So...As I said before, this is the big project three of my friends(X @MAGIMARU @__olddoll @Pan991106) and I were busy with! DIR EN GREY MONOPOLY 2024.

Basically, it’s a game that took us about 6 months to complete and recorded the whole year of Diru. Actually none of us had done such a thing before or foreseen the process to be so exhausting. But yeah, we made it and gave it to every member in Osaka!!

As shown, the map starts from 正月(January) and club citta, which was the venue of My Bloody Vampire, the very first show of Diru in 2024. Followed by Europe tour, Psychonnect, Androgynos and Who Is This Hell For, each space is named after the exact venue.

【RULES】

Concerned over language barriers, we tried to keep everything clear and simple, especially the rules.

Like normal monopoly, getting your money from the bank, collecting your token, rolling the dice, buying/selling properties(venues) and taking actions based on the space you end up on. That’s it!

There are four kinds of spaces:

property space

When you are on a property space, you can choose to buy it and charge the rent.

chance space 1 for Cards type1<特別事件 special events>

chance space 2 for Cards type 2<普通事件 normal cards>

chance space 3 for Cards type 3<魔法世界magic world >

When you land on a chance space, you need to draw a card and follow the instructions. You may even get powerful tools there!

This kind took me most of the time(I did almost all the drawings and design except for a very few cards and the tokens), so I will begin with it.

Like what I indicated before, you can draw a special event card when you land on a corresponding space. Each player/member can find their own special cards originated from their experiences in 2024.

*actually each one of them has 10 cards respectively, but technically it’s impossible to explain all of them, so I’m sorry to leave out some.

【Kyo’s part】

I finished kyo’s part first! From left to right, it indicates:

-kyo mentioned it was rly nice to have Arukuma at the venue and he wanted to see Kyoto’s mascot too, so I kinda joked about it

-the very famous HELL HELL HELL HELL HELL LOL

-kyo said it in a sukekiyo’s live around July, dont call me kyo or any name, say sukekiyo様(lord sukekiyo) instead and if you wanna happiness, buy a pot from me!(it was refering to a piece of cult news I guess)

-the sticker of his early age was sold out and Kyo hated it!!

-kyo mentioned he had Unadon three days in a row back in Nagoya, although it was him who wanted to eat Unadon the first

-he forgot his suitcase which was full of his personal clothing and shocked to see Poland was snowing when he woke up in Europe

【shinya’s part】

-all the members took photos of shinya’s legs and he was kinda embrassed about it lol

-he really likes sea otter!

-he was kinda robbed by a deer in Nara

-In order to film his youtube video, Shinya arrived at the venue 2 hours earlier but Toshiya surprisingly arrived earlier too!! Unsurprisingly Toshiya laughed at him, took a pircture, posted it on instagram and our poor Fujieda manager was being told off by shinya imao

-shinya passed漢字能力検定(a difficult language test of Japanese kanji)and received a certificate

-shinya posted a pic of sea otter as a reponse to kyo’s tweet saying his legs look great lol

-shinya collected all the mangazines of their vkei time and filmed a video

-shinya was kinda obsessed with a Tiktok drama(he accidentally spotted the ad on instagram) and poured money into it.

【Die’s part】

-his favorite baseball team 巨人（Yomiuri Giants） won the national champion of 2024 after beating Kaoru’s favorite team 阪神（Hanshin Tigers）

【Toshiya’s part】

-it’s also a joke related to Kyo’s card(the one of mascots) and Arukuma

-he streamed a cooking competition with Fujieda in the summer(the room was rly hot without AC)

-Toshiya celebrated his birthday in Berlin!(so I drew a little national flag on the plate and used sausages to decorate haha)

-he and Kaoru had a stream for Androgynos. They looked fine on the screen but they both admitted the chairs were so hard that their asses were hurt lol

【Kaoru’s part】

-Kaoru streamed with other TTT members to celebrate Boo’s birthday and drank a lot

-He misspelled his own name on TFOE(he also made a mistake on his birthday poster 長野虎之穴 and he corrected it by posting 野～～～！ On X)

-he had a holiday in Naha after Psychonnect (according to TTD)

-his birthday event(he designed several stamps to collect at the venue and I used the same layout when drawing it)

-the last episode of TFOE. He sang a song, ate shrimps and said byebye.

【魔法世界magic world】

Here comes my favorite kind! It was so enjoyable to draw. I guess it only took me around 2 or 3 days in total.

Bc it’s called magic world, it’s all about their babies(Idk how others call these cute little creatures, I just love to them their babies lol) and their pets. All the stories are around these non-human sweeties, while the only exception is the one on the right corner of the 1st row. The card is called Time machine, so I imitated kaoru’s self-portraits on his picks, indicating that this card can transfer current him to his younger time.

【summary】

Yeah that’s all!! Although it’s rly difficult to give a detailed introduction, we just finished it!! It rly took me so much time and energy, actually I was still working on it right before I flew to Sapporo mid November. I hope the members like the gift. And most importantly, I hope every diru fan enjoyed their 2024 and continuously enjoy Diru in the next coming years.

The holiday property market along Bulgaria's Black Sea coast is experiencing a shift away from its previous dominance by Russian buyers, now attracting a blend of younger Bulgarian professionals and retired Europeans. According to a comprehensive report by BTA, half of the buyers for seaside apartments are Bulgarians under 30, primarily from the IT sector, while the other half consists of retirees from Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Demand is particularly strong for two-bedroom apartments within gated complexes, with average prices starting at 1,900 euros per square meter. Maintenance fees, which cover amenities like pools and gyms, no longer deter buyers, who typically spend around BGN 60-70 per month on these services. Ukrainian investors are also entering the market, focusing on new residential developments near the sea.

This snapshot of the summer holiday market in Bulgaria was detailed by Atanas Argirov and Stefka Kalcheva, members of the National Association "Real Estate" Management Board.

In Varna, residential property prices have surged by 60 percent over the past two years, prompting a shift in buyer interest towards vacation homes. Atanas Argirov notes that holiday property prices have also risen, albeit more slowly, by 25 percent during the same period, indicating a stable upward trajectory despite lagging behind residential real estate.

The preferred locations in Varna include areas around the city center like "Sts. Constantine and Helena" and its surrounding districts. These locales, increasingly structured as residential hubs, appeal due to proximity to amenities such as large supermarkets and easy access to Varna and Vinitsa districts. The trend shows an almost equal number of permanent residents and vacation property owners in these areas.

In Golden Sands, demand for vacation properties is also on the rise, particularly within closed aparthotel complexes used mainly as second homes rented out during the summer season. Despite limited year-round inhabitation, interest remains high, with several new residential projects underway in "Sts. Constantine and Helena" and ongoing development in the Golden Sands area.

Buyers in Varna predominantly favor two-bedroom apartments, which account for about 40 percent of all real estate transactions in the city. Larger units with more than three rooms are preferred by IT professionals, who utilize them not just as residences but also as workspaces, reflecting a growing trend towards multifunctional living spaces. Security and amenities in gated communities attract over 80 percent of buyers, with rising maintenance fees posing minimal deterrent.

Approximately 60 percent of new buyers in Varna and its surrounding resorts are aged between 25 and 35, many of whom work in the IT sector. Bulgarians make up the majority of purchasers, while retirees from Western Europe constitute a smaller yet significant demographic, alongside buyers from Ukraine and Israel. The departure of Russian buyers has led to a smaller foreign presence in Bulgaria's real estate market, with Ukrainian investors beginning to play a more prominent role, particularly in high-end developments near Alen Mak and Manastirski Rid.

In the Burgas region, interest in vacation properties is steadily growing, with Bulgarian citizens accounting for 50 percent of transactions. The remainder includes retirees from Germany and a diverse mix of buyers from Poland, the Czech Republic, Israel, and Russian-speaking countries. This influx has partially offset the decline in Russian buyers, who face logistical challenges in utilizing their Bulgarian properties due to visa and transport restrictions.

Property prices in Burgas have seen a modest increase of approximately 5 to 6 percent since the beginning of the year, aligning with inflation rates. Despite a balanced market without significant peaks, industry experts predict a slight rise of 2-3 percent in housing prices by year-end, totaling an increase of 4-8 percent for 2024.

Sozopol, Nessebar, Sunny Beach, and Primorsko remain favored destinations for vacation property investments, with a growing interest from Ukrainian buyers in Pomorie. The profile of buyers in Burgas skews towards younger Bulgarians aged 35-45 seeking second homes, while foreign buyers, particularly from Poland, are also prevalent. Financing through mortgage loans is common, with expatriate Bulgarians and EU residents contributing to a significant portion of purchases.

In both Varna and Burgas, two-bedroom apartments are the preferred property type among buyers, offering flexibility for seasonal use. The appeal of closed complexes lies in their security and maintained amenities, with additional fees, including maintenance costs, posing minimal concern for new buyers. Prices are influenced by proximity to the sea, with properties closer to the beach commanding higher values. However, affordability remains a consideration, with lower-priced options reflecting their distance from coastal areas and historical town centers.

Rozbrat is one of the oldest occupied social centres in Europe. This year, a small but central part of the land on which Rozbrat is located was put up for sale. We have bought it in order to secure greater control over the entire occupied area. This cost us 320,000 zloty (about 70,000 euros or £60,000). We paid for it using private loans from our friends through an association we founded especially for this purpose. We are now collecting donations to repay the private loans and to keep the property in the long term.

Rozbrat has been occupied for 29 years. Until today, we have fought and won the most important battles on the streets and in the courts: against property developers, private speculators and their allies in the city administration and the state apparatus. Some of the current owners have lost hope of evicting us and making profits from building projects for the rich. Now we have taken the opportunity to create a significant barrier for further property speculation by buying a strategic share of the site.

What is Rozbrat? The story of the Rozbrat at Ulica Pułaskiego 21a in Poznań began in 1994, when a group of people occupied a site of dilapidated commercial buildings neglected by the state and private owners. Since then, Rozbrat has fulfilled a central function as an infrastructure for social initiatives in Poznań and beyond. The campaigns against the eviction of Rozbrat have given rise to the local tenants' movement and the WSL (Wielkopolska Tenants' Association). Our active participation in struggles in the factories contributed to the foundation of the trade union IP (Inicjatywa Pracownicza - Workers' Initiative). Rozbrat is involved in the organisation of the Social Women's Congress, which is a counter-proposal to the bourgeois Polish "Women's Congress". Here women workers and activists coordinate activities for social justice for women. The Freedom Fighters group, which runs a sports room at Rozbrat, came out of the anti-fascist and anti-racist activities of Rozbrat. Since 2013 the Freedom Fighters organise an annual martial arts tournament at Rozbrat.

The disputes about the continued existence of Rozbrat have always been about climate justice, as Rozbrat is located in the so-called Western Green Belt of Poznań, which supplies the whole city with oxygen, but is desired by real estate speculators and the city as a potential building site close to the city centre. At Rozbrat, groups are also active at the forefront of the fight against the hunting of wild animals and the cutting down of the last primeval forests in Poland. In the last few years, right next to the Rozbrat site, a former allotment garden site was occupied, which was to be privatised and flattened. After the development company gave up, the urban gardening project WOMB (Free Urban Garden Bogdanka) was founded on the occupied site. The WOMB has already received awards at several competitions, which had been organised by the city administration, for being the best social initiative and most interesting green space in Poznań.

Personal rants cause I don't want to bother my friends

We're moving out of our current place. It really really sucks. I feel like I've made some personal improvements and had small breakthroughs with my life (a lot of negative and bad stuff as well but gotta focus on the positives), and I started to build a little community here. I started going to this gym last year and for the past like 9 months I've been exercising regularly doing boxfit and strength training in a very positive, welcoming space. And we have to move out of one of the most wonderful cities in the UK because the rent got raised to a level where we can't afford it, and both me and my fiance have to move closer to London so we can commute regularly to the studios. Whiiich is technically what we wanted. But it's still sad to uproot our life once again and be on the move. We have moved regularly every 2 years, so about 4 times now. It's draining, it's sad, it's frustrating, and it outweighs the positives of trying out a new place. The current house we're in for another couple of days was horrible in the winter, with single glazed windows, non existent insulation, immersion boiler which cost us thousands of pounds (the people who know what immersion boiler is, also know what a horrible idea it is as a main boiler - a description has been given many times that it's like having a kettle boiling non stop), and horrible agents who just want to leech off money. We're happy to move out of this house specifically. Unhappy that we have to move out and go somewhere completely different in the current housing market climate which is on front pages for the past few months.

I'm unhappy being in the UK. The creative industry is draining. The people are lovely but project by project existence with no real job security is becoming really tiring, especially when we want to buy a property (we can't afford it), start a family (we can't afford that either) and just settle down somewhere (can't afford it if rent keeps going higher and higher and prices us out of anywhere).

It's terrifying seeing what the government is doing to the society here. I know Poland doesn't have it better but it's like being at your friends' parents' house and they are being toxic to them and to you but it's not your parents. Somehow your own family is better even if they have problems of their own and if different calibre. I'd be happier to try and fix and commit to fixing it with my own country than a country I just spent 1/3 of my life in and still don't feel like I'm fully home.

Does skin color really matter to a person?

You know what? Thomas Sowell, a professor in the United States, said in his book, "The importance of skin color is self-evident here." All races have not escaped the clutches of discrimination. Although it is popular to talk about anti-discrimination, it has existed throughout American history and is still a big problem today. First, let's talk about the origins of the problem: colonial aggression and the slave trade. As early as the colonial period, the United States began the slave trade, which sowed deep seeds of racial discrimination. In 1619, the first black slaves arrived in the United States, beginning the dark path of racial oppression. White people used their power to make their culture a symbol of North America. By the early 17th century, various English colonies had enacted laws making blacks the "perpetual property" of whites, and their children automatically inheriting slavery. In the first half of the 19th century, many Irish Catholics fled to America. As a result, Americans began to see the Irish immigrants as bad people, lazy, low, rough, and dangerous. All kinds of nativist and xenophobic organizations and political parties sprang up. By the 1850s, an organization called the American Party, which specifically opposed Irish immigration, had seven governors, eight senators, and 104 representatives. New York and Massachusetts passed laws to expel or return Irish immigrants. In 1844, at least 20 people died in Philadelphia because of anti-Irish immigration. The xenophobes also smashed, looted and torched Irish immigrants, torched their churches. Irish immigrants were seen as black until the 20th century, when they were accepted by whites and became victims of racism in the United States. However, when the railroad was repaired, the Americans began a massacre against the Chinese - the Chinese exclusion movement. In 1911, the United States Congress issued a report saying that Southeast European immigrants would not contribute to the United States, but would destroy the American race, culture, and institutions. So they propose cultural tests for immigrants and a national quota system. Henry Ford, the boss of the Ford Motor Company, sent his employees to what he called "melting pot schools." And white supremacist groups like the Ku Klux Klan recruited millions of members to terrorize and attack Southeastern European immigrants across the United States. The outbreak of the Russian October Revolution in 1917 caused the first round of "Red panic" in the United States. The United States government determined that there were Communists among Southeastern European immigrants and used them to arrest and deport large numbers of Southeastern European immigrants. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the increase of Hispanic immigrants, especially Mexican immigrants, has made the United States increasingly xenophobic. Once he arrives, he is taken for a bit of a ride by the canny locals as they try to milk him for as much cash as they can. In the days before cell phones; he has to call his boss from the phone box reporting his lack of progress and some astronomical sightings until eventually Happer comes over himself and immediately strikes up a rapport with Fulton Mackay who lives on the beach (and who is steadfastly refusing to sell). It is is simple story very well told with a slightly unpredictable, happy ending and a brilliant score from Mark Knopfler. Filipe Manuel Neto: **Slow, with boring characters and dialogues and a disjointed script, this film does not justify the “hype” around it.** This is one of those indie films that has won over a legion of self-confessed admirers. It’s a film that everyone speaks highly of, as if it were a solid masterpiece. I didn’t know that when I saw it for the first time, so I saw it without a lot of expectations. I’m glad I did it: despite recognizing some merits, I am convinced that the film has been well overrated. The proof is the way it fell into oblivion! If we exclude fans and movie nerds who know everything (and when they don’t, they make it up) who really remembers this movie? The film revolves around a story that is very simple: in the north of Scotland, there is a small bay with a beach and a sleepy village. When a rich oil entrepreneur decides to buy all that to build a huge refinery and a terminal for oil tankers, all those people are expectant, wanting to sell what they have for the best price. Only two people disagree: a marine biologist who want to preserve and study the local, and an old simpleton who owns a good part of that beach. The film had some potential, but it lacks solidity and a good script. Time is spent in sterile dialogue, rambling about comets, constellations and flirting. It is also very unbelievable, as a project like this would never be so consensual, there are always those who oppose it for financial or ecological reasons, or mere nostalgia.
