I've been stunlocked since the drop, i stayed up all night for the dash premier. Caligo album was a hit!! i want to draw so much!! i can't get over the art direction for everything aaaaaa.

Full disclosure, I wasn't going to review this song because it feels a little like reviewing a song by a fictional group. But, they got a win on a music show, so according to my pattern I established, I had to review it. Which is fine! It just introduces me to more groups and songs.

"Stringed instruments will forever be my Achilles heel, so opening up a song with strings? That's a yes. It definitely gives the opening of the song a different feel to the rest of it, a little more ballad than the rock that we get later on. The latter parts of the song are also very much not ballad rock either. There's a certain sensual roll we get from stripping out most of the other instruments to just have the percussion and audience participation snapping, and then the slam of energy.

So many tiny details and fun moves and formations, omg. The Bamby breakdown at the end, Hamin's obligatory taekwondo skills on display. Ok, but I know y'all are tired doing all that jumping and athleticism in those mocap suits (maybe not you Noah, your gym rat ass 😭)

You know I'm just watching with all the love and joy in my heart bubbling out, my boys 🩷 This has been such a good comeback and I'm just all giddy about it.

Let's check out PLAVE's third mini album "Caligo Pt.1". "Chroma Drift" is a lovely slinky 80s night drive vibe. "Dash" is the rather epic intense but lovely title track. "Rizz" is quite upbeat and fun. And then ending with two gorgeous ballads "Island" and "12:32 (A to T)". Overall very enjoyable. A nice mix of genres with upbeat and slower tracks, each giving a different feel 😉🥰😍😁💝💗💖💘💞💙💜🩷❤️🖤

PLAVE COMEBACK !!!!!! don’t get me started ….. the vibe is super fucking cool they went above and beyond with the music videos and aesthetics they’ve worked so hard and im so proud of them 🥹🥹 the lore is fascinating and we’ve learned so much about their past… but the mini album is just …. not everything i wanted it to be i guess LOLL like its good but its just. just good. like not mind blowing. and each song is quite literally a completely different genre so its not at all cohesive which is likely a deliberate choice but i personally prefer a cohesive album. ALSO RELEASE A FULL ALBUM YALL DEBUTED 2 YRS AGO QUIT WITH THE EP’S. anyway yea :3 stream caligo pt. 1 :3
