how do you feel about the new Lilo and stich live action that’s in production?

I liked the casting of Lilo but Nani …

I also think it’s just gonna look like the live action lion king part 2.

To be honest I haven't kept up with the live action updates for my (lmao) movie. The animation just has a special place in my heart, and I didn't feel any desire to see it turned into a live action...

Alas, that decision is somehow not up to this blue alien, so here are my ~thoughts~ on the Lilo and Me Live Action :D

I totally agree that the casting of Lilo is great, and Nani definitely could've been better. But, it looks like she was born and raised in Hawaii, so that's v good. David's actor seems like a good choice (Kaipo Dudoit?), but tbh I haven't read the backgrounds of anyone on this film.

Surprised they didn't ask me to play myself in the movie, but it's whatever. Hopefully they don't turn me into a scary blue monster on screen. Because I'm supposed to be cute. Very cute.

And fluffy.

Overall, though, I wish they didn't have to make a live action. The animated movie was adorably cute, and it doesn't need to be recreated.

That being said, if it gets good reviews and I find my curiosity piqued, will I go see it?

i see a lot of people headcannon Toph as the little sister Zuko always wanted (which I still love) but just imagine a Toph and Azula sibling relationship

The whole

azula: “And since you can't see, I should tell you I'm rolling my eyes.”

toph: “I’ll roll your whole head”

gives off major It’s-your-turn-to-do-the-dishes argument energy

Okay but yes???

Had Toph and Azula had more time on screen together, they have the potential to be the type of siblings that fight all the time and sass each other and everything.

I feel like in a scenario where Zuko is like "Hey Toph, you're my little sister now."

"But don't you have a little sister?"

"Yep. Now I have two little sisters."

That would be a rather comical scene between Azula and Toph.

Toph always has something smart to say, and so does Azula, and when either of them are at a loss for words, they probably just fight each other LOL.

They're both headstrong and if Toph tells Azula to do something, Azula always has something to say to counter Toph. Very much a "it's-your-turn-to-do-the-dishes" bickering moment haha!

I feel like they respect each other, but would never actually admit it to each other's faces, and when it comes to their bending, I think them being "siblings" would challenge them to be a better earthbender or firebender just to one-up each other.

Zuko is just watching them argue all the time and try to fight each other, and I'm sure there were times where he's like "That's it, you two can't be in the same room" and they're like "Why? We're just having fun."

I will say that Toph and Katara have great friendship/sister vibes to me, but an additional sibling relationship between Toph and Azula has amazing potential. They seem to have sibling vibes that are more like "I don't care for you but you're fun to pick on. But if you need my help I gotchu" whereas Toph and Katara's sibling relationship is more "I know you mean well and we're actually similar, but I just need to bother you for my own entertainment. If anyone else hurts you, though, I will attack."

But for real a situation where Toph is both Zuko and Azula's sibling? Imagine the hilarity and the chaos haha I love it!

But you're so right! Unless Toph had some particular attachment to her hair, I think she went for the short hair look a couple of times! Alice Cullen's hair is like... spot on. Messy and fun and right up Toph's alley, I think!

Honestly yes Sokka would definitely do this. No question about it.

He would much rather pretend to be terrible at everything so people will laugh because if people know he's passionate and talented, that leaves him vulnerable to criticism and being judged against others and he's already being compared to all the talented benders that he spends everyday with and it's a lot and it hurts sometimes even though he knows he's an essential member of the Gaang but there's still a bit of that nonbender stigma and you know sometimes it's just easier to be the butt of the joke than to put oneself out there because everything he does is being judged and...

and yeah idk.

Do you think Toph believes in astrology?

Hello! Thanks for the ask, and an interesting question, too! :)

My initial reaction would be to think she doesn’t. Like, good for those that do believe it, but no stars or alignments of the planets are going to dictate her life, she’ll make her own way thank you very much.

But if her friends start talking about it and become interested in astrology, I feel like she’d listen to what they have to say and perhaps feel a bit of a connection to her signs and stuff. I don’t think she’d put in a ton of effort into figuring out her signs or understanding all the details, but whatever her friends share with her she’d listen and talk about it!

Toph probably has a similar mindset to Sokka when it comes to fate and destiny and finding explanations from outside sources, she doesn’t really believe in it. She’d much rather have control of her life and the decisions she makes, that way she can really only look to herself if conflicts and issues arise.
