Good morning. Can I ask some dating headcanons for Calamity Jane from fate?
Warnings: None!
Jane loves to have a good time and is pretty go with the flow. She goes where adventure is and loves a good chase. She doesn’t expect you to follow her all over but appreciates when you do decide to come with. The two of you will go all kinds of adventures; climbing volcanoes, exploring ruins. If you’d prefer to wait to home that’s ok too, she’ll make sure to bring you something fun!
She does get lost a lot and would love it if you had a good sense of direction. It never bothers Jane that she gets lost but it is fun to let you play the hero. It’s cute, watching you take the lead and ‘save her’, even though she’s the muscle in your relationship. And if you have a horrible sense of direction? No worries! There’s no one she’d rather take a trip with than you. Jane has no issue being lost when it’s with you.
Jane isn’t someone who gets jealous easily and she doesn’t expect you too either. She trusts you completely and even if there are people who are interested in you, she knows that you’re not going to go anywhere. She does think it’s cute if you get a little jealous but it’s a double-edged sword. Jane doesn’t always notice when you’re getting jealous and it can lead to arguments if you think she’s doing it on purpose. Make sure to be upfront about your feelings and Jane will be too.
It can be hard to tell what Jane is thinking; her poker face is smiles and laughter after all. It gets easier to read her as time goes on, especially if you’re looking for it. Her smiles become tighter and her laughter not as long. Jane will only want to talk if it’s just the two of you in private and she’s happy you noticed. Even if it takes a while, she likes that you know her well enough to tell. It makes her feel better and talking with you will help even more.

Austin, 2021
It was Daniel’s favourite race and for the whole two weeks before it he kept annoying you with his fake Texan accent and calling you ma’am all the time but his excitement was kind of cute. So, with a few days to spare till the GP circus started, Daniel requested you go with him to his favourite western outfitters to pick this year’s outfit with him. You warned him you wouldn’t be joining in. You had already picked out a nice little paddock outfit and sure you could be convinced to add a little Stetson but if he thought he could get you all dressed up like Doris Day in Calamity Jane, he was mistaken.
You trailed through the rail of almost comically cheesy shirts and joked that perhaps he should make his own and he looked like he genuinely mentally noted that suggestion. It was enough to make you roll your eyes amusingly. His obsession with the whole culture was interesting to say the least, but he was overjoyed and happy while he was immersed in it so that was all that mattered. Daniel pulled out some cream number with rhinestones and you could practically hear his thoughts. He wanted to know if there were matching pants to go with it and you burst out laughing. “Ok, Lone Ranger. Just calm down a bit.” He pouted and side eyed you but kept the shirt in his hand anyway and giggled like a naughty child. You pulled out a much more subdued black number and held it up to him. He observed it and nodded and you went round to his side of the rail and handed the shirt over to him. “I like it.” He stated but a few minutes later you noticed him putting it back on a different rail. He wanted the Rhinestone Cowboy look, evidently.
Race Day
Austin was such a great atmosphere and the crowd seemed to love Daniel in all his cowboy glory. The vibe alone carried your rootin’ tootin’ boyfriend into finishing P5 and so he was in a very, very good mood after the race ended and you guys headed back to the hotel. Still wearing his western, Stetson styled hat and snakeskin boots, you couldn’t wait to celebrate with him in private because, ok, you had to admit it, Daniel pulled off the look he had gone for the other day while shopping. He pulled it off very, very well. And even now, clad all in black with the hat and the boots there was something deep inside you that made your panties dampen at the sight of him.
Chucking his bag away from him on the floor, the noise signalled to you that thankfully you now had him all to yourself. He had done well today – ok it wasn’t a win or a podium but still did well all things considered – and you knew how horny he got when he done well. So when you pulled off your jacket and tossed it on the floor, he was practically on you instantly.
“Howdy Ma’am.” His voice deepened and he pressed against your back. His hands snaked around your waist and with a very quick jolt he pulled your butt back at the same time he bucked his hips forward and you could already feel his instant erection. “Well, Howdy Cowboy.” You finally joined in like he had been so desperate for you to do. Daniel ground his hips against you, clearly desperate for some friction, and you let out a soft moan. Just as Daniel’s hands went to reach for the hem of your little sundress you swiftly and abruptly turned around to face him. He drunk you in like you were a tall drink of water and he had just made it through the desert. Those fucking eyes that always made you melt were full of lust and passion but he wasn’t going to have full control tonight.
A shaky, amused breath left Daniel when your hands trailed down his chest and you made the teasingly slow decent on to your knees. You kept eye contact with him and observed him as he let out a deep moan before his teeth sunk into his lower lip when you went for the large buckle on the belt (one that he had also purchased a few days ago in that western store) that strained to contain his rock hard cock. Your mouth watered as your hands confidently finished your task and you roughly yanked at his jeans to pull them down. Daniel let a confident laugh roar from him.
“So eager…” his words flowed with such pride that you were so desperate to taste him and were so hungry for his cock. And seconds later you got exactly what you wanted. You knew the first bold stripe you licked up the underside of his thick, lengthy cock always gave him Goosebumps but tonight the Goosebumps were joined back a thigh shake and his hand already gripping the back of your head.
“Fuck…baby…” Drool and precum mixed together and dribbled down your chin as you continued sucking on Daniel’s throbbing length, pausing every now and then to pay attention to his sensitive, purple tip with the underside of your tongue. The veins that ran up and down his wide shaft looked fit for bursting but you didn’t want to stop unless he begged you too. Blowing him was truly one of your most favourite things to do. No guy had ever made you feel this wet while you gave him a blowjob but the constant praise and vocal admiration Daniel lavished on you was enough to have you touching yourself to have your own pleasure from the moment. As his hand – with your hair wrapped around it – helped keep you moving at a steady pace you moaned as his cock slipped effortlessly down the back of your throat. You breathed out through your nose and let him stay there for a few moments because you could feel how he was starting to loose it. He was right on the edge of control. Then he let his grip loosen and you eased him back out before you looked up at him with wet eyes and your cheeks hollowed out while you returned to sucking.
“Keep going…fuck…y/n.” He was right on the brink. His orgasm was so close you would win a bet on it. He jolted forward a little and you noticed the way his thighs tensed and then with a large groan, Daniel finally came in your mouth. The salty taste of Daniel’s cum was all you could think about. You had desired it all day and in some weird way you always desired it all the damn time, you rather liked the taste and knowing it was you that got him off made your pussy tingle. Your eyes had remained on him the whole time so you got to watch as his face changed. His brow furrowed, his mouth fell open and he was overcome with pleasure from your mouth.
When you were sure that he was completely finished, totally spent, you pulled back and observed him now lazily smiling down at you.  You knew what he wanted. He wanted to see it, see his cum – the product of all your work – on your tongue. You learned very quickly how much it turned him on and how it was one of his kinks. He tilted his head backward a fraction and it was like a silent signal for you to open up. So you did. Teasingly slowly you let your jaw fall open and carefully you stuck your tongue out. You didn’t want to spill a drop. Once you were satisfied he had his fill of the scene before him, you tilted your own head back, receded your tongue, closed your mouth and swallowed dramatically.
“You’re Daddy’s good girl, aren’t you?” Daniel purred and you felt the aching for him between your legs intensify. You were now desperate for him to return the favour – because no one could EVER give head like Daniel could – so nodded enthusiastically. Without skipping a beat, Daniel grabbed your arms and pulled you to your feet. His large, veiny hand went to your cheek and you stared straight back into his eyes hoping he would pick up on how desperate you were for him. And in a millisecond you remembered the hat that was on top of his head and that silly little saying printed on one of the t-shirts in that store he took you too a few days ago popped into your mind. Somewhat arrogantly (and cock drunk from the blowjob you had just given him) you smirked before saying boldly; “Save a horse, ride a cowboy.” With a wink and Daniel’s loud laughter filled the room. “At your service, Ma’am.” And without skipping a beat, Daniel swooped you up clean off your feet and carried you over to the bed.
Safe to say, after that night in Austin, it would be your favourite race too.

"Bad together"
Prologue: Benjamin Reilly
Tumblr media
Peter Parker x Reader
General audiences
Warnings: none.
"And if I'm dead to you
Why are you at the wake?
Cursing my name, wishing I stayed"
My tears ricochet - Taylor Swift
"... It's a disaster! Look at her! It's like someone took a look at Black Cat, selected everything that made her sexy and then took it out!"
Black Cat. The name froze the young photographer on his tracks right outside his boss' office. He hadn't heard that name in a long time, the last sighting had been well over a year ago. He would know.  After all, it had been him, the very last person to have seen Felicia Hardy, alive or dead.
"What are you talking about? That looks hot af, not to mention badass!" Jade's persuasive voice reached his ears, making him smirk: It was no secret the chief editor had a soft spot for the young intern. And, on her part, the petite brunette was a firecracker. Poor old Jameson didn't stand a chance. "Come on, dad. Single handedly taking down three of the Kingpin's goons? That's impressive. It deserves to be one of the slides!"
"Not if we don't get a higher quality picture. That blurry video is good enough for a thumbnail, but not for a slide" Slides were a big deal, they were the Dailybugle.net's equivalent of a front page, and if J. Jonah Jameson took something seriously, it was his web site. He prided himself in the quality of the "receipts" of his "tea", as if that validated the trashiness of the bullshit articles he posted, more fiction from hyper imaginative wannabe writers than serious work from real reporters.
"Well, then let's get the pictures. Where is that star photographer of yours?"
The photographer rolled his eyes, typical Jade. As if the queen of cool didn't know his name. As if she hadn't graced his bed a handful of times already.
"That's a good question. Dolores, get me Reilly!"
"I'm here, Jonah" Ben finally stepped inside the office, throwing an envelope on Jameson's desk before throwing himself on a chair across it. He could feel Jade's eyes on him, almost like a physical caress, trailing from the long, slick back curls on the top of his head, to the muscles of his arms, threatening to rip open the seams at the sleeves of his white t-shirt, to his jean clad thighs. Still, he didn't turn to look at her, refusing to give her the satisfaction.
"What do you have for me today, boy?"
Ben gesticulated vaguely with his head in the direction of Jade, and Jameson caught the hint.
"Jade, out!"
"But, dad, my story!" The petulant reply left her mouth before she could stop it, undoubtedly the product of years of habit. But she had the grace to look embarrassed and leave the office without another word, trying to save whatever professionalism she had left.
Once she was gone, Jameson opened the envelope, flipping through the various pictures of a masked figure swinging around New York in a black and red suit.
"Hmmm… these are good" the older man praised, staring at the images of a frustrated robbery at 5th avenue
Ben snifled nocomitically,
"There was a fire at 16th avenue happening at the same time" He offered, "we could use that. Spider-Man forgets his roots and leaves his old neighborhood to fend for itself, running off to save some pretty socialite…"
"Oh, that is excellent! See, this is why I like you, kid. You have initiative. Unlike these snowflakes out there. Oh, but Spider-Man is a hero. Hero, my ass"
"Well, when you watch your so called hero sit back and do nothing as your life gets destroyed" Ben shrugged, "the rose colored glasses tend to fall off…"
Jameson made a face at that,
"Yeah, about that… I'm sorry. For the role the Daily Bugle played on that…"
Ben shook his head,
"You thought you were getting the truth out there. It's not your fault to have been played, along with half the world. Plus," he added, sounding genuinely enthusiastic, "you gave me this job. And now we can really tell the truth"
"Even when our idea of the truth is somehow different" The older man scoffed, flipping around a picture of Spider-Man sat on what appeared to be a hammock of his own webs, eating a hamburger and reading something that looked suspiciously like a comic book, "Still hung up on that high schooler theory of yours?"
"Well, if it talks like a brat and acts like a brat…" Ben took out another envelope, this time containing a few burger king wrappers and, effectively, a spider-man comic book.
"Where did you even get these?"
"Harlem" was Ben's curt reply, and Jameson knew that was as exact a location as he was going to get.
"So you still believe this is a copycat? Some kid playing dress up"
Ben simply shrugged again.
"Well, there seems to be an epidemic of those lately" Jameson admitted, indicating Ben to come closer, passing a tablet to him, "Jade just handled me this, take a look"
Ben took a deep breath, steeling himself, already knowing what he was going to see in it. Yet, a part of him couldn't help but hope to be wrong. To hope the silver haired figure facing three much bigger, stronger looking ones as he pressed play, wasn't the same one he had spent weeks memorizing last summer. Wasn't the body he had found solace in, when everything fell apart, once again, for the hundredth time in his life.
To hope it wasn't you.
But when in his twenty-two or so years of existence, had things ever gone his way?
Ben felt the screen crack under his fingertips.
"I've heard of her" he lied through his teeth, "didn't even think she was real, to be honest. Extremely elusive, and cunning." That much was true, "I don't understand how something as mundane as a security camera managed to catch her…"
Unless you wanted to be caught, that was.
"Well, I don't care if she's the fucking Loch Ness monster, I want an HD picture of her on my desk tomorrow to go with Jade's article. I already have a headline: New Catastrophe Jen wreaks havoc on Hell's Kitchen" Jameson's eyes lit up with glee as he weaved his hands up in the air, like writing on an invisible marquee.
Ben snorted
"Don't you mean Calamity Jane?"
Jameson's face fell, the color rising to his cheeks, characteristic vein popping on his forehead.
"I meant what I meant, boy! Now, what are you still doing here? You have 24 hours to get me that picture"
"I'm going to need 72," came Ben's unphased reply, "and I want twice what you pay me for the spidey pics"
Jameson's vein looked about ready to explode,
"48 hours. And deal."
Ben jumped from his seat and bolted out of the office before his boss could change his mind, not realizing until it was too late that he was on a collision course with a sweet looking short haired blonde girl.
"Watch where you're going! Jeez!"
"Me? You're the one who crashed against me!"
Ben rolled his eyes, but crouched next to the girl anyway, helping her gather the papers that had been sent flying on impact back together.
"Peter? Oh my god, is that you?"
Of course. What an idiot, he should had recognized that annoying, shrilly voice the second he heard it. It had caught him off guard, something he knew he couldn't afford. But how could he had ever imagine he could run into Betty fucking Brant, Yale cum laude, in the freaking dailybugle.net headquarters of all places?
"Sorry, sweetheart. You must confuse me with someone else…" He mumbled, lowering his head even more in a vain attempt to hide his face.
"Of course not!" She insisted, "You're Peter, Peter Parker, we went to Midtown together!"
"Miss, I have no idea what you're talking about…"
"Don't be silly, Peter!" She chuckled, completely deft to his tone or the way his whole demeanor had changed the second she had called him by the old name. "How have you been? Oh, just wait until I tell Ned, he's going to be so-"
CRACK.
At last, the tablet that had been in peril ever since Jameson had put it in Ben's hands, the one that contained his assignment, met its demise, both broken halves falling to the ground, along with all the papers he had picked up for Betty. It was several moments before he could get the shaking of his hands under control, before the tar black rage inside him subsided enough for him to be able to move without shifting. But it had.
"Peter Parker is dead." He deadpanned, dark brown eyes finally meeting Betty's stunned blue ones, "Tell Ned that, he'll probably be glad to hear it"
With that, he stood up and walked away, leaving a confused and agitated Betty behind.
To be continued...

I’m Only Human
Chapter 1
Pairing- Loki x Mutant Reader, Thor x Mutant Reader(Best friends)
Warning- cursing
H/c- hair color
Puente Antiguo,New Mexico
The Suv sits parked in the desert. Suddenly, the roof panel of the Suv FoldOpen. The underside of the panels house a variety of hand-built Astronomical Devices, which now point at the sky. Jane Foster pops her head through the roof. She positions a Magnetometer, so its monitor calibrates with the constellations above. It appears to be cobbled together from spare parts of other devices.  “Hurry!” Jane Insisted. Hearing a loud Bang followed by muffled cursing from below. Jane offers a hand down to Erik Selvig who emerges as well, rubbing his head.”Oh-- watch your head.”
“Thanks. So what's this "anomaly" of yours supposed to look like?” Erik wondered.
“Hopefully you only get a headache from how hard you hit your head” Y/n Munroe giggled as she opens the back door of the suv and jump out.
“ Explain to me why you’re here again” Erik murmured.
“ If I remember correctly you found me and asked if I could be your assistant.” Y/n proclaimed flipping her white and h/c out her face.
“It’s a little different each time. Once it looked like, I don't know, melted stars, pooling in a corner of the sky. But last week it was a rolling rainbow ribbon--"Racing "˜round Orion?" I've always said you should have been a poet.” Erik joked.
Jane reigns in her excitement. She tries for dignity. “Hey, Darcy. Pass up the bubbly and my gloves, will you?.” Jane asked. The Intern Darcy Lewis hands Jane a bottle of Champagne and a pair of gloves through the window. Jane passes it to Selvig to hold while she pulls on the old gloves -- too large and masculine for her small hands. He starts to unwrap the foil, and she stops his hand with an excited grin.”Not until you see it!”
“I recognize those. Think how proud he'd be to see you now.”Erik shared.
Jane's grin fades to a sad smile.”Thank you.”
“For what?”
“The benefit of the doubt.”The three stare out at the sky expectantly. A long beat while they scan the skies. Nothing. Jane's worried. “It's never taken this long before.”
Darcy calls up from the front seat. “Can I turn on the radio?”
“Sure, if you like rocking out to KFRM,All agriculture, all the time. Worried, Jane heads back down into the vehicle.
Y/n walks up to Suv window “Don’t worry everything will work out”Y/n told Jane with a small smile.
The SUV is bathed in the glow of high-tech monitorin equipment and laptops, some looking like they're held together with duct tape. Jane opens a well-worn notebook of handwritten notes and calculations. Selvig watches the frustrated Jane with sympathy.
“The anomalies are always precipitated by geomagnetic storms.”Jane began. She shows Erik and Y/n a complicated chart she's drawn in the book, tracking occurrences and patterns.”The last seventeen occurrences have been predictable to the minute... I just don't understand.”she pondered.
Something catches Darcy's eye out the driver's side mirror. She adjusts it. In the distance, Odd Glowing cloud form in the skies over the Northeastern end of the desert. “Jane?” Darcy calls small panicky voiceJane shushes her, leafs through her notes. The bottle of champagne begins to vibrate.
“There's got to be some new variable... Or an equipment malfunction.” Jane wonders. The lights and equipment in the Suv begin to Flickr around them. The computer monitors squelch with static.
“I don't think there's anything wrong with your equipment...” Darcy stated.
The champagne bottle starts to Rattles noisily now as it shakes more violently. Jane,Y/n and Selvig notice. They watch it curiously, pressure building up inside it, when the cork explodes out of it. Champagne goes spewing everywhere -- over equipment, over Jane. “Jane?”
“What?!”Jane snapped.
“I think you want to see this.”Darcy points out the window. Jane,Y/n and Selvig look out. Over the desert Massive rainbow cloud Churn in the sky. The three stare, dumbfounded.
“Holy Shit” Y/n  swore.
“Holy. Shatner.” Jane blurted.
“That's your "subtle" aurora?!” Erik teased.
“No-- yes! Let's go!” Jane noted.
“See patience is a virtue” Y/n called out as she is standing in the middle of it all.
The roof panels still open, the Suv races towards the strange event, Jane, amazed by the sight, stands with half her body out the roof, taking video of the light storm before them.
The SUV hits a bump. Jane nearly flies out but Selvig grabs her, yanks her back in.
“Y/n gets to be out there and I can’t” Jane grins, thrilled, pumped with adrenaline
“ Well Y/n is not like us” Erik replied.
.”Isn’t this great?!”Jane started with excitement in her voice. A thought strikes her.”You’re seeing it too, right? I'm not crazy?
“That's debateable. Put your seat belt on!” Erik encouraged Jane. Winds howls around the SUV now. Up ahead, spiraling down from out of the clouds comes -- an Enormous tornadoSuffuse with the strange rainbow light, roaring like a thousand freight trains as it touches down.
“Are you doing this!” Erik yelled at Y/n .
“Erik I can change the weather not make a Rainbow tornados.” Y/n yells at  in a dry tone.
Selvig looks up through the still-open sunroof at the enormous glowing funnel cloud with wonder. Jane clambers into the front seat, beside Darcy. She leans way out the window, Taping the storm.
“You've gotta get us closer so I can take a magnetic reading.” Jane Announced.
Darcy laughs.”Yeah, right! Good one.”Pauses.“Oh God, you're serious...”
“You want those college credits or not?” Jena noted.
Erik yells out to Y/n” we’re going to get closer!”
” OK I’ll catch up!” Y/n yells back at Erik as she stands in the middle of the desert watching this mystical tornado.
The SUV tears across a field towards the tornado, Jane leaning out the window, taping the event. The Suv disturbs two ravens perched on a cactus as they race past. The birds take flight, when -- KRAKABOOM! A huge  bolt of lightningstrikes down through the center of the funnel cloud before them with a terrifying intensity. The Suv rocks from the blast. Darcy's had enough. She turns the wheel, starts to head away”Keep the credits. I'll intern at Burger King.”Darcy voiced.
“What are you doing?!” Jane yelped.
“Saving our lives!”
Jane grabs the wheel, jerks it hard the other way. They struggle for control, when the headlights fall on a man.Directly in their path, stumbling through the winds. Darcy slams on the brakes, Jane turns the wheel hard to avoid him.The SUV swerves but too late. The side of the SUV slams into the man with a Thud, sending him flying. The car skids to a stop.
Y/n flies over to see what all the commotion is about. “What’s going on” Y/n wondered but  sees a man unconscious on the groundA paralyzed moment, then they all leap out of the car. Jane, Darcy, and Selvig trade shocked looks, breathing hard. They peer through the dust clouds, unable to see through The four of them  race from the SUV with flashlights. Jane spots the man lying on the ground. He's dressed in tattered clothing, charred and blackened.
“I think that was legally your fault.”Darcy claimed to Y/n in a very convincing voice.
“Get the first aid kit.” Jane urged anyone who was listening.
Darcy heads back inside the SUV as Jane, concerned, kneels next to the man. Selvig and Y/n hovers, protectively. She gently turns his head to the light, and we see him clearly for the first time. He is magnificently handsome, long blonde hair flowing around his classically sculpted Features. She cups her hands around his face, as if willing the life back into him.
“Come on, big guy. Do me a favor and don't be dead, okay? Open your eyes and look at me.”Jane wheedled.
Suddenly, he groans, and she's startled, then relieved, as his eyes flutter open. She looks deep into his confused, azure eyes, which at last focus on her own. Locking onto them. For a moment, they each forget to breathe. The connection is broken as Darcy returns with the kit. She freezes when she sees how gorgeous the man is.
“Wow. Does he need CPR? Because I know CPR.” Darcy Chimed in.
A flustered Jane smooths her hair and sits back on her heels. She looks up at Selvig. Back to being a scientist.
“His eyes-“Jane started.
“Are beautiful-.” Darcy in a voice soft with affection.
“ -Are dilating. That's a good praised sign. Jane said with a note of relief.
“We still have to get him to a hospital.”  Erik disclosed.
“After we get a reading on the storm?”Jane answered.
“Immediately Jane” Erik insisted.
“Guys this is my forte I’ll stop the storm then we can take this guy hospital” Y/n put forth as she  holds out her hands eyes turning white. Jane,Darcy and Erik watching the storm evaporate above their heads.
“Where did he come from? “They exchange puzzled looks, as we move up through the last glowing remnants of the storm. Earth spins slowly before us as we hear a voice, deep and resonant -- the voice of Heimdall Gatekeeper of Asgard. “Questions, they've always asked questions -- this race called man, on this planet they call earth.Passionately longing to know how they are connected to the heavens. We pull away from the planet, widening, past other worlds, cosmic debris -- leaving first our solar system, then out . In ages past, they looked to us as gods, for indeed so many times we saved them from calamity. We tried to show them how their world was but one of the Nine realms  and in the Nine realms is a planet called a Asgard.” Beautiful beyond imagination. We fly over the magnificent
landscape of the Realm, through the gleaming capital city, modern yet timeless. The palace rises countless stories tall, gleaming with an other-worldly majesty, towering high above the Realm sprawled out before it. We move towards a large window of the palace, where a Figure stands. Odin Stares out at his kingdom. The ravens fly up to the balcony, land at his side.
Odin turns away from the window. His wife Frigga sits at a vanity and tries different earrings before the mirror.
“Do you think he's ready?” Odin wonder.
“He thinks he is. He has his father's confidence.”Frigga replies.
“He'll need his father's wisdom.” Odin told Frigga.”And his humility?” She remarked
Odin makes a face at this wife. “Thor won't be alone. Loki will be at his side to give him counsel.Have faith in your sons.” Frigga pointed out.
“Yes, but Thor's still a boy. He could be a great King...” Odin stops, notices his hand shaking. It seems to be out of synch temporally with the rest of the world, leaving a trail as it moves. He stares at it determinedly, concentrating, trying to stop the strange event through the force of his sheer will. Finally, the occurrence subsides, his hand normal once more. A worried Frigga covers his hand with her own.
“...if we only had more time.” He whispered.
“ For once, our son needs something we cannot provide.”She voiced.
“I can fight it a little longer...” he murmured
“No. You've put it off too long! I worry for you.” She said with a fond look.
Odin touches her cheek.”I've destroyed demons and monsters, devastated whole worlds, laid waste to mighty kingdoms, and still you worry for me?”Odin said in a voice soft with affection.
“Always.”
“Not today. Now come kiss your king... while I'm still king.” He pulls her close, and they kiss.
Directly under the throne room, a gloomily lit hall. Banners hang on either side to form a corridor down the middle of the fire lit room. Giant doors open at one end. A huge figure silhouetted against the bright light beyond walks forward. In slo-mo, we recognize the unmistakable shape of the God of Thunder. Hammer in hand, he reaches the end of a raised platform. An  attendant hands the figure a goblet of wine. He downs it quickly, hurls it towards the fire directly below.
“Another!” The cup smashes, the alcohol causes the fire to glow intensely -- and, for a moment, brightly lit, and seen full length, like a King to be, is The mighty Thor. He proceeds down stops, past camera, and down the center of the Hall.
We follow from behind and see at the other end, massively shadowed on one of the great banners, the shape of two great horns. As Thor approaches, the horn shapes move, and then, from the shadows at the side, emerges Loki, wearing his horned headpiece. Like Thor, he is dressed for a great ceremony. They stand by a brazier at the foot of steps that lead up to the crowded throne room.
“Nervous, brother?” Loki asked Thor.
“Have you ever known me to be nervous?” Thor grinned.
“There was the time in Nornheim...”Loki Trailed off.
“That wasn't nerves, brother. I was the rage of battle. How else could I have fought my way through a hundred warriors and pulled us out alive?” Thor replied  to Loki as The Attendant approaches with another goblet of wine for Thor.
“As I recall, I was the one who veiled us in smoke to ease our escape.”Loki put forth.
“Some do battle, others just do tricks.
The Attendant stifles a laugh. Loki notices, doesn't like it. He gestures towards the goblet in the Attendant's hand. Eeels pour over the sides of the goblet, slithering out and across the terrified Attendant's hand. He scream, hurls the goblet to the ground. Loki chuckles.
“Loki...” Thor warned Loki. Loki gestures to the writhing eels on the ground. They turn back to spilled wine, the illusion shattered. “Now that was just a waste of good wine.”
“Just a bit of fun.” Loki said to the Attendant.” Right, my friend?”The Attendant isn't so sure. Thor dons his Eagle winged helmet.
“Nice feathers.” Loki told  Thor about his helmet.
“You don't really want to start this again, do you, Cow?” Thor teased Loki.
“I was being sincere!” Loki Announced.
“You're incapable of sincerity.” Thor proclaimed to Loki.
“Am I?” Loki replied. He looks his brother in the eye, all pretense lost.”I've looked forward to this day as long as you have. You're my brother and my friend. Sometimes I'm envious, but never doubt that I love you.”
Thor searches his brother's face, sees no trace of irony. He's either speaking from his heart or he's a very, very good liar. Maybe both. Thor puts an appreciative hand on his brother's shoulder.
“Thank you.” The two brothers take in the moment a beat, then.
“Give us a kiss.” Loki teased Thor.
“Stop.” Thor makes the final adjustments to his ceremonial wear. “How do I look?” Thor questioned Loki.
“Like a king.” Loki shared as They hear the blast of a ceremonial Horn.”It's time.”
“You go ahead.” Loki casts him a wary look.”I'll be along. Go on.” Thor disclosed in a casual tone. Loki heads inside the palace without his brother.
Volstagg combs his great beard in preparation for the big event. As he does, he's surprised to find a stray grape stuck in the beard. He pulls it out, looks around, then eagerly pops it into his mouth and gobbles it down. Fandral checks his reflection in a mirror, smooths out his moustache, gives himself a dashing smile. A Pretty Maiden holds the mirror before him, as other Maidens  look on dreamily.
“Thank you, love.” Fandral said in a flirtatious way the Maidens. ”Now who'd like to polish my sword for me?” Fandral Announced and the giddy Maidens eagerly raise their hands.
Hogun stands staring ahead grimly, his hands folded in front of him, amidst the hustle and bustle of the attendants and the ceremony preparations going on around him. A Helpful attendants approaches him and starts to polish his armor. Hogun turns his head, gives him a look. Intimidated, the Attendant quickly backs away. From behind, we see a Woman In ceremonial Armor take off her Sword and set it on a table, then her Shield, then several Hidden Daggers  and small, yet intimidating Weapons . We reveal that it's Sif, looking radiant. She eyes the weapons on the table.
“I'll miss you.” Sif whimpered to her weapons.
Colorful ceremonial Banners of the Nine Realms adorn the room, crowded with Aesir and representatives from across Yggdrasil, all Buzzing with excitement. Thor's  Comrades enter and stride to their place of honor at the front of the hall. They are... The Warriors Three.
Volstagg has the girth and strength of a Sumo wrestler, with oversized passions to match. Fandral, the consummate swashbuckler, is agile, charismatic, and nattily dressed. Hogun-- dark, sullen, brooding -- a large mace slung at his side. With them walks the warrior maiden Sif. She's clad in armor,a shield and sword at her side -- a beauty not to be trifled with.
“I hope this goes quickly. I'm famished.” Volstagg grinned.
“Noooo!” Fandral squeaked.
Are you attached to that pretty face of yours? Because one more word, and you won't be. Volstagg commented.
“My, we are hungry, aren't we?” everyone laughs except Hogun.
Fandral turns to him.”Go on, Hogun. Smile. You can do it. Even you, Hogun the Grim. Just one smile.” Fandral urged Hogun who just stares at him grimly. “All right, half a smile. Look, forget the smile, just show some teeth.” Fandral made public.
“Fandral, is it true the famous Warriors Three are ready to meet any challenge?” Sif asked.
“Name it, Lady Sif.”Fandral insisted.
“Keep your mouth shut.” Sif teased.
Imposing Einherjar Guards clad in armor, swords at the ready, stand watch inside the massive underground structure beneath the palace. A cold Breeze blows past them. Thor stands, his fingers nervously drumming the handle of his hammer. Frigga approaches behind him, sees his anxiety.
“It's all right to be nervous.” Frigga chimed in.
Why does everyone keep saying that? I'm not nervous!” Thor proclaimed in a Casual tone.
“You may be able to fool the rest of Asgard-
“...But never you. I know.”
“Thor, just remember that you have something even the great Allfather never had.”
“And what is that?”
“Me for a mother.” She smiles.”Now don't keep your father waiting.” Frigga  told Thor then leaves.
Sif and the Warriors Three still wait before the crowd. Loki and Frigga enter.
“ There’s something I have to tell you after the ceremony it is very important” Frigga shared with Loki.
“I will mother” Loki agreed as he takes his place at the front of the Phall alongside the others. With another blast of the horn, the crowd goes silent as the Einherjar honor Guards moves into formation. They part to reveal Odin sitting atop his throne, clad in full ceremonial armor. He holds his spear Gungnir before him. Any trace of weakness in him is gone now. He exudes all the power and majesty of a Ruler of Asgard. Frigga joins him at his side. He looks around the hall, casts a glance over to the Warriors. Thor is nowhere to be seen. Odin looks to Loki. Loki shrugs. Odin isn't pleased.A murmur spreads through the crowd.
“Where is he?.” Volstagg asked Loki.
“He said he'd be along.” Loki replied. Sif realizes the truth, shakes her head in disapproval.
“What?” Volstagg questioned Sif.
“He wants to make an entrance.” Sif told Volstagg.
“Well, if he doesn't show up soon,he shouldn't bother. Odin looks like he's ready to feed him to his ravens.” Fandral commented.
“I wouldn't worry. Father will forgive him. He always does.” Loki replied.
Just then, at the back of the hall, up the steps from the lower level Mjolnir Roars up into the hall, Thor strides cockily into the hall behind it, catching it behind his back. The Crowd erupts in Cheers. Thor spins his hammer with a flourish, holds it up before the crowd, basking in the moment, relishing the adoration, whipping his audience up into a frenzy.
“Oh, please.” Sif murmured.
Odin watches from the front, not liking this showy display. As the sound of the cheers echo from above, the odd, cold breeze picks up in the Vault. The Guards rub their limbs to warm themselves. They grow increasingly uneasy, sensing something's not right. They exchange a look, then walk the length of the Vault's hallway to its end, where a Casket sits undisturbed upon a pedestal. Large shadows suddenly loom over them. They look up and Shout in terror as they raise their weapons.Thor finishes stirring up the crowd, then reaches the front of the room, kneels on one knee before his mother and father. Frigga casts him an admonishing glance. Thor winks up at her. She can't help but smile. Odin strikes Gungnir upon the ground with a deafening Boom.
The crowd falls silent. Odin speaks with quiet, effortless authority. He raises Gungnir before him.
“Gungnir. Its aim is true, its power strong. With it I have defended Asgard and the lives of the innocent across the Nine Realms since the time of the Great Beginning. And though the day has come for a new King to wield his own weapon - that duty remains the same. Thor Odinson, my heir, my first-born.”Pauses.” So long entrusted with this mighty hammer, Mjolnir. Forged in the heart of a dying star, from the sacred metal of Uru. Only one may lift it. Only one is worthy. Who wields this hammer commands the lightning and the storm. Its power has no equal -- as a weapon, to destroy, or as a tool, to build. It is a fit companion for a King.” Odin proclaimed.
The bodies of the Guards are flung to the Vault's floor, now strewn with ice. We don't see their attackers clearly, just catch glimpses of them in the shadows -- but they are large and blue-skinned. One of the creatures lifts the Casket off its stand and turns to go. But, as they do, the intricate latticework behind the Casket starts to separate and retract, revealing something standing in the shadows behind it. As the creatures walk away, a fiery glow rises behind them. They turn back around. Now it's their turn to Scream.
The Ceremony continues.
“Today I entrust you with thegreatest honor in all the Nine Realms. The sacred throne of Asgard. I have sacrificed much to achieve peace. So, too, must a new generation sacrifice to maintain that peace. Responsibility, duty, honor. These are not merely virtues to which we must aspire. They are essential to every soldier and to every King.” Odin declared.
The Crowd and the Warriors Three start to shiver and rub their limbs for warmth in the increasingly cold air of the hall. Thor turns back to face his father. Odin looks upon his son with pride.
“Thor Odinson, do you swear to guard the Nine Realms?”Odin questioned Thor
“I swear.” Thor replied.
“Do you swear to preserve the peace?”
“I swear.”
“Do you swear to cast aside all selfish ambition and pledge yourself only to the good of all the Realms?”
“I swear!” Thor yells in excitement.
“Then on this day, I, Odin Allfather, proclaim you--“Odin hesitates, noticing a strange sight before him. Ice creeps across the surface of the large banners around the hall, making an eerie CRACKING sound. Thor, his comrades, and the crowd see it too.
“Frost giants...” Odin commented.

The sounds of the forest were drowned out as the blood rushed through her veins, thumping in her ears. The harsh, ragged breaths burned her lungs as they struggled to expand and let in new oxygen. The ground below her pounding feet flew by as Y/N pressed on.
She gasped for breath, looking around frantically and there was nothing but an expanse of forest in any direction. I’m fucking screwed, was the only thought as she changed direction, trying to throw the newly turned wolf off her scent, leaving blood in one spot, only to change direction once more. Y/N repeated the process until she had left enough blood and false trails to confuse an entire nest of vampires. Come to think of it, she thought, vamps would be a welcome change to this fresh Hell.
Y/N paused only momentarily to ease the cramp in her side and tighten the belt around her wounded arm in an attempt to stem the bleeding. She knew she needed to get out of there, but wasn’t sure which direction was which anymore. Pulling her phone out, she was shocked to find a faint signal.
Y/N thumbed out a quick message to the best hunters she knew and prayed for the best.
Need assistance with new wolf. BHNF between Sturgis and Deadwood. I think. Wounded but alive. Y/N/N
She waited a few moments after she hit send, not wanting to risk losing the signal, but the howl that echoed off the surrounding forest forced Y/N to stow the phone and head in what she hoped was the correct direction of her car.
Sam flipped on the table lamp and stared at the flashing green light. He unlocked the phone and blinked away the sleep. He knew from experience that a text or call at two in the morning was never a good thing. His thumb swiftly opened your text and his eyes widened at the words and his heart thumped wildly in his chest. He blindly typed his reply:
Just finished salt n burn in Custer. On our way. Be safe. Sam
“Dean,” Sam’s voice broke the quiet of their motel room and he flipped on the lights, causing Dean to grumble.
“Dean, I just got a text from Y/N. She is about an hour north and in trouble. We have to go.” Sam explained, his voice frantic as he threw his belongings into his duffle.
“Got it. I’ll be ready in ten,” Dean threw back the covers and moved quickly.
Within fifteen minutes, they were packed, fueled up and filling their stomachs with old gas station coffee and stale donuts. Dean gunned it north on 385.
“Dean, watch the road; we don’t want to hit a buffalo,” Sam advised.
“Buffalo? Like ‘Tatanka’ buffalo?” Dean’s faced scrunched up in disgust when he realized what kind of damage an animal the size of a buffalo could do to his Baby and flipped on the high beams.
“Dude, you just quoted ‘Dances With Wolves’,” Sam shook his head in disbelief at his brother.
“What? It was a historical movie and it had horses, just like a good western!” Dean protested.
“Anyway,” Sam’s exaggerated pft bounced off the dash. “I was able to track her phone from where she texted me. She is only about a mile west of Deadwood. She said it was a new wolf. So something in Deadwood or nearby is playing with their food.”
“Deadwood? Like Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane Deadwood?” Dean perked up.
“Pull up, Dude! Our friend is in trouble and I need you to focus,” Sam lectured.
“Right, sorry. New wolf, Y/N, Deadwood. You said about a mile west. So we’ll start there,” Dean recounted the info Sam had given him and pressed harder on the gas.
“She said she’s wounded, Dean. What if we don’t get there in time? What i-” Sam babbled.
“Sammy, you can’t think like that. She is one of the smartest hunters we know, smarter than me for sure. She’ll be just fine. We will find her, take out the wolf and you can nurse her back to health. It’s about time we invite her to the Bunker anyway,” Dean insinuated, looking sideways at his brother.
“Dean, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Sam denied.
“Sam, she is even smarter than you,” Dean laughed.
“You’re going to have to go straight into Deadwood, then head west on 14, there is a Kamground of America about a mile outside of town that is close to where she was last,” Sam directed.
~*~
Dean pulled into the back of the lot at Deadwood KOA and they grabbed their gear, ensuring their guns were loaded with silver bullets. Sam checked his GPS one more time before they headed into the wilderness surrounding the campground.
“The KOA is only about two thousand feet from her last known location,” Sam estimated as they hiked through the darkness on foot. Ninety minutes had passed since her first text and he hadn’t heard from her since. He internalized his fears for her and trekked on with his brother.
“Sam!” Dean called out. “Look, blood.”
“It’s still fresh, Dean. Come on, we need to find her,” Sam demanded as he started scanning the ground and trees for any other signs of her. He and Dean searched the area, finding more blood and that was when Sam finally figured it out.
“She backtracked to hide her trail, leaving her scent everywhere,” Sam marveled at her genius. He closed his eyes and took slow, deliberate breaths, letting his mind empty of all thoughts but what he would do next if he was in her boots. He turned around, opened his eyes and looked again; maybe there was something he was missing.
They were enclosed with trees on every side of them, no trail in sight. Sam surveyed the trees that had the most blood on them, but one had more than others. He shined his light up the bark toward first few branches, taking note that several were broken or cracked. His heart pounded with hope as he shone the light farther up the branches and there she was. Her body was prone over one of the larger branches.
“Dean! I got her!” Sam’s voice quaked and Dean ran to him. There was a small spattering of blood at the base of the tree. She was injured and they needed to get her down.
The nearest intact branch was about ten feet above ground, but Sam couldn’t reach it. Dean braced himself and Sam stepped into his brother’s handhold. With a push of force, Dean was able to boost Sam high enough so he could grab the branch and pull himself up.
Sam climbed the next few branches until he reached Y/N. He shook his head at her genius; she had strapped herself to the tree branch using her belt. Sam quickly checked her for injuries, but before he could wake her, his attention was drawn below him as the wolf had found them and thrown Dean against the tree, knocking him out cold. “Shit.”
Sam carefully drew his weapon, bracing himself on the branches above and below, taking aim. “Hey, Spot!” That got the newborn’s attention and Sam fired once, hitting the beast in the face, dropping it to the ground next to his brother. Sam unloaded two more rounds to the heart.
“Sam?” Y/N was groggy and Sam’s face blurred in her vision. “Am I dead?”
“Not today, Y/N/N. Not on my watch. Let’s get you down from here, okay? You think you can help me help you?” Sam questioned as she sat up.
“Um, yeah, I think so. Just, go slow, okay?” she cautioned.
“No worries there. I was counting on Dean to help me get you down, but he’s out cold, so slow and easy it is,” Sam agreed.
Sam asked questions about the case as they made their way down. “Was it just the one werewolf, Y/N?”
“There were two, and I got the first one. I didn’t know about the second, but it was new, the sire must have turned it just this cycle,” she theorized as she sat on the bottom branch. Sam was on the ground and checked on Dean. “I think they were targeting the bike rally in Sturgis.”
“Okay, Y/N, I am going to need you to jump, but you have my word; I will catch you,” Sam promised.
“You better, Winchester,” she groaned and let herself slide off the last branch, landing neatly in Sam’s arms, her own tight around his neck.
“You caught me,” she looked up at him, her eyes hazy, then passed out. Sam laid her on the ground next to Dean as he dug a grave to bury the body.  Dean woke up first and they decided to get going.
Dean was well enough to walk on his own as Sam carried Y/N back to the Impala. Even with the bike rally in full swing in nearby Sturgis, the trio was able to find a vacancy at the Gold Dust Casino and Hotel, although they paid three times what the room was worth.
Dean grabbed the first shower, giving Sam time to clean and stitch up Y/N’s arm. The cuts weren’t all that deep, but ran the entire length of the inside of her forearm and she was passed out again by the time he finished. Sam cleaned the wound once more for good measure, then bandaged it up. He retrieved a clean wash rag from the bathroom and a pitcher of warm water and set to cleaning the dirt, grime and blood from her face.
He paused as each swipe of the cloth revealed her natural beauty to him. Her long black lashes cast shadows over her cheeks where her color was returning, a rosy pink in her skin. Y/N’s lips were slightly chapped, but he still pondered what they would feel like against his. He imagined they were soft and sweet, like the honey butter he preferred on his pancakes. He ran his thumb against her bottom lip, when she sighed, her lips parting slightly, then gasped as she bolted upright.
Sam jumped back from her, “Welcome back, Y/N/N. You gotta quit doing that.”
“Doing what?” she puzzled.
“Passing out on me. That’s twice now. But uh, um, you’re good to go; all patched up,” Sam stammered, as he bumbled the supplies.
“Thank you, Sam,” she laid her good arm on his shoulder, making him tense up and swallow hard. “For, well, for everything.” She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek, watching as a blush crept up his neck and spread over his face.
“You’d do the same for us, Y/N,” he replied.
Dean sauntered back in the room with a few pastries and three cups of coffee. “Hey, you’re up! So, I was thinking, you should probably come back to the Bunker with us. We’ve got plenty of room and you gotta give that arm some time to heal up. Isn’t that right, Sammy?”
“Yeah, don’t want to rip open those stitches. And sure, we got room,” Sam added with a shrug, staring at his brother, silently telling him to fuck off. Dean just grinned like a fool because he got Sam’s message loud and clear.
“That would be great, thank you both. I, uh, just need to get my car. It is parked off 14 about three miles west of here,” Y/N stated.
“No problemo. We can drive there, then Sammy here can drive it back for ya; rest that arm,” Dean shoved a pastry in his mouth and continued to smile.
Sam spent the entire drive back to the Bunker sparing sideways glances at Y/N when she wasn’t looking. He had been such an idiot. He shouldn’t have allowed himself to get too close. He needed to keep his cool. Between him and Dean, Sam was the level headed one; he always thought things through before acting on them and there he was, ready to lean in and kiss her. God this is going to be a long week filled with cold showers.
~*~
“Sam!” Y/N’s voice echoed through the Bunker and Sam took off at a sprint toward the kitchen, gun drawn.
“Y/N?!” Sam shouted for her.
“Hey, there you are! Can you get me that olive oil off the top shelf, please?” she asked so sweetly, but what caught Sam’s attention was the state of her clothing, or lack thereof. She was wearing short shorts, that barely covered her rear and a tank top so tight, it left little to the imagination, but that didn’t stop Sam from using his…
“Uh, um, yeah. Here ya go,” Sam easily reached the oil and passed it down to her, getting a good look at her displayed cleavage. Sam, stumbled over his own feet in a rush to get out of there. He decided multiple showers per day were perfectly acceptable.
~*~
Y/N walked into the library one afternoon, finding Sam alone at his laptop, no doubt looking for another case. “Hey, Sam?”
‘Hmmm?” Sam looked up briefly from his screen.
“I wanted to cook for you guys tonight, but Dean is doing an oil change on my car. Would you mind driving me to the market so I can get some fresh vegetables? I know you prefer them over the processed, grease filled dinners Dean normally makes,” she remarked.
“You’re right about that. Just give me a few and we will head out, okay?” Sam agreed.
Y/N stepped closer to Sam, placing her hand next to his on the table. Her breasts brushed his arm as she leaned into him a little. “So, you find us a case?”
“Uh, no, um, just doing some research for another hunter. You’re not ready to go out yet and, I, uh, we, wanted to wait until you were fully healed,” Sam’s breath faltered as his words tumbled nervously from his mouth. His eyes remained locked on the screen, not daring to meet her gaze. Her hot breath fanned across his cheek and the open collar of his flannel, littering his skin with goosebumps.
“I need to take a shower before we leave,” Sam pushed back from the table abruptly, almost racing to the bathroom. Y/N took his vacated seat, propping her feet up on the table, a satisfied smile on her face.
~*~
“Sam, do you prefer asparagus or brussel sprouts? I have an amazing balsamic that would pair nicely with either,” Y/N inquired sweetly as she looked up at the tall hunter, her eyes shining bright in the sunshine of the open air market.
“Oh, um, asparagus, I guess,” Sam couldn’t take his eyes off her. The way the sun lit up her hair, setting the strands ablaze as they danced on the breeze. She brushed them from her face and loosely tucked them behind her ear, tugging one corner of her lower lip with her teeth.
“I agree, we have everything I think I’ll need,” she looked over their purchases, paid for the asparagus and handed it to Sam, her fingertips lightly brushing his as she removed her hand.
~*~
“Sam!” Y/N called for him from the library late one evening.
“Yeah, Y/N/N?” Sam asked as he rounded the corner from the kitchen hall. She was standing on her tip toes, legs bare and wearing nothing but one his red flannels. His breath was punched out of his lungs at the sight of her and his pants were suddenly too tight in a certain spot.
“Can you reach that book for me, please? I wanted to read it before bed tonight and I just can’t get my hands around it,” she giggled, the soft sounds floating through the library and straight to his groin.
“Um, sure, no problem,” Sam tripped over his words for the second time that day with her. He reached up and easily snatched the book she wanted, handing it over swiftly, almost dropping it. “I am going to hit the showers and turn in. Good night, Y/N.”
“Thank you, Sam. Good night,” she replied, a silvery lilt to her voice as watched him rush from the room.
~*~
“Sam!” Y/N called through the empty hallway.
“Y/N?” Sam rounded the corner to the shower room and stopped dead in his tracks in the doorway. Y/N was standing in the middle of the room, hair dripping onto her ample chest, wrapped in a towel, that didn’t cover as much as it should.
“Sam, I need your help?” she murmured. “I need to put a new bandage on and I am just all thumbs with my left hand.” She coyly pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and looked up at him through her lashes. “I wouldn’t want it to get infected.”
“Uh, sure. Right, let me just get those bandages,” Sam turned on his heel but she placed her hand on his arm to stop him.
“I have them here,” she turned her back to Sam, bending down to grab them from the bench when her towel fell away completely, leaving her fully exposed to Sam when she turned to face him. “Here.”
Sam’s brain told him to look away, but the way his cock was twitching in his jeans, he was torn on his current moral course of action. He turned around instead. “Your, um, towel, Y/N.”
“Sam, you know for a clever boy, you can be pretty stupid,” she laughed, her lilt echoing off the tiled walls.
“Um, what are you talking about?” Sam babbled.
“Sam, I have been hitting on you constantly since I got here. And don’t try to tell me you’re not interested; no one takes that many showers!” she teased.
Sam turned around, allowing himself to admire her in her natural state. “So you think I’m clever?”
Y/N took a step closer to him, but he was just out of her reach. “I also said you can be pretty stupid.”
Sam closed the gap, pulling her naked form to his body and crashing his lips to hers. He pressed his tongue against them, prodding for entrance which she granted, their lips slotting together as their tongues fought for dominance. Sam pulled back first, his breaths ragged.
“I was right,” Sam whispered.
“Right about what, Sam?” Y/N asked.
“Your lips do taste like honey butter,” Sam ducked his head down for another taste.

Hello. How love letter from Calamity Jane (Fate) would look?
A Love Letter. You think the envelope is plain but it’s hard to tell past all of the stickers and glitter. It looks like cupid had a field day here. It’s impossible to open without getting sparkles all over the floor and your hands.
I love you!
Hehe, did I surprise you? Aww, I wish I could have seen your face. I’ll just have to dream of it, at least for now. The first rule of love is to always keep the other on their toes! Or maybe that’s bounty hunting? Eh, close enough!
I wanted to surprise you, ya know? I bet you never expected a letter from me! Talking about your feelings is important and I want you to know that I care. And I’m serious about you. For real.
I love you. I love you so much it hurts! I want to hold you close and never let go. I want to go on adventures and get lose with you. We’d never be lost because we’re together! Just us and the open road, doing what makes us happy. Spending all that time with you sounds like a dream come true.
Come find me and we’ll go wherever you want. You deserve a break every once and a while! As long as we’re together, nothing can stop us.
Jane ♥

The House Across the Street
Tumblr media
Chapter Two
Go back to Chapter One
Words: 2256
Relationship: Reader x Alan (omc), but eventual Sam Winchester x female reader  OR Dean Winchester x female reader
Warnings: There are no warnings for this part.
Summary: So you finally got a new neighbor, huh?
Beta’d by: @anotherwinchesterfangirl
Read it on AO3 here
"I go away for one weekend and Thor moves in across the street, really?" Alan said upon arriving the following Monday evening.
"What?" Your head snapped up from peering into the skillet on the stove so fast that you whacked into the corner of the range hood. "OW! Oh, ow. Ow." You rubbed your scalp, gingerly, seeking to soothe the point of impact and reassure yourself that you weren't bleeding. Luckily, you weren't. You looked at Alan as he stepped close. "What about Thor?"
He chuckled, "You alright there, Calamity Jane?" His fingers gently brushing against your hair.
"I'll live. The plus side to being hardheaded. Hi, by the way." You gave him a quick kiss. "What did you mean about Thor?"
"You mean you haven't seen him?" Alan turned and put a six pack in the fridge. "I figured you would have been glued to the window all weekend." He gave you a teasing little poke in the side and you rolled your eyes.
"Not all weekend." You both laughed. There was no way you could have denied that you were slightly obsessed with the general oddness of everything across the street. Of course it didn't help that the house in question was basically all you could see from the kitchen and since you had the tendency to daydream in there, leaning up against the counter, you saw it a lot. "I saw furniture getting moved in on Friday, but no one since. But, contrary to popular belief, I actually wandered away from the window occasionally. Is there someone over there now?" You glanced out the window, but it was already too dark to see anything more than a dim light shining in the kitchen across from you. "Was it the tall one? With the hair?" You made a sort of fringe gesture of hair hanging in your eyes.
"Yep." You heard the crack and hiss of a beer opening. "Why? What other options were there?"
You filled him in on what he'd missed as you loaded up a couple of plates and headed into the other room to sit down. After speculating for a bit on the neighbors you managed to pry a few details about his weekend from him. His parents were well, but his dad was going in to get a scan for something about his leg.
"Ooh! Speaking of Thor, Iron Fist hit Netflix...wanna watch?" you asked hopefully as your brain jumped tracks suddenly.
"Were we still talking about Thor?" Allan shook his head in feigned disbelief, he knew how obsessive your mind was. "And didn't Iron Fist come out on Friday? Did you actually wait to watch it with me? I'm touched!" He kissed your forehead and wrapped an arm around your shoulder. "Yes, but only one episode, I've got to go in early tomorrow."
With an exaggerated sigh you said, "Fine! I mean, I've waited this long, I suppose I'll live with just one episode tonight. But I'm watching another episode tomorrow, with or without you."
"Reasonable enough," he replied and grabbed the remote to switch the TV on.
The next afternoon a late season winter storm blew through the region, dumping a good eight inches of snow and a crisp coating of ice over top of everything. Alan had, wisely, chosen to stay at his place, since it was closer to his work.
The sun dawned bright and dazzlingly clear Wednesday morning and your neighborhood suddenly looked like something out of a children’s Christmas book, all soft white curves and glistening mounds. You quickly drank down your coffee while bundling up in boots, warm coat and gloves. Grabbing the snow shovel from the closet, you headed outside to clear your driveway. The sharp sounds of shovels scraping pavement and happily shrieking children filled the air. Luckily, your driveway wasn’t very long, just two car lengths, so you only had the short distance from the back of your car to the road to clear. Even still, 30 minutes later, you were only about halfway done when you paused to take a breather. Leaning your elbow on the upright handle of the shovel you stood and enjoyed the view of the snow covered street for a bit.
The crunching of boots on snow caught your attention and you turned towards the sound. The long-haired mover from Friday, a.k.a. Thor, was walking across the street toward you, a friendly smile on his incredibly handsome face. Wow, you thought. Just, wow. You smiled back, grateful that the cold had already rosied your cheeks so he wouldn’t notice you blushing.
“Hi!” he said, his voice deep and smooth, and he smiled a little wider. Oh, he had dimples!
“Hi!” you managed.
“I, uh, just moved in.” He gestured back across the street and then extended his hand to you. “I’m Sam.”
You shook his hand, or, rather, you allowed his hand to completely engulf yours and give it a gentle up and down. “Y/N. It’s nice to meet you. I’ve been wondering who was going to buy the place. Welcome to the neighborhood!”
"Thanks. It's nice to meet you too." He looked down at the shovel, which you were still leaning on.
God he was tall, you realized.
"I've, uh, actually got a bit of a proposition for you." His eyes narrowed, although he was still smiling.
You blinked up at him, unsure where this was going, but silently praying that he wasn't going to turn out to be some lecherous creep. Lecherous creeps made horrible neighbors, always having to avoid them and worrying about what their intentions actually were, it would be a real pain in the ass.
Seeming to sense your hesitation, he continued quickly. "I'm not really prepared for winter weather. I foolishly thought we were passed it for the year. So, I thought I’d offer to finish shoveling your driveway for you, if I can borrow the shovel to clear my own?"
You sighed in relief. So far, so good. He seemed like a nice guy and in your experience, nice guys made excellent neighbors.
"Of course you can borrow the shovel. But, you don't need to finish my driveway, I can do it. I'll bring the shovel over as soon as I'm done."
He looked a little embarrassed, his forehead wrinkling up in the most endearing way as he glanced back at his car--a new-ish, shiny, black, Dodge Charger--and the snow drift sloping down the side of it.
"What?" You asked.
"Well, it's just," he paused and looked at you. You could see him trying to calculate your potential response to what he was about to say. He brushed his hair back from his face and continued. "It's just, you're going kind of slowly and I really need to be able to get my car clear so I can leave within the hour. I've got to be somewhere and..."
You huffed out a laugh and shook your head. "Well. Far be it for me to hold you back." You leaned the handle of the shovel in his direction. "Go for it."
"Sorry." He smiled apologetically as he took the handle. "Thank you. I'll bring it right back."
"Mmmhmm." You walked a few steps back toward your house before grinning to yourself and turning back to look at him. "I'm gonna be timing you."
He laughed and set to work.
Back in your kitchen, you shed your coat and gloves and poured yourself another cup of coffee. Hands hugging the sides of the mug to warm up, you watched Sam shovel the rest of your driveway in about five minutes before striding across the street to clear his own. Honestly, watching all that bending and lifting did more to warm you up than the coffee did. Soon enough however, he finished and was knocking on your front door. You waited a moment, so it wouldn’t seem like you’d been watching, even though you had been, but you didn’t want him to know that. You really needed to get another hobby, you chided yourself.
“Wow, okay, you do that a lot faster than I do,” you admitted after opening the door and looking across both drives.
Sam shrugged as he handed you back the shovel. “Thanks.”
“Absolutely anytime you need to borrow it, you are welcome to shovel my driveway for me.”
He laughed, and, dear god in heaven, you swore that his smile would melt snow all by itself. “I’ll keep that in mind. It was good to meet you, Y/N. Thanks again!” And he walked off, long legs eating up the distance to his car in no time at all.
You went back inside and got yourself ready for work.
By that afternoon all the weather reports were calling for another storm to tear through the area that night.
You texted Alan, “Did you see the weather?”
“Just saw it. Probably going to stay home again tonight”
“Ok, talk to you tomorrow”
“K”
***
Your phone dinged. It was still dark outside when you opened your eyes. Another ding had you stretching your arm out to the side to retrieve your phone from the nightstand. Even auto-dimmed for the low lighting, the screen was blindingly bright, and you blinked and rubbed your eyes as they adjusted. It was a text from Alan, “Babe everything’s coated in ice be careful.”
“Good to know, thx! You too!”
Ugh! Ice was the worst, you thought. You still had an hour before you needed to be up, but with ice, you might need more time getting into your car. Assuming, that is, that the roads were safe by then. So you reset your alarm to wake you in half an hour and collapsed back into your pillow.
***
Forty-five minutes later you were blowing steam off your first mug of coffee and staring out the window trying to determine how much ice was out there. Everything looked shiny, not a good sign, and the bare branches of the trees looked like they were coated in glass, really not a good sign.
You drank your coffee, got dressed and ready to leave the house, picked out your boots with the best traction and carefully stepped outside through the kitchen door that lead onto the patio. The concrete was definitely slick, but you could walk well enough. The gate, however, was completely, solidly frozen shut, which the bruise on your shoulder would attest to the next day. So you let yourself back into the kitchen, locking the side door behind yourself, and went out the front door instead. You were fine, thanks to the porch roof, until you reached the steps and your feet shot out to one side, your death grip on the railing was the only thing that kept you upright. The ground wasn't as slick and you made it, cautiously, to your car without slipping again.
Your car, you noticed as you walked around it to get to the driver’s door, had at least a ¼” of ice coating it. Although it happily unlocked when you pushed the button on the key fob and the door handle moved when you pulled on it, the door did not. You tried again. And again. The door wouldn't budge. You carefully walked around to the other side to try the passenger door, but it was no use, it wouldn't open either. Growling in frustration, you were halfway back around to the driver’s side again, right behind the car, when your feet slipped again, but this time there was nothing to grab hold of and you fell on your butt on the hard pavement.
“Ow!”
“You ok?”
You looked up in embarrassed alarm at the sound of Sam’s voice. You’d been so preoccupied you hadn't noticed that he was outside.
“My butt hurts, but I think I'll live.” You grimaced, cheeks bright red, and tried to get back up only to slip again, this time ending up on your back. “Ow!”
“Oh! Do you need help?” He actually sounded more concerned than amused at your predicament, and you mentally gave him another point in the nice guy column.
“No. This is part of my plan. I'm going to lie here and let my rapidly dwindling body heat melt my driveway. Thanks anyway, though!”
He chuckled. “Okay, well, you could try that, or, you could let me use some of this rock salt which would melt the ice without the hypothermia and trip to the ER?”
You turned your head and looked at him. He held a large bag that looked like it probably weighed a couple of dozen pounds at least. That's when you noted that he was walking around confidently, having obviously already treated his own drive.
“Huh,” you replied, “I suppose we could give that a shot. I can always go back to my method if it doesn't work.” Carefully, you sat up and waited for him to work his way over to you.
“That is quite a bag of salt you've got there,” you said as he offered you a hand up and spread a generous amount of salt crystals around your feet.
He shrugged. “When I saw they were forecasting another storm, I went out and got some winter supplies. Didn't want to be caught unprepared again, it's so embarrassing to have to borrow stuff from your neighbors.” He was smirking as he walked around your car, shaking salt out as he went.
“Oh yeah, that is humiliating. Oh hey, look! I think my butt actually melted a spot!”
