yes we get it. hannibal is gay and evil
#listen i love evil gays as much as anyone else here#but it seems to me that after a while... subtext becomes a will they won't they dynamic#and there's a very fine line between that and queerbaiting#i would like to remind well mainly myself bc i'm ranting in my own tags#that you know. queerbaiting IS a thing#and that gay aspects of the dynamic of certain characters are played with without the actual intention of giving into them#which is... not great#ALSO there's a whole middle ground between modern family's gay couple and playing off the stereotype of the unhinged homo & partner#you can depict a multifaceted intense and deep gay relationship#without one of them or both being a psycho#and my god. without the queerbaiting#ALSO ALSO#i've seen people dunk on that clea duvall christmas movie#i'm sorry y'all are unfunny cinema connoisseurs but i think lesbians deserve a corny and happy movie#there's a whole middle ground of HUMANITY to explore between say. romcoms and horror#oh yeah anyway these considerations also go for killing eve#and i like that show! but i am tired of how same sex relationships are portrayed in media#even in this particular age of proliferation of representation#this reminds me i should check the half of it out#callidaiunctura OUT#*micdrops and dies*#inward voyage
