and her body was so tense it she was in pain. 

The first thing Yunho did was wrap his arms around Bora, his blue, hair dripping from the rain, hid his face but not enough for y/n not to notice the blood and scratches on it. She looked away.

“Thank you for bringing him back,” she spoke through the knot on her throat to Other Yunho while the older one walked to Mingi, already explaining the plan they had to return everyone home. 

“There’s still lots to do,” Yunho replied, his hands resting awkwardly behind his back, as if to resist touching y/n again. “But things will be okay.”

“I sure hope so,” y/n sighed, unable to stop herself from looking over at Yunho and Bora.

They split into different tasks after Yunho recounted the night, breaking into tears a couple times and Bora held his hand all through it. They had to take care of this situation as fast as possible, before more people got hurt. 

y/n sat next to Older Yunho as he mixed chemicals and she replicated the steps a few moments later. She tried her best not to oggle at him, which proved impossible, but at least she paid enough attention to the steps to succesfully make her own batch of the antidote for the bad guys. 

“I know you,” Older Yunho said, taking off the safety glasses before smiling at her. y/n’s eyes set on his with slight surprise. “There’s a you where I come from, too. You two are very alike, which I guess shouldn’t come as a surprise.” he laughed. 

y/n smiled at him, taking off her safety equipment too. “Are we still friends?”

Yunho’s smiled dropped a little. “No,” he placed the glasses on the table, still looking for the explanation as to why. “But you’re happy, you’re the Main Resercher at Oscorp. You always talked about how that’s what you wanted, or I guess y/n did... this is slightly confusing.”

“Why are we not friends?” y/n ignored the part where she was succesful and accomplished, because that’s not what mattered to her. “Did you two fight?” 

“I wasn’t very good at keeping relationships, y/n. And sometimes people just— grow into different paths.”

She nodded. “I’m sorry you’re not friends anymore.” You because she couldn’t picture herself not being friends with Yunho. 

“Me too.” Yunho gave her a sad smile, making himself busy again.

Despite the evident tension between them and her unending anxiety, y/n approached Other Yunho as he too attended to the task he’d been assigned. 

“Need any help?” she questioned, watching him stretch the web fluid between two fingers. 

Yunho had to gather some inner courage to look at y/n. He never thought he’d see her again, or someone like her for that matter. And it hurt like hell.

“I’m sorry about earlier,” he said, ignoring her proposal. “I– I was just surprised and– well, it was very inappropriate.”

“What is she like?” y/n grabbed the stool next to him and sat down. She was there too, in the life of this Yunho. She knew that letting that fact give her some sort of hope was dumb, but it was always her. Not Mingi and not Bora. She was always by Yunho’s side, in every universe.

Yunho sighed, staring at y/n for a moment so long that she felt her skin prickle. 

“She was everything. It was like she put the moon in the sky and made the sun shine.”

Was.

She was.

y/n didn’t want to know any more, but she still listened with a clenched jaw and a tight throat. 

“I couldn’t save her,” Yunho continued, he looked away and when his gaze returned to y/n, traces of tears gleamed on his cheeks. “I’m sorry.”

“She loved you,” y/n said, swallowing her own tears. “I know she did.” 

Her other self was a stranger, but this was something she knew for sure. y/n put a shaky hand on his arm, cringing at her bitten down nails before Yunho placed his own hand above it. 

She was there, in every single universe. She loved Yunho in every single universe, but that didn’t mean there was a universe out there in which they weren’t star-crossed.
