Hearth Witch Tips 🌌
Hey witches! As some of you may know, I am a hearth witch. Here is a small list of some witchy things I incorporate into my home. My home and my family is my pride and joy, and it brings me great joy to have little rituals in place for a comfortable, cozy and tranquil living space, and fulfills my nurturing spirit. Enjoy! 💖🌙
🔮 Hanging rosemary at your front door for protection.
🔮 Lavender sachets for under pillows to promote relaxation and calm.
🔮 Spraying bed linen with a blend of water, witch hazel and lavender essential oil.
🔮 Candles in the hearth area of the home can be a replacement for the traditional hearth fire. I have a fireplace, however often burn a candle instead in the warmer months where a fire would be too hot.
🔮 Growing herbs on windowsills is a beautiful touch, and especially useful for witches without access to a garden space. Grow herbs based on your desired intent for the home, and the bonus is they can also be used for cooking.
🔮 Opening windows can let in fresh air and drive out stagnant energy.
🔮 White vinegar infused citrus peels can make a great cleaning spray. Citrus is associated with sun energy, so it can help bring vitality and uplifting spirit to your home.
🔮 Spraying curtains with a blend of basil essential oil and water can bring peace, wealth and settle conflict in the home.
🔮 Enchanting blankets to provide comfort, reassurance and solace.
🔮 Sweeping and vacuuming can be looked upon as getting rid of unwanted energy.
🔮 Mirrors are thought to amplify the power of everything they reflect. Placing beautiful items such as flowers, crystals, shells and candles, along with keeping them out of sight of clutter can invite beautiful energy into the home.
🔮 Essential oil diffusers are an amazing tool. Use them to infuse whatever essential oils you want in your home, as different oils have different magickal correspondences. I also place my diffuser at the bottom of my wardrobe, to infuse my clothing with different scents and for magickal intent.
🔮Fresh flowers in the home are a great way to liven up a room and have magickal correspondences. Blue flowers are associated with drawing peace and tranquility into the home, so I often have blue hydrangeas in my flower vases.
🔮 To keep away unwanted guests, smear patchouli oil on door handles. Make sure all family members are in the home when doing this.
🔮 Place salt on the windowsills for protection. If a room in your home feels full of negative energy, placing salt in the four corners of the room and letting it sit there for 48 hours will absorb this energy.
🔮 When cooking for my family, I visualize it being infused with love. I imagine the love pouring from my heart into my meals - this simple practise is nurturing and calming.

Home Protection Steam Spell
There was some crime activity in my neighborhood, so I performed this to make me feel safe and protected. ❤️ (As a witchling, I am still new to spell writing, and am open to tips!)
 Ingredients
⚔️ Cinnamon: I use three sticks and a tablespoon of ground cinnamon for extra scent.  ⚔️ Rosemary: Three sprigs or two tablespoons of dried rosemary (pictured). ⚔️ Pine: Three sprigs from my backyard tree.  ⚔️ Sigil: I drew @wolf-scent’s home protection sigil on a bay leaf and used the steam to activate. I dry and keep the leaf on my altar after. 🌿
 Method
✨ Put water in a pot or pan and on the stove and turn heat on high.
✨Add ingredients one at a time, focusing on intent with each one.
✨Let mixture come to a boil and begin to steam. I add my leaf at this time.
✨Visualize the steam spreading throughout the house, bringing protection. Can be a bubble or anything else - personally, I visualized the army of the dead from the Lord of the Rings rushing out to stand guard. ;)
✨LOWER the heat (don’t want to waste energy) to simmer, and you can allow the scent to fill your house for however long you wish. Add water as needed to not let the ingredients touch bottom of pot.

messy witch aesthetic
-sigils scribbled on wrists, on used napkins, on the backs of receipts -hastily mumbling glamours while you get ready because you’re late again -always forgetting to keep track of the moon’s cycle -constantly performing finding-things spells because the floor of your room is an abomination and where on earth did that chunk of amethyst go?? -knowing that if you don’t write a spell down/tag it properly/put it in a place where you’ll find it then it’ll be lost forever -standing in the shower for forty minutes and only remembering the glamours/spells you wanted to work on after you get out -picking up every coin you see and dropping them in an old jar as a money spell -how am i already out of cinnamon i literally just bought some -enchanting your phone alarm so that maybe you’ll actually get out of bed on the first try for once -always having salt on the floor -i have thirty variations of the same spell tag on tumblr but the spell i’m looking for isn’t under any of them oh my god -never being able to decide which method for drawing sigils you like best, so all of them are a complete mish-mash -half-melted candles everywhere -starting a new notebook every two weeks and never finishing one -wanting to have a consistent practice and aesthetic but never managing to find the time so you guess you’ll just stick to reading your tarot cards on the floor in front of the TV while eating chicken nuggets

Hey! You!
When was the last time you cleansed your home?
When was the last time you checked your wards?
When was the last time you made sure your space was clear of bad energy, bad spirits, and other nasty things?
When was the last time you did that saltwater-incense-bell ringing thing you do?
When was the last time you did a banishing ritual?
If you feel your space is funky, here’s your reminder. Here’s your great cosmic sign. Fix that shit.

Winter Solstice Tarot Spread
Happy Solstice everyone! I thought I’d put together a little spread for the day. It can be done with three cards, one card for each section; or if you’d prefer a more in depth spread, you can use multiple cards for each section.
One - Darkness: This card represents what you can learn from the past year. On this longest night, there is plenty of time to look back on the year that has just been.
Two - Stasis: This card represents what you can reflect upon in this moment. Solstice is a time of transformation, and as you wait in this liminal time between the two halves of the year, what does this teach you?
Three - Light: This card represents what the new year may bring to you. As you look forward to the lighter days that come, what energies can you bring in for in the new year?

Quick and Subtle Grounding.
Feel the through bottoms of your feet. Really focus on what they touch. Every fiber you can discern in the carpet. Have you ever focused on the texture of the inside of your shoes? If you’re outside, feel the subtle bumps in the concrete as you walk, or feel the grass bending underneath you. You can feel a lot even through your shoes if you direct your focus that way.

Releasing Spell
Tumblr media
Hi there! I decided to post this because it’s been extremely helpful for me, and I’m sure it will be for everyone else too!! It’s a super easy spell I love to do.
This spell can get rid of your doubts or can get rid of a negative situation.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Piece of paper. Lined or printer is fine.
Black pen or marker.
The elements, be safe with them.
STEPS:
First, write down every single doubt you have on that piece of paper, or instead, write down the situation you want to get out of.
If you’re using fire,
BURN THAT BITCH.
If you’re using water,
DROWN THAT BITCH.
If you’re using the earth,
BURY THAT BITCH.
If you’re using air,
FLY THAT BITCH.
That’s it.
For fire, burn it and rid of the ashes. For water, soak it until the words are unreadable then flush it down the toilet. Earth, bury it. Air, rip it up on a windy day and throw it into the wind.
Using the elements will allow the negativity to detach from you.
Do this as many times as you need to, and let me know how it works for you, I love feedback!
~ Eris

To Summon Someone
Into an apple stick twelve pins. With each pin mutter over the apple:
“It’s not this apple alone I stick, But –’s heart/mind that I prick, Whether s/he be asleep or awake, I’d have him/her come to me an speak.”
Then throw the apple into a fire and wait.
This is a spell I learned a long time ago. It’s actually a mixture of two spells, as the apple spell did not give any words, so I added them in. Alternatively, you could just prick the apple, scream the name of the person, and throw it into the fire, but I feel that this is more eloquent.
This is a form of image magic, as though driving the idea of visiting your home into the heart or mind (you can use the former for a “lover”) of the person you wish to summon. The burning in the fire, of course, is to send your request out into the world upon the smoke.

Just a reminder that fleeing into the woods to become a bog witch and local cryptid in hopes of escaping life responsibilities is 100% valid.
