“Mmm! I might have to see if I can get the recipe for these.” Lucie spoke with enthusiasm as she bit into one of the hors d’oeuvres that were set out for people to enjoy. “These are delicious. What do you think?”

“Now that looked like it hurt.” Briar stated, clearly attempting to stop herself from laughing as she took a seat, the imprint of the person’s face remaining on the glass window that they’d tried to walk through. “At least it proves that they are very on top of the cleaning here I suppose?” She added, sipping on her drink.

That's a good idea. Cats hate water though, right? He might get revenge in my sleep or something, I'll wake up with claw marks all over. Maybe they make cat febreze or something.

Thanks, it was really my roommate who started feeding him. I just sort of took over after she died left. But yeah, who knows. He's kind of growing on me.

He’d put up with it for probably about ten minutes now but he could still see her out of the corner of his eye and it was making his skin prickle. “Are you going to tell me why you’re staring at me or do I need to give you some sleeping potion to stop your eyes from following me around the room.” Not that he’d moved much but that really wasn’t the point as he scratched down a little too hard on the book of puzzles he’d been working his way through in quite an orderly and swift fashion.

“Hey, I heard that you were caught up for ages. Are you alright?” Hugo wouldn’t pretend to know everything that was going on with Meredith but that didn’t mean that they didn’t care about her. A part of them had wanted to come over immediately upon hearing she was in the Ministry but naturally, their mum was the first person they needed to check in on after there had been an attempt on her life.

Even though realistically Mason knew that everything was fine and that he was out of the situation he’d been in with the lockdown, the sound of something clattering on the table caused the brunette to jump, his drink spilling over the side of the cup. His heart was hammering hard in his chest and he took a moment to inwardly remind himself he was fine and that nothing bad was happening, a breath following before he offered a slight smile. “Sorry... I didn’t manage to splatter you with my drink did I? I mean, if I did I suppose there are worse things to smell of than hot chocolate.” He stated, apologetically.

" I think it needs a new battery, I planned to take it to the mechanic tomorrow," Meredith mentioned nonchalantly and followed his movement with her eyes. It was a little late for coffee, but she didn't say anything. What did he do again? She wondered and decided to make a mental note to ask him eventually.

"Well, if you'd like to know.. he's mentioned wanting to be a firefighter." She smiled right back at him. " Is it decaf? Wouldn't want to stay up past midnight." She joked and nodded at his question before taking a nearby seat. " No problem, I think Miles is a great kid. You have done great as a dad as well." She had to admit, at first, it felt weird to carry on a conversation but then realized that it was good to build rapport with a parent. It meant that she was not only good with the children but with their parents too. Besides, it seemed to kill time since her ride was about 30 minutes away.

Jamie said looking around, before looking over at the girl for a moment, they had never really spent much time around each other, only enough for him to know he trusted her with his son. He shock his head as he looked over at her. "Oh right, what happened to your car?" He asked as he ran a hand through his scruffy hair before putting the kettle on. He shock his head, "Oh no you don't need to wait outside, you're fine here." He looked at her smiling for a moment.

Nodding he smiled, "He is very bright, I think he is going to grow up to be a genius." Getting a cup to make his coffee in he looked at her, "Would you like a drink whilst you wait?" He smiled, "Also you have made such a difference her, I can't begin to thank you for everything and you are great with Miles."

Natalia was ready. She knew as soon as Chloe was missing that she had to be Meredith. But she had a little surprise waiting for the other woman. She was completely and utterly cut off. Natalia didn’t want to go there, to that dark, cold place that was always within her. That True Burgess nature that threatened to creep out of her and never leave. But she had to. She had to do it for her fiancé and her future sister-in-law. Natalia waited because she knew Meredith was coming. Her account was depleted. The apartment she was staying in suddenly had an infestation and mold problem that rendered it unlivable until fixed. Every place in the city hotels, motels, apartments, homes, had been warned against her, whether by threat of blackmail or by a hefty pay incentives not to do business with her.  It was high time she tested out the strength of her abilities as a Regent, using her full powers, no matter the consequences, and she knew that there would be some. But they were worth it. Natalia knew that Meredith would come, she had no money, of course she would show up. And when she did, she would hit her with everything she had. It was go time and she didn’t grow up in a coven of badass witches to fuck around now.  She waited patiently in her and Chloe’s home for the other woman to come in. “Back, so soon? Did you need something?” she asked her casually. Little did she know once she entered there was no exit. There was a barrier spell keeping her in and a damn strong one. @chloexriley

Holding up a heavy piece of paper, Frankie looked up from where she was seated on the countertop of a party taking place in Emeritus, surrounded by bottles of alcohol strewn across the kitchen. She gave Meredith a smile, waving the card at the girl as a greeting. “Meredith, right? Like Grey? God, that show was so good. Rip McDreamy. Rest in peen,” Frankie stated, in a tone as bored and listless as if she were reading the ingredients off a can of Campbells soup. “Anyways, one of the guys here just handed me an invite to this party down the hall. Apparently they filled up the tub in their bathroom with champagne and they’re going to make dudes wrestle in it. Seems like some kind of Secret History reader porn, but could be wild,” Frankie told her, eyes flicking up as a grin spread across her face. “Seems like a waste of champagne. They’d always enjoyed the shenanigans they’d ended up in together and it wasn’t the same without her around. “I mean, you have an awesome job though in my opinion Meri. Shall we go pick out some things I can bring back to school with me after the break and we can concoct some plans together?”
