Wait why not call it 'agent and object voice' instead of 'passive and active' voice? Feels more intuitive to me
#linguistics#my speech#language learning#tagalog makes more sense to me saying it this way#active andpassive i get are intuitive to english since the voice of transitive verbs gives a sense of targeting and action by the subject#by default. but idk.... a lot of linguistic jargon is so weirdly named lol why were white linguists so obsessed w greek and latin#just use normal words that make SENSE so i can get thru thisssss 😤
