“I swear, it jumped out of my hand.” he said to no one in particular as he looked down at the coffee he’d just spilled all over himself and the floor. Looking around, he spotted Tiana “Hey, do you know where I can get some paper towels around here? I’ve got a bit of an...incident.” he chuckled, gesturing to the stain already on his shirt. “At least it was iced.”

How are you doing? You know since Kieran was an idiot.

I am, honestly, doing okay, i mean yeah he was an idiot, what hurts the most is I feel like i lost my best friend. How are we meant to go back to being best friends after this? How are we meant to after he told me I was too busy focusing on my career and that I wasn’t making time for him. This is why i was scared to start something in the first place with him.

Finally, Adam had figured out how to use that cell phone of his, and even better, discovered the world of food delivery. He’d tried Chinese, pizza, and even so called “French fries” which weren’t at all French, and tonight he had ordered from Tiana’s Place. With nothing else to do he waited in the foyer of his house, a book in his lap, until the doorbell rang, and then he opened the door. He wasn’t a short man, and every delivery person so far had been at least half a head shorter. This one, a woman, probably stood to his shoulders. ❝ ...You're late, ❞ he said, rudely. She was all of three minutes late, which meant nothing to most normal people, but Adam wasn't exactly normal.

I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m not going to sit in here anymore with no power and no cell phone and wait for it to get worse. I’m also not going to just sit outside because that’s dumb. 

So let’s get out of here and find someplace safer and warmer. You can hate me, just come with me to be safe.
