Anyway, for the formatting - I prefer the non-English word to be written in italics, because that's what's standard in published books. (Brackets are a vestige of the early days of internet fandom, when fanfics were posted to mailing lists and Usenet in text format only, because that's all that could be used at the time - so often *asterisks* or _underscores_ would be used for emphasis, and [brackets] for thoughts and non-English words, and <<other symbols>> surrounding telepathic speech, and so on and so forth. But now that we can use formatting, we should.)

Translation can be done via that hover trick, or put in an author's note at the end of the chapter. Or via clickable footnotes (that's another cool AO3 trick you can google). Or, inline, by the person speaking - no brackets please, just a comma or different sentence, however it makes the most sense. For example:

"Konnichiwa," he said. "Hello."

Or it could be translated by the person who heard the word, if they know the language, translating it in their head or speaking it - again however it makes sense. More examples:

"Konnichiwa," he said. Hello, she knew, and smiled in reply.

"Konnichiwa," he said. "Hello to you too," she replied, smiling.

Now, if you mean a sentence where you're not actually writing out the non-English words, but translating the whole thing, that can be written like:

"We need dark in order to show light. You can't make a mistake," Bob'ross said in Artesian. "Anything that happens you can learn to use - and make something beautiful out of it. You don't have to be crazy to do this but it does help. Imagination is the key to painting."

I have seen professional examples where that whole dialogue section would be italicized. But usually it's left as plain text, so that italics can be used for stressed words, or for other-language words the author prefers to not translate (usually because they've been previously translated within the story, and are that language's name for their ruler, or for a particular food, or kind of weapon, etc).

Though tbqh... if this is fanfic and not an actual pro manuscript, you are free to do what you want, please don't mind me. But this is what I like to see, and do in my own work.

The Jewel Box is an open cluster of just over 100 stars located about 7,000 light years away in the constellation of Crux, the Southern Cross. Although it was discovered by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille (1713-1762) in 1752, it was named the Jewel Box by John Herschel (1792-1871) when he described it as "a superb piece of fancy jewellery." It is best seen during the autumn months in the southern hemisphere.

In chapter 31 after the reality show ends Aqua and Akane are seen at the after party were Aqua and Kaburagi then go outside he tells Aqua if he would like to go eat sushi next week to give some info about Ai. In chapter 33 we see them at the sushi spot talking about Ai , in chapter 34 while there we see he reached out to Mem about a concert that would take place the next month. In chapter 39 the concert ends with Aqua saying him and Akane will meet soon to take pictures. The time between chapter 30 to 40 would be about 5 weeks. In chapter 41 Ruby says it's been 4 months since the concert so now it's been 5 months together. As for the Love Now production in chapter 41 Melt also says how it's been 9 months since the end of Sweet Today and Kaburagi tells Aqua about the reality show the same day Sweet Today ends. For chapters 81 to 94 it's about 6 months. In chapter 81 Mem says how the subscriber count is 360,000 then in chapter 94 Mem says how their subscriber count was around 300,000 six months ago and how its now close to one million(970,000) now and how Ruby's break through in the past half year has been spectacular.

So it would be accurate how you said they dated for 2 years.

I think that I found a way to explain why Naruto is still be able to use Sage Mode and at the same level as before he loses Kurama in the manga/anime. In Chapter 315, Kakashi differentiates between Naruto’s and the Kurama’s chakra, stating that Naruto, an 15 years-old teenager, have four times more chakra than him, an 29 years-old adult, and if Naruto had access to the Kurama’s chakra, it would be 100 times more. (c315, p11) And in Chapter 94, at the age of 12, he had to exhaust his own chakra before he could access Kurama’s chakra. He was continuously training for 21 days. (c94, p4) So I think that's the reason for Naruto, now a 32 years-old adult, is still being able to prevent any toad features and use Sage Mode at the same level as before he loses Kurama, it's because even without the bijuu, he still naturally have great chakra reserves. I am really trying making the manga of Boruto make sense, because sometimes, I become really confused about somethings.

Naruto has been using Sage Mode for over 15 years it's just normal that he can control it even without Kurama. Maintaining it for longer periods is also due to that training.
