calla’s tips for prime growth and motivation!
a/n: taking care of yourself is actually so hard, but here are some tips that i’ve picked up. sharing these in hopes this helps another lost lily 🫶
modifying things to make them more appealing!
you might’ve heard this one before, but it’s actually been so helpful! i find it hard to make myself walk or go out every day because i like playing games, so i downloaded pikmin bloom recently and it makes walking interesting for me. and the silly pikmin encourage me to walk to different stores/places so i can collect them : - ))
buying stuff that’ll make things easier for you!!
like i said i HATE going outside because i like to play, so i purchased a walking treadmill and a standing desk so i can just walk while i mindlessly play. it’s actually fun and also reminds me to take a break (when my feet hurt).
i also find it hard to drink enough water but i got a nice insulated bottle with a straw so it keeps my water nice and cool, n also straws are funn haha
making checklists!
sorry i have really bad daddy issues + poor organization and need to have some sort of validation linked to anything i do, and i recently found out that making checklists is actually so fulfilling! it’s like everything i need to do, on one page/app etc., and when i’m done with the task, i can check it off! it’s rewarding.. physically seeing the task and being able to physically remove it as well. bonus points if you find a website that drops little confetti when you finish something ^.^
starting the task!
sometimes i feel overwhelmed by things like making meals or cleaning my room, but then i start it and catch a groove. just a little at a time! need to cook? open the recipe, just look at the ingredients and take them out.. usually that gets me going. or folding my clothes. i start by organizing them into piles by the drawer they go in. there’s no need to rush, or try to plow through it. go by your own pace <3
adding just a little protein to meals!
eating instant ramen? add an egg!! i crack mine in the water when it’s boiling and take it out just before the yolk cooks through so it makes for a nice creamy soup base. cold cuts are also a cool and quick way to get protein in!
last, but certainly not the least— breaks : - ))
allow yourself breaks, dear. it is completely fine to take time for yourself when you’re feeling overwhelmed. whether that‘s skincare, playing a game you like, taking a nice bath, sleeping, snacking! reward yourself, you’re doing great.
and just a reminder: you’re not any less weak for taking these alternatives instead of grinding it out like a poser,, sometimes things need modification and that’s okay. do whatever works best for you and you got this, little lily !
