Little Amelia’s Not So Little Now

Treating myself to an Eleventh Doctor marathon for the first time in at least two years is the best New Years gift I could give myself. The first three episodes were just as strong as I remember. And now here comes River Song! I miss this part of my life so much.

In 1938, the Doctor (Doctor 11), Amy, Rory, and River Song went to Nazi Germany where River Song first tried to kill Hitler and then came close to killing the Doctor. They also met the Teselecta ("Let’s Kill Hitler", Doctor Who, vlm 3 TV)

Me, at a con with Christopher Eccleston, Wendy Padbury, and Caitlin Blackwood as guests, circa 9am: Wow, I’m so excited!! Especially for Chris’ panel later in the day!

MC: Well, our main guest today is Mr. Christopher Eccleston at 2pm. But we thought…why should you have to wait that long??

Okay, I don't recognize her, but doing a bit of digging, I'm finding that she was on Stranger Things, which I've heard a lot about. That's probably where it comes from. Either way, she's a cutie and I could definitely see her as my little rascal! In the past, I've gone with Caitlin Blackwood for Fiore (Can you tell I'm a Whovian?) But Sadie could work well too. The main distinction here is that Sadie is 5'2 and Caitlin is 5'8. On the one hand, it's a well known headcanon on my blog that her mom is tall, and also that they look very much alike. But on the other hand, Fiore has tiny energy. She just does. I'll have to think about this...

"Rory's very hard to remember..."

(Throughout the whole three minutes and thirty-five second story) "...And Rory." "Except for Rory." "I lost Rory once" "Rory can make tea" "I expect Rory will be there too." "Except Rory."

The story is about the Raggedy Doctor but she mentions Rory by name eight times and says "Raggedy Doctor" seven times.

She doesn't mention the doctor until almost a minute into the story but Rory is the first person she calls by name excavtly ten seconds in.

Also: "I lost Rory once" because "I forgot" Oops.

Also: "I hope it's not too long because sometimes I think everyone int he world might be a monster. It makes me a bit sad because it means you can't trust anyone these days. Not when everyone in the world might be a secret monster. Except Rory." The one person she didn't expect.

Also she didn't mention Mels, who was raised to kill her best friend, raised to be a secret monster, who believes she is a monster (she believes she's a psychopath but I think her confidence is a way to hide her guilt for what she almost and then did do to the Doctor.)

In case anyone missed this, this is a lovely short story by Moff, a sort of prequel to The Eleventh Hour, newly produced for the watchalong on Friday, narrated by Caitlin Blackwood!
