1) Any house that the adult versions live in? Attics get converted into art studios & at least one portion / area of the basement gets converted into AN OLD SCHOOL DARK ROOM for photography. HEADCANON: the trauma nurse

Anytime someone comes into the ER that is having a side effect of not taking their prescribed medication for, Mary tends to send them home ( oh much to the chagrin of her fellow ER nurses & trauma doctors! ) She knows it's their job to save lives but you can't save stupid if it won't take the medication prescribed to help ( or buffer out the symptoms ) them. She's gotten in trouble with the hospital board of directors a few times, but has never been fired though. She's fully aware of how lucky she is to still have a job, but they've asked her to now ask the walk-ins if they are prescribed any medications/anything meant to help whatever symptoms they are experiencing before sending them out the door ( & she's not allowed to turn away anyone that's come in on an ambulance, she CAN however give that patient to another nurse if they're not too busy ).

( ** PS; Fully aware that in reality a nurse would not be allowed to turn anyone away for this reason - it's fiction & these people not taking their medication like they should be? are putting themselves at greater risk & a lot of times they don't care.

Or worse, you're old enough to know better and all the doctor can do is make it a mere suggestion cause you're old & set in your ways -- it's easier when a patient is younger cause it forms good habits of keeping up with one's health. )

( ** PSS: As the writer, I know this course of action my character took was not the wisest. EVEN SHE WILL ADMIT it wasn't the wisest when confronted about it - by any other character in the medical field that crosses her path. )

Mary has been HIGHLY SKEPTICAL that a higher power has ever existed at all since she was 15 years old. Definitely stems from not having a choice of whether or not she wanted to even go to church, being made to attend on her birthday ( in roman catholicism, August 15th is also the Feast of the Assumption ) for many years. Having to attend CCD ( Confraternity of Christian Doctrine ) after school and for like three years in the basement of the church. She just DIDN'T SEE any actual point in it -- even in PRAYER -- when people still got away with terrible things or being terrible to others ( picking on them, bullying them, etc ). BECAUSE PEOPLE MADE CHOICES, THEY HAVE FREE WILL AND NOT EVERYONE HAS TO LIVE WITH CONSEQUENCES OR FEELS ANY GUILT OVER ANYTHING THEY'VE DONE / SAID. He ( or she ) is only sitting idly by, watching those "molded in his/her image" be terrible awful people to one another in numerous ways. And doing absolutely fuck ALL to bother to stop it. So, God doesn't care at all about his/her flock & anyone still believing they'll see their loved ones or be rewarded for anything is N A Ï V E.

( ** from the writer; my view on this in regards to the character is that it's like time travel -- even if you try to go back & change things, there's a paradox fail safe in place that makes sure it won't happen. )

Sometimes, at the start of the day or the end of it - an individual isn't feeling the vibe of anything sexual.
