ah shit, ah fuck, he did it. Snyder made an actually good movie that's not just interesting or compelling. Snyder's pulp masterpiece. this movie is the first Mother Box. everyone who liked the anti-art garbage that was Captain America: Civil War over this unrivaled phenomenon of spectacle and a meditation on The Meaning of Justice owes Snyder an apology. we as a culture failed when Civil War got made, and we failed even more when that got praised while this got bombarded with hate. this has A Lot of issues, but like it improves so astronomically on its predecessor that they're not even worth comparing. a dialectic on what Justice is, that just forgets about that and distracts you with incredible spectacle because we got a super-villain to deal with. Snyder unfortunately still can't escape his Nolan-ic tendencies. it feels like Man of Steel was a project somebody hired Zack Snyder to do and this is the movie Zack Snyder actually wanted to make, this is basically a rebuke to all the godly readings of Man of Steel. like Man of Steel before it, this is also kinda M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass (2019), except less radical as almost all its messages get blunted, probably by corporate. here's another fucking review it took me almost 5 hours to write lmao.

The Sims 2 Disc Installation and fix guide for Windows 10/11 PCs
I’ve been seeing around the internet people demonizing the discs and saying they are “bad” “old” “unsupported” “buggy” “ancient” and a bunch of other bad words and also outright refusing to give support to disc users.
I’m writing this guide to hopefully instruct people on how to properly install, fix and run their disc based The Sims 2 game and also educate you on why the discs are not as bad as everyone makes them to be.
Just a warning: I’m a Windows 10 user, I don’t know if exactly everything is going to be 100% accurate to Windows 11, but the game SHOULD work the same on it.
First things first, some clarifications about common misconceptions of both the Ultimate Collection and TS2 disc games I’ve been seeing being tossed around:
1. The Ultimate Collection has compatibility patches for modern hardware:
This one is actually kinda true? The UC did have some patches made to it compared to a fully patched disc game but no one has been able to tell what exactly it did.
A fully patched, fixed and correctly installed disc game should work the same as the Ultimate Collection, with no difference in compatibility or game performance.
2. SecuROM doesn’t work on modern OSes so you can’t run the game off the discs:
Totally untrue. People who says SecuROM doesn’t work on Windows 10/11 haven’t actually tried running a game that uses it at all. It 100% works even on Windows 11. What doesn’t work on modern OSes is SafeDisc, which all packs released before Bon Voyage used. So if you install BV and any pack released after it, the game IS going to run normally as it’s using SecuROM instead.
3. But SecuROM makes the game lag:
True, for some machines it does happen. But as I will explain in the guide, you can uninstall SecuROM with the official removal tool and just use NoCD executables to have it not install itself again.
4. The discs requires Flash and it’s been deprecated:
No, the discs DO NOT require Flash. The only thing that uses it in the setup is a pop up that used to ask you if you wanted to register your game. Since of course you can’t register it anymore, you can just close it and it WILL NOT affect anything.
That out of the way, let’s get to the guide!
What you are going to need:
-All original TS2 patches released by EA back in the day: They’re all hosted HERE on ModTheSims.
Please, be aware that there may be multiple variatons of a patch. You need to pick the right one for your game. If you have The Sims 2 Base Game DVD version, you will have to download the second option where it says “DVD Patch Notes”, for example. For Pets and Seasons the “DD” patches mean Digital Download, so if you have them on either CD or DVD them both are going to use the “Disk Patch” If you seem to be not able to download them, right click the download link and choose “Save Link As”.
If you have The Sims 2 Deluxe / Double Deluxe / Holiday Edition / Other compilations you’re not going to need the Base Game patch as those versions are already updated!! You also don’t need the Nightlife patch if you have Deluxe or Double Deluxe!! The same thing applies for the Collections: You don’t need to patch their EPs!!
-Grumpy Loader: Get it HERE on ModTheSims.
-If you have Bon Voyage and/or packs released after it... SecuROM Removal Tool: Get it HERE.
-If you have Mansion & Garden Stuff... Sims2RPC: Get it HERE on ModTheSims by @lazyduchess! If you DO NOT have this pack, you’re going to need to source a NoCD executable of the game based on your latest installed pack.
-If you DO NOT Have Mansion & Garden Stuff... 4GB Patch: Get it HERE.
-Graphics Rules Maker: Get it HERE.
Having downloaded everything, you can start inserting your Base Game disc one! Or your Base Game DVD!
Installing the Base Game:
There’s no mystery in this part, install your game normally as you would back in 2004 following the instructions of the setup.
Three of the biggest problems I’ve seen people have when installing the Base Game is:
1. I get a red pop up saying “This app has been blocked for your protection”
This happens usually on Double Deluxe games and later EPs such as Bon Voyage, FreeTime and Apartment Life.
There’s two ways you can circumvent this. First one is the one that I personally prefer:
-Open the Task Manager -On the top left, click “File” -Click “Run new task” -Click “Browse...” -Now go to your disc drive in your PC and open it, select Autorun.exe -The target box should be pointing to “D:\Autorun.exe”. The “D” letter changes depending on what letter your disc drive is set to in your PC -Check the “Create this task with administrative privileges” box -Now click OK.
The setup is going to run normally now. When you are installing EPs that show you this error, you can do the same thing to every one.
The other way is just to change your PC’s date to somewhere before 2020. This is going to work too, I can’t explain to you why though! Something about licenses expiring!
2. I get a Flash pop up when I try to install!
As I explained earlier, you can just close it and the installation will continue normally.
3. The setup just hangs at a specific percentage and won’t progress anymore!
This is mosty probably the setup asking you to swap discs! DVD users do not have this problem. What happens sometimes is that the setup GUI is supposed to make a pop up window appear in front of the GUI asking you to swap to disc 2, but on modern OSes it doesn’t appear sometimes. Actually, it does. It just is in the background, if you minimize every open window on your machine you’re going to see the little pop up! Just swap to disc 2 and press “Ok” on the pop up and it should resume installing. The same thing can happen when having to switch to Discs 3 and 4.
After installing the Base Game:
Yay, you did it! See how the discs aren’t the devil??
So, after installing the base game you are going to need to patch it.
Open GrumpyLoader, on the top left select “Load...” and on the window that opens, choose the Base Game patch’s executable you’ve downloaded and open it. It’s going to automatically patch your game, if you are on the 4 CD version of the game you may have to swap discs. Sometimes GrumpyLoader throws errors when updating, especially when it ends. But you can just ignore it.
After patching, your Base Game is FULLY installed and properly patched, congratulations!!!
But if you didn’t already try, you will see that you can’t run the game as it doesn’t open. That’s because the Base Game uses SafeDisc that doesn’t work on modern OSes as I said earlier.
Installing Expansion and Stuff Packs:
It’s the same process of installing the Base Game. Follow the setup instructions. After installing each one, PATCH them with GrumpyLoader. For example: you just installed University! Do NOT immediately install another pack right after.  Follow the same GrumpyLoader patching process you did on the Base Game but choose the University patch instead. Do the same thing to ALL EPs and Family Fun Stuff.
Also, there has been some info online about installing packs out of release order can mess up your game.
I personally don’t think it’s true as I never had any problems but I prefer to be better safe than sorry.
If you want to, Install them in this order:
-University (or University Life Collection) -Nightlife (skip if you have The Sims 2 Deluxe/Double Deluxe) -Christmas Party Pack (I don’t recommend if you have Happy Holiday Stuff or The Sims 2 Holiday Edition)  -Open For Business (or Best of Business Collection) -Family Fun Stuff (or Fun with Pets Collection) -Glamour Life Stuff -Pets (skip if you have Fun with Pets Collection) -Happy Holiday Stuff (skip if you have The Sims 2 Holiday Edition) -Seasons -Celebration Stuff (skip if you have The Sims 2 Double Deluxe) -H&M Stuff (skip if you have Best of Business Collection) -Bon Voyage -Teen Style Stuff (skip if you have University Life Collection) -FreeTime -Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff (skip if you have Best of Business Collection) -IKEA Home Stuff (skip if you have University Life Collection) -Apartment Life -Mansion & Garden Stuff (skip if you have Fun with Pets Collection)
If you’ve installed all packs, great! You can even launch your game from SP9′s (Mansion & Garden Stuff) disc and executable as it uses SecuROM which WORKS on modern OSes.
Getting your game to work properly:
Your game is fully installed, patched and even running if you have Bon Voyage and later released packs!
But you probably noticed very heavy lag, crashing, bad graphics and things not running as they should. That’s because, just like the Ultimate Collection, the game is a PITA to get running properly on Modern OSes! If you have Bon Voyage and/or later released packs: I HIGHLY recommend you to uninstall SecuROM from your machine. This is going to help greatly with game performance. Use the SecuROM Removal Tool I’ve linked earlier and remove it from your PC. Do NOT open the game again as it’s going to install itself again if you do so.
If you have Mansion & Garden Stuff: After uninstalling SecuROM, you’re going to need to install Lazy Duchess’ Sims2RPC Launcher I’ve linked earlier. Follow their instructions on the download page and be sure to apply the 4gb patch in the launcher as it’s going to GREALTY help with the crashing.
Or... if you DO NOT have Mansion & Garden Stuff: Get an appropriate NoCD executable for the pack you are using to launch your game and apply the 4GB patch to it. Open the 4GB patch executable and use it on your game’s exe.
After doing all that, all that remains is fixing your game performance, resolution and graphics!
Install Graphics Rules Maker and open it. Firstly, you’re going to have to add your Graphics card to the game’s database. To do that, go the “Device Info” tab and add it there.
Back to the “Settings” tab, be sure your game is set to “The Sims 2″ and is properly recognizing where your game is installed, if for some reason it isn’t, click “Browse...” and point it to your latest installed pack’s folder. For example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff”.
-Force Texture Memory: Use the auto-detect button and it should automatically calculate the best value for your graphics card.
Check “Disable texture memory estimate adjustment” and “Enable driver’s memory manager” boxes. If you have an AMD Radeon HD 7000 series, also check the “Fix AMD Radeon HD 7000 series recognition”. If you have Intel integrated graphics, check the last two boxes. Now you can set your resolution! Choose your default (which one the game is going to start with) and maximum resolution your game is going to support.
After doing all that, you can click “Save Files...”
And... Done! You got your disc-based The Sims 2 game fully working, properly patched and fixed!!!
Any Feedback on how to improve this guide is very welcome!
Happy Simming, y’all!!! :)

Everybody is always hating on Batman v Superman, and although I've only seen tiny snippet of it, it looks pretty good (idk, maybe I am just a big fan of DC and am blind)
So why do ppl hate on it sm? Do you know or have an idea?
I mean, there are some glaring issues in the original version that are somewhat resolved by the ultimate version, which is quite long.
Some genuine issues I can think of off the top of my head are:
Pacing. So much happens so quickly while other parts drag. It feels like a script that was either not edited or edited down too quickly.
Lex’s plans require a lot of after the fact dot connecting for certain so called “plot holes” to make sense. They’re not overtly shown on screen and several connections are disrupted by the original cut and only resolved in the ultimate.
Bruce was dark in a somewhat believable way depending on the iteration of Batman you’re pulling from the source material. But he’s at the end of his career and it wasn’t the launch of Affleck’s batman as a lot of people expected/wanted. His arc is 60% done by this point.
References to what I call “dead ends.” Snyder sneaks in references and scenes about Robin’s death, the Joker, and the future of an evil superman. These don’t further the plot at all. They confused audiences who weren’t familiar with the source material. These scenes never end up happening in the DCEU or are ever really mentioned again.
Valuable screen time is used to set up the Justice League movie. This was perhaps not done as convincingly as it could’ve been.
BVS Superman is a continuation of MOS Clark. People didn’t like MOS Clark very much. They, of course, didn’t realize this until BVS.
Some scenes really were too dark to see much and not on purpose. Sorry Snyder — I like it for Bruce’s Batman scenes, but it’s so hard to watch with any lights on.
There’s a LOT of debate over whether the fight scene between Batman and Superman could have even happened. To which I say, of course Clark didn’t just randomly kill him right away? He cares about people? That’s Bruce’s true plot armor — Clark’s humanity. But yeah, of course it was never a feasible match up.
Bruce uses near-lethal or arguably lethal force frequently in the movie. Did we see anyone die? No. But could they have? Absolutely. He doesn’t seem very torn up about this, or the the fact that the brand he gives results in murder. Is this a corruption of batman as a character? Does it gel with certain characterizations and not others? Hotly debated.
I reiterate that I enjoy the movie (esp the ultimate cut) even if it has less likable parts. I watched it three times in theaters. And now I write for this fandom! So, I appreciate BVS 💜

We had it all & it got pissed away... Now you wanna start anew? A new universe that's built as comic-accurate as possible sounds wonderful on paper. Idk how the casual audience will take to a new universe if the one they got before was pretty much taken out before it could reach anywhere near it's full potential.
I'm very skeptical of The DCU because it feels like an unearned second chance for me. I want to be excited about James Gunn's Superman movie, but I just can't be. If it's a good movie, then great. I'll be able to watch it after I watch Man Of Steel & BVS Ultimate Edition lol
I just want to be excited about The DCU, but all I feel is at worst apathy and at best cautious optimism.
Hope James Gunn will make The DCU a mix between The DCAU & The Arkhamverse.

i have a LOOOT of hollow knight thoughts because i recently opened up the game and started playing but err. copypasting some analysis(? it's more me rambling and hallucinating a game of connect-the-dots. still fun though)
i also want to mention this post which literally changed my brain chemistry and sort of spurred me to think about lost kin a little bit more. give it a read!
tl;dr: lost kin's inclusion in p4, alongside the general "theme" of the other combatants (the desire to strive/search and attain something, and how it ultimately destroys them, for one) within the pantheon, which strangely seems to coincide with lost kin's own implied themes, makes me think that it's definitely intentional and not just for difficulty's purposes. it's likely that they too, have something to do with this theme of striving/coveting.
(copypasted and edited from my own notebook EJIFSJDF)
i feel like it's interesting that lost kin is in p4, or pantheon of the knight. though, p4 is a mostly "dream bosses" pantheon, it could still hint at something. let's look at its participants (not including lost kin themselves):
enraged guardian
no eyes
traitor lord
white defender
failed champion
watcher knights
soul tyrant
pure vessel
i think they have a connection. an obvious one is how they're all "searching" for something. foraging. trying, but ultimately failing. yeah, that's the one. all of them are striving, reaching for something out of reach. and that is their ultimate downfall.
greed. [enraged guardian is literally described as the god of greed]
the search to avoid the infection, leading to her death.
the search for strength, his downfall, the reason why he became infected.
yearning. waiting, searching for closure. [this one, admittedly, is a bit of a stretch? but... play along shh shh]
the search for power, against his oppressors.
striving to protect their master.
the search for a cure to the infection.
striving to fulfill their purpose, and their father's wishes.
"how does all that play into lost kin being in p4?"
not explicitly- but it could be a hint. i like taking drugs and connecting the dots. a desire/motivation of sorts runs throughout the pantheon, and maybe lost kin has some of their own.
for starters, they are a vessel. so, i think they might share something with pure vessel- the desire to fulfill their purpose, the search to end the infection, turning into a mindless puppet at its hands. waiting for release, for peace- for closure. the downfall of thinkinng you could go toe-to-toe with a furious god, trying, but failing. futility...
regret. anger, resentment, hatred. yearning. i am literally insane. i could be looking too much into it, but i find it interesting how the "participants" of p4 have that theme of striving for a "perfection" of sorts. the perfect, pure vessel, the perfect cure, the perfect immortal life, the perfect life with the now-gone five great knights.
come to think of it, i haven't analyzed p4's flavor text of "seek the pure one". this... could just be referring to pure vessel but i think it could also apply to all the others. seek the pure focus, the pure shell of protection, the pure life with your dear five great knights. but that, i think, is certainly a stretch, even for me, who stretched the shit out of the p4 combatants choices HSHDGDHD
perhaps lost kin too, had their own... ideal to strive for. maybe that's why they're found in ancient basin, a highly obscure area which nobody would go to, unless they had a specific reason to. maybe that's why they also took the time to train to wield their nail semi-efficiently- and also why they died near monarch wings- they were preparing for a battle of sorts.
(side note: the reason this segment existed is because i realized that BV/LK's downward attack move resembles something from their sealed sibling, THK. i think this downward move is just a common nailbearer thing, but if we count lost kin knowing what the dash slash is, we can think that they did train under oro for a short while, and learned this move from him as a sort of "extra curriculum lesson" or something.)
perhaps lost kin was also searching for something. that call from up above, by either their sealed sibling, the light infecting them, or their own will. maybe they too, were beckoned, just like our little ghost.
we can be certain though, that lost kin was waiting for something. they were waiting for peace, to be released from the state you find them in, released from the blinding grasps of the radiance's light.
and maybe, they too, are rooting for you, waiting patiently for your victory against that forsaken god of light. and they help you one last time, giving you a load of dream essence, so you can truly know this kingdom's past, so you can unlock and learn everything you need to know. and then, maybe you can finally beat that damned moth into eternal obscurity.
they wish you luck. they hope you'll accept what little they have to offer.

thank you so much for your wonderful reply to my ask about the wips!❤️ please believe me when i say i’m patiently looking forward to ALL of them! (especially the gq/croc eggbaby series omfggg!!! plus the superbat sequels and top gun big bang aaaaa!)
now i can’t lie, i am constantly eyeing ‘bvs was Bruce Wayne’s kinky coma dream’ because that line alone makes me madly curious! so if i had to pick one idea that i’d LOVE to know more about, it’s definitely that one! thanks a lot again for indulging me!!! ❤️
:D And you are too good to me, anon, I can ONLY HOPE they're each worth the wait in the end! <333 (The eggbaby series is totally growing a plot on me, which I'm praying does not careen out of control. :'D And the Superbat sequels will probably take me the longest, just FYI, but I hope the guarantee of the Top Gun Big Bang makes up for that! :D)
... Honestly, I sometimes forget that not everyone in the entire world has been witness to the great struggle that is BvS Was Bruce Wayne's Vaguely Kinky Coma Dream. :'D Basically, it's pretty much what it says on the tin: fresh out of the theater after seeing BvS for the first time, I found myself pretty firmly convinced that the theatrical cut of that movie makes a hell of a lot more sense if it's Bruce having a strangely prescient, kinky dream than anything else.
Consider the following:
The original theatrical cut of BvS had noticeably less of Clark's POV than Bruce's; the Ultimate Edition has several additional scenes of his investigation of Batman + Lois putting the pieces together and realizing he'd been set up to fail at the Capitol. Without knowing that, though, and having only seen the theatrical cut, I felt like Clark's side of the narrative was weirdly insubstantial, and he seemed a little extra distant, uninvolved, arbitrarily deciding to fly around all stonefaced and threaten Batman ... not unlike the way Bruce might plausibly see him/imagine him to be, in other words.
(Except, that is, when Clark's talking to his mother, and suddenly seems genuinely troubled, more real, warmer; as if, even doing his best to strip Superman of any humanity, Bruce can't manage to imagine a son talking to his mother without some whiff of love and meaning and comfort involved. ;-;)
I have no reason that I know of not to like Jesse Eisenberg, and he's a good enough actor that I'm confident he was doing exactly what he was directed to do, as well as it was possible to do it ... but if BvS is Bruce's dream, it makes fifteen times as much sense to me that Lex Luthor is so blatantly Joker-inflected! Like, of course he is; when Bruce's brain has to generate A Villain, naturally it goes straight for "clearly unhinged, laughs too much, desperately obsessed on a personal level", you know?
(Also, Bruce's kinky brain being in the driver's seat makes Lex delighting in having Clark on his knees on the roof actually secretly a matter of Bruce assuming everyone must want Clark on his knees and dreaming accordingly, which doesn't hurt anything. :'D)
Even in a dream, I don't think Bruce could ever go as far as giving himself the chance to save his own mother; that is both too self-indulgent and too implausible, and he'd reject it as unreal in a heartbeat. The best his subconscious can do is put somebody else's mother Martha in danger, and let him rush in and save her instead. ;-;
The blatant plot U-turn of "oh wait Superman was never the enemy! HANG ON, HERE'S A CONVENIENTLY WORSE ENEMY, let's team up with Superman to beat him!" also makes more sense to me if Bruce, like, needed on a subconscious level to beat Superman up, to prove to himself that he could, but never actually wanted to kill him. Therefore, as soon as he'd pulverized Clark to his own internal satisfaction and indulged the desperate urge to drag Clark around by the throat and put his boot on Clark's chest and (nearly) ~impale Clark his subconscious was soothed, and free to say "okay, now that we've worked through that, we can be friends with Superman, no problem :) let's save the day together!"
HOWEVER, Bruce is still Bruce! There are no true happy endings, in BvS!Bruce's head. The best his brain can do is let Superman die a hero, so Bruce a) was right to have changed his mind about him, b) never has to interact with him again or actually deal with/do anything about any of the shit he was working through via a half-hour-long kinky fight scene where he got to watch Superman gasp for breath in the rain on his knees, and c) gets to dedicate himself to doing right by Clark's memory (and he might, might, even mentally allow himself some hope of success, with Diana there to help).
Obviously this still leaves plenty of stuff to finagle! Why is Bruce's dream so long, so involved, and so weirdly accurate on certain points? I decided the obvious answer to this was my favorite answer to everything: the ship.
So BvS Was Bruce Wayne's Vaguely Kinky Coma Dream became an AU premise that approximated a time-travel fix-it, in which Bruce Wayne was badly injured during Black Zero (along with plenty of other people), and the ship detected that and connected itself to him (along with plenty of other people) to keep him suspended in an unconscious state while it repaired him. Bruce's kinky brain was driving, cast Clark as the villain until it didn't anymore, flavored everything with Bruce's impressions and expectations ... but the ship used its own data to supplement and stabilize the coma dream until he was physically ready to wake up again.
Which is to say: the ship knows Clark's name and Clark's mother's name, even though Bruce couldn't. It knows about kryptonite, even though Bruce wouldn't, not right at the end of MoS. And it also knows about its genesis chamber, its ability to create things like Doomsday if required to, and, of course, Apokolips—which means the Knightmare ALSO suddenly makes sense, not as Bruce being precognitive? being sent messages from an alternate dimension? who tf knows! but as the ship, aware of the actual Space Threat out there, trying to insert that Space Threat appropriately into the narrative ... only for Bruce's ridiculous stubborn subconscious to shove Clark right back into the middle of the Knightmare, still the bad guy. :'D
ANYWAY, yeah, so then Bruce was going to wake up from his Vaguely Kinky Coma Dream, having experienced BvS and his whole arc of coming to the understanding that Superman's not the villain inside of his own head, and knowing Superman is Clark Kent on top of it, and knowing the actual Lex Luthor is out there, possibly an issue, possibly intending to steal Zod's body and make Doomsday. And he himself would also have JUST EXPERIENCED Clark's death and Clark's funeral, and would be wanting, more than anything, to try to make sure Clark doesn't die this time. And he'd already be three-quarters in love with Clark, while Clark has absolutely no idea who the hell he is or why he seems to know random things about Clark/Kryptonians/the ship or why he seems so weirdly preoccupied with and sad about and protective of Clark–
I have had several thousand words of this thing drafted for literally years now. However, when I first started working on it, I didn't know shit :'D and all I had to go off of with Diana was BvS + some early WW trailers where her movieverse powerset wasn't totally clear. So I wrote some stuff that turned out to make no sense, and then stalled out trying to decide how I wanted to fix it, and then JL came along and gave me a new angle on where the plot should maybe go, and and and ...
... yeah. I've reworked bits and pieces of the outline several times, I finally have a pretty good idea how I want the full story to turn out, but I still haven't actually nailed all the pieces down in order, redrafted the early beginning sections, or, you know, written the rest of the darn thing. :'D
Anyway! That got super long, I'm so sorry, I don't blame you if you noped out of that about halfway through :D but yeah, for all the time that's passed, I'm still really stuck on the idea and still really enamored of everything I worked out about what to do with it and how I wanted it to go, so. I am definitely hoping to one day finish what is literally the first fic I ever started writing in this fandom. /o\ :D

I honestly am very surprised by how much better I thought the BvS: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition was as well as the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
The Ultimate Edition made a lot more sense to me and the fight between Superman and Batman felt more honest. These two men already don’t like each other, but they’re being pushed by Lex Luthor.
Who still comes across more as a Batman villain suited for Arkham, rather than Lex Luthor. But he did seem more competent and while I don’t see this version changing Lex Luthor’s character, nor do I want it to – I enjoyed it more.
Maybe I’m giving the Ultimate Edition more credit it deserves. But I just remember being bored when I saw the theatrical cut, bored and annoyed.
Here I was more engaged with the plot. And while it’s not my favorite movie, I could see myself watching it again.
While I didn’t hate the theatrical cut of Justice League, it was so very forgettable. To the point that I’m not entirely sure if something I liked in Snyder Cut’s was featured in the original cut or not.
I have a vague -- “I kind of remember that” -- which for me is saying something. I often retain movie and episode plots very well. But that movie was just so forgettable.
I am genuinely interested in seeing Snyder’s DCEU continue.
I’m not saying these movies are perfect by any means, but I enjoyed them so much more this time around.
The one thing I really wanted out of the Snyder Cut was for Ray Fisher to come across as amazing as Cyborg, mostly for the good of his career. And yeah, I was not dissappointed.
Not only am I very impressed by Ray Fisher’s portrayal of Cyborg, to the point that I didn’t even hate the design of Cyborg (still don’t like it), but also it clearly comes across as though DC shot themselves in the goddamn foot for dropping him.
Again, these two movies still have problems and I’m not really in love with Snyder’s take on DC, but I came out of watching these two movies with more respect for his vision.
I think the Ultimate Edition Cut and the Snyder Cut are both worth checking out. To be clear they don’t solve all the problems of Snyder’s movies, but…
They are definitely stronger movies than what we originally got in theatres.

Batman v Superman: UE (2016)
** Ben Affleck - I really liked your Batman and I really hope you suit up again one day. **
The film that should have been theatrically released.
BvS:UE was a very good film when seen in the full 183-minute runtime. The sequences that were cut to accommodate the masses were the wrong scenes and make the theatrical film almost entirely incoherent.
The theatrical film goes on to be heavily criticized for dark tone and conflict resolution issues, however had we received the FULL film the first time, those comments would have been less severe. I am not about to preach about the differences. See the FULL 183-minute movie, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Edition, for yourself. The Ultimate Edition was/is not too long. -- Remember, 3 years later, we all sat through Avengers: Endgame, several times. --
I would like to say this: The character music for Mr. Lex Luthor was great. His music was very circus-like, playing into the mischievous, string pulling. Luthor’s main characteristic of needing to be in control which motivated him, drove him, and vitalized his actions are made loud and clear through music. Luthor was the puppet-master and the rest were his puppets.
Long live Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition.
