Anthony Edward Stark

My main verse for Tony is largely tied into @spideystark​ & @couldvestarked​ (even tho Noodle hasn't been active there for awhile, still tied in there bc I'm petty)

Tony’s story is much the same as it is in Canon, with the exception of Peter being his son and being a large part of his life well keeping his relation to him secret from the general public so as to keep him out of the spotlight of the press. Having dealt with that when he was young, he wanted to avoid his son having to deal with it for as long as possible. It became harder when he was older, and so the lie of Peter winning a contest that got him a spot as an intern at Stark Industries was created to allow them to have an excuse if spotted together in public.

After people were snapped away and lists of the lost started to be made public? The world learned the truth of Peter being Tony Stark’s son, and many started to suspect that maybe he was the spider themed hero that Iron Man had taken under his wing and become a mentor to-though that wasn’t confirmed until Mysterio’s video was released.

During the 5 year blip soon after Morgan was born whispers and gossip began circulating about a woman claiming to have given birth to his son, he knew that he hadn’t been unfaithful to Pepper but that didn’t mean that he was just going to let the rumors go. It wasn’t until about 6 months before he was approached about the time travel plan that he managed to find Maxine and Harper Maxwell, he immediately had his legal team push for a DNA test and he brought her to court for parental rights. It wasn’t until after he lost his arm in the Battle or Earth though that his people managed to do enough digging to learn the truth of Harpers conception, and he sued both for full custody and to get Maxine locked away.

It wasn’t until after this that he learned about the experiments that Maxine had been doing on her own child-his child. He was appalled and swore he’d figure out everything that was done and do whatever he could to try and make sure Harper lived a happy life that he tried to make sure his other kids had, whatever that might look like for him. During this time he was also getting used to the new mechanical arm that had been fitted for him, and trying to mitigate the presses interest in Peter now that they knew who he was well also talking to him about whether or not he wanted the world to know that he was Spider-Man.

The original plan that they had come up with was to keep it secret until after he graduated from College and let Peter go forward with his plan to change his hero name to The Iron Spider, however when it was revealed before they were ready Tony and Pepper got ahead of it with a press conference followed by an interview with Peter and a reporter that they at least somewhat trusted to allow him to make the announcement himself.

In which the reader (fem or gender neutral) gets hurt to protect them (or the reader got hurt taking a blow which was meant for them), and is dying.

~Peter Parker~

Peter cradled s/o's broken body in his arms, his mind reeling in horror and despair. Just moments ago, they had been fighting side-by-side against the villain's henchmen. But in a cruel twist of fate, s/o had jumped in front of Peter to shield him from a powerful energy blast at the last second. Now she lay dying from catastrophic wounds, her breaths coming in short, pained gasps.

"No, no, no… s/o, stay with me, please," Peter begged, tears streaming down his face as he held her close. His voice cracked with anguish. "Why did you do that? I'm Spider-Man, I have powers, I could have…"

"I had to…" S/o whispered weakly, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. "I couldn't let you die… I love you, Peter."

"I love you too. More than anything. You can't leave me, not like this!" Peter sobbed. His mind raced desperately, trying to think of some way, any way to save her. But deep down, he knew it was too late. Her injuries were too severe.

S/o's eyes fluttered as she struggled to focus on Peter's grief-stricken face one last time. "I'm sorry… Take care of yourself and stay strong… for me…"

With those final words, s/o went limp in Peter's arms, the light fading from her eyes as her spirit left her body. An anguished, inhuman howl of misery tore from Peter's throat. He hugged s/o's lifeless form to his chest, rocking back and forth as he wept uncontrollably.

His beloved s/o, the person he cherished most in this world, had sacrificed herself to save him. Devastation overwhelmed Peter, along with crushing guilt. He should have been faster, should have protected her. What good were his powers if he couldn't even keep the woman he loved safe?

As he knelt there in the wreckage, shattered by grief and loss, Peter silently vowed that s/o's death would not be in vain. He would keep fighting to protect others, no matter the cost. He owed her that much. Even as his heart lay in pieces, he would honor s/o's memory by being the hero she always believed him to be.

~Tony Stark~

Tony cradles s/o's broken body in his arms, the chaos of the battle still raging around them. Her breaths come in short, pained gasps as blood seeps through her torn tactical suit.

"No no no, stay with me baby, stay with me," Tony pleads desperately, voice cracking with emotion. He brushes her hair back from her ashen face with a shaking hand.

S/o weakly reaches up to grasp his hand. "T-Tony…"

"Shh, don't try to talk. Save your strength. I'm gonna get you out of here, you're going to be okay…" But even as the words leave his mouth, Tony knows they ring hollow. Her injuries are too severe.

Tears stream down his face as the horrible realization sinks in - she sacrificed herself to save him. Jumped in front of that blast meant for him without hesitation. And now the woman he loves is dying in his arms because of it.

"I-I had to… c-couldn't let you die…" s/o whispers, life quickly fading from her eyes.

"You shouldn't have done that! Not for me. God, not for me…" Tony's body shakes with sobs, cradling her close. "Please… I can't lose you…"

With the last of her strength, s/o reaches up to touch his face. "I love you…"

Then her hand falls limply to the ground as she breathes her last. Tony lets out an anguished cry, burying his face against her neck as grief consumes him. She's gone. And it's his fault.

The profound guilt, devastation and self-loathing would haunt Tony deeply. Blaming himself for not protecting her, for once again failing someone he loved most. Her death saving his life would weigh heavily on his soul, tormenting him endlessly. The sacrifice of his beloved s/o would break something fundamental inside Tony and leave scars that would never fully heal.

~Natasha Romanoff~

Natasha cradles s/o gently, a look of anguish on her face as she sees the severity of s/o's wounds. "Why did you do that?" she asks softly, her voice trembling slightly. "You shouldn't have…"

S/o manages a weak smile. "I couldn't let you get hurt. Not when I could do something about it." She winces in pain.

Natasha shakes her head, fighting back tears. "You brave, stubborn woman. Always putting others first." Despite the direness of the situation, there's a note of pride and deep affection in Natasha's voice.

She holds s/o closer, stroking her hair soothingly. "Just stay with me, okay? Help is coming. You're going to be alright."

S/o's breathing is growing shallower. "Nat… I need you to know… meeting you, loving you… it's been the best part of my life. You made me so happy…"

A tear slips down Natasha's cheek as she presses her forehead to s/o's. "Don't talk like that. Don't you dare say goodbye," she whispers fiercely. "You're my heart, s/o. I can't do this without you."

"You're the strongest person I know," s/o murmurs. "You'll be okay. I love you so much…" Her eyes flutter closed.

"No, no, no, stay with me!" Natasha pleads desperately. "I love you too. More than anything. I can't lose you!"

She holds s/o tightly as the sound of the medevac approaches, silently praying to anyone who will listen to let her love survive this. In this moment, the Black Widow facade is gone - there is only a woman terrified of losing the most precious thing in her world. All of her walls have crumbled, revealing the deeply vulnerable, human side of her that s/o alone was privileged to know.

It's a poignant, heartwrenching scene, illustrating the depth of love and raw, aching humanity beneath Natasha's guarded exterior. Her s/o means everything to her.

~Steve Rogers~

Steve would be utterly distraught seeing his beloved S/O gravely injured and dying in his arms, especially knowing she sacrificed herself to protect him. As she lay there growing weaker, he would cradle her gently, his blue eyes filled with anguish and glistening with tears he's struggling to hold back.

"Stay with me, please. Don't leave me," he would plead desperately, his normally steady voice breaking. The thought of losing her would be unbearable to him.

Ever the soldier, he would call urgently for medical help, putting pressure on her wound to slow the bleeding, refusing to give up. But he would also take her hand and stroke her face tenderly, wanting her to feel his presence and love in what could be their final moments together.

"You're going to be alright, just hold on," he would say, even as the life fades from her eyes. "I love you so much. I can't do this without you."

As she drew her last breaths, he would hold her close and whisper softly to her. "It's okay. You can rest now. I've got you."

Even if help arrived too late, he would refuse to let her go, rocking her in his arms as sobs overtook his body. The guilt and grief would threaten to consume him. He would forever remember her final act of love and carry it with him always, even as he struggled to imagine a life without her by his side. The woman he loved, his partner and soulmate, gone in an instant… it would shake him to his core and leave him a broken man.

~Loki~

Loki cradles s/o's weakening body in his arms, green eyes wide with shock and anguish as he takes in her grave injury. The chaos of battle fades into the background as his entire focus narrows to the woman he loves, her life force fading by the second.

"No, no, no…" he mutters in disbelief and growing despair. "S/o, why did you do that? Why would you sacrifice yourself for me?" His normally smooth voice cracks with raw emotion.

S/o manages a pained smile up at him, raising a trembling hand to caress his pale cheek. "Because I love you, Loki. I couldn't bear to see you hurt."

Loki shakes his head, tears welling in his eyes and spilling down his face. "You foolish, beautiful, brave woman. I never deserved your love, your loyalty." He pulls her closer, burying his face in her hair.

"I'd make the same choice again," s/o whispers. "I regret nothing… except leaving you." Her breathing grows shallower, more labored.

"Don't you dare leave me!" Loki commands desperately, his slender frame shaking with repressed sobs. "Stay with me, love. I can heal you, I can fix this!" His hands glow with seidr as he frantically tries to knit her grievous wounds back together.

But the damage is too extensive. s/o weakly grips his wrist, stilling his movements. "No, my darling. We both know… it's too late for me."

"You can't go," Loki pleads brokenly, his heart shattering. "I need you. I've lost so much already…"

With the last of her waning strength, s/o pulls his head down and presses a tender kiss to his lips. "I'll always be with you, Loki. In your memories, in your heart." Her voice is fading, her skin growing cold. "Promise me…you'll keep living. Keep fighting for good."

"I promise," Loki chokes out. "I love you, s/o. More than anything."

She smiles serenely as the light leaves her eyes. "And I love you…always."

S/o goes limp in his arms, and Loki unleashes an anguished, grief-stricken scream, his magic exploding out of him in uncontrolled waves. The battle turns in his favor as he cuts down enemies in a berserk rage, tears streaming down his face.

When the last foe falls, Loki collapses beside s/o's body, gathering her into his arms once more as he weeps, desolate and heartbroken without her. He knows he'll have to find a way to carry on, to honor her memory and sacrifice. But for now, all he can do is grieve the loss of his soulmate and vow vengeance on those responsible.

🎄 Starbula Christmas headcanons! 🎄

Over the past few weeks, I���ve had fun imagining how the first Christmas after Peter’s return to earth would go. The below headcanon scenario that has resulted is extremely self-indulgent and Starbula-pining-filled. (Mutual pining is just 😩🤌) And in the spirit of holiday giving, I figured I’d share it!

Background:

It’s been about eight months since Peter returned to earth, since I’m guessing GOTG3 took place in early spring. Since then, the Guardians/Nebula/Drax and Peter have visited each other at least a few times, and everyone has settled into their new lives.

For Peter, it's been an amazing, healing eight months - reconnecting with his grandpa, finally accepting Gamora’s death and moving on, and generally working on himself. He’s stopped drinking and is trying to get his GED (which is fairly time-consuming, since he hasn’t had any formal schooling since third grade lmao).

Peter eventually starts to notice that he's been missing/thinking about Nebula more than his other friends on Knowhere. This slow realization takes a sharp turn in the fall, when Nebula comes to earth for Morgan’s birthday party and stops by Missouri to visit him beforehand. Peter ends up tagging along to the birthday party, and while watching Nebula interact with Morgan, he starts to see her in a new light. You can just read Accidentally in Love for the gist of that headcanon...as I'm obsessed with that fic lol 🙃 And yes, I adore the idea of Nebula basically being an adopted member of the Stark family, continuing even after Tony's death.

Anyway, it’s been a little over a month since Peter started realizing he might have feelings for Nebula. He plans to never tell her, since he figures there’s no way she feels the same for him, and their friendship means too much to him to screw up by confessing his feelings. Little does he know that Nebula has been in love with him for over a year, having developed a crush while they were co-leading the Guardians together. She also plans to never tell him how she feels, knowing there was no way he’d ever see her that way - and also feeling guilty/angry at herself for falling for her dead sister’s boyfriend.

So generally, there’s lots of pining afoot... all of which sets the stage for Christmas! 🎄🎉

🎅 Pre-Christmas:

Sometime in the fall, Peter invites everyone to Jason’s house for Christmas, excited to have his whole family together for the holidays. Nebula, Drax, Groot, Rocket, Kraglin, and Cosmo plan to come, and even Mantis agrees to take a break from her travels to join. 

Beforehand, they agree to do a Secret Santa gift exchange instead of getting individual gifts for everyone. They have a group Zoom call (or whatever the space-technology equivalent is) to anonymously assign who will get gifts for whom.

It’s meant to be a surprise, but Kraglin blows it when he excitedly shouts out "Yes!! I wanted Nebula!" after drawing her name. This immediately makes Peter jealous and suspicious. What is going on between Kraglin and Nebula back on Knowhere?! [Answer: Nothing, of course. This will pay off later...and I think Nebula deserves to have someone be jealous over her, after a lifetime being jealous of Gamora… 🙃]

As the holidays get closer, Peter also mentions to Nebula that since the Starks are basically her family (which he got to observe at Morgan’s birthday party), Pepper and Morgan are invited as well. He mentions that Gamora is welcome too, since she’s also Nebula's family, though he doubts she'd want to join. This makes Nebula a bit jealous, incorrectly assuming that Peter must not be over Gamora after all - and in fact, must be trying to use the Christmas party to finally win her over.

Now both of these idiots are both pining and jealous. Delicious 😂

🎁 Christmas Day:

In the early afternoon on Christmas Day, the Knowhere residents and Mantis arrive at Jason’s home, which, thanks to Peter, is decorated to the brim for the holidays. Peter excitedly welcomes them all inside, clearly loving the opportunity to help his grandparents host. Nebula almost immediately wants to die from cuteness as she watches Peter run around, helping his grandparents in the kitchen and making sure everyone is having a nice time, and generally being an adorable host.

Soon afterward, Pepper and Morgan, then Gamora (to everyone's surprise!) arrive. When everyone's settled, all the cute Christmas things commence: cookie decorating, a snowball fight with Morgan demanding to be on Nebula’s team, a big family meal, etc. Basically any cute Christmas things you can think of. The house is crammed full with all the guests, loud and chaotic and full of laughter and Christmas music blasting. At one point, Jason Quill excuses himself to the bathroom to cry a little bit, overwhelmed as he realizes how much his life has changed since last year’s quiet, lonely Christmas. 🥺

At some point, Kevin Bacon even shows up to join the festivities, since Mantis had invited him as a surprise. I love the idea that it becomes a tradition that the Guardians/Kevin Bacon always visit each other on Christmas, even if it’s just stopping by to say hi. This also probably causes another private emotional breakdown for Jason Quill: it's hard to fathom how compared with Christmas last year, not only is his long-lost grandson alive and back home, but his home is now packed with aliens and a famous movie star. Seriously, what is his life?

In fact, I'm sure at some point in the party, Jason gets so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that he pulls Peter into a tight embrace, quietly crying into his hair. 🥺 Neither of them say anything - they both understand, and just hug each other, in awe of the fact that throughout all of the grief, loss, and years apart, they've found their way to this incredible new life and family together. Ugghhh I'm emotional thinking about it.

At one point during the afternoon, Peter mentions that once it’s dark outside, he wants to go for a drive to see the Christmas lights in the fancy neighborhood nearby; he’s heard it’s fun to see the big houses lit up. Everyone’s pretty noncommittal about it, but Nebula shrugs and says sure, she's in. Peter doesn't need to know that she'd literally watch paint dry if it was with him and was something that made him happy...

Speaking of which, throughout the entire afternoon, Peter has found himself subconsciously gravitating toward Nebula. They sit next to each other at the big Christmas dinner, constantly banter during the holiday group games, etc. Neither think much of it, since they’re both close friends and have missed spending time with each other - but almost everyone else notices. And Peter isn’t exactly a subtle person when it comes to his feelings.

One of those people is Gamora. She thinks back to her words from back on the Orgoscope, that the person best suited for Peter sounds more like her sister... She decides to corner Peter and bring it up at some point, walking up to him as he's washing dishes in the kitchen and blurting, “So, you and Nebula, huh?” Peter is flustered and tries to play dumb. But when Gamora won’t let it go, he admits in a low voice that maybe he has feelings for Nebula, but he can’t mess up their friendship. It’s too important to him - she is too important to him. 

Gamora laughs at him, but also recognizes that he's clearly agitated about it all. Nebula must matter quite a lot to him. She decides to throw Peter a bone, saying that, "just in case it's helpful," she thinks her alternate self would probably be okay with this - she thinks other-Gamora would be happy to know that the people she loves the most would find happiness with each other. Because she can see Peter and Nebula clearly make each other happy. Peter is taken aback, but can't deny that he appreciates Gamora's words.

While they're talking, Nebula hears Gamora's laughter and turns to spot Peter and Gamora quietly talking in the kitchen. She can't stop the pang of disappointment and jealousy that rises up within her, again, and is immediately annoyed at herself. Of course this is what would happen. It’s fine. In fact, it’s what should happen. Even if she’d thought Peter accepting Gamora’s death and moving on was a good thing, this is better. It must be. After all, Nebula just wants Peter to be happy, and this will make him happy. She supposes that Peter and Gamora really are destined to be together, no matter what. Nebula sighs and tries to turn her attention back to the party.

But to Nebula's surprise, when Peter and Gamora end their conversation and leave the kitchen, there’s no real change in their behavior. They don’t spend extra time together, or flirt, or anything. It’s all very casual and fun-group-vibes between them. In fact, Peter instead almost immediately returns to hanging out by Nebula’s side, sitting next to her on the couch for present-opening and offering to get her a refill on eggnog at one point. Rocket notices and mockingly waves his mug at Peter: “And how come you’re not offering me more eggnog, too, Quill?” He enjoys watching how easily he can fluster Peter now, watching him immediately turn pink and bite out a retort - something about Nebula working hard to lead Knowhere and deserving a break at least for today - as he walks away with her mug.

For Nebula's part, she loves having Peter close and having his attention throughout the evening, but also tries to remind herself that it doesn’t actually mean anything. He's just a good friend, which she's grateful for.

When it’s time to open presents, everyone receives their wrapped Secret Santa gift and takes turns opening them up. Before they start, Nebula pulls out additional gifts for her invited guests - Morgan, Pepper, and Gamora - as well as a shared gift for Jason and Peter’s step-grandma, since none of them were part of the Guardians’ gift exchange. After Pepper exclaims, "Nebula, you didn't have to do this!" Nebula quietly mumbles that she didn’t want anyone to feel left out. Peter, of course, can hardly contain his adoration at seeing how thoughtful and considerate Nebula is. He already knew how much she'd changed and grown from the angry, bitter assassin he'd first met so many years ago - but sometimes, it still could take his breath away to stop and notice it.

Once it's Nebula’s turn to open her Secret Santa gift, it turns out to be a winter hat and necklace (referencing Kraglin's line in GOTG2: "I was talking about, like, a pretty necklace. Or a nice hat. You know. Something to make the other girls go "Ooh, that's nice." 😆) Nebula immediately bursts into surprised laughter, finally realizing why Kraglin was so excited to get her a gift. She can’t believe he remembered a throwaway line from nearly twelve years ago, essentially creating the longest-payoff joke ever. Peter is, of course, once again filled with jealousy watching the two of them laugh together, wishing more than anything that he’d been assigned to get Nebula’s gift. He would have gotten her something so much better than stupid Kraglin… 

Later in the evening, after everyone is tired from all the festivities and food, Pepper says it’s time to get Morgan to bed. Kevin Bacon and Gamora say they’ll head out too. As they get coats on and head for the door, Nebula observes the goodbye between Peter and Gamora (trying not to make it obvious that she’s doing so) and, to her surprise, observes that it’s quite casual. Peter doesn’t seem broken up to say goodbye to Gamora at all. That’s…strange. 

🎄 Christmas night:

After the non-Knowhere guests leave, everyone else finds their way to the couches to watch a Christmas movie (probably Elf because it’s my favorite 🥺). Once the movie ends, Peter jumps off the couch and excitedly asks who’s still up for driving around to see the Christmas lights, now that it’s sufficiently dark outside. Nebula nods and gets up, too.

However, over the evening, as more people observed Peter and Nebula dancing around each other, it became an unspoken agreement that no one else would join this nighttime drive and would instead give the two some time alone. So everyone shrugs off Peter's idea, saying they’re too tired and would rather stay in and watch another Christmas movie. Drax nearly messes it up, forgetting the plan and exclaiming, “Oh yes, I shall join you, in search of another little funny man to -” only to be shushed by Mantis and yanked back to the couch. Peter shrugs, “Whatever, your loss for all being lame.” He and Nebula start to get bundled up to go outside, with Nebula putting on her new winter hat, of course.

Starting here, Nebula and Peter’s late-night driving adventure follows the first verse of “You Are In Love” (which is such an amazing Starbula song 😭)...like basically word for word. So I recommend pausing to listen to it first lol.

They get into Peter’s car and decide to stop by a coffee shop drive-thru to get some festive drink for the road (again, cue the “YAIL” first verse 🤡). Peter and Nebula then have a magical time driving around and looking at the Christmas lights. A snowstorm begins at some point, adding to the lovely holiday vibes. Peter decides to park the car so they can walk around in the snowstorm, shoulders brushing as they look up at the lights and the snow gently falling around them. It’s basically Hallmark-movie perfect…and once again…cue the “YAIL” first verse lyrics 😆

And because I think it sounds adorable, at some point they both get hungry and can only find one local restaurant that’s open at midnight on Christmas. Maybe a Chinese place? Or a 24-hour diner?

For Nebula, this whole night is basically heaven. She’s never been on a date (nor does she expect to ever do so), and she knows this isn’t actually one, but still. It’s as close to a perfect night as she’s ever had: sitting in a cheap restaurant booth with the man she's in love with, laughing while they both try - and fail - to eat their Chinese food with chopsticks. No missions or responsibilities, no drunken Peter, no other Guardians around. Just the two of them having fun together. Is this what it’s like to be on a date with someone you love? Nebula wonders. She tries to cherish every moment, knowing she’ll likely never get this opportunity again.

Peter is feeling basically the same thing, except he does know what it’s like to go on a date with someone you love, and he knows that this feels like that. He wishes he could be brave enough to try to hold Nebula’s hand, or do something to hint at his feelings - but he can’t risk ruining this perfect night. So he keeps his feelings quiet, just enjoying time with the woman who, against all odds, has become his closest friend and the person he loves (and he does admit it to himself that night - that not only does he have feelings for Nebula, but he loves her. It’s both a scary and exhilarating realization).

Peter drives them back to Jason’s house around 1 am. Once inside, they find the living room empty, with a note on the table saying, “We headed back to Knowhere in Mantis’ ship. See you guys later. Merry Christmas.” The keys to the pod that the Knowhere crew had flown to get to earth (which was parked, invisible, on the Quill's front lawn) were left on top of the note for Nebula.

Peter exclaims, outraged: “Wait, they ditched us?! On Christmas?!" Nebula laughs and starts to say she can also get out of his hair and head back to Knowhere too, since it's late, but Peter interjects: “Wait, what about watching [some movie he'd told her about earlier in the day]?” Nebula doesn’t have to be told twice - if Peter wants her to stay and to continue hanging out, she’ll do it as long as she can. She hardly ever takes time off from running Knowhere, after all.

Peter grabs Nebula one of his t-shirts to change into, so they can both get comfortable on the couch for the movie. Which, yes, is another line from “YAIL." 🤣 Exhausted from the full day, they both end up falling asleep during the movie.

🎅 Post-Christmas morning:

When Jason walks into the living room the next morning, he gets a kick out of seeing these two losers sleeping next to each other on the couch. He internally makes a bet that they’ll be dating by the summer. (Little does he know that their mutual pining will continue for nearly another whole year, even after Peter finally gets his GED and moves back to Knowhere to help Nebula run the city.)

When Nebula wakes up, she’s embarrassed to have fallen asleep on the couch, assuming she's definitely overstayed her welcome by now, but Peter and his grandparents insist they’re glad she’s stayed over. They also insist that she stays for breakfast and to do some kind of post-Christmas family tradition. Maybe Peter's grandparents make some special day-after-Christmas breakfast every year, idk. 

Nebula ends up staying through the afternoon, maybe even helping Peter study for his GED (even though she doesn’t know much more about earth than he does), and Peter's grandparents are totally charmed by her. This is nice foreshadowing for whenever Peter and Nebula finally get together, the four of them will have a lot of family time like this. :’)

When Nebula finally heads back to Knowhere that evening, she and Peter have an extremely drawn-out and awkward goodbye at the front door, neither wanting to end this time together. Peter’s grandparents get a kick out of observing it all, including how Peter longingly stares after Nebula as she gets into the invisible ship - and how he continues to stare at the sky, even though he can't see her fly away.

And over the next few weeks/months until they see each other again, whenever Peter and Nebula miss each other (which is often!), they both comfort themselves by remembering their magical Christmas in Missouri together. 🥺🥲

Soooooo there’s my Starbula-pining-filled headcanon about the first Christmas after GOTG3! Nothing groundbreaking here, but I really do think something like this would be realistic in post-GOTG3 canon. Like, how could Peter not invite his Knowhere family to celebrate Christmas with his grandparents? And since nothing will ever stop me from headcanoning that Peter eventually develops/realizes his feelings for Nebula after returning to earth, this additional Starbula stuff also fits right in.

Anyway, this scenario was very fun to imagine 🥰 And I hope it was fun to read!

Aww Katya! I love her so much so thank you for asking and getting my brain juices flowing! Hehe

Katya is as smart-assed as her father when she’s comfortable around you. As soon as she feels like she can let her guard down around you she quickly becomes the most sarcastic one out of the bunch! She’s also very opinionated like her mother, you will know if she doesn’t like you. (Although that’s rare, because she’s genuinely a pretty laid back person.)

She gave a kid a black eye at the age of eight, which greatly alarmed Clint who was fully prepared to give her a stern talking to. His rehearsed I’m disappointed in you talk however flew right out the window upon the news that the kid with the black eye was also the ring leader of a group of bullies. A group of bullies that were harassing Katya’s new friend Daisy, a deaf child. Once the principal told him that, Clint shrugged his shoulders and told the principal, “Actually I think my daughter is the one who deserves the apology for having to do your job for you! And I deserve an apology for you wasting my gas, Principal Townsend!”

Katya later asked him, after a pit stop for some ice cream, why some kids were mean to those who couldn’t defend themselves.

“Sometimes it’s because at home they can’t defend themselves so they take it out on other people. They think it makes them feel better.”

“But that’s stupid, daddy.”

“Yeah, it is stupid ain’t it? If you promise not to tell mommy, do you wanna do something fun with daddy tonight?”

Later that night on a secret spy mission with daddy Katya learned that the bully, little Kevin Granger, couldn’t defend himself at home. She also believed that her daddy was a hero for real that night and that there were far scarier monsters than aliens in New York. Mommy was NOT happy with daddy when they got home.

Katya almost caused an international incident when she went on a ski trip to Finland. Having grown up around little influences of Russia via her mother’s heritage Katya was insanely curious about her maternal country. Natasha, however forbade her from ever visiting, and discouraged her at every turn to learn more out of fear that someone or perhaps the Russian state might kidnap her for testing or training. Katya was after all the daughter of a Widow. So, when Katya and her friends have some free time, Katya ever so carefully persuades her friends into a quick in and out trip next door. “Come on! They won’t even find out! I just want to see it! Please!!”

They make it in just fine and are visiting St, Petersburg Square when she gets the FaceTime call from her mother. It all goes to shit shortly after that. Katya tries to hide her surroundings with the help of all of her friends hoodies dumped over her head, but the call quality is shit and all Natasha sees is Katya’s slightly alarmed face with what looks like a black bag over her head. Then Natasha hears Russian voices in the background and the call cuts out. (Russian police had started to approach them to question what they are doing and spooked Katya. She jolts and her phone flies out of her hand and skids right into a rainwater drainage grate!!)

Tony stark nearly kicks off WW3 (Russia had restricted their air space, because of course they would!) Clint severely injuries eight police officers and one train conductor. And Nat, well…Nat slaps her daughter across the face for the first and only time in her life. It was intense and a very fraught time for the Barton-Romanoff family. It’s after this entire mortifying fiasco that Katya learns what exactly her fearless mother fears the most in the world. Ultimately it brings Katya closer to understanding her mother on a very deep level.

Katya didn’t start officially dating until her junior year of high school. Can you guess why? Starts with a C and ends with a T. She’s a daddy’s girl alright! She loves her father so so much. Not more than her mother or anything but she just understands Clint better. Clint is also a girls dad too, which such a combination does not for vivacious blossoming romance make! She tried of course, but after Clint met her date to the middle school dance by sharpening his knifes on the porch, Katya realized she had to play things a little differently than her peers. This of course doesn’t mean that she didn’t come home at three in the morning a little high or drunk with hickies on her neck once or twice. Her mom, of fucking course, was waiting for her on her bed.

“Sit, before you wake up your father. We need to talk.” “Are you going to tell dad?” “Only if you don’t tell me the truth, are you going to lie, Katya?”

She really hates it when her mom uses mind tricks on her, because damn it they work. After that Katya stops sneaking out. She brings her boyfriend over for breakfast two weeks later. Clint’s cordial on the surface, but obviously doesn’t really like him.

“He’s got a tongue ring Nat!? Do you know who has tongue rings these days! Bad boys! Boys who think no means yes and—“ “Do you trust our daughter, Clint?” “Of course I fucking trust her, it’s him I don’t trust! Look at him! He smells like weed!” “Trust her, Clint.” A sigh. “I just miss my little girl. When did she grow up so fast?” “All things grow old, honey, even you.” “Yeah?You still like this old man?” “Play nice tonight and I’ll prove it.”

Katya would later erase this conversation from her memory, and sleep with her headphones in. Eww. Parents. Are. So. Fricken. Gross.

Eventually, Katya and her high school boyfriend drift apart. She is now dating a young med student at Princeton. She’s planning on bringing him home in the fall.

Hi Minnie. I hope you're doing well and that your lovely dogs are as well! I was watching IM2 last night and the opening scene is the Stark Expo and obviously that got me thinking of Steve/Bucky potentially going to the Expo post CW. In my head-canon Tony sees reason. Bucky is excited about going b/c he's a total science geek but he remembers the last time he went to an expo was before he shipped out to war and that's also where Steve met Erskine. Plus he has the added burden of having 1/2

2/2 same anon from before! Bucky has the added burden of having killed Howard so he isn't totally comfortable going to the expo. But Steve sees how excited he was so he talks him around and assures him that nothing bad will happen and that he deserves to enjoy himself. I love the thought of them going and Bucky being so inspired that he enrolls in university because now he can. They have the money and there are no wars to fight. Steve is right by his side and his loudest cheerleader of course

Nonnie hiiiiiii! First things first: I LOVE THIS 🥺 I have such a soft spot for Bucky going to university in the present day, the concept just fills me with so much joy 💓 There aren't nearly enough fics with that premise, come to think of it! So in my little headcanon, we didn't end things well and I got killed off off-screen or our reunion got cut off short lol

LOW KEY FORGOT I WROTE THE DAYLIGHT

I actually need to post more Dean on here. The balance of fics on this page makes people think that I probably have a normal amount of feelings for Dean Winchester when the exact opposite is true.

So, you've activated story time (as if that's hard with me), Dean Winchester was also my first love. He was the first fictional character I fell head over heels for (it's been a downhill spiral since then lolol). Tony Stark was my first comfort character, but Dean Winchester was the love of my life. In fact, I have still never seen the last four episodes of the last season b/c I REFUSE to believe that's how it ended. Denial is a powerful force, my friend. Anyways, I mention Tony Stark as well b/c (SPOILER ALERT TO WHATEVER LUCKY SOUL HASN'T SEEN OR HEARD OF THE NIGHTMARE THAT WAS ENDGAME) Tony Stark died. And then, right around the corner from that devastating blow, Dean Winchester died. Do you know the mental anguish I suffered from? Losing both of those characters? OOF. Tbh, I don't know where I was going with that point I just wanted people to know I'm still upset over that lolol

I'm still in love with Bucky, but I feel like I've drifted. Bucky stole the spotlight from Dean (which even then Dean was still number one in my heart but my attention drifted) and then when my love in Bucky started dwindling Din Djarin saw his opportunity and fucking slid right in. And despite all the fictional crushes I've had over the years, and it's been a good bit, nobody has ever come so close to taking the throne from Dean Winchester than Din Djarin has. They are fucking neck and neck-- I don't know if I could choose. I just avoid thinking about it.

Again, idk where I was going with that lol, but I guess I that was my long winded way of saying thank you for all the love, I too am a slut for Dean Winchester as well, and I need to post more about him.

// When you're a master illusionist, you're absolutely going to craft illusions to enact whatever you're fantasising about at the time, which has also meant for some horrendously embarrassing teen situations when your brother won't leave you the fuck alone and barred doors mean shit all when he's determined. Obviously the same applies in reverse the amount of times Loki has projected in on Thor at the worst moments. Sometimes on purpose when he's with a woman. Anyway, this is about Loki. Usually illusions. If he's tired or lazy, touching him or herself without that is an option. He also enjoys using his magic to enhance sensation or to stimulate an immediate orgasm if he's frustrated and wants it over with quickly. Asgard doesn't really have recorded porn in the Midgardian form, so he makes do with his illusions, although there are many enchanted scrolls and books in circulation that fulfil similar purposes. // I think this is entirely partner dependent. Loki thrives in switchy relationships. If he's with someone who is one or the other, he prefers sub males and dom females. He can lean a little more toward dominant at times because he likes control and to show his partner what he can do for them and to tease them. However, if he either trusts someone or has the hots enough for someone that he'll allow them to dominate him, he loves to get bossed about as a brat and made to behave. He has more experience being a dom and by default hasn't really allowed others to dominate him out of fear and distrust. Unofficially speaking he would allow the following people to dominate him (though this list isn't conclusive): Strange, Thor (in Thorki verses), Tony (if he's fancying a change from bottom), Sylvie, Sif. There is a limit to his being dominated. He doesn't like to feel like a pet, though a monster is a different matter. He doesn't like to play servant or be degraded or humiliated unless there is a specific circumstance that turns him on. // Oh, man. I've likely missed something but here's some stuff for now. Loki would be thrilled to role-play with a partner. He loves playing pretend and I think getting to do this in a sexual setting would probably keep him from so much of his acting out that he does elsewhere to everyone's cost. He is also able to shape shift into other people and species, which adds a whole other level to it. He is also into rape fantasy to a point, the romanticised Disneyfied kind where he or his partner would play-act as villain to the 'you fiend how dare you' counterpart. He likes elements of knife-play, but typically just the threatening aspect. He's not really into hurting his partners or being hurt or bled (though I'm exploring that a little in alternate threads) and the only time he likes blood to be involved in sex is if they're screwing in the blood of their slain enemies. He has a little bit of a thing for tentacles and monsters if he considers them handsome/beautiful enough (*cough* Strange Supreme) and he's very into Stark's armours. My Lokes might not have as many kinks as some others, not as much as I'd imagine his mythical origin to have, but he's pro the existence of most kinks. In his MCU form, he's generally too refined to find enjoyment in body substances. I recommend suggesting various kinks that aren't listed on this quiz and seeing what he says about them.

F - Food play (do they like using food in the bedroom? are there any foods they prefer to use during sex or foreplay? any they’d like to try?)

// I wouldn't say he's overly fussed about it but he would enjoy feeding a partner fruit or drizzling them in honey. Otherwise it would depend on the food. He's seen enough (and been one of) warriors at banquet tables not to often think about putting the two together unless he's in a very rare mood.

H - Humiliation (does degradation and insults get them hot? do they get off on humiliating someone else? what kind of humiliation is good for them?) 

// This is a complex one. Instinctively, Loki emphatically does not enjoy humiliation. He is prideful and insecure. He does not enjoy being treated like he is worthless or being ridiculed. However, there are blurred lines when it comes to certain relationships that involve a lot of banter. Strangefrost, for example, thrives on them insulting one another and revelling in each other's misfortune, but it has its limits. Sexual humiliation, particularly, is unlikely to make for a happy Loki. He is more tolerant of what I suppose you might call situational humiliation i.e. things go wrong for him and right for his opponent, he has bad luck, or gets temporarily outwitted. Anything that makes him feel treated like he's truly inferior or takes away his agency runs the risk of him leaving a sexual encounter or, worse, attacking his intended partner. When it comes to being the one doing the humiliating, Loki adores playing tricks on people and feeling cleverer than they are, so he does enjoy that aspect of teasing another, but usually only to the point of riling them up to fight back. He could entertain the idea of being cruel to someone if they asked him to, but it would venture into role-play territory for him to enjoy it. I could see him liking playing around with it as his dominant side, much like when he was throwing Tony around in the Avengers XD Back to the sexual side of things, anything related to bathroom usage is a no-go. Even if he treated someone like an animal, he'd want things clean.

// On Asgard, they have various different oils that serve as lubricant. They're a fairly sex positive culture when you've not got some princely expectation of you (which does very little to change that anyway). For anal sex, Loki keeps oils about his person to conjure up with magic when needed. For vaginal, his or her magic increases stimulation to help naturally prepare either a female partner or her own parts. Midgard, among other planets, though, has a lot more variety of options to have fun with and Loki approves. He's fascinated by varying flavours and sensations. // Despite his fairly high pain tolerance, Loki does not enjoy pain. He can put up with it for a while if his mischief suffices to be amusing enough to him to be worth it. He can sort of enjoy it if he's engaging in rough sex or a foreplay fight; he likes the act of provoking people for a reaction, but the end goal isn't to get hurt. With scratching or biting he prefers it in play rather than making a mark. He will allow it more from human partners who likely won't damage him anyway. He does, however, very much like getting bossed around by certain partners, so long as he can be a brat about it all. He likes to get people to an utterly desperate point and to use magic to keep them from going too soon, testing them to see if they will beg. He's a little bit more impatient to reach his own end, but having things drawn out is all part of the game. Denial is not something that he enjoys at all. It will make him angry. He might deny a partner if he's being a shithead or he's feeling vengeful. Denying partners touch would be something he would have fun with, though he would like it less for himself, I think. Needs like food or bathroom breaks he has no interest in denying. They aren't the same as carnal desire. Though, in darker verses, I could see him liking the control aspect of withholding food or water until a captive begged.

// This doesn't particularly interest Loki though he would enjoy putting on a show for a partner's attention. I wrote a frostiron fic on the subject once that covers a little of his feelings on it. He wouldn't send nudes in his male form, though in female form she would send suggestive pictures or ones of her in lingerie. He wouldn't say no to having tasteful nudes sent to him, but trusting a god of mischief with such things is your funeral. He'd be open to experimenting with recording something, but when he can recreate a memory with illusions he's not going to go out of his way for it.

// Situation dependent. Loki is capable of keeping himself quiet when necessary, though he likes to at least make soft ragged breaths. Typically he will make a medium amount of noise with snarls, gasps, and grunts. If the going is rough, he'll yell. In female form, she can be much noisier. Loud moans, cries, keens, shrieks, the works. He doesn't mind what volume his partner lets out, although he does enjoy the powerful feeling of managing to get loud noises out of a partner. As long as they're not just lying there like a doll making no noise, he'll have fun.

// No routine, only chaos. Or so he likes to think. There may well be a pattern to the way he'd go about finding casual sex, even if he'd want to deny it in his mind to keep himself from feeling boring. Scheduled sex would depend on if his partner needed that, and he would spice it up with some aspects of surprise when it was his turn, or request it of his partner. Spontaneity is his preference.

// If a partner is comfortable with it, Loki would probably enjoy touching or fucking them awake. If he's feeling cheeky or generous he might give oral, but only if he's in a comfortable enough relationship, sharing a bed. He likes being touched or sucked awake, but fucked awake would need some particular trust and would be partner dependent. Fucked to sleep he would enjoy, though the energy that would require might well break the bed. He'd absolutely go for lazy morning sex, though he wouldn't remain lazy for too long. Despite not being particularly a morning person, his Asgardian stamina (and his ingrained anxiety) would rouse him fairly quickly.

For anyone unfamiliar with the term, it's the sexual kind of watersports rather than what Mobius is into.

// It's not a particular kink of Loki's because he can literally transform his sex and shape. That said, I could see how some Lokis would love to do it as a big fuck-you to Asgardian masculinity culture. Unfortunately, this version of Loki is very caught up in that culture so he likes to feel masculine (in an elegant way) when he's male and feminine when he's female, or somewhere in between depending on the shape he takes. Whether he's turned on by a partner crossdressing would depend on the partner and whether he feels the garments suit them. Personally I don't think Hiddleston's build suits dresses for example but you'd have to put him in a dress that suited him and change my mind :P In female form she'd absolutely rock menswear. Now I really want to see what Loki looks like in full drag >.>

// Some of this will be partner dependent. Loki generally responds well to princely, kingly, or godly titles. Either during role-play or in darker threads he might like 'master'. He does not like being called daddy and he would never call someone else daddy except possibly in female form for either Strange or SIM if they wanted it, but it is not a kink of Loki's. He isn't really one for giving names either, though you may hear the occasional darling, dear (usually ironically), or 'sweet [insert name]'. He's more likely to give descriptions or call someone a precious mortal (if applicable) while he teases them. He could enjoy calling someone 'slave' in role-play. I recommend (carefully) calling him things and seeing how he responds, and only by people he's attracted to. Don't call him kitten, though, unless you're prepared to see a knife.

Z - Zones (what are their erogenous zones? what spots on their body should be touched, bitten, kissed, when someone wants to get them in the mood?)

// I think I covered this in the kissing answer. His neck is definitely the main one. Followed by his waist, if you're lucky enough to see it exposed. Squeezing his arse works, too, but probably best done if you're in bed with him and not just passing or you'll be in for a world of trouble that day. For good or ill.

Well, I think that SM:HOCO Tony’s first reaction would be shocked with a touch of disgust?  “What the hell, Kid! Christ, you couldn’t have at least tried to ask me to pull over or something first?”  Followed by seeing Peter’s face flushed from what could be the embarrassment of the situation or possibly a fever- probably both- and trying to backtrack.  But sort of floundering as he does so. “Look, I didn’t mean it like that- I’m just- not really good at this kind of thing- but we should probably- what?  Take you home, right?  You want to go home? Of course, you do.  I’m sure your aunt knows what to with all of, well, this.” Then he would rush him home to let his aunt deal with the caretaking and wish him well before going somewhere to burn the car to ashes and buy a new one.  lol.  Okay, maybe he wouldn’t actually go that far, but I’m sure he would think it.

Whereas I think Endgame ‘Dad Tony™️’ would be softer from the beginning.   Though still a little surprised by the event, because really, who wouldn’t be?  “What the-  Aww, Kiddo. It’s alright.  You’re fine.  Give me a couple of minutes and we’ll pull over so that we can try to get you sorted.”   Then find a place where he could get some wet wipes and what not to help Peter clean up and buy him some juice or something. When he had the kid cleaned up and settled he would ask him where he wants to go- as in, home with him or home to his aunt and would take him there.  However, if Peter chose to go to his aunt, I’m sure he would call at least once to check on him.

I think that just about covers my take on the subject.  Homecoming Tony is caring but raw and unprepared, and Endgame Tony is mellowed and soft with a lot more experience with taking care of other people.
