How I feel about this character: Honestly, in my view he’s less of a character and more of a... circumstance? Force? There was some post that I cannot find now, in which it was argued that the novel Dracula is not called after the main character but after what the characters have to deal with, like Jaws (it must’ve been worded better, but such was the gist). He’s interesting in a sense that he represents a multitude of things, from xenophobic scare to homophobic stereotypes (specifically, how the society viewed Oscar Wilde at the time of his trial and what Bram Stoker was afraid to be associated with and possibly feared in himself) to the fear of contagious illnesses to, yes, unrestricted sexuality (but not only!) to god knows what else, so I find him fascinating as a concept, but don’t particularly care about him as a character. 

All the people I ship romantically with this character: nahhh no one. I can see the appeal of Dracula/Van Helsing but only in the context of crack fic, not seriously yet.  

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I like to think that he and his brides have this relationship in which whatever passion that had ever been there is long gone and they’re sorta tired of him but also where else would they go, so they’re, like, roommates who lowkey find each other annoying and get passive aggressive about petty shit 

My unpopular opinion about this character: the idea of Dracula/Mina is sooo far-fetched because there’s no attraction between them in the book, it’s just him wanting to: 1) get her out of his way because she’s ruining his plans; 2) get her on his side (“You have aided in thwarting me; now you shall come to my call”); 3) hurt the men of the Crew of Light and also get closer to them (“Your girls that you all love are mine already; and through them you and others shall yet be mine”). If it is absolutely necessary for an adaptation to make Dracula involved romantically/sexually with anyone, then the most logical candidate is Jonathan, what with “This man belongs to me!” followed by “Yes, I too can love” and with Jonathan essentially being Bluebeard’s wife for the first part of his chapters.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I just want a movie in which he doesn’t fuck Mina or Lucy and gets to wear a stupid straw hat, is this too much to ask

A random thought: i really fuck heavy with janeway actually being bipolar. “year of hell” is my favourite two-parter ever and i think it’s the strongest showcase to support this headcanon, but i also can’t blame her at all because the conditions at the end are appalling.

An unpopular opinion: voyager is a really solid show and most of all it has almost the same vibes as tng, so to say it was underloved by fandom sucks. in my onion, all non-modern trek is a masterpiece. i’m far more invested in voyager than ds9... going against the grain hard here... but i’m not a fan of the 90s uniforms and how grey the palette ended up being. tng + rainbow colours look forever

Non-canon OTP: it actually breaks my heart to say that janeway/chakotay isn’t canon but at least they’re canon in the novels. winning once again. watching voyager as an adult it is absolutely nuts that there was such a framework of romantic tension and all these subtextual moments and whole ass episodes (resolutions, shattered, the fight, scorpion) devoted to their dynamic and yet...

Most badass character: janeway baby !!

Pairing I am not a fan of: seven/chakotay like most normal people

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): a lot of characters got shafted to put seven of nine in the forefront. i love seven of nine but i can totally understand why there was tension on set for this reason. later seasons became the seven show for sure. it pisses me off that everything star trek is about the abolishment of sexism, racism, homophobia etc yet behind the scenes it is all of course very alive--and seven was introduced purely to be eye-candy for the male audience. EUUUGH.

Favourite friendship: seven & tuvok is really cute and underappreciated! tom and harry are the absolute bromance of the delta quadrant.

Least Favorite character: i hate robert baratheon (though the memes about bobby are funny af on reddit). i strongly dislike gregor clegane for obvious reasons, and ramsay bolton. ramsay is a very one-dimensional villain.

A random thought: essos > westeros which is exactly why i have 500 hours in the crusader kings ii mod for asoiaf--colonising the entire world as a refugee dragonlord is fun as hell and comes with weird events. i mean, you can play in mantarys, the infamously monstrous allegory of nuclear radiation and its fallout.

An unpopular opinion: i’m really tired of every mention of got being followed up with “season 8 was so shit”. aight i fucking get it. i’m not going to discount 8 years of hard work by the cast and crew, and how much energy i’ve invested into asoiaf. also jaime lannister was never meant to have a redemption arc. he was never going to be able to disengage himself from cersei i and i feel incredibly vindicated about this. ALSO my most unpopular opinion probably is that i love joffrey baratheon. what can i say i love trash

Non-canon OTP: it hurts my heart again to say jorah/daenerys. emilia clarke’s chemistry with iain glen is balls to the wall thick as hell--and then there’s emilia with kit. it’s like drywall. you’re muh queen.

Pairing I am not a fan of: i hate jaime/brienne. i don’t like jonerys (always wished they had been platonic instead of romantic) and i don’t like jonsa. i don’t like arthur x lyanna and it makes me lol that it is pushed as a “better” ship for lyanna when the age difference is exactly the same as what she had with rhaegar. 

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): well, obviously, arianne martell wasn’t even given the decency of being mentioned in the show never mind a pivotal character, but we ain’t talking about that huh... + of course melisandre who was reduced to Nakey Ladey... i mean there’s multitudes but these are what i’m most offended by.

Favourite friendship: sam & jon are so wholesome ;___; sansa & tyrion... sansa & brienne...

Today I said I hate myself and I’m going to draw all 10 “as a warm up” but really it was just to be extra, but actually I was a fool and I do not recommend.
