Ok with some people pointing out that Caine might be a human because he can't tell the difference between the humans and npcs, it's time to consider that the 'A' in C&A isn't Able.

My favorite of these theories pointed out that Caine could have been the first to go into the circus, hence why he's omnipotent. Some say he's lost his memory like the other humans (which is debatable), but what if he hasn't lost his memories and is just choosing to live in the circus because it's a better life for him than real life? That would be enough motivation to 'wipe' the other humans' memories to keep them from discovering how to leave the circus and take him back to the real world.

With this being said, what if Pomni was the 'A' in C&A? Many people I've seen think it's possible that Pomni is the last person from C&A to be sucked into the digital circus, but what if this is because she's the last resort? First her coworker disappears, and slowly all the other staff begin to disappear as well until she's the only one left from C&A who hasn't touched the digital circus game.

If Pomni is one of the main game devs for digital circus like Caine, maybe that explains why she was able to find the exit door when the other circus members couldn't. It also explains how Pomni was able to escape the grid backrooms with item collision even though she doesn't have the memories of what item collision in games is.

Idea. What if all the humans were former C&A workers who were either convinced to go or forced into the game.

Ragatha's the most social and friendly of the performers. Perhaps worked as a receptionist or was in customer service. She could’ve also been part of the HR department (Jax-LADY WE GOT TRAPPED IN A VIDEO GAME, PRETTY SURE THAT COUNTS AS AN HR VIOLATION!

Jax(wears overalls, gloves and well with his surroundings and seems to have keys to lots of places) perhaps was a technician or janitor(warning spoilers, in the office Pomni was in looked like those lights could've used some fixing and also looked messy like it needed a cleanup, no one was around to that anymore). Perhaps tried the headset out of curiosity or it was forced unto him when he found out something he wasn't suppose to while working when no one else was there.

Gangle-An animator or working part of the animation department. Hence the emphasis on her expression masks and her name based on movement. Perhaps wanted to test to see how the player can move and express.

Zooble- Involved in the art department, perhaps involved in character designs such as avatar customization.

Kinger-Probably behind the game as the main programmer or even the creator of the game.

Pomni- An unfortunate game tester, perhaps was already working there as a desk worker who was tempted with a good pay and a chance to experience a new world from the one she felt lost and unwanted in.

The rest of the previous performers were also once former workers and/or testers who got tricked into or forced like the current ones.
