Amnesiac characters (be they protagonists of their story or otherwise) are a fascinating topic and rightly talked about quite a lot here, but I'm surprised that, as far as I can recall, I've seldom if ever seen discussions about its compelling counterpart: stories where it's not the character who has forgotten the world, but rather the world that forgot about the character. I find a lot of exquisite potential in the sense of alienation intrinsic to a narrative where a character is prisoner to an awareness that is exclusively their own. Time travel is often a conveniently conductive device for such stories, offering a whole slew of interesting permutations: parallel universes and alternate histories, but also plot devices, such as immortality or cryo-sleep, that catapult characters ages ahead of their own time, dropping them into eras where the truth etched on their own skin has been warped and twisted as it slowly faded away from frail parchments and corrupted databanks. The sense of isolation that comes with being the sole depository of knowledge about a world that is no more, especially in cases when it should still be... that's the good stuff.

Questions for C Control Pt.2

(As a follow-up for the previous post I made about questions I had about C Control, I decided to make a part 2 since I found that there were, in fact, a few questions still lingering in my head 🤔)

(These questions are mostly just ones I came up with for fun while I was re-watching the show(because that's a thing I do on an average Thursday night 😋))

(ALSO note that this one is somewhat longer than the previous one)

-Hypothetically, what would happen if a Midas representative had a child? Would the child be able to go along with life normally, or would they have some sort of 'special perk'? Are Midas representatives even able to have children????

-In episode 8(in specifically the Japanese sub), Kimimaro calls out to Masakaki, and right after Masakaki actually shows up, Kimimaro admits that he had 3 other ways of getting his attention if yelling didn't work out. I just wonder, what were those other ways?

-In episode 3, Sato mentions two things:

1. The size of each financial district varies on the economic state of the portion of the world it covers, with the far Eastern countries having the largest districts(which would mean that at least most countries located in Asia must be quite huge)

2. There is at least one agent in each financial district trying to get more information on the bank(I believe?)

-Both of these made me come up with several questions:

-Exactly how small could a district possibly be? And which districts are the smallest?

-I wish we could've gotten the point of view from agents in other countries, because how are their investigations doing? Is there possibly any information on the bank that we didn't get to hear about in the show?

-I've been wondering this for quite a bit now actually- But could a person take a picture of the representatives? Or would it be glitched out like with Alastor from Hazbin Hotel? (I don't think there's really a reason for this question lmao- I just think it's fun to think about someone taking a picture of one of the Midas bankers and sharing it with all their friends...Totally not something I'd do in real life, haha 😊)

-I don't think we've ever gotten a full list of the rules in the district, so I wonder how many rules there are? What if a person were to break one or at least several of them?...Or all of them?

-What if a person refused to take part in a deal? I'd imagine there'd be automatic consequences for them(like them immediately 'losing' the deal), but again, it's fun imagining a representative having to physically force a person to participate...

-So say if a child had their own bank account and stuff, would they be viable to become an entre? Are children entres a thing in the financial district???

-...Could female Midas representatives exist? Could that be a possible thing??? This is the question that truly plagues me every night(/hj)

-Does a representative have to do their job? Could they possibly just...Not do anything at all and completely neglect the district? Could one of them maybe even live a normal 'human' life like everyone else, without the district? Or is there something constraining them from that?

-Say if C was about to take place, and after a person was informed of that, they decided to go on a plane and travel to a different country/continent in an attempt to escape C- Would that work??? Could they just...Completely avoid being wiped from existence by going somewhere different????

-Okay I KNOW this is probably very unlikely in the world of C Control, but what would happen if someone with supernatural powers entered the district? Would they be able to use their abilities during deals, or would that be considered cheating?

-Follow up for the previous question, could an entre use outside weapons in deals? Like a gun, for example? Or would that, again, be considered cheating?

-Finally- What exactly happened at the end of the show? I've heard people say that Kimimaro sold his future(and therefore no longer has the future he would've gotten), and I'm willing to go with that theory- But I'm still a bit unsure 🤔

Alright, welp, that's all I got for now 🤷‍♀️ There's a possibility I might make a part 3, but who knows? :3

@polosat0chka Finally I've gotten these two drawings out of my system 😭 Ever since I saw 12th and 7th, I knew I just HAD to draw them(even if I don't know anything about them yet ahshhdgdgs)- So I did :D They look a little wonky to me(especially 7th) but I quite like how they turned out, so I hope you do too :>

...After these words, there was a deathly silence, because we all stared with quiet horror at how the big mouth, up to now stretched in a smile, opened unnaturally wide. So wide that something white and unnaturally long appeared out of the darkness of the throat. It protruded right out of the mouth that had recently been just smiling lips with a row of sharp white teeth. When it fell out completely, it became clear that it was a painfully white hand that grabbed the upper jaw from inside the throat. After that, the second one came out of the throat. We continued to watch for we could not look away from what was happening. The other hand grabbed his lower jaw. Then both hands began to pull the upper and lower jaws apart from one another. They did it so slowly that it seemed hours before the white skin on the cheeks could not stand it and burst, revealing the appearance of bare oral muscles...

My dash has been a bit sad lately, as if we’re all simultaneously going through a shift in our lives that’s making us feel off-kilter. So, in pursuit of finding the good in my own life…

Gratitude Challenge!

Here are 10 things I’m grateful for and/or proud of myself for accomplishing since the start of 2023 (and/or in the last year if 5 months is too short a period of time for your brain). Please feel free to play along!

1. I finished college with a 4.0GPA after 3 years of hard work. I can’t wait to walk across the convocation stage in June. (And I’m the first in my family to have a diploma from a post-secondary institution!)

2. I directed a large scene in a short film as part of the graduating class’ final production. It was difficult and exciting and we were able to work with cinema-level equipment. I’m so incredibly proud of what my team and I were able to accomplish. (3 7/8 pages in 3 hours!)

3. When I started to feel my mental health deteriorating back in February, I sought support and counselling to help myself cope. Being honest about the pressures I have been facing for years is allowing me to place necessary boundaries as those pressures resurface. Taking care of yourself is difficult in this industry, but making choices to hike and run and exercise when possible are other great ways I’ve been protecting my overall well-being.

4. I completed another large piece of fiction that required several weeks of work and attention, with additional background efforts to fully form two of my own original characters. I am really proud that they read fleshed out and honest alongside characters that are already known from the source material.

5. I became an aunt again two times over. I was able to adjust my school schedule in order to be present with E as C was arriving, and then spend the first week of C’s life with them both. Once I finished school, I made the time to go meet L as well and spend time with her mum, one of my oldest friends. My first nephew is due to arrive any day now.

6. When situations were uncomfortable, I made conscious choices to leave and excuse myself from the discomfort or actively stay and rewrite the traumatic memories that were making me uncomfortable. Having the power over my reactions in situations that make me feel out of control is wildly liberating. I look forward to working on that more as I continue to grow.

7. I’ve leaned into being vulnerable more often in the last 5 months than ever before in my life. It’s terrifying every single time and yet I keep doing it.

8. I read a book a day one week when I was feeling really anxious, as a coping mechanism. I haven’t read that fast or that consistently since I was a teenager. I can’t wait to do it again.

9. I started practicing writing amidst changing locations and constant distractions with the three sentence fic challenge (while TAing). I had a lot of fun and got some interesting stuff out of it. I’m really looking forward to writing a bunch more again, especially in less-than-ideal conditions.

10. I won a scholarship! That was elected by the teaching administration I was working alongside at my college. The money, whenever I get it, will be really beneficial to help pay off my growing debt.

The questions and remarks got riskier and riskier each time and while the green-haired man always gave you time and possibilities to withdraw or put a halt to this situation you simply couldn't. Each look into his mischievous glowing, amber eyes made you feel like you were the one dragging on the expensive pipe and not him. Sure you got your fair share of the stuff by inhaling it passively (something he pointed out to you while he asked if it was ok for you) but was it enough to make you that dizzy? And why made it you lascivious rather than anything else? They were just painkillers.

You simply put another stone somewhere on the board not even bothering to check if this snake already caught you in its coils again. The game became secondary a while ago. You were far more interested in the questions he had up his sleeve and in letting yourself drown in this ethereal sight he gave you. He came out of a lavish bath when he had the idea of playing Go with you and put his freshly washed, enormous mass of emerald green hair into a messy bun with individual strands falling down his shoulder onto a lavender robe that was rather carelessly thrown around his slim figure. Although anyone would just see a man that was beautiful by nature and didn't care too much about aesthetics for a simple board game between friends, your mind wandered to places that made your cheeks burn up like mad. For you, he looked like one of the ludicrous expensive ladies from the pearl galley who just bid farewell to a customer between rice paper walls before preparing for the next.

The longer you lingered on the thought, the more details you took in about the "disheveled" pharmacist. While everything about his look seemed nonchalant, his makeup was on fleek. His lips even were a few shades darker than usual and the wing of his eyeliner a little more daring. Every move of his was precisely timed and choreographed to show you "accidentally" certain body parts considered erotic by people with a refined taste.

You are in the middle of getting thirst trapped by the owner of the Bubu Pharmacy!

And you felt caught in more forms than one. Baizhus sinful charade began way earlier than you noticed and normally you were the person pulling off stunts like that. He gave you your own medicine to taste and you didn't even notice until it was way too late. Now this divine being had you far enough to ask anything from you and you would give it to him gratefully. Be it your soul, your body, or simply your money!

You shook your head and tried to catch up to what was happening around you at this moment looking your opponent straight into his eyes, who held a stone in his own color up between his long and slender fingers to show you that you gained a question for him. His fiery gaze flared up as he noticed that you finally caught up to his little game. He even scared you with a bold grin before he brought his facial features under control and put his angelic mask back on.

This was maybe your only chance to shake up his self-confidence a little and get at least a bit of the same fun he had on your costs. You opened your (f/c) lips and rephrased the question in your mind before letting it roll off your tongue while taking the stone out of his hand

“Admit it. Do you think of me when you touch yourself?”

You caught him swallowing hard and drinking in how his vertical pupils retracted ever so slightly just before they dilated again, wider than before.

"You would like to know that, yes? Hmmm…", he playfully acted like he thought about his answer before he gave you a playful side glance then grabbed you by your collar and pulled you to him rather forcefully just stopping when his alluring lips were right next to your ear nearly brushing it: "Every single time since I got to know you, my Lotus."

With this he let his tongue flick along the shell of your ear slowly before he moved back to his previous position like nothing happened.

--------------------------------- I just like the idea that Baizhu, since he's not able to have raw and rough nasty stuff or make-out sessions because of his frail body, tends to play all sorts of (consensual-ish) mind games with his "prey" for the thrill.

Also the reader can be seen as gender neutral but the continuation of this piece will be with a female Reader since that's what I'm most used to ^^"

Questions I have for C Control

I remember that I think a while ago, I said I'd make a post with questions I had for C Control, since personally, certain parts slightly confused me, and I came out having questions I wished the creators would've answered...So, here's that post :3

(Not sure who would need this post, but I guess I'm really just doing this for fun lol)

(Also note that really all of these questions are about Masakaki and the Midas Bank(what can I say? They're very mysterious 🤭))

-How and when were the districts made?

-What's the point for all of the districts anyway?

-Who exactly is Midas? Or, the person we saw at the end of the anime in robes?

-How were Masakaki and his 'clones' created? Why were they created?

-I just wonder, what would Masakaki do if there were several entres that needed his help at once? Would he be able to clone himself? (As if there weren't already enough Masakakis, haha...)

-What happens to the representatives when their district is destroyed? Do they also die along with it??

-So, if the Midas Bank and the representatives have likely been around for centuries, then surely the district's architecture and the bankers' clothes must've changed depending on the time period, right??? (If so, then I wonder where the bankers got all their clothes from...)

-Another question I came up with to entertain myself: I wonder how the bankers would interact with modern technology? 🤔

-Hypothetically, what would happen if the Midas Bank were to get rid of everything? Get rid of every country, every continent...Can that even happen? What would happen to the Midas Bank then?

-Other than having their districts destroyed, can the representatives die? For example, if a piano were to be dropped on them, would they die from that or would they just...Come back??

And that's all the questions I have for now...Might make a part 2 if I end up having more 🧐

Chaos Beasts Lore: Beast of Greed

Appearance: a wish titian that took on the form of a C-cleph stomached Harmonian, with his head being the most away from his body compared to other Harmonians. His halo is fully out on top of his wavy yet straight(to mimic his stomach symbol) instead of being inbeded like other harmonians. Along with having Seraphim-like features, including three pairs of wings, three rings of eyes that go around his body, and a third eye on his forehead. Sporting a dicky collar covered by a well tailored suit jacket, fedora, a locked soul locket he hides under his Dicky, and cuffs that point towards the hand with a dip in the middle. He has a few parts of him that are replaced by machine, like part of his face is replaced by a tv-like screen, and he does have some attachable extra robotic arms.

Voice: a high energy show host yet sophisticated voice with a filter of how voiced came out of old black and white and old color tvs in 1960's(Staticy and kinda like radio)

AT came from the smaller half of Equinox's wish, resulting in a need to pick a species that is relatively small to have his half give him his form. With his pick being the general of the Cupids, Tenor. Instantly creating a superiority complex where he believes that Harmonians are the superior species, and Crevons and anyone who is a dependent of Crevons(like Fallen Harmonians[stable and unstable]) are lower than dirt sense his opposite, Discord, chose to be a Crevon.

Having a high interest in business and finances, as per one of the sins/his main sin that he's made of, he got to work on building his businesses from the ground up, This corporation being AT Co., even creating a whole city where his corporation mainly resides in. The main businesses in said corporation, mirroring the sins he is(except for lust, because he gets his lust for power from controlling the city he raised), include: Tenwor Casino(Greed), Side Eye Apparel and Makeup(Envy), AT Pharmaceutical(Sloth),

He created a cult-like following for his corporation so that he doesn't have to work as hard as the CEO/Founder of his corporation, even going as far as making a completely new species, Paintonians. Which was done via him making a deal with Duskkar; a new species(that would be made by an alien species then sent to earth, so all he has to do is make the basic blueprint) for delaying his total takeover of every business in Paper Robloxia and entire land of Paper Robloxia. It was the only deal they could agree on, for he kept insisting while Duskkar kept on wanting/trying to trick AT to join his side.

One day, he spots a Harmonian female that catches his interest. A Harmonian that is seemingly a fertility goddess. Being a family man, he would want children as soon as possible. So a "fertility goddess" would be the quickest person to get children out of, he reasoned to himself. Finding himself truly falling for Staff harder than meteorites hitting the moon. Not because he was fully seduced, her smoke has no effect on him, though he was slightly seduced when Staff showed interest in him. Getting his first and only biological daughter after a week of marriage.

Getting suspicious of his wife after she started to get withdrawn around him and gone for multiple hours a day multiple times a week. Hiring one of his "Shareholders" (cult members that put the most money compared to the others[they aren't actually shareholders]) to investigate and follow her around. Getting enough evidence to figure out her adultery and about who she's cheating on him with.

After using the fallen harmonian in one of his casino's "shows"(Blood sacrifice), he found his mansion cold and empty. Only other being there being the egg Staff left behind. Being a family man at heart, he reluctantly raised the child that came out of the egg. Raising her to marry one of his cult members, and having children(those being Sharp and Flat). Once he got the now "purified" children, he sent his bastard daughter to the same fate as his ex-wife's lover and those who never paid back their loans in time.

Outside his personal life, he is one of the more powerful Beasts. Though even though he's the most powerful he's the least free, being in contract with Equinox with him as Equinox's minion essentially and also Duskkar with the deal. He's like a bird in a cage, hungry for freedom. Wanting to betray the other beasts for more power, though worrying if he does he'll lose most of his power he already has. Which is what makes him trap souls of other powerful beings, like Concord after Staff took half of the general's power without AT knowing.

The only two beast he can bear are The Beast of Pride and the Beast of Wrath. But only a little sense The Beast of Pride is his Opposite's right hand man.

Additional notes:

I kinda based him off of Alastor the Radio Demon, though only mimicking his voice and the mention Alastor did about being under contract of someone at the end of Season 1 of Hazbin Hotel. Thou even thou I based him off Alastor, I honestly see him as Vox if I ever say fuck it and make a little animation of Stayed gone with him and Duskkar (with Duskkar being a Alastor in the song obviously). A honestly far stray from his original HYS version.

Originally he was just gonna be a mob boss who runs the city his "corporation" is stationed in. Though I changed it so he's more of a monopolizing capitalist, since TVs were invented in 1927 and that's in the same century that Capitalism was starting to rise in america and he is supposed to be inspired by TV show hosts.

I didn't mention this in the main info text, because I couldn't find a place for it, but in the story; I am thinking about adding a the whole "he's looking for a new wife, so he's interviewing the many women in his cult that flocked to him when he announced he was looking." I think it would be interesting and could either eliminate him as a full threat with a new deal between him and Duskkar or add a new threat to the beasts once he finds a new wife.
