Xig/Lux's whole persona is so fascinating to me like. To me it comes off as him emulating his old master, and thats so full of potential character payoff/pathos/whatever on its own already, just fun to consider thoughts about. Puts him in the microwave to watch him spin around in there

for sure!!! people have all these headcanons/theories about him being like, literally a past version of the MoM, or his son, or the MoM raised him from a child, etc, and i must admit i'm bored by that. in my head, Luxu is emulating the MoM in a much more basic mundane way. he's Been Through A Lot Of Shit and his strongest internal example of authority, confidence, intelligence, power, is the MoM. he finds himself talking like him, gesturing like him, not even on purpose most of the time.

there's so much in his relationship with the MoM that i find fascinating. Luxu's relationship with the MoM is unique, and i imagine he believes he was uniquely close to him, as well. Luxu is the one who's most comfortable actually questioning the MoM to his face...yet he's given one of the two most important roles, next to Ava, who is the foreteller least likely to question the MoM at all. no difference between the dog with a twenty foot leash and the dog with a two foot leash if they both stay at the master's heel. makes my mind swirl and spin

fuck i have so many thoughts about the master of masters, too. fucking stellar character. don't get me wrong—terrible, terrible person! but truly one of my favorite characters in the franchise. less in a blorbo skrunkly way and more in a "i find this character fascinating and well written" way. but admittedly in a little bit of a blorbo skrunkly way.
