"Yeah, platonic love." But Mason was laughing despite that fact, because he really didn't mind. He was swift to whip out his phone at the mention of photos of their pups though, immediately flicking through to show Ronnie the most recent ones they had taken. "See, we make an awesome team with all four of us don't we. Look at our little Toad."

"Oh come on, you know I mean it with the most love ever," Ronnie said with a grin. Her eyes lit up with delight at the mention of dogs, "Oh my god, I must see! Do you have pictures?"

"How many have you run into?" Mason couldn't help but wonder how many had ended up having similar ideas this halloween. He didn't think he'd seen any more currently but he knew that was unusual. "But you made them? That's commitment and talent all rolled into one." Mason complimented in surprise. "But yeah, I think anyway... Axel isn't usually too far away."

"You are most certainly the most peppy Mario I've ever run into," Piper replied, having let out a little exclamation of surprise when the man had appeared in front of her. "Thank you. I made this dress and a matching pink one for my best friend," she confirmed, when he'd asked if she had a Princess Peach. "She shouldn't be too far actually. Grabbing us some drinks. And your Luigi? Is he about?"

"It's a me, Mario!" Mason couldn't resist calling out as he seemed to jump and slide into place in front of the girl who was similarly dressed. "That is such an awesome outfit. Clearly think alike." He complimented brightly, energy seeming to burst from his every pore. The male appeared unable to stand still. "I have a Luigi so you must have a Princess Peach, right?"

Mason paused mid-huge bite at that but after a short blink, he didn't seem to concerned if the way he continued to dig into his food was anything to go by. "I mean, isn't Halloween food supposed to taste a little odd sometimes? I have a stomach of steel though so I'm all good." He added with a grin. "If you don't want that, I'll eat it."

"Does something about this actually taste off or is it just because the food is abnormally orange and black to match the theme?" Axel wondered as he tried to finish off the bite he was chewing. "Maybe I'm just psyching myself out."

"Adorable huh? I'm not sure that's what every guy wants to be called but I appreciate it nonetheless, especially given he was dressed as Mario and it was probably the most apt description of his outfit. "Yeah, he is. I'm sure he's somewhere around here though I'm not sure where at the moment. You should see the pups though. We have a goomba." He stated with a grin.

"You look absolutely adorable," Ronnie said, beaming as she spotted her friend, "I love this choice for you. I take it Axel is Luigi?"

"I feel like that's what most women enjoy doing to me." Mason admitted because it wasn't the first time someone had teased him. It didn't appear too difficult to do however.

"It could be both but you know I only tease," Ronnie replied, smirking, "I know it's rightly so, though it is nice to hear."

"I feel like this is gonna be a battle but I guess I enjoy a challenge. Besides, good friends are always worth it." Mason just hoped the woman would be open to the idea, otherwise he felt like this was going to be a painful pursuit.

"Yeah I suppose I do get some perks by being family," Lyra considered with a laugh. "I can definitely say it's worth it. How receptive she'll be is a whole other battle but I've got no control in that sorry to say."

Mason gave a coy smile at that, a laugh falling from his lips. "Is it flirting to point out the obvious?" He asked, giving a shrug of his shoulders. "But I suppose it was a compliment. Rightly so."

Ronnie smiled, "You're damn right," she replied and her smile shifted to a smirk, "Was that a compliment on my appearance, Mason? You flirt," she teased.

"Firstly, you're related to her but secondly, you are not as bad as me and you know it." Or at least to him it didn't appear that way but then maybe it was simply because he found it easier to handle given his own tendencies. "Well, with such high reviews, I can't not get to know her now." He added with a laugh.

"I do get that, I really do," Lyra nodded in understanding. "But I promise she's not all spikes. I mean she gets along with me and you know that I can be pretty full on sometimes too," she pointed out. "She is. She's so interesting. I suppose I'm biased because she's my cousin but she really is so wonderful and I wish she'd let more people get to know her as well as I do."

"That's probably the best thing to be known for. Anyone would be lucky to have you looking out for them, Ronnie." Mason complimented genuinely. "As for looking good whilst doing it... Well I really don't think you have to worry about that."

"Oh," Ronnie thought for a moment before smiling, "I guess that I always go after what I want, protect my loved ones and... I look good while doing it," she added the last bit with a small laugh but it was the truth.

Jesse really knew how to make people feel seen and Mason was having a hard time not still seeing that idol he'd always seen in the man. He knew he'd done some stuff and that it wasn't great and Axel had always been pretty clear on his stance so Mason had tried to keep it to himself for the most part but he just couldn't seem to help it. A bright grin lit up his face. "Yeah, I... yeah completely." He agreed enthusiastically at the fact the older man seemed to put them in the same group.

"Yeah you'll definitely have to keep me posted," he then offered up in return. Jesse obviously wished the boys well, seeing a lot of himself and his own bandmates in them when they had just been starting out. "Us musicians have got to stick together and all that, right?"

"What do you think you would want people to find out about you first?" Mason found himself asking after a moment, wondering what it was Ronnie would want to be remembered for if she could choose.

Ronnie smiled, "I think it's the first thing people find out about you. It is a big part of your life," she pointed out.

Mason nearly jumped out of his skin when the voice suddenly appeared from behind him. He hadn't been expecting it at all and yet here she was. "Man... give a guy some warning." He stated, holding his chest tightly. "How did you not just kill me..."

"What's holding you back? You seem pretty interested," Val had leaned lightly over to ask as she spotted the other eyeing the display in the window. "I say treat yourself. Plus it looks to me they've been made fresh so I don't know about you but I will absolutely be hopping on that."

"I...Uh never mind." He'd been about to say he'd let him know when it was done so he could hear it early but he could just imagine Axel's response to that. "Well... if I see you, I'll let you know when it's out or something?" He offered up, though Mason knew Jesse was probably just being polite.

"That's wonderful," he replied, knowing that it could be hard to write when there was a lot of pressure. It came with the job and the environment, but those moments that were even the slightest bit less stressful were treasured. "I'm looking forward to hearing your guys' new stuff," Jesse added.

Now that caused Mason's jaw to hit the floor. It hung open for several moments before he finally seemed to get hold of himself once more but even that was through sputtering. "Excuse me what? How, like how is it even possible for someone to go without pizza for years?!" Because that seemed impossible, like some sort of weird anomaly for that to happen. "Come on." Mason spoke, holding out a hand to the girl expectantly. "Now that I know this I can't go on living in a world where there is someone I know who doesn't know their favourite pizza... unless you are like me and love it all. So we're going to this place I know where you can get different slices and we are gonna be trying so many together that by the end of it you'll have more analysis than you know what to do with."

"Um, it's a long story but I haven't had pizza in a very long time. We're talking years," Pippa said, "And I'm not really sure I've had a favourite so I'm taking a poll to figure out which one I should get as my first pizza in a long time."

Mason's eyes appeared to go large and round at that reading and he leaned in a little closer. "Is that it? Do I get nothing else? I don't want obstacles, not unless they are food or fluff shaped. Can't you tell me anything good, please?" He requested emphatically.

"It also says here that 'the rest of your month will be filled with various obstacles and challenges that will force you to change your perspective in ways you didn't expect'," Trinity read off the horoscope for the other passionately. She knew damn well most didn't believe in the stuff but she'd always had an affinity for it. "Do you want to know your lucky numbers as well?"
