just noodlin' abt what i'm gonna make my rook w latest faction/class spoilers so it's behind the cut

i'm usually a rogue main, it's always my first choice in any fantasy game, but i watched a video and i am so 👀 about mages with the added ability to melee. specifically spellblade is really interesting me rn that's what i'm leaning towards at this stage

i'm honestly not super pumped about most of the given faction bgs with the exception of mourn watch, which sounds extremely cool but is also very much not my thing. shadow dragons have been the one interesting me since the first like one sentence we got, but i think it's a real shame for the one faction to do with tevinter slavery that rook doesn't seem to have a like, direct connection to that in some way? and especially for non-human races like are they going to give us any reasoning for why a presumably human military family would adopt an elf or qunari? i can work round it but i have things i want to KNOW

like it's bw i never feel beholden to stick to the letter of what they give you if i bring a character to rp (like lmao the one warden i write isn't even a canon origin, my cousland isn't a warden at all), but most of the faction bgs feel similar which doesn't make me super hopeful that there'll be a lot of delving into rook's bg. and race plays a big element in da, it's weird that the bgs are exactly the same, to the point of i believe surnames being faction and not race based, when an elf or a circle mage would have a v different experience to a human warrior.

so probably gonna do either human or elf mage shadow dragon to start. i will probably do a gréta run at some point (human warrior grey warden), but i know i'll want to do a rogue, maybe a veil jumper?

i have so many weird feelings about the future. outside of my real life, which is something i don't wanna discuss right now, i feel this... approaching melancholy about the fact that somewhat soon, legends ZA will come out and everyone will start focusing on that. don't get me wrong, i AM excited, especially after my latest replay of XY and realizing just how much this new game could bring to the table that wasn't anywhere near explored in the og games... but...

can i just say this is the first time in a long time where i feel like i don't want to leave the region? for as flawed as scarvio are, they've become some of my favorite games in the franchise for different reasons. leaving just feels... wrong, in some way. and yeah yeah, i know, just because we move on to a new region doesn't mean everyone is going to forget about scarvio or that everyone in the fandom will leave it behind or anything like that, but...

since dppt and bw/2, these games feel like home to me. maybe it's the fact that paldea is directly based on the iberian peninsula and i'm spanish, but this game has made me feel so seen. not to mention it's got one of my favorite stories in the franchise, and i love most characters in this game to bits. and i mean, they made me come back to the rp scene here on tumblr after i left in 2018, so YOU KNOW they've altered my brain chemistry HARD lmaoo

just feeling a bit irrationally sad that it won't be in the spotlight anymore i guess...

outside of that, i'm also grappling with weird feelings regarding my future(?) geeta blog. i know rping is just for fun, but i always take the way i portray characters super seriously, sticking to canon as much as possible (while adding a lot of headcanons ofc) and i'm generally just hard on myself lol. i do think i have a good english level (i got a C1 bordering on C2, ffs!), but i've always found it insanely hard to write characters that talk very politely, so i'm very VERY scared of fucking it up and making geeta sound either too overtly polite or too casual on accident ajahfjfhdjfh

i also... well. this is related to personal issues. but i find my geeta hard to visualize without taking my rika's story into account. what i mean by that is that i think that, unless it's a non-canon verse, rping with other rikas as geeta would be a bit hard for me?

this is not me saying my fellow rika rpers aren't ''good enough'' or whatever, fyi, i'm just saying that i'm very particular about the way their friendship develops in my head and i don't want to/i'm not going to enforce anyone to follow that 'canon' so to speak. doesn't mean that rping with other rikas is off the table, just that it'd probably have to be a non-canon separate verse, just like how this blog has the tierra diferente verse. does that make sense...?

and of course and most importantly... y'all don't know just how specific and defensive i am about geeta. the amount of terrible misrepresentation and villifying i see of her is just unbearable every single time. i fucking hate evil geeta AUs, sorry. i hate the interpretation that she abuses the people that work under her management. i hate the constant ''worst champion'' bs, i hate that people think she's shady or say that she shows no emotions. it's just. i can't. i'm tired of seeing that shit every single time. so i end up sitting down and asking myself ''is making a geeta blog a mistake??? should i just keep it low activity???? should i just not make the blog????''

so yeah. fun!

Ranting about that pokemon rp because I can't be normal anymore. We've had this going for two years. And a lot of shit happened

-All the drama from Unova and the bw games is canon + some things that we added for fun. It was with our main ocs

-we created a new region called Akkosia, with two legendaries & all. Unethical experiments & shit happened, someone was fusioned with his pokemon (it was my best friend Polaris), we overthrew the government, had to murder some evil people, took over the damned league, and had about 16 near death experiences. The whole Akkosia arc was insanely fun except that I probably cried 17 times because of Polaris alone.

And this is where it gets messy because we have like. 5 perspectives, all at once.

- had a sort of "beach episode" where our main characters spent a few days planning a festival in Alola. One of my oc (Sacha, whose best friend is Hoopa), met the love of his life (Marisa, whose best friend is Celebi). They also met Fukaku (he'll be more relevant later) *

-while this was happening, a guy from Akkosia (Mizuki) went to Kalos with his girlfriend (a former member of the Akkosia league / she was a villain but then she was spared). Most events from the Kalos games happened except like. 10 times worse. There was a second criminal organisation at work.

-Eden (former team Flare member, who was badly injured when the Supreme Weapon fired) was saved by Ringer (former member of the Black Eagles, the second evil organization) and they both had a lesbian escapade in. Spain. Where, after they got engaged, lost their house to a dramatic incident involving Darkrai (note: Darkrai used to belong to Mizuki).

-Darkrai Was caught by someone who can casually break the fourth wall, who gave an existential crisis to Eden, before she tried to find an "entertaining solution" in order to avoid catastrophes.

*going back to the main cast for a second. They went to Kalos because Sacha is looking for Hoopa's vase. Did I mention there's a cult in Kalos? Marisa traveled back in time hundred of times, in order to prevent Sacha from getting KILLED and he couldn't remember any of it

After this, they avoided problems a bit. Oh. No they didn't. Sacha and Marisa left to go on vacations in Kanto. It ended up terribly.

-Ringer faked her death. Eden joined team Rocket alongside Livio and Ekuren. They took over Kanto, became literally the best trio. Until they found Polaris (who is an escaped experiment), so Livio went ballistic (he's an experiment aswell and used to know Polaris until he abandoned him) so there was an entire arc where team Rocket was after Polaris (and they succeeded in catching him)

-The leader of team Rocket was eaten by Giratina and thus set Polaris free.

*A big cult, calling themselves "The Family" gained in influence. A small girl ran away and met the main group. Unfortunately, she's always been a bit different, but she befriended Fukaku, and they had a sibling - like relationship.

-Fukaku hunt down. And killed. All leaders of the Family. With one exception, being Mei, since she was mostly endoctrinated and not beyond reasoning

-Got tracked down by one experiment / daughter of one of the leaders (Orion), who was, in fact, spared. And who had to live with them, in order to repair her mecha

-Every single character was invited to a wedding (Sacha and Marisa). Even team Rocket.

Team Rocket got their redemption arc when the leader almost died so it's fine.

ALL THESE STORIES HAPPENING ALL AT Once and it's so hard to keep track of everything. I can't I legit cant'.

I have been mentally ill about this rp for. Years. And. Lukas. My bestie. Has the audacity to kill Fukaku after shit went down

So many character I didn't even mention Arael & Prismo, nor the Kalos dlc with Lyn & Floyd. I didn't even mention Yumeko (my boy) & Mikoto (Livio's lost brother)

So many things.

And the main characters

None of them had died thus far.

Unti' NOW.

But hey, at least I get to be happy Sacha and Pola are finally together again and this time they have something in common: they're both trans.

Behind the Muses: Hanako “Hana“ Mishima (Hugh’s little sister)

Hana was actually the first character out of the four main muses on my blog I actually started to experiment RPing with before I actually started this RP blog and the irony of Hugh knowing his sister’s and his family friend just happens to be a Team Plasma grunt that happens to be on Ghetsis’ faction and the conflicts as a result

I originally RP’d her as being a gentle, forgiving, cheerful and kindhearted girl but as I continued, I gave her more of an assertive and a extremely resentful side to her overtime aswell as toning down the cheerfulness and even actually added characterization to the grunts who stole her Purrloin doing so.

I originally also wrote her as 7-8 prior but aged her u to 9-10 years of age as this would fit her Purrloin’s theft by Team Plasma five years prior to B2W2.

I also originally wrote Hana forgiving the two grunts but then turned my back on the idea as it would make more sense, their Pokémon torturing Purrloin and traumatizing her and Hugh would fit it better also worked better with her and Hugh’s dynamic of Burning Rage and Freezing Hatred.

Hana’s abilities actually came from something after you beat the main game where she congratulates you on finding her stolen Purrloin (now Liepard, which I adapted out as her portrayal is a mix of manga and game) and tells you about N’s Zoroark.

This led to the HC she used this to spy on N’s Castle as she could sense Wesker’s presence there.

The headcanon behind Frieden came from me finding out she now owned a Deino during the prologue of B2W2 aswell as her returned Purrloin

I personally headcanon this specific Deino was originally Ghetsis’ as it fitted with the duality motif of Pokémon BW and its sequel as Wesker was stolen by Team Plasma and Frieden was a Team Plasma Pokémon by birth due to being sired by Ghetsis’ Hydreigon.

Coincidentally on the VIZ releases of the B2W2 Volumes 1 and 4, Ghetsis’ plans and Hana receiving her Purrloin and Ghetsis being arrested and Hana having her Purrloin back respectively happened on the same page layout which added more to the duality motif.

I also give Hana a calmer nature to contrast with Hugh’s rage towards Team Plasma, She isn’t upset at Abby, just the grunts for the stress they put her, Abby and Hugh through, she’s calm, gentle and sweet as long as you don’t annoy the crap out of her.

So this explains her calm nature when on the Plasma Frigate (the infirmary to be specific)

I also used this lore to establish the relationship between Donna and Cletus (the grunts under Giallo in the manga) and Hugh and Hana, the latter in particular, since it was shown both grunts were clearly proud of ‘liberating the very first Pokémon’ despite being quite cowardly when Hugh fought them again in B2W2 and still remained loyal to Ghetsis as they were in Neo Team Plasma aswell as made it clear.

I wrote them as hating Hana for having her Purrloin back and having their boss’ Deino, the fact they were the ones who caused Hana’s previous fear of Deino due to using one, I sort of imagined them not taking either well.

So I imagine will fight her with every chance they get but Hana not being the 5 year old they hurt anymore fights back with nothing but cold hatred and resentment for what they did to her, Mark and Abby, her battling style unlike Hugh taking enemies on is referred to as ‘survival horror’, which also suits the duality between both siblings.

Info about my OC:

basically Blake is my protag in several pkmn games, specifically SW/SH, X/Y, and B/W! the timeline of those games’ stories are in that specific order in my OCverse. (Pretty much any semblance of a canon timeline in the games is destroyed in my OCverse, except for any games w/ sequels like Gen1/Gen2 or BW/BW2. I’ll probably put together a proper timeline eventually, but essentially it’s just in the order I played all the games. Rn that order is FRLG -> HGSS -> SM -> ORAS -> SWSH -> XY -> DPPT/BDSP -> BW -> PLA -> SV -> BW2)

Bio: Blake was born in Nuvema Town, where they lived until they were around seven before moving to Aspertia City. They lived there until they were about thirteen, before moving to Postwick in the Galar region with their mother. There, they met one of their best friends, Hop. At the time, Blake was super closed off and shy, as their social anxiety made making friends difficult. The only one they’ve ever really let their guard down with was Hop. Watching Leon’s matches on TV with Hop was what inspired them to become a trainer, though for many years they didn’t actually think it’d be possible for them- considering they came from a family who didn’t really like Pokemon, therefore they had nowhere near as much experience with them like Hop did. They feared their social anxiety would get in the way, too.

Once they were 16, they unexpectedly got their first Pokemon from Leon- a Sobble named Kappa. After getting endorsed by Leon and some encouragement from Hop, they agreed to sign up for the Gym Challenge. They had a rocky start- losing battles pretty frequently was putting a huge dent in their already low self-esteem, and it was impacting Kappa as well. But over time they learned the ropes of being a trainer and was quickly becoming a rising star amongst the Gym Challengers. They went on to stop the Darkest Day along with Hop, catch Eternatus, become champion, and earn the trust of Zacian.

During their reign as champion, they trained at the Isle of Armor and explored the Crown Tundra. These small adventures slowly helped them realize just how much pressure their title was putting on them- and finally caused them to slip up during the final match of the next year’s Gym Challenge.

After losing their title, they decided to look for a new path- which lead them to Kalos, where they helped in putting a stop to Team Flare’s plan and caught Yveltal, and eventually back to Unova, where they fought against Team Plasma alongside Reshiram. Following the defeat of Plasma, they’ve enrolled as a college student at Blueberry Academy- and have done quite a lot in the past two years, such as visiting the Paldea region and catching more Pokémon. Now, they’ve returned to Unova, and are resting after having helped in the fight against Kyurem.

Blake is also the main character in my comics, Adventures in Kalos (on my instagram @/xgolden_latiasx) and Unova Fates (on Tumblr, insta, and webtoon). this blog will probably contain spoilers for those comics!

all three of these characters are friends with multiple legendaries, so if they seem overpowered to you… sorry? I’m just having fun over here. they don’t really use any of them for battle that often, though they might threaten to sic their legendary on someone as a joke (but they won’t actually). but as of right now the only legendary that’s actively with the group is Reshiram, he’s the only one who’ll get involved in whatever shenanigans/event the gang finds themselves in. (Unless I’m participating in an event from another person and they say they don’t want Reshiram involved.)

I’m relatively willing to join in on high stakes stuff as long as I feel up to it, but please ask me first if you want one of my characters to actively participate somehow.

also, this blog runs with the idea that Rotomblr is a weird site that links other universes together. So for example say if… Kalos is blowing up or something on another person’s blog and someone tries to get Auberi involved, I’m just going to say it’s happening in a different universe. Or if a different SWSH/XY/BW/PLA protag character tries to interact.
