CALLSIGN: LYCAN, a Special K9 Operator.

Lycan, whose real name is currently unknown, is the experiment of a Special Training Program in which werewolves are used instead of dogs. It has been discovered that werewolves are in fact more efficient than normal dogs, facilitating communication with others, especially with their handler and colleagues. In human form they can also use weapons, like normal soldiers. Despite their efficiency as operators, however, werewolves remain ferocious and unpredictable beasts. They are not "man's best friend", as a simple dog would be.

Taken as a small, or so to speak, puppy, Lycan was immediately trained together with a few other select werewolves, and subsequently selected during the course thanks to her readiness to work and the evident and natural abilities that made her perfect for that role.

Lycan can easily cover various tasks: Patrol dog, as her extreme strength and speed allow her to easily immobilize subjects; IED dog, or the search for explosives and weapons, but also narcotics, traces of blood or human remains, thanks to a better sense of smell than a normal dog.

She was engaged in activities against drug-dealing terrorists, including Valeria Garza's Las Almas Cartel. It was during this Mission in Mexico, aimed at foiling the Cartel, that Lycan fully demonstrated the efficiency of the training she had received during the course.

Nonetheless, over the years, Lycan gained a bad reputation in the barracks, due to a specific event: She, presumably in the grip of instincts, bit her previous handler, causing him a terrible wound to the arm that forced him to a long period of treatment and rest. Yet, the doubt that Lycan had had a more than legitimate motivation to act in this way, meant that she was not discharged and refused from service.

Currently Lycan has a temporary handler, waiting for a permanent one. She can almost be defined as her own conductor, taking on animal features only when on duty, even though this is the appearance she prefers most, and speaking to her colleagues as if she were a normal human.
