Hi! As far as I know, although I haven't read the books, as the plot progresses, Lestat (and others) will again have random connections with various characters. In the context of the series, it's hard for me to imagine how this can be shown in a way that would look appropriate. After all, in essence, all of Lestat and Louis' problems arose earlier precisely when they were with other people, and it seems to me that they should already be aware of this. In general, it seems to me that the series is trying to present this to us. Will we be able to avoid strange and inappropriate ships?

Probably not :)

But then a lot of what's to come still is in the past... and when we leave the past the relationships to others will be set (not just romantic, but friendship-wise also).

I think after season 3 we will have all big players, season 4 latest.

The show probably won't introduce the dozens of characters in the books, I think they'll reduce to "necessary", though they have also come up with interesting original ones.

But wrt Louis and Lestat... I think apart from Akasha there won't be a "love" relationship in modern times, and as said before I severely doubt they will go there for her. I don't think they will be with other people, tbh.

Even in the books there is nothing "serious", actually. Oh, there are flings, amusements. But ultimately it's Louis and Lestat.

for a few years in middle/high school i went to a "special ed" school that was part mental hospital and part school. in the 8th grade, i got attached to one of my classmates because she was the only other person there who knew what vocaloid was, and we were both into it. at the time, kaai yuki was mostly known through the western fanbase because of songs like Crusher's Calalini, and despite the controversy surrounding jani schofield and everything that was unearthed, and despite the song being kind of insensitive, Calalini was my friend's favorite vocaloid song because she was schizophrenic and she genuinely felt like the song understood her experiences. i associated her with yuki and with that song as a result. yuki, in my mind, has always looked like a sick and tired little girl with messy black hair because of this early association, instead of anything even remotely resembling her canon design lol (you can imagine i was pleased when inabakumori started taking off and not only does he use kaai yuki, his mascot character looks similar to my headcanons for what yuki looks like)

the school we went to was abusive, very shitty environment, i feel like i escaped from there by the skin of my teeth - my friend was not so lucky, the abuse really aggravated her schizophrenia symptoms. at some point she brought a knife to school and tried to attack one of the abusive "therapists" there, and she was taken away in an ambulance to a mental ward and i never saw her again. i was forbidden from asking for her personal information to try to reach out and i've never found her online anywhere. whenever i listen to songs using yuki i passively think about her, i really hope she's doing better now and is with safer people. i'm convinced she doesn't have a violent bone in her body, she was just an abused kid trying to defend herself

calalini is a really important song to me despite all of its flaws because of this personal story, and i really value the remake of it that changes the lyrics slightly. kaai yuki will always look like that disheveled girl with black hair to me

I do think that yes, the relationship between them will stay and will be explored further - over the next few seasons. They switched things up, so it will maybe go a bit differently than in the book, but it will be explored, yes.

And yes, the last we see of Daniel in the books, he is with Armand. They also are "it" for each other.

Armand... is desperate for love. He just wants to keep the love he has, by all means necessary. Unfortunately, that often includes doing things as he sees fit, and that in turn is often not how others would do it.

As per Lestat... we have only seen a certain narration of him, for effect. It's even been spelled out now that the narration was distorted on purpose in the first interview, and we now know that we cannot trust anything after that (and it is very clear imho why that would piss Louis off so much).

The few things we have of the "real Lestat", namely the letter and that telepathic mind call paint a bit of a different picture... just like there were a lot of contradictions we saw in season 1 - the truth bleeds through the narrative.

It will be very interesting to see what we will be "told" from here-on. And how that will click into place in the upcoming season^^
