Honestly, if anybody is an NPC that's been brought into the circus, it's probably Kinger. Despite being presumably kind of insane and him being there the longest out of anybody, Kinger hasn't abstracted at all. He's got a slow reaction time and trouble remembering things like that of an older computer program, but has moments of clarity like his programming is finally coming through. He's also the only character with a pair- it could be possible that Queenie is a human (given that she's implied to be abstracted) and Kinger is an NPC she brought with from an adventure and Caine lost track of him being an NPC and a Human.

rock 'n roll star finds lots of fans
the province vancouver, british columbia, canada monday, may 25, 1959
kamloops (cp)—teen-age rock 'n' roll recording star eddie cochran found he had hundreds of fans here. but not until a show and dance scheduled for the interior city had been cancelled by his agent.
cochran arrived to find the show cancelled because ticket sales were not up to an agent's expectations.
hundreds of teen-agers milled in the street outside his hotel chanting "we want eddie."
two extra policemen were called out to control the crowd, although the demonstration was orderly.
later cochran made a dash by taxi to the kamloops radio station and apologized in an air interview for the cancellation. he then returned by taxi to the hotel and began signing autographs and records.
cochran's hit records include sitting in the balcony, and come on everybody, he also appeared in the movie johnny melody [go, johnny, go!].
