Summary: The team finds out you're a Regressor. Heck. You find out you're a Regressor. You had never known there was a name for it...

The military was an interesting place, with this came different coping mechanisms be it working out till you drop or something else it was easy to dismiss what you'd see as long as the individual was coping.

As the Captain of the taskforce Price was acutely aware of how his team coped. (Mainly so he could help if needed and in some other cases so he knew that his family team were actually coping and not just ignoring their issues. Simon trained. He trained until he couldn't anymore which was when Soap would step in and comfort him. A lot of Soaps coping came from being able to comfort Simon, he thrived at being able to help his friends. And Gaz, well Gaz regressed and Price looked after him as his Caregiver.

That was probably why after a particularly hard mission on the helicopter ride back Price instantly noticed something was wrong. You had been awufully reserved, normally you'd be chatting with the team but that wasn't the case today. Originally everyone brushed it off as you just being tired, it wasn't unbelievable. The mission had been difficult, exhausting.

After a while of your had clumsily lolling to the side, bumping the wall of the hellicopter Price decides to speak up.

"Are you feeling okay Soldier..?"

"Fine Cap'tin..." You mumbled.

That had got everyone's attention. Even when tired you never slurred your words like that. It's then that it hits Price. You were regressing. Well actually more like you were regressed. He was used to this in his team, it was a coping mechanism that he had learnt briefly about before joining the military however upon Gaz struggling Price had learnt more so he would be able to help.

Price's tone turned fatherly (as though he didn't permanently sound like a dad)

"Are you feeling small..?"

You normally always shut down when you felt like this, it was easier to just sleep it off. Although you were well aware that it didn't really work.. You shrug wordlessly.

The others had been watching this interaction take place. Soap moved from where he had been sitting with Ghost, kneeling down infront of you. There was a gentle smile plastered on his face.

"Well what do we 'ave here? Jus' a wee little one?"

"Think that might be the case Johnny" Ghost replies, his voice somewhat softer than usual, although if you had been an outsider watching you'd never have noticed the slight change in tone.

Price got up and headed to the front of the helicopter, quickly conversing with Nikolai. When he came back he addressed everyone letting them know that it wouldn't be too much longer before you'd all be back at base.

It was now Gaz's turn to speak.

"Has this happened to you before kiddo?"

You nod but don't speak.

"Okayyy, do you have any items back at base?"

You give a confused head tilt, confused on what he meant by items"

"..things like plushies, paci's, colouring books.. things like that?"

This time you gently shake your head. Ghost sighs, he understands that...

Price then speaks up again.

"Well then we'll just have to change that, now won't we Sweetheart?"

Naps are common in the 141. Ghost often regresses into babyspace, so hes either napping or watching everyone. Soap is such a hyper little guy that he will crash and nap as soon as he can get comfy. Even Gaz, who prides himself on being the responsible older brother, will find himself dozing off while watching something.

I feel like Price would find them all snuggled up together in one of their rooms, a movie quietly playing in the background. Simon is laid on Kyles chest, the ladder being the sleeping one. Johnny is asleep on the floor with a blanket tossed over him. Little Si would be wide awake and staring at Price as he entered the scene. He was done with his nap, preferring to just lay on Kyle in silence.

Little!Graves crumbling under any hint of affection. It's been so long since he had it, beyond a good job from the men above him.

Every time he feels small, he's terrified. He hides away in his office until he can compose himself, because he knows someone, anyone, could be watching him sob. He's already 'frail' for the position he's in already. Packing lean muscle, rather than being overly buff.

So when a hand comes to gently cradle his face, he doesn't know whether to react with joy or fear. Somehow, he'll always end up melting into it. The touch is so gentle it almost hurts.

Now he has it, he doesn't want it to go away.

•He's super overprotective of you, and has a huge soft spot for you.

•When he found out about your regression, he was unsure and confused about it. He didn't really know what it was, but quickly learned and understood it well.

•Upon finding out about your regression, he became extremely overprotective! He's so worried about you, and has no idea when you'll regress. He's always prepared in case you do regress.

Have you ever seen a toddler run around for hours and never tire out until they crash and need to be carried to bed? That's Soap

Ghost found out by mistake when he walked in on Johnny coloring and watching Pokémon with his shirt chewed up in his mouth. After a long talk, Ghost got him a paci with "my boo" on it

Soap is definitely a toddler regressor. He's super adventurous and loves to play outside when he can. If he can't go outside, he's watching Gaz play video games and coloring to rock music

Ghost carries Soap to bed almost every night because Soap will fall asleep doing anything. Coloring? Out cold. Organizing his plushies? Face down in an elephant plushie. Rough housing with Gaz? He falls asleep if he's on his back too long

Nicknames for Ghost: Ghostie, booboo, Baba, Si Guy (like shy guy)

Nicknames for Soap: bubble guppy, pumpkin, baby boo, little spirit

Ghost carries a backpack with all of Soap's agere stuff. Always has a juice box and a chew toy on hand. He's big into spoiling his baby.

Ghost was scared to take off his mask around Soap when he was regressed. That was until he did so and Soap went "Baba you're so pretty!' And covered him in stickers.

Ghost gives Soap bubble baths to help him calm down after missions. He just likes making sure Soap is clean and happy and able to relax.

Simon was still getting used to accepting his regression. Now the team were incredible when it came to showing support, even if that was just in the form of also regressing and being protective over Simon as they regressed older, showing him that it was okay to do so. However he just wasn't comfortable.. it didn't matter happen times he was told that "it's okay" he couldn't, wouldn't believe it.

It had been a particularly rough mission. Both Gaz and Soap were surprisingly not regressed however both men had decided that after the drawling mission that they definitely wanted a shower and to go to bed. Ghost wasn't exactly in that situation though. God how much did he want to though. He was sat in his room, gear still on. He rocked back and forward on his bed, dirt and grime crumbling onto the once clean sheets.

Price always checked on the boys after missions. And so after checking on both Kyle and Johnny he knocked gently at Simon's door.

"Ghost? You alright in there?"

A quiet and muffled sob could be heard from behind the door. That was all Price needed to step into his room, quickly closing the door, Simon wouldn't want anyone to see him in this state. Price slowly crouched in front of the crying boy.

"Simon.. buddy.." He paused with a small sigh before speaking again. "Can we get you out this vest..? You don't want all this icky uniform on right now do you?"

Simon nods slowly, lifting his arms in a way to signal that he wanted help. Price chuckled a little before helping him. By the time Simon was dressed into a hoodie (of Soaps) and some joggers he had calmed down a little.

"Do you wanna watch a movie in the living room bud?" Price could deal with the dirty sheets at a different time, right now his priority was keeping Simon calm. The taskforce had a designated living room area so Price was confident that noone other than taskforce members would be able to access the room.

Simon nods and after a bit of coaxing and the two ended up on the sofa.

Simon ended up choosing to watch The Good Dinosaur. As the colourful movie played on the screen Price reached into his pocket and pulled out a plain black pacifier offering it to the small boy. Simon whined, his eyes said he wanted nothing more than to use the Paci but he also couldn't bring himself to use it, he couldn't bring himself to be that vulnerable. Even despite trusting Price with his life.

"Hey Si.. I have an idea.." and so Price proposes the idea of using the pacifier but behind his mask, almost as though using it as a safety blanket. After a moment of thinking about it Simon nodded and slowly took the pacifier from Price's hands, placing it in his mouth and adjusting his mask to make sure it was fully hidden. He ended up nodding off about half way into the film, Pacifier resting in his mouth discreetly.

It was a small step forward in getting Simon to accepting his regression for what it was, a healthy coping mechanism that helped him greatly...

Car Ride

Hear me out: Price is mama coded. I will repeat this till the day I die. Thank you anons for the gift of mama Price. Discord saw this first 🫡🫡

Simon's head slowly started to tilt against the window the longer they drove around. Already dark out, he couldn't help but get so sleepy... The rough road didn't stop him from snoozing. He'd slept in worse conditions. Floors, bleeding out, in the ice cold, summer heat... A little drive couldn't stop him from a good rest (that he, no doubt, needed).

It helped that he had Lambie delicately placed under his chin, soft fabric on his skin, and a paci between his lips. It was comfortable... Mama sitting upfront, with baba driving.

Every so often, mama would turn around to glance at Simon in the back seat. If he was awake, he'd hear the shutter of his camera when mama took a picture of him curled up in the car.

Quietly whispering between themselves:

"Nik, look- he's sleepin'." Mama said quietly, showing Nik a picture when he could briefly look from the road.

"Good thing he didn't have his nap today, hm?" Nik joked, followed by a small hum and coo at the image of Simon looking so, so cute.

The tiniest little coos and babbles barely audible from Simon, turning just a little to get more comfy. They were lucky he had a paci clip, or he would've lost the paci the second he shifted. He bit down on his lip instead.

Very quietly, John motioned for Nik to pull over so that he could give Simon back his paci. It's not like they were far from a place to park, but he simply didn't want to wait and let Simon chew his lip.

As the car came to a stop, the most pitiful little whine filled the car. So, so soft and sleepy. Simon's nose scrunching as he yawned and blearily looked around.

"Uh-..?" Simon grunted, clumsily rubbing his eyes.

"You're okay, lovebug." John softly muttered, getting out of the car to go to Simon and get him comfy cozy again. He was trying not to chuckle at how confused he looked when waking up—he couldn't have asked for someone more cute.

"M'ma..." Simon mumbled as his door opened and John leaned down to him. A gentle hand brushing back his hair, delicately placing a kiss on his forehead.

"Just mama, Si." He cooed to him, popping the paci back in his mouth. "You're so sleepy, hm?"

Simon nodded slightly, blinking slowly up at him.

"We're almost home, baby.. can mama sit with you?" John asked, knowing he could get some Simon cuddles and keep his tiny warm on the drive back.

He took a tiny and sleepy 'mama' as a yes.
