cy sighed and looked at the kitten. the little thing was too cute, he couldn’t just leave it… “i can take it for a while, maybe my sister would want it, or one of the patrons at the bar.” he thought out loud, even while he was scared he’d get too attached and want to keep it. “thank you for helping me calming it down. poor thing looked so scared. can i get you a drink or food at the bar as a thank you?”

"Oh how beautiful" and not quite what she had been expecting to see today. "I don't know if that would be fair in my flat, it isn't that big" and her head was all over the place as well, she didn't know how she could look after another living being when she wasn't sure she could look after herself. "I think they like attention, though they are adorable" she replied, though giving the cat the attention they wanted, least it was purring.

“i do.” cyparissius nodded towards his deer, grazing a bit away from where they were. “i’m more of a deer guy myself. are you looking for a pet?” he asked the other, scratching the cat’s ears before it shifted away from him and over to the other. “i think he??? or she??? likes you.”

It hadn't been what she was expecting him to say, but it was a nice surprise. And of course, seeing happy animals always did cheer her up a little, perhaps that was what she needed. Maybe there was an animal shelter around here she could volunteer at, take her mind off what was going on. "Oh they're adorable" and a reminder that things really weren't so bad. "Do you have pets?"
