In happy news, about a year late and the day itself was pretty traumatic for him and myself, BUT Ned has been desexed and recovered!
Every dog and cat I've ever lived with has been desexed but this was the first time it was MY baby first and foremost, and the first time I was one of the 'responsible' 'adults' of the situation. So I was stressed as fuck leading up to the operation, of course during it, and for the first couple of days after it. The day of the operation was pretty horrible, I might go into that more at some point, but right now this is about good news, so!
Ned is doing great! The first day of course he was drugged out of his mind and it was a challenge just getting him home. I spent the evening sitting with his head on my lap and Ron suggested that night I take his side of the bed (closer to where Ned sleeps) which I did, and spent half the night checking on him. Am I a helicopter parent? Maybe.
BUT on the third day Ned was entirely back to his old self, and had already figured out how to stretch around two different cones and an inflatable donut to lick at his wound, which is how the introduction of sriracha sauce came to be. My mum used to be a vet nurse and suggested 'unpalatable' stuff around the wound. Vinegar, it turns out, doesn't phase Ned AT ALL, but spicy shit does. And again, got advice from my once vet nurse mum, she assured me spicy stuff wouldn't hurt his wound, which it clearly didn't.
Meanwhile he has gone entirely stir crazy not getting walked every day for TWO WEEKS and attempted to (play) fight Ron for (joke) punching my boobs. We tested this and he still tried to fight Ron about it the following six times.
Hopefully from tomorrow I can walk Ned again. He does have the dissolvable stitches (because the vet didn't want to deal with him again) that haven't fully gone yet so that may slow things down a little. But overall we're doing well and Ned is thriving and hopefully soon we can socialise him with people outside the family he met as a puppy.

Draco’s Entrance
Hi! It has been a while, but I should be updating again in a couple of days. I started school again, so that means I will be procrastinating on my homework to write fanfics. I have been busy looking at Harry Styles etsy shops, longing to get something, but sadly must save my money. Has anyone purchase anything interesting? Comment below. Also, comment questions you would ask Jay? The next chapter should be about learning more about Jay.
Enjoy part 4.
Part 1:Volturi
Part 2: The Truth
Part 3:Wonder
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, don't you look all motherly and comfortable with these blood-suckers," a cold, menacing voice drawled out, surprising the vampires and Bella with the sudden intrusion.
Jay did not react, knowing the familiar voice of her lover, which is the same mean tone of his when he is surrounded by unknown people.
She honestly found it adorable when he would glare like an angry animal with a cute face, but would never tell him that. Silence filled the house, no one speak, the vampire listens in, waiting for what Jay will do. Bella bites her lower lip, nervous about a fight breaking out in Edward's home, despite them having money to pay for any damages, not thinking about the magical figures in the kitchen.
Jay only smirks, striding towards Draco, hips swaying in a nonchalantly way, not worried about what Draco will do, especially knowing how stronger she is than him. She wraps her arms around his neck, not caring about his arms crossed as if on guard due to the vampire presence. His arms start to loosen, the desire to wrap his arms around her waist, but he stood his ground.
"Dray, are you jealous?" She asked, a teasing smile forming on her lips, "you know, I will always be yours," she whispers, not caring for the vampires could hear them. A small growl filled the silence after Jay stops to speak. This time she heard, making her confused as to who is making that noise.
Before she could ask about the growl, Draco pulled her closer to his body, enveloping her in, claiming her cherry red lips for his own, hungrily and longing to make up for the lost time of their vacation. Jay's eyes widen at the sudden movement, forgetting  Draco's need to "claim" her in a manly way, but she did not mind when she feels those soft lips on hers that still give her butterflies like the day of the Yule Ball. His fingers gently glide against her back, daringly as they get closer to the hem of her top, thinking it was only the two of them in the room. Jay smiles in the kiss, feeling a bit ticklish, but not about to expose herself like that. Jay gently pushes him away, face slightly red, lips slightly open to help gain her breathing back.
Draco smirks, looking as if he was not affected by the little make-out session the two just had. He walks over to the blonde-haired vampire, who has Teddy in her arms. " I would like my cousin," Draco told her in an icy tone, which would help him get his way, but the woman does not budge; she glares at him. "It's okay, Rosalie. He is just in a bad mood, don't pay him attention. When he realizes you are not noticing him, then he will go pout in a corner," Jay teased, walking over to the two, getting Teddy from Rosalie grasp.
Snickers surround the five as they make their way to the living room (Draco more like trailing behind, scoffing at the riddles situation he is in). "I do not pout, " he replies, crossing his arms once again, before giving a quick overview of Teddy, wanting to make sure he did not get hurt.
Sitting on the couch, Jay smiles happily, missing the pouting form of Draco, since he did not like showing that side of him with his Slytherin friends or her friends. Draco sat on the armrest, not fully trusting the family of vampires, knowing any minute one could go berserk for their sweet magical blood.
Bella could not stop staring at the man next to her cousin. She could not help the green monster fill her as she realizes the handsome man must be Jay's partner. Something about him screamed bad boy to Bella, which made her feel nervous in a positive way. 'Are all the guy's Jay know to look like that,' Bella thought, feeling her check burn as she saw him look at her for a second, but then looks next to her. Bella shifts her eyes to the floor, hoping her hair would cover her flaming cheeks, not needing anyone to notice; especially, Edward. 'Thank goodness he can't hear my thoughts."
Draco hated being in the room with the vampires. He wanted to leave with Jay and Teddy but knew he could not convince her to leave. His eyes trailed from one vampire to the next, analyzing everything he could about them. His eyes meet a pale teen, Jay's cousin, he assumes, seeing nothing special about the girl. His eyes meet the last vampire, not liking him at all, 'probably an emo guy listening to depressing music,' Draco thinks, smirking. His eyes widen slightly, feeling someone trying to get into his mind. He narrows his eyes to see the same "emo" vampire looking worn out. 'That's what the loser gets for trying to enter a Malfoy's mind,' Draco things, glancing at Jay to see her smiling innocently. Draco softly chuckles, knowing she had something to do with the vampire's look, which he did not mind.
"So, who is this?" Esme asked, trying to deflate the tension between everyone. Esme could tell the man did not want to be there, but he was sticking around for Jay.
"This is Draco," Jay said, shifting so Teddy could bounce on her knee, while one of her hands lay on Draco's thigh, noticing her cousin's look. Draco loosened at her touch but still guarded.
"Did you talk to Harry?" Jay asked, already knowing the answer, but she did wonder what Harry would say.
"Yeah, and he was worried about the two of you. He then started ranting on how I could leave the two of you, not knowing you left me," Draco drawled, not liking the fact he was reprimanded by Potter.
Chuckling, Jay shakes her head, imagining Draco's face as he is being lectured from Harry. "Hey, at least you never experienced Hermione's lectures," Jay said, shivering at the scary memory. "Did you get the thing I asked for?" She asked, knowing he would have completed the errand real quickly because he is a Malfoy.
Draco reaches in his pocket, pulling out a few papers and a set of keys. "I still don't know why you wanted this," Draco grumbles, handing the items to his girlfriend, grumpy for the trouble he had to go through.
Jay winks at Draco, not commenting, before looking at the vampires. Everyone was staring at the little family, which made Jay feel like she was at Hogwarts again.
Jay sat next to Harry, piling food on her plate, hearing the whispers, but not caring. She had to deal with people talk about her all her life, so people gossiping about her is not fazing.
"Did you hear about Jay?" A second-year Ravenclaw girl questioned the girl beside her, trying to fight off the smile.
"No, what?" The friend responds, glancing at Jay through her lashes, hoping not to get caught staring. She glances back at her friend, wanting to know what is going on.
"She was caught kissing Harry's enemy. Draco Malfoy, under the willow tree," the gossip said, not bothering to be quiet, letting everyone around her hear the rumor. The Great Hall quiets down after hearing the girl speak, which makes everyone look at Harry and Jay. Ron starts choking on his food, disgusted at the thought of one of his friends with that bully. Hermione rolls her eyes, pats Ron's back, knowing the truth because she was the one that warned Jay.
Harry's green eyes flicker to her eyes, wondering how Jay would respond to the stares. Jay did warn him there would be talk, but he did not know it would be this soon. Harry felt horrible; she was experiencing people talk about her. Harry lifts his right hand, locking his fingers with her soft, pale fingers, showing he supports one of his best friends.
Jay stops piling food on her plate, surprised at Harry holding her hand, but the action does warm her heart. The tiniest smile on her face, she leans over to place her head on his shoulder, showing how grateful she felt before she began to eat. Their hands were still entwined even after the four walked off to class, not paying attention to the chatter or stares.
"I should go, my mother was looking forward to seeing Teddy again," Draco mumbles, leaning to take the boy in his arms. He gives Jay a sweet and chaste kiss on the lips, "I love you, be safe," then like that, Draco was gone.
Jay claps her hands, "Bella, are you hungry?" Bella jumps as the attention is shifted to her, which makes her quite uneasy, but she nods her head. Jay glances at Esme and Carlisle, "may I use your kitchen," as she gets up, dusting off imaginary dust.
Esme smiles brightly, standing as well," of course, dear. Would you like some help?"  Jay tilts her head, examining if Esme was seriously offering to aid before nodding.
"Sure, I would appreciate the help. Goodness knows, Bella can not cook to save her life. Also, you can ask me more questions if you have any," Jay said, following Esme to the kitchen. The other vampires and Bella stay put, not having an idea of what they should do. Edward decides to play the piano to help him think. Bella watches Edward play, still in awe over his talent. Jasper and Emmett decided to play a video game, ready to listen to the conversation in the kitchen.  Rosalie kept thinking about the baby, Teddy, who she got to hold, and how she wanted a baby. Alice was sitting, trying to get any vision, but failing miserably. Carlisle decided he was not needed, and wanted to ask Jay more questions, and went to the kitchen.
Esme and Jay began to make ravioli, talking about little things about being a vampire. When Carlisle enters, he watches the ladies talking. "Jay, I do have a few questions about the magical world, if you don't mind me asking," he states, not wanting to be rude.
Jay glances over her shoulder, beaming at the vampire doctor, "no worries. At least you ask, not like Eddie over there trying to read minds, " she mutters angrily as the act to invade her mind. The two vampires are quite, glancing at each other in concern.
"What are your questions," Jay asked, resuming cooking, missing the exchange glances of the vampires.

Could I please have an extremely fluffy prompt? You can choose either StevexBucky , RemusxSirius , DracoxHarry (The harry Potter ones could please be in hogwarts? Thank you!!)
“Do you really think he doesn’t know?” Pansy whispered to Blaise as they watched Draco in the corner working on his Potter stinks badges. “I mean he talks about him all the time. Like constantly.”
Blaise’s lips quirked into a grin. “I don’t think he has any idea,” he told her honestly. “He’s almost as clueless as Potter.”
“Shouldn’t we – you know – as his friends help him realize it for himself?” Pansy asked, her eyes glinting with the hint of a plan.
Blaise’s smile widened. “What did you have in mind?”
                                                           ***
“Ugh, this is a disgrace,” Draco said from the stands, his arms crossed over his chest as he watched Potter fight a dragon. As if St. Potter needed someone pinning more ribbons to him, now he could add dragon slayer to his many, many lists of accomplishments. “Why did they even let him compete? He’s so obviously out of his league.”
“I don’t know,” Pansy said, cocking her head to the side. “He looks really good on a broomstick, don’t you think?”
“What?” Draco spat out, looking at his friend in alarm.
“I think so too,” Blaise said, admiring Potter as he zipped through the air with the dragon hot on his tails. “Damn, the way he’s handling that dragon is pretty hot. He could handle my dragon anytime.”
“I’d go for a ride on his broomstick,” Pansy added.
Draco sputtered, his face going bright red. “What has gotten into you two?” he asked, staring at them completely baffled.
Pansy had to bite to inside of her cheek to keep from laughing as Blaise just shrugged in response.
                                                           ***
“Damn, Potter is looking good today in those jeans,” Blaise crowed, ogling Harry as he made his way to the Gryffindor table on Sunday breakfast. Potter had foregone his robes for a more casual look for the weekend. “I never realized what a nice arse he has.”
“Mmm,” Pansy hummed, licking her lips. “I could take a bite out of that.”
Neither of them missed the way Draco was growling, although they weren’t sure Draco was even aware he was doing it. “Honestly you two, isn’t it bad enough that everyone at this school fawns all over Potter. Do you have to join their mindless ranks as well?” Draco hissed at them, standing up and shoving his food away. “Crabbe, Goyle, let’s go.”
Goyle stared at his food longingly but got up from the table with Crabbe. They followed Draco out of the Great Hall, probably off to go pout somewhere and complain about Potter.
Theodore Nott slid over. “Alright, what are you two doing?”
Pansy laughed. “We’re trying to see who can get Draco to admit his crush on Potter first.”
“Why?” Nott asked, wrinkling his nose.
“Because it’d be funny?” Blaise said with a shrug. “And the course load this year isn’t exactly a lot because of the tournament. We’re bored.”
“It’s bad enough now with their constant bickering, do you really want to see them mooning all over each other?” Nott asked, glancing between Blaise and Pansy. “They’ll be insufferable.”
“What about we put some money on it?” Blaise asked, his eyes flashing with mischief. “First person to get Draco to admit he’s hot for Potter get 10 Galleons.”
“Oh you are so on,” Pansy said, shaking on it with Blaise.
“Count me in as well,” Nott said with an evil grin that would do Slytherin proud.
                                                           ***
It had been over a year and no one had gotten Draco to crack. The pot had been upped to 20 Galleons just to make things interesting but no one had managed it yet. Crabbe and Goyle had even joined in on the game even though no one was sure they really understood the rules. Crabbe had a tendency to just say “Potter, eh?” and that just made Draco go off on another tangent.
Pansy, Blaise and Nott all sat around in the Slytherin common room, groaning to each other on their utter failures.
“Maybe we should just ask him,” Pansy said, looking at the other two upside down from where her head was dangling off the sofa.
“Yeah right,” Nott said, shaking his head. “He’d just deny it. He’s clearly deep in denial about it.”
“Do we even know if he fancies blokes?” Blaise asked, scratching his chin.
Pansy snorted. “If Draco Malfoy is straight then so am I.”
Blaise and Nott shared a look. They’d both seen Pansy snogging Daphne Greengrass at the last Slytherin party.
“Maybe if we get him drunk,” Blaise offered as a suggestion. “Or slip him some Veritaserum.”
“There’s go to be a way to crack him,” Pansy said, sitting up and holding onto the sofa as the blood rushed down from her head. “There’s just got to. Come on, we’re Slytherins. We’re better than this!”
They all fell silent as Draco entered the common room with Crabbe and Goyle on his heels. He stopped when he spotted them, putting his hands on his hips. “What are you lot up to then?”
“Just talking about Potter,” Pansy said, shooting Blaise a wink.
“What has he done now?” Draco asked, his lips pressing into a thin line. It was amazing how easy it was to get him riled up where Potter was concerned.
“We were just saying he’s probably pretty well-endowed,” Blaise said, wiggling his eyebrows.
Draco rolled his eyes. “I doubt it.”
“I don’t know,” Nott said, tapping his chin thoughtfully. “He does walk with his legs pretty far apart. Have you noticed?”
Draco went red. “Of course I haven’t noticed!” he snapped at them. “Honestly, all you three have talked about for the last year has been Potter this and Potter that. It’s annoying.”
None of them bothered to point out the irony of that statement. It would have  given the game away. Pansy decided to push her luck. “Come on, the Chosen One has to have a decent sized cock. Don’t you think, Draco?”
Draco glowered at them and turned on his heels, stomping up to his dormitory without answering the question.
                                                           ***
As they were nearing the end of their fifth year, each of them was becoming more and more desperate to win. It was Blaise – in the end – who decided to go for broke. He managed to corner Potter alone outside after potions.
“Hey Potter,” he said, putting his arm up, trapping Potter against the wall outside the dungeons. “You look really nice today.” Blaise noticed Draco exit the classroom and shoot them a look.
“Uh, thanks Zabini,” Potter said, clearly caught off guard. He shuffled awkwardly and looked around, probably for Ron and Hermione.
“You know, I always thought you were cute,” Blaise said, brushing aside a bit of Harry’s hair.
In his periphery he could see Draco watching them. He practically had steam coming out of his ears. Blaise licked is lips and glanced purposefully down at Potter’s mouth.
“Zabini, what are you – “
“Shh,” Blaise said, pressing his finger against Potter’s lips. “Don’t spoil this. Why don’t you just agree to let me take you to Hogsmeade this weekend and I’ll show you the time of your life?”
“Look out!” Harry shouted, pulling out his wand just in time to throw up a shield charm to combat Draco’s hex. “Malfoy, what are you playing at?”
Draco looked ready to murder someone and Blaise wasn’t totally sure that another hex wasn’t imminent. He decided to make himself scarce before Draco made him regret sticking around.
Draco was breathing heavy, his hand curled tight around his wand, staring at Harry. Harry blinked a few times, unsure what to do or say. It had been one bloody strange afternoon and Harry hated that several people in the corridor were staring at them.
“Enjoy the show, did you?” Harry snapped at them. The crowd quickly dissipated until it was just Harry and Malfoy left.
Malfoy charged at Harry with purpose and Harry raised his wand in defense, ready to duel Malfoy if he had to. Instead Draco grabbed Harry by his robes and mashed their lips together. Harry found himself once against pressed up against the wall under Draco’s onslaught. Harry couldn’t help the way his lips began responding, encouraged by the little hums and whines Malfoy was making.
Draco broke the kiss but kept his hands grasping at Harry’s robes. They both panted as they stared at each other in disbelief over what had just occurred. “Potter,” Draco snarled. “Fuck you.”
Harry laughed. “Fuck you too, Malfoy.”
Draco scowled at him. “If you got to Hogsmeade with anyone but me this weekend they will be in for a very unpleasant surprise.”
Harry snorted, shoving Malfoy away and fixing his robes. “Such a charmer,” he quipped. “Do you always threaten your dates like this?”
“Who said it was a date, Potter?” Draco said snidely. He stepped away and put his hair back into place.
“Isn’t it?” Harry challenged, raising an eyebrow. “You did just almost hex Zabini for chatting me up and then kiss me. I thought the odds were pretty good you were trying to ask me out.”
Draco looked around as if to make sure no one was watching them. “Fine, it’s a date, Potter,” he hissed out. “Wear those nice Muggle jeans you have. They look good on you.” With that, Draco strode down the corridor towards the Slytherin common room with Harry staring after him. Draco Malfoy had just said Harry looked nice. He had complimented Harry willingly.
Just what was the world coming to?
                                                           ***
“Nine…ten…” Pansy said, counting out her half owed to Zabini for winning the bet. “I can’t believe you won. I’m so angry.”
Blaise grinned and pulled is twenty Galleons closer to himself, admiring his winnings. “Drastic measures had to be taken.”
“Why didn’t think of flirting with Potter?” Pansy groaned, falling dramatically onto the sofa. “That was a stroke of genius.”
“I can’t believe Potter had to save you from Draco’s hex,” Nott said, shaking his head.
“Do you think they’re having a good time of their date?” Blaise asked, smirking at the very thought of it.
“It’ll be a miracle if those two don’t kill each other,” Pansy responded, examining her blood red nails.
“Did someone win the bet?” Goyle asked, frowning in confusion.
Pansy and Blaise rolled their eyes at each other with Goyle’s obtuseness. Didn’t he know Draco and Harry were at Hogsmeade together? Draco had warned that if he caught any of them following him and Harry he would make them regret it. They knew better to test Draco – at least with his knowledge – so they all decided to skip Hogsmeade for the weekend.
They sat around joking and discussing how the date was probably going, wondering if Draco had screwed it all up yet. They were laughing as they guessed what jinx Harry would use on Draco if the evening went poorly.
They all went quiet as two figures entered the common room, Draco dragging Potter along behind him. “No one come upstairs,” he ordered, tugging Harry up to their dormitory, Potter’s face as red as a beet. They all looked at each other and burst out laughing.
Apparently the date had gone very well indeed.
