hey do you know something about this whole cake network thing and why so many blogs here are trying to take it down? because I'm seeing some posts from other blogs and I'm pretty lost :/

so the cake network is a group of people in the 5sos fam who made a group chat and became best friends and it’s awesome i’m not a part of it but i follow most everyone who is and all those people are lovely.

imo being in a few 5sos networks myself it’s really just about having fun and making friends...idk why eveyone is comin’ for them, I think they’re great I love seeing all of them interact on my dash and i don’t think they’ve done anything wrong so idk why people are down their throats but people need to chill, cake network is cool

You’d been having a rough couple of days, stress and sadness have taken over your mind and you felt like you couldn’t get out of the state you were in. It was a Sunday afternoon and you still hadn’t gotten out on bed, duke cuddled into your side. You didn’t know how long you’d been in bed until Calum came in after a morning at the studio, shooting you a confused look.

“Have you gotten out of bed today love?”

You shook your head no and turned away from him, not wanting him to see your puffy, tired eyes. Calum walked over to your side and knelt down, placing his hand on your cheek and gently rubbing his thumb down your face.

“Alright, grab Duke, we’re going for a drive.”

He grabbed your hand to help you get yourself up, walking over to the chair and grabbing his green hoodie, tossing it to you knowing it’s your favorite. You grabbed Duke and followed Calum to his Range Rover, climbing in the front seat, pulling your seatbelt on. He grabbed the aux cord and plugged his phone in, turning his phone away from you while scrolling through his playlists. You furrowed your eyebrows at him wondering what he was hiding, until he turned on “You’re the inspiration by Chicago”. He turned to hand you his phone, showing you the name of the playlist he made, ‘for my one and only ♥️.’ You looked over at him, tears starting to form in your eyes. He grabbed your hand and kissed the back of it before putting the car in reverse and backing out of the driveway.

“These are all the songs that remind me of you in some way. I’ve been putting it together for a couple of weeks and felt this was the best time to show you.”

You grabbed his hand and continued to scroll through the songs, letting duke sit on your lap to look out the window. You guys drove for what felt like hours, listening to each song and laughing, feeling lucky you had someone like Calum to cheer you up when you needed it most.
