I rarely post pictures of my kids on here, but I had to post this one of me and C. from today. Our local library had a space and constellation talk with a portable planetarium, so we dressed up in our finest space gear. C.’s wearing his dwarf planet shirt and star shorts, and I’m wearing my moon phase tank and some sparkly eyeshadow. This photo was taken at home, hours later, but this is what we looked like at the event (not including the KN95 masks we wore).

Also, as we were leaving the library, the song playing on the radio was David Bowie’s “Ashes to Ashes.” “Starman” or “Life On Mars?” would’ve been slightly more appropriate, but at least “Ashes” mentions Major Tom!

Headcannons/information about my Titan army killer au!

-this au takes place between the last Olympian and the lost hero.

-in this au, Ethan does not die in the battle of manhattan. He survives after being found by Drew. Only to die a week later by the titan army killer.

-Tanaka/nakamura family is cannon to this.

-many half bloods in the TA were given pardons and welcomed back to chb

-the titan army killer is an unidentified camper at chb. They are killing ex-titan army campers for an unknown reason.

-Chiron is negligent to all of this, passing off every death as an accident of some sort.

-Drew Tanaka and Valentina Diaz are the ones actually stepping up and searching for the killer.

-there is a group called “the crew”. Which was formed after the second death (Margret smiths). The crew consists of: Lou Ellen, Valentina, Neil, Milly, James, marrie, desire, Jessie(before death), Clovis and Drew. Notably, Chris is not in the crew

-there are supporting campers who are not part of the crew but are upset about the murders, including: Will solace, Cecil markowitz, and the stolls

She raised up the small tray in her hands as she walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "But be warned," she added, setting the tray down in front of Jessie once she'd sat up, "it's a bribe." She winked, an amused glint in her expression. Juliet reached over to tuck a stray bit of hair behind Jessie's ear. "I'm just wanting all of the gossip from after I left last night."

the thing is. the thesis of what makes protag jessi so good. is she was always so close to figuring it out anyway. she would get there so fast and then, when she did, she would be furious that yasuda has made her the protagonist of what should have been yasuda's story. she would HATE being the lens through which someone else has to be viewed. like she was so taken aback by battler's "it's not my turn to go on stage" comment there's no WAY she would be content to play a leading role so that someone she cares deeply about can hide away like that

Esme glances up, immediately offering the other a smile. "I've got nothing planned, so luckily or unfortunately, I am indeed free tonight."

She displaces her tablet, placing the stylus on top as if to further confirm her words.

"Do you want to do anything specific, or do you just want company?" Esme's fine with whatever. It's easier to help put the other at ease when they feel as if they have control over the situation, especially when they're new and in an unfamiliar environment.

"But I'll have you know that if you want to talk I have a very good ear and copious amounts of time."

Juliet had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to act on her plan. She knew Magnus had access to the Institute, and, even better, the ability to portal in at will. That would be how Jessie could see Jace. She'd been intent on keeping her promise to Jessie in that regard, but when she'd returned home the night before to find out that Adam had willfully sent Jace on a path to Bone City... that certainly made it all the more pressing. She'd been avoiding Adam for most of the time since, admittedly hurt by the words he'd said about the nephilim. Jonathan had told her when she prompted him. She liked that about the pack second. He treated her like an equal piece of the puzzle of their hierarchy. The shifter had no quarrel with the nephilim before now, and to use words like expendable... it made Juliet burn with anger for them and perhaps a bit of shame. So she couldn't face Adam. No, she needed to plan. She'd sat up for most of the night until she settled on seeking Magnus' help. It was a major favor, but she hoped she held enough sway with the warlock after their years of friendship to ask such a thing--and hoped even more that the opportunity to ruffle a few feathers for the likes of Adam and Hayden might even do the trick on its own.

So when Juliet heard Kyle downstairs, she practically lept up from her bed. She found Jessie in her room and pressed a finger to her lips before waving for the younger woman to follow her. She rushed them out of the Pack House through the back door, only stopping to talk to Jessie when they were in her car and starting on a path to the city. "I'm getting you into The Institute. We won't have much time before your dad notices we're gone... but you need to see him," she explained, offering Jessie's hand a brief squeeze before returning it to the wheel. She passed on all of the information she'd been keeping in. The meeting with Hayden. The impending trial. Jessie deserved to know, in Juliet's eyes. And she could take the blame for everything later--she would have to.

When they reached Magnus' Manor, she was equally surprised and yet not at all when he opened the door before she even had a chance to. "I'm afraid we have to skip the pleasantries for the time being, my love. I need you to get Jessie into the Institute to see Jace before they send him to this damned trial... please. I only hope they haven't already sent him."

I met the Toph’s voice actor, michaelamostly (IG)! She’s an amazing human being, entertaining, and totally fun to interact with! I love how she brings Toph to life with her voice and mannerisms! I also love the jersey that she’s wearing in this photo! I hope she’ll be able to come back to Calgary/Otafest!
