"It's one of the many wise lessons my uncle gave me. It doesn't mean it's easy but that's why we have alcohol and handsome bartenders that make it even easier to open up to." He flashed a smile, and a casual wink at Juliet, in an attempt to keep the mood somewhat light. "You're not trying to get rid of me now by passing me off to your brother, are you?" Rami couldn't help but throw out in a playful tone, nodding in understanding. "I get that, somewhat," he admitted, his expression softening, though he didn't expand on it. "I think that's only natural, though for someone to be curious about where they come from? Have you ever, you know, thought about looking into it?" He supposed, despite his parents gone, Kamile and him had been fortunate that they'd been raised by someone that knew them.
âTrue,â Juliet mused half heartedly, before smiling. âThank you, I came to my senses eventually. Oh you have a point there, I guess I never really thought about it like that,â She admitted, taking a sip of her drink. She watched as he served another patron, her smile growing when he returned. âOh, theyâre definitely a lot, you should meet Kevin. Iâm adopted, and while I absolutely adore my adoptive family, sometimes it brings up unwanted feelings about my birth parents.â The ones that had never wanted her. âOh you definitely do, it is a very pretty face.â

âOh, donât mind me,â a playful tone entered his voice as he approached his next patron. âI was just taking a moment to enjoy the view, canât blame me, itâs not every day us bartenders find ourselves looking at suchâŠimmaculate ones.â Licking his lips, he pulled a glass from the counter. âWhat can I get for you?â

@serostarterââ WHO: RAMI AYDEM WHERE: at Last Chance Saloon, a rustic, Western themed bar.
âHm,â Rami remarked, glancing over at the other as they spoke. âI hadnât thought about it like that before now.â He admitted, raising a finger before he began shaking the drink he was making for them. Not wanting to just interrupt the conversation. âBut Iâll admit I donât spend much time thinking on topics that donât interest me much.â He added, pouring the beverage into the glass before serving it to the over. âBut NOW youâve piqued my interest.âÂ

It would be so easy, too easy for Rami to give the other a hard time. Tempting, even but from the looks of it, he was having a rough night and he seemed harmless. Even with the possibility of looks being deceiving, Rami trusted his sixth sense. But not before toying with the other a bit, "Hmm, well, surely you'd make a terrible thief to show your hand, and I can't imagine a drumstick would do much harm." Rami paused, flashing the other a wicked grin. "But if it turns out your a groupie stalking the band, I might have to kick you out." Even if he was by no means a bodyguard, Rami had escorted his fair share of patrons out of the bar. "But just for the sake of doing my job diligently, mind giving me a little to riff?"
Arjun didn't have a thing on them, save for the drumsticks that they'd tucked into their back pocket. No wallet or phone or any other way to get anyone else to help him out of the alley and so the door opening and the bartender were his saving grace. Though...he also didn't have a wallet or phone to prove that they were part of the band and weren't just some stranger lurking in an alleyway. "I'm part of the band," he tried to assure the other, "I don't have..." he mumbled, reaching for the drumsticks and holding them out. "My wallet and phone are inside with the rest of my band."

choose your muse(s): đ - Does my muse protect their heart? If so, why do they protect their heart? // đ» - When does my muse say âI love youâ? Does it take some time to do it?
HEADCANON MEME: LOVE EDITION.
đ - Does my muse protect their heart? If so, why do they protect their heart?
I guess, in a sense you can say that they do, since they never really commit to anyone. I don't think it's necessarily intentional, though, they're just enjoying life to its fullest. They have, however, had their heart crushed in the past, and they rarely talk about that as they see no use dwelling on the past. So, maybe they do, even if they don't realize it. It would explain why they have so many one night stands and friends with benefits, rather than commitments or even attempting one.
đ» - When does my muse say âI love youâ? Does it take some time to do it?
I don't think Charlie has ever said I love you romantically, nor has she gotten to that state with anyone. I don't think she'd have a problem saying it if she did have such strong feelings, though as she grew up raised by her uncle whom was and still is in a healthy, committed relationship. She's also witnessed some great loves, it just hasn't happened for her yet. When it comes to people she's crushing on, however, she definitely struggles in telling them and more often than not will make a fool out of herself.

"It's very unlike him," Rami remarked with a small nod, his frown almost mirroring Kamiles'. "I could've sworn I saw a light on in the shop the other day as I passed by, which makes no sense. He'd never not let us know if he was back in town? Have you tried Flynn's number?"
"no, i haven't heard from amca in awhile." kamile said, looking thoughtful and frowning. "that's so bizarre. he didn't tell us he was changing his number right? the last time i heard from him they were stopping in rome and we were supposed to get pictures and post cards." she frowned.

TRIGGERS MENTIONED: GROOMING/PREDATORY BEHAVIOR, ALCOHOL & SUBSTANCE USEÂ
MINI BIO : Growing up, life was good. He had a happy family, and a sister he doted on. At 12, their parents died, leaving them in the care of their uncle and his partner. He did love them, of course, but it was rough at first. At a young age, he turned to spending more time than he ought to have in online chat rooms, eventually meeting someone thatâd change his life. For better, or for worse. Eventually, the two arranged to meet at a halfway point, the woman in question quite a bit older. Still, Rami was infatuated by him and even more so, by the way he treated him and made him feel alive for the first time since the death of his parents. Maybe the parts that made it wrong were what exhilarated him. He began a secret affair with the woman, before eventually falling into the bad habit of doing favors and making appearances for her and others, for money. It was good money for a 17 year old, and he loved the attention. All of it, though, was in the name of impressing the older woman. Eventually, his uncle caught on. Still, he at this point had become addicted. Eventually, though it was brought to an end once she was brought to court. After this, Rami continued to struggle with his mental health, turning to alcohol and other substances more than he ought to, before finding his path. This path led him to bartending, starting a youtube and eventually taking part in the reality show TOO HOT TO HANDLE. Now heâs in a good, happy place with his job and people in his life.Â
connection ideas: friends he fell out with, someone that canât stand him, someone heâs in a constant bickering war with? but oops? there'sâ tension too? hook ups, friends with benefits, flirtationships. anything?Â

"Haven't we all?" he joked, though his expression painted something more sincere. "I'm sorry to hear that, though, glad to hear it's an ex, though no matter what happened." Rami told her honestly. "They usually aren't worth it, but sometimes we do have to talk about them in order to move on and forget about them. Sometimes it's about us and not them." He added on, looking over as a patron signaled him down and dismissed himself briefly to refill their beer before returning to Juliet. "Your family a lot? Or just not a fan? Something like that, I'd do it myself but I have to preserve my face."
âTo put it bluntly, I had a very, very shitty ex boyfriend,â Juliet sighed out, taking a very long swig of her drink. âDonât apologise, itâs natural to be curious. I just donât like giving him the air time if I can help it,â She shrugged her shoulders. âYeah, I somewhat understand. I mean I adore my family, but this day is always a little of a struggle for me. Is that when you have big beefy security guards coming to your rescue?â

Between working shifts at the bar and running the speakeasy, Rami found himself exhausted and his usual self was feeling foreign in his own body. Normally, he'd have spent the night working his patrons, perhaps even taking one home but the energy was no more. Sighing, he'd decided to spend the last hour cleaning up and was now exiting the building to take out the trash, glad for a breath of fresh air to clear his head. Hearing feet and a voice calling after him as he turned to go back inside, however, his brow arched, "Letting a stranger in from the alley way has never been a good call, you sure you're safe?"
location:
They were spent after that latest show, exhaustion seemed to have seeped into his very bones when he finally managed to disentangle himself from the mess backstage and slip out a back door. He just needed five minutes of quiet and the cool night air was a balm against his sweaty skin, but when that five minutes was up and he knew that he should go back in-- the door he'd taken out wouldn't budge. Cursing himself, Arjun stepped back against the brick wall, sliding down it until he was almost on the ground. He could wait it out-- someone was bound to come out soon enough. Minutes passed, however, and only then did someone else step through the door. "Don't let it close," he blurted out, breaking the quiet stillness of the alleyway as he scrambled back to his feet.
