Hi, I'm Vienna!

I have this blog mostly to look at fandom stuff and promote my fics!

-Like I said, I'm a writer! I used to be a high level English student. My favourite style to write is with a very philosophical flair. At the moment, I'm trying to incorporate that into scripts for a video essay medium!

-I LOVE space and using space themed literary analysis. Whether that be the planets and stars themselves, or celestial idea like tarot or horoscopes, I think it’s all really cool to think about

Favorite color: Red is always my go to answer but tbh lately brown has been growing on me. Like, a nice warm, dark brown kind of like how black cat's fur looks in sunlight? That. Makes my brain happy.

Relationship status: Single. And while I fantasize about having a partner for cuddles and emotion vulnerability and the like, I hate the pressure being in a relationship can bring. So I am like, not looking rn lol.

Currently consuming/eating: A $2 baguette bc I am in an Expensive City for work and have discovered bread is the cheapest and most calorie dense food I can find lol

Last song: Modern Chemistry by Motion City Soundtrack

Currently watching: I am not really watching any tv shows rn, but I have really been enjoying Dark Routes by Miniminuteman/Milo Rossi on Youtube as that's been coming out. It is a motorcycle archeology tour, and he posts the main series on his main channel and the vlogs of him traveling on his second channel.

Last movie: FernGully. And I did not really remember this movie but now I have thoughts on the weird gender/nature politics of this movie. Like, it fundamentally does not question human's 'right' to dominate nature, just argues that it should be done without violence. That and the lack of any human women (the only women are fairies who embody this control of nature without violence) really compares this to gender through an ecofeminism lens. It ends up describing a kind of ideal masculinity as still in control of society and women but just not violent. Then it ascribes that to the interactions between humans and the environment. Honestly, this is typical 90s stuff so it is not that surprising but it all went totally over my head as a kid. Also Robbin Williams as Batty is peak.

Three ships: vashwood (Trigun) bc I have been haunted by those two tragic gay men for an entire year at this point and I do not think they're going to leave me alone any time soon lmao. Also, nobamaki (JJK) and caejose (Jojo's). I was out of fandom stuff for a long time and realize I now only engage with anime stuff lmao.

First ship: I literally do not even remember their ship name anymore but Dean and Cass from Supernatural lmao. (is it just deancass? cassdean, even? idk)

Currently working on: I am on a little bit of a hiatus rn, but I've been regularly posting trigun fanfic on my AO3. I don't really advertize my AO3 on this blog, mostly on my fandom (basically just trigun) blog @venjamyra. I do not claim to be an amazing writer, but check it out if you want. Also some final projects for this semester lmao.

Other than that, I've got a few friends I really like, a few friends I kinda don't, and some people in between. Solid nuclear family tho 👍

Heads Up- Part 23 (Joseph x Bust! Caesar)

"Morning, Jojo," Caesar said, planting a gentle kiss on his cheek.

It was just a daily routine at this point. By now, all the events of the past few months had seemed so...normal. Was anything even still normal at this point?

He was living with a clay sculpted bust who could talk and hop, so, no, Joseph decided, nothing was normal anymore.

And he loved it that way.

Joseph looked deep into Caesar's lively green eyes, the first thing he saw every morning when he awoke. He felt proud of his creation. In his brief existence thus far he had achieved so much: and even helped bring a thieving kid off the streets. His life, and Smokey's, and Suzi's, had been in dire need of a little magic, and perhaps this little being he had inadvertently summoned to life was just what his world needed.

"Morning, Jojo! Morning, Caesar!" Suzi cried out cheerfully from the kitchen as the smell of fresh hot pancakes wafted through the air. "Breakfast's ready!"

"Oh boy," Caesar joked dryly, cradled in Joseph's warm arms. "I can't wait to not be able to eat it."

"Aw, come on, Caesarino, lighten up a little," Joseph laughed as he set Caesar down on the dining room table. "We're all having a great time here!"

"I know, I know," Caesar said morosely, as he hopped to the other side of the table. "I'm just...not feeling too okay."

Joseph's smile faded in concern. "W-what's the matter, Cae? Are you hurt or something?" Joseph pondered momentarily if animate sculptures could fall ill, and what one would do in such a case.

Caesar smiled in reassurance. "No, it's not that," he replied comfortingly. "It's just...I feel lonely. Like, don't get me wrong, I love having you two around but..."

Caesar sighed. "I just feel a little, you know, trapped."

Suzi's heart sank, thinking about what it must have felt like to be confined and hidden away. To be something supernatural and extraordinary that the world could not understand. To be kept a secret forever.

Unless...

"Say, Jojo, what date is it?" Suzi asked. Joseph flipped through the small table calendar. "October 26th, why?"

Joseph pondered for a moment how so much time had passed. Caesar had been with him ever since March, and he was amazed that his beloved masterpiece was already nearly a year old.

"October 26th, huh?" Suzi beamed. "That means Halloween's this weekend!"

A smile suddenly crept across Joseph's face.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Dammit, Jojo!" Caesar complained as Joseph began fitting himself on with a bunch of silly costumes he'd found in his attic. "Aren't you a bit too old for this sort of thing?"

Joseph laughed as he donned a scary-looking mask and a plastic toy axe. "Nobody's too old for Halloween!" he laughed. "Besides, who are you to talk when you're not even one year old?"

Caesar fumed. "I hate that you're right."

Suzi came prancing into the room, dressed in a sparkly gown and a pair of fairy wings. "Jojooo! You're ready?"

"You too?" Caesar gasped in shock, at the sight of Suzi clad in a pink pastel getup one would expect of a little child. "And I thought Joseph going all Grim Reaper here was bad enough."

"What are you supposed to be?" Suzi asked Caesar absentmindedly.

Joseph giggled mischievously. "He's the Horseless Headman!"

Caesar wanted to complain, but stopped at the last minute as he felt a smirk creep onto his face. That one was actually kinda funny.

Joseph lifted Caesar up in one arm and held the plastic axe in the other. "So, what'cha think?"

Suzi scratched her head. "Well, I hope an executioner and a living head won't scare the kids too much!"

"Pfthh, isn't that the entire point of this holiday?" Joseph grinned, as he put down the mask with Caesar in tow.

It was the first time Caesar had gotten around the town outside of a box.

He marveled at the sights of Joseph's town, as Joseph carried him along. It was at least better than that one time he'd hopped out on his own, and besides, bouncing along on rough pavement was no picnic for his delicate underside.

But what amazed him most of all was all the little children running about at night, dressed in all sorts of costumes from funny to cool to genuinely unsettling. And even a few grown-ups too, at least Joseph wasn't alone.

A little kid dressed in a dinosaur costume peeked inquisitively at the unusual pair. "Hey mister! Is that head real?"

"And soon your head will be mine too!" Joseph roared playfully and raised his toy axe, and the kid ran off squealing in elated mock terror as Joseph laughed.

"Jojo!" Caesar scolded. "You're scaring them!"

"They love it, Cae!" Joseph explained. "If there's any time or reason to give them a little spook, it's right now!"

A thought formed in Caesar's mind, as he pondered Joseph's words. He'd kept still and silent the whole time to not scare the children. But if Joseph said that it was a great time...

"Look at that head," a little girl dressed as a witch said. "Hey, head, are you real?"

"Of course I am real," Caesar said, speaking to someone other than his tight little circle for the first ever time in his life.

The little witch girl's eyes widened as she stopped in her tracks.

And then slowly, the biggest, dumbest smile ever went over her face.

"Whoa," she said, awestruck. "That's so AWESOME!" she shrieked in delight, running off to tell her friends.

Caesar felt a strange sense of...acceptance, for some reason. It was a weird, holiday, sure, and even weirder that Joseph was getting him involved in it.

And yet, for once, he felt like he belonged.

It wasn't long before the neighborhood kids began to gather around the talking bust, clearly fascinated about how he worked.

"Hey mister head!" asked a small boy in a Frankenstein's monster getup. "Are you really just a head?"

"Yeah...?" Caesar replied uncertainly.

"So how do you eat?" a little princess asked.

"And how do you poop?" piped up a purple cat.

"I don't do any of those things!" Caesar insisted.

"Can you walk? You have no feet." asked a ghost kid.

"I can hop," Caesar replied.

"Show us! Show us!" the group of children cheered excitedly, prompting an exasperated groan from the bust.

"Come on, Cae, be a good sport," Joseph encouraged, setting him down on a soft patch of ground.

Caesar rolled his eyes, as Joseph laid him down onto the ground. As soon as he felt his base touch the surface, he began to bounce forward, and with each little jump the kids grew ever more hyped.

He turned back after hopping a short distance. "There, happy now?"

"How...how do you make it do that?!" asked a neighborhood woman watching over the kids, as she saw Caesar hop around.

Joseph looked her right in the face and gave a mysterious-looking smile.

"A magician never reveals his secrets. oooOooOOOooOOOO~", he added, humming in an attempt to channel the spooky atmosphere while the lady could only stare bewildered.

"Hop some more! Hop some more!" the children cheered. Caesar pondered to himself at how simple-minded these kids were, at that his very act of moving brought them endless entertainment.

"Alright kids, break it up," Joseph said, gently pushing through the crowd of cheering kids and picking Caesar back up, much to their disappointment. "Mister Head here can't be hopping all day."

"We've got places to be."

From door to door, Joseph went about town, carrying Caesar in tow. The reactions they got varied, from startled fear, to grouchy indifference, to welcoming cheer.

And slowly, but surely, Caesar felt the holiday spirit creeping into his being. He'd suddenly found himself enjoying more than he'd thought, and for once he had to agree with Joseph-- it indeed was fun.

"Hey mister head!" a little girl in a bear costume asked. "What happened to your body?"

Caesar smirked, and replied in the spookiest-sounding voice he could muster.

"THE REAPER TOOK IT AWAY...AND HE'LL TAKE YOURS TOO! OooOOOOO!"

Joseph playfully gave chase with the toy axe while the girl ran off squealing, and he handed her over a Tootsie Roll for being a good sport.

"See, Caesar?" Joseph told his clay companion. "You're getting into the mood too!"

"I can't help it," the bust answered shyly. "It's just...the most fun I've ever had."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Joseph said. "We've got a whole night ahead of us!"

In the midst of the crowd, Smokey had joined in on the fun. He'd been living with Joseph's uncle Speedwagon for the last few days, and visited weekly to be tutored in reading and writing by Suzi.

Today, he was visiting just for fun's sake. He was dressed as a pirate, with hook hand and eye patch, with a stuffed parrot atop his shoulder.

Oddly fitting, as, just a few months ago, he had to steal to make a living.

But now, he and Caesar had something in common. For the first time, he had the opportunity to just be a child as he was. To enjoy and have fun on a holiday where people took to the streets to play pretend.

Though some of the costumes, while he knew were pretend, still put him a bit on edge, given his past. And poor Smokey nearly dropped his basket when he ran headfirst into an executioner with an axe and a severed head--

Until he realized just who both head and executioner were.

"Joseph?" he pondered. "And...and Caesar?!" he added with much bewilderment. "You're outside! You're with...people will see you!"

"Smokey, old pal, didn't expect you!" Joseph exclaimed. "Relax, Caesarino here fits right in with the vibe, they think he's some kind of special effect," he added, laughing.

"I suppose so," Smokey said. "I mean, I'm just glad to get to have fun today." Joseph and Caesar both smiled knowingly, and set out to search for Suzi, who had pranced off on her own way to have adventures of her own.

It was early morning by the time the four tired friends headed home, with a massive stash of treats and sweets they had scored the entire night.

Caesar had gotten the most, as everyone adored his "costume". Even though he didn't even have one.

And he couldn't have any sweets, anyway, so he was happy to let the others enjoy them.

"So, Caesarino," mumbled Joseph through a mouthful of Thin Mints. "How was this night?"

Caesar glanced up at his maker, with the warmest, most thankful eyes Joseph had ever seen.

"It was wonderful," he said with a satisfied smile. "It's a weird holiday, but it's one I wish was more often."

There was a big world out there, that Caesar could never experience, being what he was and all. But that night, he got to experience a bit of it.

And it was the best day he had lived so far.

alright, so a little freeform brain leaking here on a couple things that I'm sure my twitter feed will be grateful to be spared from! so. I'm a fujoshi to be sure. now that that's been settled, I will say that yeah, I see a lot of things in a lot of places that some people might call a stretch. but it's all in good fun, so whatever, right? okay sure. I'm ass deep in JJBA right now (just the place to be 👍🏼) and just wrapped on part 3. (full disclosure: I am currently anime only, so bear that in mind for any and all that follows) I'm a ride or die for caejose, and figured I'd be a shoo in for jotakak but...I just don't see it. so my first thought was, while I was still watching the first half of stardust crusaders was "ah, well they're similar in age and look nice together, so I guess that's enough for some people". this is not an indictment or condemnation of anyone, btw - all in good fun, remember? but yeah, I just wasn't getting what was sailing this ship for people. I mean sure, the first few encounters set it up pretty nicely, but the way I've seen some of the fan works (e.g. doujinshi, fic, etc.) set up, I figured it kept building. fast forward to the battle with N'Doul and Kakyoin's subsequent absence for like 3/4 of the Egypt arc and I'm really left scratching my head... (SPOILERS) and going into things I already knew he was going to die. that's why given the popularity of the ship, I thought "oh boy, this is gonna be sad and angsty, but it'll be good!" AND OH BOY, LET ME JUST SAY THIS. he. did. not. have. to. die. a close call would've been sufficient and maybe even a bit better because he DESERVED to live his life, free of DIO. do you know what a BOON he could be to new stand users having gone through what he did? etc etc etc. ☹️ but yeah, when I squint with my fujoshi goggles on, I can see a one sided kind of thing on Kakyoin's end. maybe not fully realised for what it is, but certainly given that hint about how "if he'd fall in love" wrt Holly Kujo, it could be in his head. I think he's had a lot of time to think about things. he's young, but there's a certain emotional maturity there because he's had to deal with quite a bit. I don't so much buy this with Jotaro. I mean heck, I WANT to buy into that whole "barely controlling his passion" angle that a lot of people put forth, but idk. I mean yes, it is established that he THINKS people can tell how he's feeling from his expressions more than is ever close to being the case - it certainly signifies that he has a certain intense emotional life, albeit an almost exclusively internalised one. but he is also INCREDIBLY angry. I think that can happen when you're constantly boiling down everything that's thrown at you without processing it in a more conventional, dare I say "healthy" way. oh, and never mind the very pointed mission that they're on the whole story. there are moments here and there, but the pace was pretty intense because their enemies KNEW to attack while they were worn down. that said, I can't really support the idea that they "established a relationship" during that not-even-50 days because WHEN? HOW? fine, fine. I could see a fling of sorts, a nameless connection that just served to make them feel safer? relaxed? connected? idk? but not actual boyfs screwing in sand dunes and constantly stealing "knowing, lustful glances". I mean to be really unfair, I can't even buy that they're BEST friends. at least not the way I would see that sort of thing. closest? yeah, that's a real possibility. something I keep seeing that drives me a bit nutty though is that they always have this AWARENESS of being ~*each other's only real friend*~ or *~SO LUCKY that I'M the one he opened up to!*~ and uh, what? I mean okay yes, friendships forged in mutual intense circumstances can quickly become some of the deepest, most genuine types of relationships because they DON'T hinge on flakier things like mutual interests or places you both happen to be. (sorry.) so yes, I can ABSOLUTELY buy them being close, but it - again - would be more of a nameless bond that just sort of relied on the extremely organic levels of trust, respect, etc. fire tested, so to speak. so yes, this is me picking on the relationship as FRIENDS. more than that, and I need some real convincing - especially when the guy died before Jotaro could even take a real deep breath and have the time to reflect on ANYTHING. ironically enough, I would really like to explore what *could* have happened if they had time, and Jotaro had to sort of face a LIVING person, and how he feels about what happened now that he's living a relatively more slow-paced, if not outright normal, life. there could be some reckoning to be had there! (bonus points if there's some influence from a fairy god grandfather Joseph setting up some caejose mirrors - even platonic ones!!!) as it is, it's hard not to find that Jotaro would have his feelings about his dead friends sort of blunted, the book slammed shut, so to speak. he didn't have a life with Kakyoin BEFORE, so going back to life without him would probably be fairly straightforward as it stands. he wouldn't be living with constant reminders - which is why if Kakyoin were literally still alive, things would probably have to be different from that standpoint alone. Jotaro IS the responsible type, even if it isn't always so obvious - think of how he's introduced to us, after all! he's just a little unique in how he takes care of things, but he does. that's why I think there's a lot of potential to explore Kakyoin surviving. why the hell are they both so OOC so often though??????? I'm not sure which bothers me more, but I'll probably follow an author to hell if they give me something that feels right. because, let's face it, at the end of the day I WANTED to see this pairing. (I can be superficial too, okay? j/k) it started off in a way I found compelling and just did not continue to deliver - canonically-speaking, anyway. to be continued ▶️
