Which Caboose (AV,CB,BV) would need therapy the most?

AV is fine. And set in his ways anyway, he probably wouldn't even think he needed it. (And also he's no longer around in my headcanon 😔)

I think in my headcanon CB needs it the most...he ran away and tried to forget every bad thing that happened to him and never sat down to process it. He already had some developmental trouble as a kid, and now, he just has trouble seeing reality the same way as an average train.

It's been hard for him to maintain relationships and jobs due to this issue - hopping yards and trying to convince everyone there that he is friendly and there to help. Even if that's not always how he feels.

I'm going to have CB and BV reunite at some point and I think Bee will encourage him to seek help - because BV is trying to be better, and he wants better for his brother too.

It might be a bit of a hassle, but.

yaay i get to explain boose lore :)

AV (OLC CB) - Oldest (by about 10 and 15yrs) but also the shortest. Curly brown hair, shitty mustache. Fun at parties, crude, and the most traditionally masc of the beese (tho he's cheeky about it).

BV (the blue one) - The middle child, also the middlest height. Wavy/curly auburn hair. Kind of a loner, can be very charming, usually wearing at least a billion pieces of jewelry.

CB (the cat boy) - Youngest, surprisingly tall. Blonde hair that's wavy at best. Also kind of a loner, but likes company. Always doing something or napping in the sun. Most chaotic.

The basic gist of their backstory is that they're a relatively normal family until one day when AV visits their parents just abandon them. AV is about 20 at this point, and has no idea how to take care of children, so he tried to just live his normal life, just with two kids. This didn't really work, and after a few years of traveling around, they find a free shed at the Apollo Victoria and settle down.

BV leaves home at about 16 and doesn't come back until he's in his 20s. When CB starts becoming more independent AV starts leaving for longer and longer trips. The house can get very lonely sometimes.

Were/are there times when BV and CB got along with eachother?

Well, the nature of siblings is that it truly does seem like they're fighting all the same, gah, what a pain in the ass, if you touch me one more time I'll murder you in your sleep so on and so forth

But the reality is they are family and do care about each other when things get truly serious. When their parents died, CB was only six, afraid and unsure. He put every ounce of trust in his big brother to make sure things were going to be okay. And honestly, even through the tougher times, they were. Bee always made sure that Ceeb got enough to eat, that he wasn't afraid at night and slept even if there were strange noises outside.

Bee really did have to grow up a lot faster than expected because of this, but he would have done anything to make sure he didn't lose what family he had left.

What was Bee's first thought/reaction when CB was born?

He was very pouty (he was only five years old and didn't want a sibling pfkskaks)

You needed ANOTHER? am I not GOOD ENOUGH?

How would Bee react, if CB threw a tantrum?

Well the thing is, that happened a lot when they were kids, and he would usually get blamed for not just giving CB what he wanted so it wouldn't happen in the first place.

But I mean. CB doesn't really do that as an adult, but if he were to, I guarantee Bee would hardly even acknowledge it "Aren't you going to do something?" "Nah, just let him get it out of his system, he'll be fine."

Wait, what happened to A.V.?

In my caboose family headcanon, AV is CB and BV's Dad, and my OC, Chessie, is their mom.

When they were little, AV and Chessie passed away in a fatal accident. They've been on the run ever since, too afraid of the foster care system at that age.

I don't think I've explained this publicly? Caboose families do not function like normal families do. Whether they love each other is a less important factor in getting together and uh. Making more cabeese.

Of course they usually end up getting along just fine - but it is unheard of for cabeese to be "coupling" with anyone else except another caboose. They're like a dime a dozen type of rolling stock and no one really ever did until my CB & BV parent OC - Chessie the Yellow Caboose. You'll see the backstory of what she did in Neah and I's fic Past Truths Now Revealed. 👀

Top 5 cabeese headcanons (either family ones or singular ones)

My OC Chessie is BV and CB's mom and OLCeeb (AV) is their dad. Bee is the older brother by five years. Cee is the favorite child though.

Chessie and AV died when the kids were still young and they had to make it on their own, too scared of any sort of foster system.

CB insisted on having the top bunk but he moves around a lot in his sleep and fell off a bunch. He no longer had the top bunk after the third middle of the night thump.

CB was the loud, obvious troublemaker and BV was a lot more quiet and a better liar, but still got in trouble more cause he's supposed to be the "older" and "more mature one" - CB obviously wouldn't be causing this much trouble if he just set a good example for him!

An incident occurred (spoilers!) that caused Cee and Bee to grow apart and they still haven't reconciled.

Three childhood headcanons for three little cabeese

AV used to pick out all the marshmallows in Lucky Charms cereal and eat those for breakfast instead of eating the cereal like a normal fucking person

CB was in the little kid in glass who would either eat glue OR spread it all over his hands, wait for it to dry, and then peel it off. It was very satisfying but it resulted in him very much not listening to the lesson and getting sent to time out

BV stole various kindergarten classroom supplies purely because he thought they were neat and wanted them. He had various rocks, markers, pens, blocks, and stickers that he stole and pretended like the teacher just "gave" them to him

Absolutely!

All cabeese are kind of mischievous little troublemakers in their own special ways, that goes without saying! But let's get into the family dynamics here 😈

OLC CB - AV, as we like to call him - is obviously the Dad. He's had his hay days, but he kinda just doesn't let much bother him now, even if the kids are in their prime of being chaotic. Just the tired, Oh CB is dragging a raccoon through the house cause he wants to adopt it? Yeah alright, I'll talk to him.....Buddy, wtf?

CB is THE prankster. He will come up with the weirdest shit to get you with - like genius level pranks. How did he even THINK of that? He's just a little gremlin boy but will also cry if he accidently drops his ice cream because he's still a baby (I also hc him as the younger sibling, so obviously he's going to get a pass on all this.)

BV is the swinde-ly one, he can always talk anyone into doing whatever he wants. This could go from giving a sob story to a fast food worker to get a free meal or charming an old lady out of her precious jewels. He also has the superior slight of hand. Older sibling, is responsible for handling the Ceeb once he's deemed "responsible enough" - which is term used very loosely (though, he is more responsible than CB, for sure)

And I have my OC as their Mom, Chessie, a yellow caboose with long, curly ginger hair. She's....a riot. Very loud and overbearing, but genuinely sweet - as long as you don't cross her. One Look, you know, the Mom Look, can get CB and BV to behave just cause they know the consequences if they don't.

This is a little gift for @neacle because we’ve been talking a lot about backstory for both Elektra and BV. 

And for anyone who might be mildly interested in my backstory for both BV and CB, I have a new series I’m working on! Little snippets of their childhood, teenage years, etc.

behold. some backstory tidbits for the three cabeese. all just my hcs, not really supported in canon in any way lol <3

-Their parents were ok, if a bit careless. Not really ready to have any of the kids that they did.

-AV didn’t really hang out with his brothers, what with him being like 10 years older and preferring to spend weeks away from home traveling.

-But, then their parents just, kind of abandoned them. So AV was forced to become the head of the household at the ripe old age of maybe early 20s.

-CB doesn’t really remember anything about their parents, and feels weird asking.

-BV remembers, but he doesn't understand why their parents left, which has left him a bit frustrated. Bringing them up is still a sore spot for him.

-AV's pretty sure he knows why they left, he's just never told BV or CB because he didn't want them to worry about it.

-Life on their own started out surprisingly fine! It took a while for any of them to learn how to cook actual meals but after that it was (relatively) smooth sailing.

-They all love tinkering with machinery so a lot of family nights were dedicated to trying to figure out how things worked.

-Their home life wasn't perfect however. A lot of frustration in every direction and not a lot of good outlets for it.

-BV left home pretty much as soon as he could, at around 17. Barely kept in contact with his siblings.

-CB never really left? Sometimes he'd be gone for months or he'd spend a lot of nights at other peoples' places but he always came back home.

-BV came back too, eventually. He didn't feel like getting a new place at the yard so he just went back home.
