Trick or treat!
Felix is still a baby in the selkie/shark merman AU so I haven’t had the chance to write out the scene where he and Dimitri meet yet, but I’ve outlined his selkie family tree and done a little worldbuilding. The selkies call themselves Ronan and the shark mermen call themselves Merrow. I want to incorporate the Red Demon from the Fears and Frights of Fódlan somehow, but I haven’t figured out how yet
Thank you for the ask! ☺️

That bruise looks so painful
Indeed. You can see she’s covered it with some makeup, but it’s still extensive - and that’s after nearly three weeks! It must’ve been so sore 🥺

Wildflowers in subalpine meadows are winding down, but late blooming wildflowers are still abundant. Look for plenty of Cascade aster, pearly everlasting, and fireweed around Paradise and other locations. Along trails, even one patch of wildflowers can make an impression, like this photo of broadleaf arnica (Arnica latifolia) in front of Comet Falls.
Remember to please stay on trail! It doesn’t take many steps to trample the wildflowers you are coming to see. Many trails offer great opportunities for that perfect  mountain (or waterfall) + wildflower photo. Where are you finding wildflowers?
For updates on what’s blooming where visit https://go.nps.gov/RainierWildflower
Unfamiliar with Mount Rainier’s wildflower species? Check out the wildflower guide at https://go.nps.gov/RainierWildflowerGuide

trick or treat!! :D
☺️ thank you! Here’s a little excerpt from a “return to your hometown romance” AU I started writing for dimilix that was inspired by a tweet Freya wrote about Felix and Dimitri reconnecting as adults and Felix realizing Dimitri is a single father now.
Here’s Dimitri having tea time with his five year old daughter and some of her toys:
“I’m gonna pour,” Lynette said, picking up the plastic teapot. Carefully she tipped it over the pink plastic cups set before each toy and Dimitri.
“Thank you,” Dimitri said, lifting his teacup to his mouth.
Before he could take a pretend sip, Lynette hissed, “Not yet, Daddy. You have to chat first.”
“Oh, right, my mistake.” He turned to the stuffed pegasus next to him. “How was your day, Peggy?”
“Peggy says it was good but too rainy to fly today,” Lynette replied.
“That’s a shame,” Dimitri said. “But I heard it should be sunny tomorrow. A perfect day to stretch her wings.”
Lynette nodded. “Peggy says she would like that.”
After Lynette recounted the complaints Miss Darkness, the black stuffed cat, had about the price of fish, she said, “Now it’s time to drink.”
Dimitri raised his teacup.
Lynette reached over and knocked one of the Barbies onto the floor. She looked up at Dimitri, her blue eyes wide. “Barbie’s dead, the tea was poisoned!”

Time for even more lore, I am just drawing these backgrounds.
The town of Liverwater is the most populated settlement within a massive tract of land known as the Sierra Frontier. The frontier extends from the west coast of a continent called Iruraca to the center of it. Despite being the most populated settlement within this frontier, Liverwater is a pretty dismal place. The main export of the town is a massive amount of Liverbulbs, farmed year-round thanks to the temperate, humid climate of the area.
The only other notable thing about Liverwater is its proximity to a lot of still active ancient structures. These buildings and their robotic personnel have been active for longer than written record, and strangely the ancient technology around Liverwater is in even better condition than similar structures located throughout the world.
Though, for the residents of Liverwater this mostly just means they get to spend more time fending off the errant, aggressive automations that manage to trudge into the town.
