"Maybe you're right-" But at the same time it quickly disspated. The harrowing thoughts of them being disappointed in him conquering his mind. "But I'm still need some control ." He slapped his knee. "Can't let the fates feel too comfortable with my destiny." He said attempting at some humor.

"Hate to break it to you but you're not going to get that here," he replied, not wanting the other to be obsessed with what happens to their credibility outside the door. "You can't always get what you want, it's a risk you have to take"

Bonnie fans are so misunderstood I wish more people “got” us.

No one understands us like each other and other fans who are capable of critical-thinking skills to see we aren’t being harmful in our thoughts. We don’t ask for anything but respect and to be left alone. We never will be respected by people who don’t want to respect us. It’s sad, but sometimes you have to persevere! Don’t try to make them understand you and just be great. I promise there’s more rewards in remaining yourself than to lessen your presence in fandom! Some people want you to lessen your engagements to make them comfortable and you should never do that!

There’s two posts on here I’ll use as examples for being misunderstood and what you should do! One more recent than the other I’ll describe. Not tagging each as OP’s don’t deserve hate. Just gonna describe them if you get it you get it. One criticized fans labeling them “scary” and acted like we were villains for explaining why that was rude. The other the OP just shared their disdain for Bonnie’s ships while praising Bonenzo and furthering discussions with someone in their replies just not understanding any of us really. It’s a huge issue if Bonnie is paired with toxicity but never a problem for their favorite characters or ships. Completely ignoring that Bonenzo only happened to give Enzo a plotline, and the fact that it was to prove that Bonnie doesn’t deserve a leading male as Bamon was baited! Kat herself didn’t know they were happening back then.

Enzo wasn’t even a fully developed character, there was no discussion on how he too abused Bonnie and if Bonnie is willing to date someone who abused her like Enzo then what was the issue with Nora, Damon, Klaus, Kai, and Kol? There was none they just don’t see Bonnie as deserving. She’s too good for everyone thus limiting her desirability and even sexuality. All of these women were too good but that didn’t stop further relationships! Some had multiple seasons mind you, and that users favorite ship has many years of content with arguably one of the most abusive characters lol.

I simply can’t take criticisms from users seriously who do nothing for Bonnie beyond criticizing her fanbase on how they choose to engage. I don’t think you should either! In fact, grow from the bullshit! Create the content! Write the meta. Write the fic! Have fun! You are just as valid as anyone else here!

I say all of this as one of the few people who were stalked & harassed by a fan for nearly a year and a half. Be yourself and don’t limit anything! There’s someone that’s gonna enjoy what you have to say and understand you.

Christmas Night

Emilia had been extremely distant with Enzo and Andre in the days since the masquerade. For separate reasons, to be fair, but anger all the same. In truth, that was what most of her strong emotions built into at least for a brief time.

So when she found the present from Enzo left on her bed upon returning from her visit to Natalia and her seethe siblings, she found herself softening a bit. The jewelry box was clearly vintage, and in mint condition, with the dainty ballerina in it still able to twirl as the faint trill of a song from swan lake played. It was gorgeous as it was precious, and she'd made it the centerpiece of her bedside table for just that reason.

And somewhere in that small act she'd decided it was time to quit avoiding him. She convinced herself that she could be calm, that she could maybe even avoid an argument with him for nearly getting himself killed. But then again, she could never be too certain.

In any case, she was now standing outside of his room, gently knocking at the door.

After the chaos from the hurricane had finally calmed down and repairs within the city limits were close to being complete, Mari found herself without much to do. She'd been sitting around for an hour or so trying to write, but the words wouldn't come, and as she felt a soft breeze blow through her hair she knew immediately where she wanted to be. It was a beautiful day for a bike ride and she had a new burnt cd (yes, she still made them for a select few) to deliver, so without adding much though to it, the brunette grabbed the purple CD case and took off for her friend's place.

"Lorenzooo!" She called out in a sing-song voice, extending the o at the end of his name for a couple extra syllables, as she walked through the side door to his garage like she had a handful of times before. "I'm ready for my ride!" There was playful grin on her features as she continued, "And I have a surprise for—" Her words were cut short when she saw that Enzo wasn't alone in his garage, Mari's cheeks tinting a light shade of pink when everyone turned to look at her and the realization that she'd just interrupted something washed over her. "—you." She finished her previous sentence quietly, biting on her lower lip to stifle a nervous giggle as she waved at the men she didn't recognize. "Sorry, darlin'. I didn't realize you had company. Probably should have called first, huh?"

He'd had his fair share of adults walk into his classroom, wondering why their child wasn't doing well in what could only be described as one of the more challenging math classes Wardwell had. Jake knew he was a good teacher, but there would always be a few that took a bit longer to grasp certain concepts, and there was only so much he could do on his end. Making his way out of the academy, he finds himself heading in the direction of a prime example. Enzo's nephew shouldn't have been put in a high intensity math course to begin with, Jake recommending to both the family and administration that he return to the basics. And of course, one party didn't like his solution. Enzo just happened to be in the direction of his car, and as much as Jake has always been a nice guy, he wasn't a pushover. "Excuse me," he said politely, a long day of work causing him to want nothing more than go home.

Clearly they were both satisfied and in agreement which was really the best end for this kind of encounter. Roland dropped his arms when Enzo began to move away and grinned. "Very true. I can hardly help it when you look, feel, and taste so good." He kissed back, still smiling, then nodded. "Of course." They'd taken up quite a bit of each other's time and while Roland never minded if his guests lingered he also never wanted to hold them when they would rather leave.

They finished the shower soon enough and Roland slipped into one of his comfortable robes. He smoked and watched Enzo get dressed then saw him to the door with a last parting kiss, very pleased with how that had gone and their future plans. It was like having Raphael's good looks without all the annoying personality that went along with him. Perfect.
