Sip in Style: Affordable Coffee Cups for the Perfect Indian Gift
In the diverse tapestry of Indian culture, where conversations are often brewed over a cup of steaming chai or aromatic coffee, the significance of a good coffee cup for gift cannot be overstated. Whether it's a casual get-together or a festive occasion, the ritual of sipping a warm beverage holds a special place in the hearts of many. What better way to celebrate this tradition than by gifting a stylish coffee cup that not only serves its purpose but also adds a touch of elegance to the daily caffeine routine?
In a market filled with extravagant options, finding an affordable yet thoughtful gift can be a challenge. But fear not, as we embark on a journey to explore the world of minimalistic coffee cups that make for perfect presents without burning a hole in your pocket.
The Classic Ceramic Cup: Simple, timeless, and versatile – the classic ceramic coffee cup is an evergreen choice. Its neutral palette blends seamlessly with any kitchen decor, making it an ideal gift for anyone. Look for sets that come with matching saucers for that added touch of sophistication. These cups are not only visually appealing but also durable, ensuring that your gift lasts for countless coffee sessions.
Quirky Printed Mugs: For those with a penchant for quirkiness, a coffee cup adorned with playful prints or witty quotes can be a delightful surprise. From cheeky one-liners to adorable illustrations, these mugs add a personal touch to your gift. Consider the recipient's interests – whether it's a love for cats, travel, or literature – and choose a design that resonates with them. Affordable and charming, these mugs bring a dash of personality to every sip.
Bamboo Fiber Mugs: Embrace sustainability with coffee cups made from bamboo fiber. Not only are these cups eco-friendly, but they also exude a natural, earthy vibe. Available in a range of colors and designs, bamboo fiber mugs are lightweight and easy to handle. They make for an excellent choice for those who appreciate eco-conscious living without compromising on style.
Stainless Steel Travel Mugs: For the coffee aficionado on the go, a stainless steel travel mug is a practical and thoughtful gift. These mugs are not only durable but also capable of keeping beverages hot for an extended period. Look for options with secure lids and ergonomic designs for hassle-free commuting. The added advantage? They're easy to clean, making them a fuss-free choice for the busy bees in your life.
Hand-painted Delights: Add a touch of artistry to your gift with hand-painted coffee cups. Local artisans often craft unique, hand-painted mugs that showcase the rich cultural heritage of India. These cups tell a story, making them a meaningful and aesthetically pleasing gift. From traditional motifs to contemporary designs, hand-painted coffee cups are a true reflection of India's diverse artistry.
In conclusion, finding the perfect coffee cup for gifting in India doesn't have to be an expensive affair. Embrace the charm of minimalism and explore the plethora of affordable options available. Whether it's a classic ceramic cup, a quirky printed mug, a bamboo fiber delight, a stainless steel travel companion, or a hand-painted masterpiece, there's a perfect coffee cup waiting to bring joy to someone's daily ritual. Gift with love, and let each sip tell a story of thoughtful simplicity.

from that summer prompts list! an spending the whole day at the beach au would be really nice i think :))
Tumblr media
Day 1
The screen door rattles as it slams shut behind him, and Alex drops his suitcase onto the worn hardwood floors.
The cottage is small but beautiful. A little stuffy and warm, but that’s nothing that can’t be fixed by opening the windows and letting the cool ocean breeze in.
He leaves his belongings behind and does a quick sweep of the kitchen. The basics are there, just as the AirBnB host said. Salt, pepper, oil, sugar. A box of tea and a canister of coffee. Prepackaged snacks on display on the counter. There are water bottles in the fridge and a box of baking soda. He’ll need to go to the market in town and stock up on produce, dairy, and good coffee, but it’s fine. It’s nice.
From the photos online, he knows the bedroom and bathroom are down the hall to his left, along with a small linen closet with extra sheets, blankets, and pillows. There’s a door that leads to the basement where the washer and dryer are kept and the hot water heater, which he might need to reset if the power goes out during his stay.
The living room is basic but homey. A couch and two armchairs, each a little frayed at the edges, are set around a wide driftwood coffee table with stacks of board games underneath. No TV. Spotty WiFi. Perfect.
He steps out the sliding glass doors onto the small deck overlooking the beach. It’s early summer, and kids are still in school, so the beach is quiet and barren. It's just a little lonely, but it's relatable.
He shakes his head, physically knocking the dreary thought from his brain. This isn’t what this vacation is about. So what if his boyfriend of nearly a year revealed that he’d been cheating on him for the last six months two days before the trip, and so what if both the flight and the booking were non-refundable. So what if he had to dip into his savings to pay for this. It’s better to learn that Peter is a heartless douchebag now than five years down the line when Alex is pushing thirty and thinking about marriage and kids and forever. So what if it’s brought up the same feelings of abandonment and inadequacy he’s shoved deep down inside of himself since his parents divorced. It’s okay.
This week is about self-reflection and discovery. He’s going to learn how to be alone and be okay with it. He doesn’t need a partner to be happy.
Alex leans forward on the railing and watches the waves crash against the shore until a man coming up the boardwalk catches his attention.
He’s tall and blond; his blue linen shirt is loose across his shoulders and flutters around his body in the wind. He stops halfway, his shoes in his hand, and turns back toward the beach to whistle. A beagle hops onto the path beside him a moment later, shaking the water from his fur and making the man laugh.
It’s a nice sound.
The man and his dog continue up the boardwalk and into the house next door to Alex’s rented cottage. He towels off the dog and wipes his own feet on the mat before disappearing inside.
Interesting.
Day 2
The town market is small and overpriced, but Alex is able to get almost everything he needs, minus the coffee.
Fortunately, the market is next to a cafe selling their beans by the pound. Alex buys two bags and a cherry turnover and learns that there's a farmer’s market in the church parking lot on Sundays.
On his way out, he spots his neighbor sitting on the patio, a book in his hand, a cup of tea on the table in front of him, and the beagle at his feet.
When Alex passes, the dog lifts its head and wags its tail. Alex wants to stop and ask the man if he can say hello, but his hands are full of groceries and coffee, and the odds of dropping everything and embarrassing himself are too great.
He keeps walking and regrets not stopping the whole way home.
Day 3
Alex spends the whole day at the beach.
He packs a cooler with sandwiches, fruit, and beer and hauls one of the folding chairs provided by the host down to the water.
It’s overcast when he gets down there, but by noon, the sun is high and hot, and he slathers on another layer of sunscreen before he reclines the chair and takes a nap.
When he wakes up, his neighbor has joined him, sitting an acceptable distance away and a bit too close, considering he has almost the entire beach.
Alex’s first instinct is to be annoyed because what the fuck, but then his neighbor looks over the top of the book he’s reading and makes eye contact with Alex, then looks away quickly, like he’s been caught.
Interesting.
Alex stands up and stretches his arms over his head before pulling his tank top over his head and dropping it to the chair.
He feels his neighbor’s eyes on him the entire way to the water, where he jumps in without hesitation. When he surfaces, his neighbor is watching him again. This time, he doesn’t look away.
Day 4
“Bone! You need to bone!”
Alex rolls his eyes at Nora’s voice in the background of the call.
“We're not going to bone,” Alex says. “I don’t even know his name.”
“Maybe you could ask him,” June supplies helpfully.
“I don’t know if I’m ready.”
“To know his name?”
“To bone,” Nora says, sounding closer to the phone. “Alex, your piece of shit ex cheated on you. You’re legally required to sleep with someone else. You should know that. You’re a lawyer.”
“I’m a paralegal.”
“Same diff.”
“Definitely not.”
“You did say he was good-looking,” June says, getting the conversation back on track, and Alex hums as he looks out the back door.
From this angle, he can see his neighbor on his deck, where he’s been fiddling with his grill for the last twenty minutes.
“He is,” Alex agrees, looking over his long legs and broad shoulders. “He can’t work a grill, though. What the fuck is he doing?”
“Go help him!” Nora chimes in. “You two can eat dinner, and then he can eat you—”
Alex hangs up and opens the door, then steps over to the far side of the deck, closest to his neighbor, who is tapping the gauge of the propane tank.
“I think it might be empty.”
His neighbor’s head snaps up. “Pardon?”
“The tank. If you can’t get it to light, you’re probably out of propane.”
“Oh,” he says as he looks down at the tank. “How do I fix that?”
“Get the tank refilled.”
“And where do I do that?”
“At this time of night, nowhere.”
Those broad shoulders fall. “Oh.”
“You can come over and use mine,” Alex yells over. “The host said it was full.”
“I wouldn’t want to impose.”
“I’m not doing anything.”
His neighbor looks down at his dog at his feet.
“You can bring—,” Alex starts, and his neighbor interrupts.
“David.”
“Your name is David?”
“No, I’m Henry,” he says before he gestures down to the dog. “His name is David.”
“Okay….well….you can both come over. This place is listed as pet friendly.”
Henry looks down at David, then at the grill, then over at Alex.
“I’ll be over,” Henry calls.
Alex nods. “I’ll be here.”
Day 5
“You know, you never told me what your friend does to afford a beach house.”
“Oh,” Henry says as he picks up a pint of strawberries. “It’s hard to pin Pez down. I suppose he does a bit of everything.”
Alex nods as Henry pays for the berries, and they continue their loop around the farmer’s market.
Dinner last night was fine. Henry seemed nervous the entire time, but Alex can’t honestly say that he was playing it cool.
It’s like they both knew mutual attraction was simmering beneath the surface, but neither knew what to do about it. Maybe Henry is just shy, and maybe Alex is a little out of practice after spending nearly a year of his life in a dead-end relationship.
He did learn that Henry was a copy editor who could work from practically anywhere. He has a sister who might join him next month and a brother who thinks what he does for a living is pointless.
Alex kind of hates his brother, but he likes the way Henry smiles when he talks about his sister and friend.
“You never told me why you’re here alone,” Henry says, and Alex shrugs.
“You’re here alone.”
“I’m not alone. I have David.”
“Okay, point, but do I have to have a reason? Is it a crime for someone to vacation alone?”
“Certainly not, but….”
“But,” Alex starts with a heavy sigh. “I was supposed to come with my boyfriend.”
“Oh,” Henry says, sounding disappointed.
“Ex-boyfriend now,” Alex explains. “Turns out he was cheating on me, and all the reservations were non-refundable, so…here I am. Alone.”
Henry knocks their shoulders together with a soft smile. “Maybe not so alone.”
Day 6
The power goes out at exactly 11:59 at night.
“Fuck,” Alex swears up at the ceiling while rain and wind pound against the windows and lightning flashes outside. “Fuck.”
He knows he’s lucky that it stayed on for this long. While he’s no stranger to storms (everything is bigger in Texas), the constant weather alerts and warnings that pop up on his phone, combined with how close the house is to the beach, are making him nervous.
He could leave, get in the rental car, and go, but when he sits up in bed and looks out the window, he can see the lights on at Henry’s place.
Of course, Henry’s rich friend would have a generator. Of course, Alex can’t leave without him.
Alex puts on his sneakers and makes a run for it, skidding onto Henry’s front porch and banging on the door, hoping he’s heard over the rolling thunder.
He hears David bark, then quick footsteps, and suddenly, the door opens, and Henry appears through the screen.
“The power went out,” Alex says with a thumb hooked over his shoulder. “And I don’t know where the candles are in the house, and I’m trying not to freak out–.”
“Are you bloody mad,” Henry interrupts as he opens the screen door and yanks him into the house. “You could have been struck by lightning.”
“I’m a pretty fast runner.”
“Fast enough to dodge lightning?”
“I made it, didn’t I?”
“I suppose,” Henry says. “Now, wait here.”
Henry disappears down the hall while Alex drips over the hardwood.
“Should we be worried?” Alex calls after him after a particularly loud clap of thunder. “I’m always seeing ocean homes swept into the sea on the news.”
“Pez said this place has never flooded.”
“Okay, but climate change is getting worse. Just because it didn't happen last season doesn't mean it won’t happen this season.”
“I don’t think we need to worry,” Henry says when he returns, a towel in one hand and a change of clothes in the other. “But I understand why you are.”
Alex takes the towel and the clothes but doesn’t move from his spot by the front door. He’s not sure what to do with the clothes or with Henry, dressed in sweatpants and the softest-looking t-shirt he’s ever seen. Pillow marks across his cheek and his hair mussed with sleep.
Alex is leaving in a few days, gone forever, and he doesn’t know how he’ll handle losing someone he’s never even touched.
“I’m going to make tea,” Henry tells him as he moves into the kitchen. “I’m thinking chamomile. Would you like some?”
“Later, maybe,” Alex says as he sets the clothes down on the kitchen table and crowds into Henry’s space. “Is this okay?” He asks as he slowly brings his hands up to cup Henry’s face.
“Oh,” Henry says, expression falling softly as he nods.
Day 7
The storm is over by morning.
Alex wakes to the sun in his eyes, David curled up at his feet, and Henry’s arm draped over his waist.
“Baby,” Alex whispers, his lips brushing across Henry’s forehead. “We should get up.”
Henry’s face scrunches as he tightens his grip on Alex. “Ten more minutes. Or forever.”
Alex smiles.
Forever sounds nice.
Day 371
Alex wakes to the smell of coffee and lips pressed to his cheek.
He reaches out blindly, smiling when his hand catches the hem of Henry’s shirt.
“Happy anniversary, love,” Henry whispers, and Alex rolls over and opens his eyes. “I got you a coffee and a turnover from the place in town.”
“You’re up early,” Alex says as he sits up and takes the coffee and the bag from Henry. “Couldn’t sleep?”
“I could,” Henry says as he sits down beside him. “I wanted to make sure I got to the coffee shop before they were out of the cherry turnovers.”
“I would’ve gone with you.”
“You seemed pretty tired,” Henry says smugly. “I thought it was best to let you sleep.”
Alex hums and takes a sip. “I’ll repay the favor tonight.”
“Looking forward to it. Until then, plans for the day?”
They could do anything. Head down to the beach or take a drive up the coast. Get lost in a coastal bookshop or an antique store for hours.
Whatever. It doesn’t matter.
All that matters is that they’re together.

Scent of love
First things first an apology in advance for my mind and what it made me do. Second the tags of what is below the line Nico Rosberg X Jeremy Fragrance fic , their 1K worded meet-cute if you will non explicit. Third here is the ao3 link X Happy Reading xoxo.
Nico was on a much needed vacation as he felt the salt in the air, the dew of the morning sea breeze on his face as he walked down the pavement by the beach in Santa Monica. The feeling of the grainy sand under his shoes that got dragged from the beach a few steps away, the smell of the ocean it was perfect, he had chosen California for this reason and also the fact that F1 wasn’t as big here and he had such a small chance of anyone recognizing him.He bought a mango cup from one of the vendors on the side enjoying the contrasting flavors  of the sweetness of the mango and the tanginess of the lime and salt that was added like the do here.
“Fuck” Nico said as bumped into him causing some of the mango cup to spill on his white linen shirt, he thanked God he didn’t add chamoy or his shirt would have been stained as well as sticky as he felt the mango juice seep through the shirt and on his skin. He didn’t even get a chance to look and see who bumped into him when he heard “What is that scent?” as he felts a nose inhaling at his pulse point.
“What the hell get off of me!”
“You smell really good, what is that?”
Nico had enough and pushed the sweaty shirtless freak away from him, and it seemed like he didn’t want to go until Nico gripped the gelled hair and pulled the man’s head away from his neck. Finally taking a look and it was a little shocking this guy looked like a long lost brother, a doppelganger.
“So?” the strange man questioned Nico
Nico looked at the man confused what was wrong with him, what weird scent fetish did this guy have. Why was he sniffing Nico like a truffle pig in the forest desperate to catch the scent and why was he just staring at Nico waiting for an answer like any of this was a normal situation.
“Nothing I’m not wearing anything” Nico spat out.
“No after shave? That’s not Gucci Memoir? It’s a bit musky like it must have been your pheromones calling to me, also sorry by the way about your shirt, but mango does not stain so you should be fine. Are you German by the way?”
What the hell is Nico’s life, he was getting whiplash and for once it wasn’t from driving.
“Yes I’m German”
“Ah I could tell the accent, the blue eyes and blonde hair. You are almost as handsome as me. My Name is Jeremy” Jeremy said as he extended his hand.
“Nico” He responded as he shook Jeremy’s hand
“Ah, where are my manors? Nico, my compatriot, would you like a new shirt?”
“Are you going to buy me one?”
“No my home is right there” Jeremy said as he pointed to a pink house on the other side of the pavement a few meters down the pavement.
‘Fuck it’ Nico thought this day couldn’t get any weirder and a new shirt would beat having to walk 30 mins back to his Air-bnb in a sticky shirt. He’d also be close enough to a public space if this guy tried anything.
“Ok”
“Amazing, follow me, I was just about to start my jog as well, I usually head towards Venice to work out instead of the pier but fate wanted me to meet you instead” Jemery said as he walked towards his house.
Everything Nico learned about Jeremy made less sense because now that he took a good look trailing behind him, this guy was way too sweaty for the distance he had jogged and also the man was wearing white skinny jeans and a pair of white trainers that looked to be more for basketball than running. As they entered the house Nico was a bit in shock to look over at the kitchen table and see half of it covered in cologne bottles. This guy did have a scent fetish.
“Quite the collection you have” Nico comments breaking the silence
“Ah yes, actually review them online it is a passion of mine, I actually go by Jeremy Fragrance, it is funny people often ask me to smell them and guess their scent like I did to you.”
He comes closer to Nico again standing where Nico has to gaze up and meet Jeremy’s eyes as the man is slightly taller than him by a few inches, Nico now close enough to feel his warmth and catch a whiff of this man's cologne which he couldn’t identify if he tried probably a mix of something that is on the table.
“Nico let me say I am straight and currently looking for a God fearing woman to be my wife, but you are so beautiful and your scent has called me like no one else's not even a man made one---” he pauses to lean into Nico’s neck once more and take a deep breath.
“-like I said earlier it seems like fate a man like you almost in my image, I think we must explore” Jeremy says with conviction as he stares into Nico’s confused eyes hoping Nico gets his message.
This man is crazy but what a pitch Nico thinks, he also hasn’t kissed a man in months as it is hard to vet someone for something casual, he usually sticks to women as it doesn’t really matter if that gets out as it is something people assume about him anyways. Maybe it is fate he thinks as he looks up to Jeremy and closes the gap between their lips.
Jeremy is shocked for a moment before he melts into the kiss grinning as pitch had worked on sweet Nico. He slides a hand into Nico’s blonde locks noting that they are softer than his own then dipping Nico to gain control of the kiss as he slips his tongue in. He brings Nico back up and breaks the kiss.
“Now what we came here for” Jeremey grins as he strips Nico of his shirt.
For half a second Nico wonders if this was all a ploy but after that kiss he didn’t really care.

I just saw your Barbie jacket and fell in love, such beautiful work!
I want to get into sewing but have no idea where to start, do you have any tips?
Yes! FYI, I had the privilege of learning to sew at a really young age, around 10-12, thanks to 1) learning the basics from my mum 2) having a second-hand sewing machine I could futz around on as I pleased. But I truly think anyone can learn to sew, it does not have to be a childhood skill.
If you want to try it out before committing to buying anything except fabric, there are almost always community or adult education classes or courses that can teach you basics on their machines. Depends where you live but you might find them through your local community college or high school night class, library, YMCA/community centre, or even by asking at a fabric/craft store.
I highly recommend taking a couple of classes if you're a complete beginner - they can teach things like laying out and cutting patterns, threading a machine, the basic stitch and finishing options, etc. Often they can also teach you how to use your own machine, if you've bought one but you're a beginner.
If you want to try at home, at minimum you will need:
A basic sewing machine - you can very often find good second-hand machines online (ebay, craigslist, local buy/sell Facebook pages). Mine is a Janome and I've had it for almost 20 years, but the old 70s steel Singer machines are fantastic in terms of longevity.
A pair of reasonably sharp fabric scissors. You do not need to pay a million dollars for the best scissors, but going up a level from basic craft scissors, and keeping them only for cutting fabric (no paper) will make your cutting-out experience a lot easier.
A packet of sewing pins. For pinning down patterns and seams. I like the glass-head pins since they don't melt if you iron over them.
A tape measure for measuring yourself and checking your seam width, hems, etc.
An iron and ironing board (or table with a thick towel laid down, if space is a real problem).
A flat surface to lay out and cut your fabric - dining table or floor both work fine.
A needle for hand-sewing - to sew on things like buttons.
A box of empty bobbins to wind your bobbin thread onto.
In terms of patterns - there are a huge range of indie pattern companies online now (meaning they're not the big commercial patternmakers like Butterick). Most often, you can buy their patterns as a PDF and print it out on your home computer. In all honesty I much prefer indie patterns to commercial - they're often a lot more up to date with style, and usually not as expensive - but they can also be limited in terms of sizing, the range of style options, and some people really like a printed paper pattern instead of having to print your own. I recommend Papercut Patterns as an indie option that's great for beginners.
Indie instructions can also sometimes be a bit confusing (I find Etsy patterns the worst for this) although often you can email them and ask - or Google "[name of pattern] sew along" for a video tutorial. You can also find step by step video or blog post tutorials for pretty much every sewing technique, including things like putting in a zip, sewing buttonholes, etc.
Once you've picked your pattern, you'll obviously need fabric. There are a million people online who espouse the virtue of sewing with old bedsheets from thrift stores; in all honesty I don't love doing this because 1) I get a huge amount of joy from beautiful fabrics 2) if you want to make things that look 'professional'/store-bought, bedsheet cotton is not always your best friend. BUT it is probably the cheapest option for fabric, and a very good way to start or to test that a pattern fits and you know how to make it before you cut it out in the nice linen that cost $30 a yard. Using thrifted fabric is also obviously really eco-conscious, although a lot of fabric stores (especially independent ones vs chain stores like Spotlight or Joann) make a point of selling 'deadstock' fabric - fabric leftover from a clothing designer's run.
That's probably enough to start, honestly just fuck around and have fun with it, screw up a few times, lean into the imperfection. I still regularly scrap projects that aren't working for me, no shame in doing so as long as you're enjoying yourself!

His hands are flat against the linen, sliding forwards and out, causing crinkles to appear in his path. He smooths them out, making sure the fabric is completely flat against the large, marble table.
Porchay has a vision.
When he was taking Kim's measurements earlier this morning, his boyfriend asked him why he didn't just go out and buy what he was looking for. They had the money and resources to be able to get anything he wanted after all.
Chay had just looked at him with a flat expression and said nothing. Sometimes Kim says or does things that makes it very obvious that he grew up entitled and with money, having no idea how the world works for less fortunate people. As a musician who likes to make things with his own two hands, Kim really should understand where Chay is coming from, so he made sure to fix him with a particularly unimpressed look at that comment.
It's not just about the end product. It's about the fun of creating something, the fun of learning a new skill and the joy of giving someone precious a handmade gift full of love.
Kim had looked away awkwardly as Porchay didn't even bother to give him a response, continuing to measuring the length of his long legs.
He'll understand when Chay gives the pants to him, because Kim always really loves the gifts Chay makes for him. He gets that soft look in his eyes and he takes better care of the them than he does anything else he owns, even his instruments.
One of Chay's secret, personal goals in life is to keep getting Kim to make that expression. As often as possible, ideally.
He holds up the pattern, scrutinising it.
He'll be honest, he's not entirely sure what he's doing. He'd done some research of course, but this is still his first time making any sort of clothing item. Flowy pants like these are supposed to be one of the easiest things to make, though… according to the online communities at least.
Drawing out the pattern carefully, Chay begins to settle into that creative headspace he craves where time feels fluid and slips by like a gentle stream. The gramophone crackles as it plays WiK's first album, the music background and soothing his usually racing thoughts.
As the sky begins to darken and Chay realises he's beginning to have difficulty seeing, he decides to take a quick break to switch on the lights and sate the hunger he hadn't noticed he was feeling until now. He loves sewing, he decides.
The pants are…
They're not great, if he's being honest. They're definitely a first attempt. But he's proud of them and he can probably call them complete for now. He will need Kim himself to put them on so he can check the waist and leg length, as he's not nearly skilled enough to feel confident completing them without checking.
Looking over at his work station while he eats, he takes a moment to imagine again what Kim will look like in lovely, white and lightly flowery patterned cullottes. He hasn't really thought about the top half yet, but maybe something blue or yellow would look nice.
Kim always dresses so masculine, but Chay has caught him eyeing more feminine pieces out shopping before. He's not sure why Kim doesn't experiment with his clothes, but Chay is more than ready to encourage him to try new things.
And he can't really say no if it's a gift. Well he could say no, but he won't.
Kim will be finishing up at the studio soon. Chay takes out his phone and takes a picture of his work station, sending it to his boyfriend over Snapchat with only a heart caption.
He pauses for a moment, watching in their chat as Kim's icon shows up in the corner and his message flicks over to 'opened'.
He smiles, and sends over several more hearts in varying colours.
He can't wait until Kim gets home.

First Impressions
[Information in this post is provided for out-of-character reference.]
General
Name: Inezra Thamus
Age: 19 (?) Sweeps / 41 Years
Species: "Troll"
Gender: Female
Pronouns: Usually referred to by She/Her in narration. Not picky.
Location: Alternia
Build: Inezra is 6'7" with a strongman-esque build. Undefined but functional muscles, a bit of a stomach, and broad shoulders.
Style: Gravitates towards leather, chains, and spikes for both protection and aesthetic reasons. Clothes are usually generic (the kinds of things you'd be able to buy in bulk from a retail store) and some degree of stained, worn, or ripped. The only exception to this are the jackets Inezra wears, which are usually the most well-kept items in her wardrobe.
Sounds & Scents: Has a bit of a drawl and tends to speak in a lower register. Gravelly voice, quieter than one would initially assume. Typically smells like cigarette smoke, copper, sweat, and wet, disturbed soil on bad nights. Good nights are more tolerable; fresh linen, cheap antibacterial soap, aftershave.
Notable Characteristics: Black irises, multiple facial piercings. Scarring on visible parts of the body; throat, forearms, and hands.
Social
Status: Single?
Personality: Generally unpleasant both in online and offline spaces. Gruff, not particularly talkative, and quick to anger. Is either apathetic to most attempts to interact or holding fast to an extreme degree of antagonism and vitriol.
Occupation: Works several miscellaneous jobs. Primarily physical labor, contract work as an A/V technician, and some under the table work.
Hobbies: Telling people to kill themselves online, fighting, making music, following local sports.
Setting and Background
This character isn't affiliated with any greater community or universe.
No SBURB / SGRUB AU.
My current running theory is that the Church of the Mirthful Messiahs worship an elder god. The clown cult is basically in charge. Sort of. Ish. The usual.
The Summoner's rebellion was squashed / didn't happen. Adults are still on planet.
Trollkind tampering with Elder Gods is part of why they're hyperviolent and somewhat crazy. More details on that later maybe.
Alternia is a true intergalactic empire with all the issues that come with it. Imperialism is a hot topic.

GUIDELINES
The higher up a character is in the list, the more recent the relationship.
Information presented here may change as my character interacts with others.
I recommend reading my meta notes on Inezra’s personality if you’re unsure where your character stands with her or why.
Some of Inezra’s opinions and feelings come from the type of content other characters reblog and their personal posts. She’s always judging you.
CLOSE CONNECTIONS
Notice how this section is empty.
CONNECTIONS
(paranormalcryologist) John Lalonde: TBD.
(edgarallen-foe) John Lalonde: TBD.
Adjaxi Cavalo: TBD.
Advoca Netrak: You’re not really here for the constant romantic posting, the tags, or any of that shit, but she doesn’t exactly get on your nerves either. Now that you've had a chance to actually talk to her you're not sure she's trustworthy.  She's lived a while, and usually there's only a handful of reasons for that.
Damithal Diabolus, From Hell: Who knew demons had OnlyFans?
Mara Sov, Alien Ruler: Making fun of her race before you had context that she ruled over an entire people was kind of your bad, but you would absolutely do it again. At least she took it in stride.
(fuckingshutup) Jasper: TBD.
(therealslimstrider) Dirk Strider, Dirk: This Dirk is related to the only Dave you can tell apart from the others. Despite being related, whatever that is, they don’t seem very much alike. You would classify Dirk as “cool” for lack of other descriptors. He's a little melodramatic for your tastes, but your interests align in such a way you don't see a reason to fuck with him on the regular.
(0empty0eyes0) Aradia "ee" Megido, ee: You don’t know anything about her except the fact she’s supposedly dead or something. So far nobody has provided you any concrete proof that ee is dead, you're not going out of your way to find out, and somehow your refusal to acknowledge ghosts has turned into a recurringing argument with Alex. ee on the other hand is (as far as you can tell) increasingly not fond of you. It would be funny if you cared a little more.
(yifftwiceplz) Dave Strider, Dave Human: There's something to be said about this dude. He's kind of “your” Dave, insofar as any of the humans in Sefoni’s extended social circle are yours. You don't have an equivalent for him, but he's tamer in comparison to other Daves cropping up on your radar. Still irritating and unfunny on occasion, but sometimes he does you a favor by reblogging a genuinely funny post.
(feeling-horsey) Equius Zahhak, Zahhak #2: Between the muscle posting and his general, unbearably earnest nature, you kind of don't like this guy. It's probably a plus to some people that he's pretty much what you see is what you get, but you don't like what he has to give.
(absylphe) Kanaya Maryam, Busybody: She has a subtle sense of humor you’re still picking up on, and for some reason also seems keen to ask you questions you’re not interested in answering. She also glows. Legitimately. If anything you're the one that should be asking questions.
Alex Miller:  You’re still figuring them out. They’re funny in an awkward sort of way, and messing with them is proving to be enjoyable. The more you learn about them the more unsure you are about their humanity, and have slotted that into the list of things you'll worry about later.
Sollux Peixes, Lux: You really don’t want to get started on this one. Lux exists in that weird in-between space where you’re both amused and annoyed by him. You wish she would actually do something with herself, but not because you care about her. Watching other people suffer gets boring after a while. Watching people continually fumble the bag on every opportunity given to them gets your blood boiling. Watching Lux is like a mixed bag of shitty entertainment with a payoff that could be so good but the writers will never fucking do it.
Lanota Nimtue: You can appreciate a troll that bites back. On paper, you’re similar. In reality there’s so much that sets you apart you don’t really feel like thinking about it right now. Now you're kind of toeing the line between platonic hatred and whatever passes for complicated acquaintanceship leading into friendship. None of this was your first choice—you definitely don't like it—but there's fuck all you can do about it now except get your fingers smashed in a car door.
Aressa Alkmin, Cardboard Cutout: You’ve met some vapid trolls in your life. You’ve even pretended not to know shit for the hell of it, but you’ve never met someone so good at saying absolutely nothing in conversation while thinking they’re an excellent socialite. What is it with this generation?
Sefoni Peixes, Wife: She said she wouldn't let you die until she wanted you to. What more could you ask for?
Talula Zahzii, Ex-Partner: She's kind of a wreck but so are you. You dated for a while and it lasted as long as your other relationships did, but it was nice.
Dialus Bolrik, Ex-Partner: This ship sailed so many sweeps ago you're not going to give yourself a headache diving into your feelings. You're hoping you can catch up sometime soon, seeing as you're back in orbit and everything.
BACKSTORY
These are my other characters. Maybe you’ve heard of them.
Kikass Wosley, Nuisance: A nosy detective who you're going to dismember if they get too close to your personal life.
Aonarm Vurzic, Sobriety Buddy: You know them through Maerig. They don't drink anymore which limits about 80% of the fun you can have to standing around and talking. They are, at the very least, chill and non-judgemental. You wouldn't go sobbing about your problems to them though.
Maerig Gwayna, Open Tap: Somebody you owe a couple of favors for putting up with you over the sweeps. You're far from close, and yeah you might exchange some words on serious topics every now and then, but you're not friends.
Glynne Cacein, Ex-Bandmate: A "percussionist" rather than a "drummer." You refused to acknowledge the difference then and you're going to refuse to acknowledge the difference between "best-selling book" and "best-selling author" now. You actually spoke recently and it wasn't terrible. It took a load off you if anything. Not enough to reach out to your other ex-bandmates. But enough.
Biuret Reagan, Ex-Bandmate: They used to do vocals for your band back in college. You don't know what the fuck they do now and you most certainly do not care. Except you actually care, just a little bit, because now you're interested in doing something more worthwhile in your life. Maybe it's time to dust off some old connections.
Juelie Yseone, Ex-Bandmate: Played guitar, yadda yadda. Used to be all into weird piercing combinations and some other junk you didn't really care about. Of course they're doing whatever the fuck with bodies and playing detective with damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't Wosley of all trolls. More power to them. They're as tall as you remember but a hair more quiet. You guess that girl of theirs finally took out their tongue.

Character Intro: Penia & Ptocheia (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Patronesses of Beggars, Mothers of Misfortune by the people of Olympius
The Plain Janes by Dione
Age(s)- 32 (immortal)
Location- Shadowstone neighborhood, New Olympus
Personalities- Their sister bond runs as deep as the ichor flowing in their veins. They are incredibly close as fraternal twins. Penia is the more authoritative one out of the two while Ptocheia is the silent observer. They both strongly dislike the gross display/overconsumption or gaudy materialistic wealth, feeling that its plauging their present society. They're both incredibly frugal, shrewd, resourceful, self-sufficient, & a bit pessimistic. Penia is married while Ptocheia is single.
They both have the abilities of a standard goddess except shapeshifting. Other powers/abilities they share being the goddess of poverty & goddess of beggary include making a person or group of people feel destitute temporarily, chrimatakinesis (money manipulation) as it relates to poverty inducement, being able to manipulate copper, & being able to make new objects appear withered and worn down by their touch. Penia has the ability of elasticity (is able to stretch, expand, deform/contract her body into any form imaginable) while Ptocheia has the ability of beggary inducement.
Notable physical features that they share are their thick arched eyebrows and their close set dark amber colored eyes.
Their mother is Amechania (goddess of helplessness & want). They love each other in their own way, though they don't say those words.
The sisters reside in a townhouse in the Shadowstone neighborhood of New Olympus. Their next door neighbors are a Harpy family that has six children. Ptocheia lives on the ground floor while Penia & her husband lives on the upper floor. The interior of the townhouse is very minimalist with the walls being painted in colors of cream, mauve, burgundy, dark blue, and black. The furnishings are quite simple as well with lots of wooden chairs, a mahogany table in the dining room, & cotton loveseats as well as a couch. In the china in the living room, there's several jars filled to the brim with obol coins. The townhouse has the necessary appliances (including a washer & dryer) and they all have basic cable and internet. The news channel is a go-to thing to watch with The Agnostic Network being a close second.
They get around through use of public transportation. They also use their bikes sometimes.
A notable jewelry accessory Penia wears is her plain gold wedding band. Ptocheia wears a simple citrine amber ring on her pointer finger and a gold chain necklace with a drachma charm.
The sisters both like to drink water prefering the brand Pure H2O over Cleanstream. Penia deems Cleanstream's glass bottles as unnecessary. They also don't mind Strengthify vitamin water. They also enjoy coffee- with Penia's usual go-tos from The Roasted Bean being an olympian sized dark roast coffee and a small iced tea while Ptocheia prefers a large vanilla sweet cream cold brew & an iced green tea. Penia also enjoys a glass of red wine, buying a few bottles at the grocery store for less than twenty drachmas.
The sisters' personal fashion style is the true definition of "normcore"- characterized by unpretentious, average looking clothing. There's dark & neutral colors, sweaters, button down shirts, trousers, simple belts, high waisted jeans, sneakers, flat sandals, and other practical & basic pieces. They're huge fans of the high waisted black skinny jeans from Nocturnal Vibez. Ptocheia bought 10 pairs of jeans during Gold Friday (with coupons & online sale codes). They also like the linen shirts, trousers, wide leg linen pants, oversized jackets, and oxford flats from Threads of Wisdom. They also like flats, mary janes, & ankle boots.
There's never a shortage of various shopping coupons at their place!
Penia loves eating a bowl of plain oatmeal topped with almonds & blueberries for breakfast. She'll also settle for a lightly toasted and buttered everything bagel from The Bread Box.
Ptocheia loves a small bowl of Earthly Harvest's raisin crunch cereal or a yogurt granola bar.
They're in a long list of minor deities that don't have a temple built in their honor. It's specifically said that the reasoning behind it is that the general public in Olympius don't want to invite the looming threat of overwhelming poverty into their lives. The sisters' induction ceremony also had the lowest attendance only beaten by Dyssebeia (goddess of ungodliness & impiety).
Penia usually wears her long straight mousy brown hair in a low tight ponytail or a low twisted knot. Ptocheia's dark brown hair is styled in a lob cut, with her usually wearing simple headbands or hair clips.
Their main official role/job is being in the government's department of social services overseeing the Welfare/Financial Assistance branch- (which include things like food stamps, homelessness prevention, rental assistance, cash assistance, employment services, etc...) They're also planning on co‐writing a book on financial tips together!
They don't like or trust banks (especially Hermes), so their earnings are kept in a safe hidden in the floorboards of their townhouse.
The sisters are very picky on who they choose to be eligible to recieve the services.
It's said that they were the ones who discussed with Hera to push the HHI (Harpies Housing Initiative) to the forefront.
They both only have two credit cards.
Penia is married to Porus (god of resourcefulness). Their wedding was the least glamorous- the ceremony taking place at New Olympus City Hall. She wore a basic cream pantsuit & navy blue kitten heels while Ptocheia served as their witness. Afterwards, they all celebrated at a dinner thrown at Porus' brother's house. Their honeymoon was a week long excursion in the Underworld. It was the longest the sisters were separated from each other.
Ptocheia is single & has been for a couple hundred years. She's always been shy, reserved, and socially awkward to put herself out there. She cried when Dione's "plain Jane" comment made its way back to her. Ptocheia used to have unrequited feelings for Pathos (god of emotion) and is now noticing her growing romantic feelings towards Cocytus (Titan god of wailing & lamentation). She enjoys the deep conversations they've had despite never meeting in person. They text for hours at a time. Ptocheia quietly wept when she saw some of his art displayed at NOMMA (New Olympus Museum of Modern Art), calling his paintings "gut-wrenchingly beautiful."
The sisters' shared businesses include a homeless shelter, a soup kitchen (Psomí & Zoí), a chain of discount variety stores (The Drachma Bargain) where the merchandise is low priced with many of the products costing one drachma, coin-cashing kiosks located in supermarkets, banks, & check cashing places, and a self storage business named The Border Realm. The sisters are notoriously known to pay their employees the legal minimum wage.
In the pantheon the sisters have shared friends like Lethe (Titaness of forgetfulness, oblivion, & concealment), Apheleia (goddess of simplicity), Eikono (goddess of iconography & literature), Amphictyonis (Amy) (goddess of diplomacy), Moros (god of doom), Geras (god of old age), Oizys (goddess of anxiety, misery, & depression), The Litae, and Eusebeia (goddess of piety, loyalty, duty, & filial respect).
Penia's friends with Praxidike (goddess of judicial punishment), Limos (goddess of starvation & famine), and Styx (Titaness of hatred).
Ptocheia is friends with Peitharchia (goddess of obedience & discipline), Ichnaea (goddess of tracking), Aeschyne (goddess of modesty & honor), and Soteria (goddess of safety).
They do also like Hestia (goddess of the hearth); and her chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting, Karme (demi-goddess of the harvest), Favian (god of philosophy), and Elpis (goddess of hope).
The deities that they dislike is a long list- the main offenders being Clymene (Titaness of fame & renown), Zeus (god of the sky, thunder, & lightning), Orthosia (goddess of wealth), Pheme (goddess of fame), Aplistos (god of avarice), and Evimería (goddess of prosperity) for their grossly overwhelming display of materialistic wealth.
They are known to do their taxes & pay their bills on time.
A favorite sweet treat of theirs is vanilla ice cream!
As for make-up the sisters won't go as far as a bit of mascara, concealer, & lip balm. They also like wearing nail polish keeping their nails neatly trimmed. Penia likes Olmorfia's nail polish in "Clearly There", "Yes We Tan" (a nude brown color), and "Pine-ing for You" (a rich dark green color). Ptocheia likes to wear the shades "Seize the Gray", "Berry Naughty" (a rich dark red color), & "Autumnal Fever Pitch" (a dark burnt orange color).
The sisters love using the Hairology soap free shampoo bar when they wash their hair.
Penia likes the meditteranean veggie & chicken sandwich on wheat bread from The Bread Box while Ptocheia prefers the avocado egg salad sandwich on rye bread along with a small onion-mushroom soup.
Some of the greatest gifts they ever got was a collection of black leather satchel, baguette, crossbody, tote, & bucket bags from various fashion brands from Eusebeia. Penia was pleasantly surprised to discover that she bought them off Lé Real- a website which sells previously owned and heavily discounted luxury items.
When eating out, the sisters are mindful about what they buy. They like plain cheese pizza & they love the special value meal from Olympic Chef for 10 drachmas- a box of 20 chicken nuggets, two olympian sized fries, & two olympian sized drinks. At home meal prepping is the way to go because they buy ingredients in bulk, freeze extra food for later, and more importantly, they spend less money eating out. Their favorite meal prep recipes include the smoky chicken & cinnamon roasted sweet potatoes (with green beans), cold peanut noodle salad, moussaka mac n' cheese, ground turkey & rice stir fry, chicken souvlaki with lemon butter orzo, no cook Greek pitas, and balsamic pasta salad.
The sisters (along with Porus) are thinking about moving to the Underworld, which they'll build a house of their own.
In their free time, the sisters like staying in whether it's solving crosswords, reading, writing, sewing, & knitting. When outside they enjoy jogging, yoga, bike riding, going to the museum, pottery, and horseback riding.
"Poverty is a necessary thread in society's fabric. It doesn't breed adversity, it breeds survivors."

Guide to Budget Home Makeovers in Hyderabad: Tips from Shruti Creative Space
Decorating your home on a budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style or comfort. Whether you’re moving into a new place or just looking to refresh your current space, there are many ways to create a beautiful home without breaking the bank. In this guide, we’ll share simple and budget-friendly home decor tips, with a special focus on home interior designers in Hyderabad by Shruti Creative Space.
1. Start with a Plan Before making any purchases, take some time to plan your home decor. Decide on a theme or color palette that suits your style. By planning ahead, you can avoid impulse buys and focus on key pieces that will have the most impact. A clear plan will also help you prioritize your budget for the most important areas of your home.
2. Choose Multi-Functional Furniture When working with a limited budget, it’s important to invest in furniture that serves more than one purpose. Look for sofas with storage, folding tables, or beds with built-in drawers. These pieces save space and help reduce the number of items you need to buy, making them a cost-effective choice for any home.
3. DIY Decor Projects One of the best ways to decorate on a budget is by doing it yourself. Simple projects like painting old furniture, creating wall art, or repurposing old items can add personality to your space. There are plenty of online tutorials and resources to help you get started. Plus, DIY projects give you the freedom to customize your decor to fit your style perfectly.
4. Opt for Affordable Materials When it comes to furniture and accessories, consider choosing materials that are both affordable and durable. For instance, you can find beautiful wooden or metal furniture that won’t break the bank. Fabrics like linen or cotton are great for curtains and cushions and can add a luxurious touch without the high price tag.
5. Use Lighting to Enhance the Space Good lighting can transform any room. Natural light is the best, so try to maximize windows and use light curtains to allow more sunlight in. If you’re working with artificial lighting, opt for energy-efficient LED bulbs, which will save you money in the long run. Adding table lamps or fairy lights can create a cozy atmosphere at an affordable cost.
6. Incorporate Greenery Plants are an easy and affordable way to add life and color to your home. Indoor plants like succulents, ferns, or snake plants require little maintenance and can be found at affordable prices in local markets around Hyderabad. Greenery not only enhances the aesthetic of your space but also improves air quality.
7. Shop Smart for Accessories Accessories like rugs, cushions, and wall art can add color and texture to your home without a huge investment. Look for budget-friendly options at local markets, online stores, or even second-hand shops. You can also create your own wall art or buy inexpensive frames and prints to add personality to your walls.
Consult Home Interior Designers in Hyderabad by Shruti Creative Space If you need expert advice or professional help to bring your budget-friendly vision to life, consider consulting home interior designers in Hyderabad by Shruti Creative Space. Their team can help you make the most of your budget, offering creative solutions and design ideas tailored to your space and style.
