       “So... looks like we’re going to be here for a while...” Ciara trailed off as a shower of sparks waterfalled to the stage. A cluster of workers cursed as they scattered out of the way. She winced in sympathy, but remained otherwise placid –– after all, standing a ways away from where everything was falling apart pretty much gave them the perfect seat to watch from. 
The grumbling of her stomach reminded her that she’d skipped breakfast in order to be on set bright and early, and boy did she regret that now. Luckily... “Sweet! Animal crackers,” she whispered, a little louder than intended. God bless her mom, always sneaking snacks into her bag. “Do you, um, want some?” She waved the packet teasingly, “They’re chocolate-covered.”
