Dreams of You [pt2] - Sae x Reader
Sae x Reader , oneshot, slight angst + comfort
[pt.1] <- the angst
[ BLLK Oneshot Masterlist ]
TW: heavy ooc, bad grammar, bad spelling, bad formatting, cringe, scuff, etc.
(Req by: @darkcowboypirate + @sereniauhhh ! ty u two sm for techincally my first req on tumblr :D)
Sae lucked out.
Usually he doesn’t take up promotion offers or other sponsorships and such, but when the chance came to model with you on a shoot, he had agreed before he could even comprehend what was happening.
The brand was a pretty big one, one of the biggest sports brands in Japan. They were known for hiring big name athletes, and with soccer being on the rise, they had extended invitations to you and Sae.
(you could be requested since ur a model, or being a pro soccer player, or just a normal person with connections to the agency, it’s up to you!)
Sae wasn’t sure if you had declined your invitation, the agency said that you had yet to get back to them when he asked.
But Sae would be willing to wager his right foot if it meant there was even a chance to see you again.
He had deleted all your contacts the day he broke up with you, and he hated himself for it. Sae had considered buying a phone book just to flip through every page to find your name, or contact the phone agency to go through their database. But he told himself to keep some dignity so you wouldn’t think he was pathetic. (he knew he was. And it was his fault)
The dreams of you never went away. But slowly he started to find comfort in them. Going to sleep sooner, and trying to get himself to fall back asleep were unfortunately now part of his schedule.
“I miss you” “What are you talking about Sae, I’m right here!” “...I wish you were.” “?” “I’m so sorry. Please, forgive me.”
✈️✈️🕓
Sae’s eyes opened slowly, he grumbled and sighed before rolling over and checking his phone for the time
7:45am
Sae’s mental health started to get better, the more he accepted that he missed you. But obviously with that, he was thinking of you more. You were his wallpaper, password, he buys your favorite food and drinks when he goes out, everything.
If ur famous, he even has some of your merch, and has made donations to you before.
“If I can't have the real thing I'll settle for this”
Sae was happy to just be your fan (even if you aren't famous), he could still love you without having to hurt you.
But part of him still hoped you were single, that you still loved him, at least that you didn't hate him.
He wanted to apologize, he needed to. Unless you've moved on already… was it bad that he hoped you didn't?
Whatever… it was time to get going anyway.
Sae threw on the first articles of clothing he could find, since it was a modeling shoot, he would be given new things to wear anyway.
He wondered what you would wear.
His hoodie maybe? No. He demanded it back when you broke up, and now he was clinging to your scent on it like a dog. He wished he'd at least left you with something
Sae mindlessly waved off the tact driver as he got out the car and walked through the building. The shoot was set to take place on the 53rd floor.
He spammed the elevator button, unconsciously wanting to see you sooner. He even arrived early and everything, knowing that you often showed up a half hour before anything started.
The elevator doors opened, Sae felt a bit disappointed that he hadn't accidentally ran into you. Whatever. He'd see you in a few minutes anyway.
As the numbers indicating the floors went up, Sae’s mind became just a bit more crowded. His palms had a few beads of sweat as he quenched his fist, he hadn't been this nervous even for the BLLK vs U20 game.
He shut his eyes and focused his mind. It wasn't that big of a deal.
The doors opened. Finally.
Sae stepped out and tried not to walk to fast and seem desperate, he pushed open the door to the designated room.
Even though there were still 30 minutes til the shoot, camera men, makeup specialists, designers, and staff were running around, helping the other models.
But Sae payed no mind to them. He skimmed the faces of everyone, getting more and more frustrated that you weren't there.
“Mr.Itoshi!” An assistant called out “Please, right this way, let's get you dressed-”
“Quiet.”
Sae shushed him instantly.
He continued looking around, and there you were.
You stood outside the room, leaning out on the handrails of the balcony looking down.
A shiver went up your spine, you hated heights. What were you doing here?
Right. Avoiding a certain man Calming yourself down before the reunion  Nothing really.
You sighed. You had no clue if Sae would show, of if you even wanted him to…
Who are you kidding. You've been dreaming about the man for the past several months, of course you missed him.
If only he missed you too.
“Careful now”
An arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you back from the railing and into their chest.
“I thought you hated heights.”
“...Sae…? I thought you hated me?”
“No. I would never.”
Sae brushed your hair out of your face, Fuck. He was in love again.
You looked down, not sure what to say as you avoided his gaze.
“Hey. Look at me.”
He lightly tilted your head up with his finger, eyes locked on yours
“I missed you.”
He leaned in and kissed your lips, which he had missed oh so much
“You don't know how many times I've dreamt about this.”

I know you spoke about how things would "end" for Toby and Nat if O/S ever came together again, but what about Nina and Kate? I figure things would be hard for Kate seeing as she's been there for like a decade.🤔 maybe they will move to NYC idk
did you reference nyc cuz u remembered that one ask... if yes that made me smile. also u guys asking for these sort of 'good' endings remind me of Laundry & Taxes so u guys should go read it..
anyway, it is probably the hardest for kate. she has an 8th grade education, only shreds of humanity, blood on her hands, and no clue where her family is. she can't remember a single address or phone number.
just maybe, and this is difficult for me to imagine, nina could convince her to call a police department. she's been a missing person, not a wanted criminal - her family and friends all assumed she was kidnapped and killed long ago. so maybe she could go in, tell the police her name, have them search a database or two, figure SOMETHING out. go back to her dad. . .make up some story, claim amnesia of the last decade. use this a chance to get her GED and a job. but that's such an unlikely path for kate, i rlly struggle to imagine it...
so, like toby, she'd probably stick around that farm. work with toby.
i could see her asking BEN for one last bit of help, see if he could somehow go through whatever database that could get her SSN and whatnot, so she could get a job on her own . . without having to go home. maybe i should have BEN just create/steal one for Toby... regardless, she'd try to get some sort of stable footing. i could only see her working pretty physical jobs, not customer service or anything like that. maybe a job at a morgue... graveyard shifts and the sort... fitting for her.
in this circumstance, kate would try to stay with toby as long as he'd let her. but if he's with clocky, things would be pretty cramped, and get tense. so maybe she'd go live with jack for a long while... quiet, peaceful, familiar.
if nina and kate were together(or getting there), then i think . .
nina would beg kate to move in with her, stay full time at the apartment. it'd be hard at first, only to get even more difficult. they'd start arguing, kate would leave for days. not because she's angry with nina, but she's scared that if kate cant keep her emotions in check, the O/S syndrome will set right back in and make kate a danger.
but then she'd come back in the middle of the night, climbing into bed with an exhausted nina, pretending nothing bad happened. and then nina would wake up and she'd have to ask why kate left and kate would be like ? isnt it obvious. we were arguing. and ninas like BUT THATS NOT THE POINT and they'd get overwhelmed and have to deal with it again. cuz ninas not letting kate go. and kate doesn't wanna go.
once kate starts getting paychecks, she's terrible at saving. immediately blows it on nina, as thanks for all nina's done. buying her dresses, jewelry, ordering meals, skincare, spending hours going thru the magazines nina has around. nina would ask her to save a bit more, and she would listen, and then realize it's probably more helpful to buy things like groceries, pay bills, etc. but money doesn't hold much meaning to her, she never attributed her terrible life to a lack of money, so she's still quick to throw it away to make nina happy . . but nina would start sitting her down and being like STOP WASTING UR MONEY!!!! . oddly enough kate finds comfort in being told what to do. feels like guidance, in a way? especially because she KNOWS nina does it with love. not so kate does what she wants
and eventually, they'd be able to save to move. regrettably, not to NYC, because that's too expensive for either of them. but somewhere nice... a quiet neighborhood, preferably only a 20-ish minute drive from any fun attraction nina wants to visit. i could see them agreeing on somewhere near a beach(though that'd be far in the future cuz expensive..). the forest was so suffocating to kate, so the openness of the ocean would be a good change of pace
i think kate just wants to lay on a bed with blankets fresh out the dryer.

Chances are that your DNA is already in a database somewhere, waiting to be analyzed by wannabe Technocrats for markers to discriminate against you. Perhaps you gave blood, had surgery, or used companies like 23andMe. You will never know who gave you a negative assessment nor who ordered it in the first place. But, when you can’t buy life or health insurance you will get the picture. ⁃ TN Editor
The news came four years ago, at the end of a casual phone call. Bill’s family had always thought it was a freak coincidence that his father and grandfather both had ALS. But at the end of a catch-up, Bill’s brother revealed that he had a diagnosis too. The familial trend, it turned out, was linked to a genetic mutation. That meant Bill might also be at risk for the disease.
An ALS specialist ordered Bill a DNA test. While he waited for results, he applied for long-term-care insurance. If he ever developed ALS, Bill told me, he wanted to ensure that the care he would need as his nerve cells died and muscles atrophied wouldn’t strain the family finances. When Bill found out he had the mutation, he shared the news with his insurance agent, who dealt him another blow: “I don’t expect you to be approved,” he remembers her saying.
Bill doesn’t have ALS. He’s a healthy 60-year-old man who spends his weekends building his dream home by hand. A recent study of mutations like his suggests that his genetics increase his chances of developing ALS by about 25 percent, on average. Most ALS cases aren’t genetic at all. And yet, Bill felt like he was being treated as if he was already sick. (Bill asked to be identified by his first name only, because he hasn’t disclosed his situation to his employer and worried about facing blowback at work too.)
What happened to Bill, and to dozens of other people whose experiences have been documented by disease advocates and on social media, is perfectly legal. Gaps in the United States’ genetic-nondiscrimination law mean that life, long-term-care, and disability insurers can obligate their customers to disclose genetic risk factors for disease and deny them coverage (or hike prices) based on the resulting information. It doesn’t matter whether those customers found out about their mutations from a doctor-ordered test or a 23andMe kit.
For decades, researchers have feared that people might be targeted over their DNA, but they weren’t sure how often it was happening. Now at least a handful of Americans are experiencing what they argue is a form of discrimination. And as more people get their genomes sequenced—and researchers learn to glean even more information from the results—a growing number of people may find themselves similarly targeted.

ok quick question for the people still awake that are browsing tumblr. someone accidently reported my steam account for illegal purchases and item duplications when they meant to report someone else. I've been in contact with a Discord account who I was told to appeal to with the display name Kelly Thornton. so far I had to log out of steam on my compute and my account's email, phone number have been removed and my password have been changed. so far I had to buy a "$50 Razer Gold" and send the receipt and product key for the "Item Buying Process Data" on my steam account. I was told that I would be refunded twice (and $50 HAS been added to my steam wallet). unfortunately there was an error due to late compiling of the procedure. now, the database has already revoked the reports but I can't do any transactions like trading and buying in the market and in games. in order to get access to that I have to basically do the whole Razer Gold thing again. is this a scam? I can provide more details if needed

one of the things i do for my job is to call phone numbers on our database and try get them to buy one of our services.
there is this guy i called, and i was friendly with him, but the more he tries to prolong our conversation, the more its obvious he just wanted to ask me out on a date. i hung up with the classic customer service please stay in touch message. but he called me again at night. he kept probing personal info about me that im super uncomfortable about. i immediately cut my losses and rejected all of his calls. but sometimes he still texted me waiting for a response.
this isnt my first time getting pursued like that, so its not a bother but, this guy is weirdly persistent. i blocked him and things were quiet for almost a year, but a few months ago i got a new text from a new number. i blocked him again as soon as i know its him ofc. unwanted flirting is so creepy and uncomfortable.
i haven't gotten anything from the guy again so im safe, but last night i had a dream that this guy called me again and this time he knows where i live and my social media. guess im still not really over the whole incident. im so fucking lucky that i have the sense not to tell him anything. the dream is just a reminder how bad it could be if i dont have my paranoid instincts

how i pirate music
i'm seeing old posts hating on spotify circulating again, so i'll describe how i listen to music without paying for streaming
discovery through cracked spotify
i discover a lot of music through cracked versions of spotify. i'm in a number of circles that do music shares and i stream recommendations a few times before i decide to download anything
windows
i use the spot x modified client on my desktop: https://github.com/amd64fox/SpotX/. be sure to cancel your spotify subscription and remove your payment information before logging into any cracked version of spotify
android
these websites come and go, but you should be able to look up "spotify apk" and find a one button installation. you can get an up-to-date safe link by visiting the database in this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/ApksApps/comments/pcy1io/apksapps_official_megathread_apksme/
mac
i don't want to put anything weird on my work computer, which uses mac os, but if i control the music through my phone, then select my mac as the audio output device via spotify, i can listen ad free. here's the feature if you've not used it before: https://support.spotify.com/us/article/spotify-connect/
downloading music
file share
i download almost everything with soulseek, a p2p file sharing program: http://www.soulseekqt.net/. first you'll make a directory of music that you already have (say, from bandcamp) and soulseek will broadcast that to the world. you can then search other people's files for music you want and download it there
torrenting
i use the torrent client deluge: https://deluge-torrent.org/ and get my links from https://www.1377x.to/. you should use a vpn when torrenting; i happen to use surfshark because it's cheap. it is not perfect and if you want to torrent stuff there's better guides out there explaining how to do it safely
paying, but sticking it to the man
i buy more music now than i ever did when paying for streaming. i personally just use bandcamp, but i know people who use/rip CDs and other physical media. it's nice to support small artists and to upload big artists onto soulseek so other people can find it
audio quality
downloaded music is likely going to be higher quality than streamed music. if you don't know anything about audio quality i'd recommend downloading 320kps mp3 files. you can add a minbitrate filter at the bottom of your soulseek window. you've probably heard of FLAC before, but if you want to see how deep it goes, look up DSD or SACD
listening to downloaded music
windows
i use foobar2000: https://www.foobar2000.org/. it's designed to be modular and customizable, so it takes a little fiddling to get running. to start using it, i recommend: making a playlist and adding a file location of all your music (which should be your soulseek up and down directories). you can later make playlists of specific albums and tracks. then, look online for components like a theme or last.fm scrobbles if you want that kind of thing. last.fm scrobbles can be a great way to discover new music
android
foobar2000 recently released a mobile version but i haven't tried that yet. i use vinyl music player for no reason in particular: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.poupa.vinylmusicplayer
final notes
this isn't about doing music better; i just happen to like doing things this way. i still hang out and listen to my friends' cytube on loop. i blast nightcore on youtube. the goal is to listen to music and have a good time so do whatever is best for you

Why I'll Always Have Job Security, And Why I Feel Like Sisyphus
I looked through my work Junk folder I found something that could have been related to a customer, so I opened it. Turns out it was actually from another customer to my older work email address. In reviewing my data in this customer's database they also have my personal cell phone number and also my old San Francisco home address. They got my info from a crappy third party data company that clearly got it from some data breach or something, likely due to phishing.
Folks, the thing that few people really want to talk about is that with enough time any and all databases have weaknesses that can be exploited. I only work in email compliance, so if you don't want to believe me you don't have to, but from what I've seen if any computer is hooked up to the internet then it's possible to exploit security weaknesses - which are usually otherwise well-meaning but gullible people - into doing what they want, and then it's all downhill from there.
Here's an example: take a look at this page and start scrolling, looking at the size of the scroll bar. Tiny, huh? Almost like if you have a website that stores data about people you might be at risk of it being breached.
I will always recommend trying to limit how many places you reveal your physical and electronic addresses and your phone numbers, but...so did I, and it's still all out there anyway. So, don't be too surprised when you're spammed, because it's just going to happen anyway.
And marketers: stop buying data. Seriously. No one has a perfectly good list of "guaranteed customers," otherwise if they did they'd keep it for themselves and make millions. You're just being a shit to other people who will never know; you're hiding in obscurity and that means that you believe that you should be able to get away with whatever you want, but in truth you're just a piece of shit, and you've made someone's day a little more annoying in the hopes that you make some more money. Re-examine your life choices.
Anyway, now it's time to decide whether it will look better for my coworker to lead the investigation into this customer or if I just want to charge in asking direct questions like "How did you get my old home address and my cell number?" even though I know and just watch them squirm.

Free Disposable Number and Temp Mobile Number: The Ultimate Solution for Privacy
What is a Free Disposable Number?
A free disposable number is a temporary phone number that can be used for a short period, typically for one-time verification, communication, or online registration. These numbers are not tied to your personal information and disappear after use, offering a simple yet effective way to maintain privacy. Many people use these numbers when they want to avoid giving out their real phone numbers online.
One of the main reasons people choose disposable numbers is to protect their privacy and prevent unwanted marketing calls or spam messages. When signing up for online services, forums, or apps, the last thing you want is to have your phone number exposed to third parties. With a disposable number, you can keep your personal number safe while still gaining access to the services you need.
The Advantages of Using a Temp Mobile Number
A temp mobile number serves the same purpose as a disposable number, but it’s often seen as more versatile. Temp mobile numbers can be used for various short-term communications, such as receiving OTPs (One-Time Passwords), registration confirmations, or even temporary conversations without revealing your actual number. The primary advantage of using a temp number is that it offers a quick and easy way to interact without compromising your personal data.
Some of the most common uses of a temp mobile number include:
Avoiding Spam: By using a temporary number, you ensure that your primary phone number is not exposed to potential spammers.
Online Marketplace Transactions: When buying or selling on online marketplaces like Craigslist or eBay, a temp number ensures you can still communicate with the other party without disclosing your real number.
Short-Term Communication: Whether it's for a short-term project or a temporary event, a temp mobile number helps you manage communication efficiently.
Privacy in Sign-ups: When registering for websites that require phone numbers, a temporary number can be a great way to keep your personal number off their databases.
By using these numbers, you maintain control over who can contact you and when, while also keeping your data secure.
How to Get a Free Disposable Number?
There are various ways to get a free disposable number. Many online services offer free, temporary numbers that can be used for specific purposes. For example, some websites and mobile apps allow you to create a virtual number that can be used for a limited time. Phone Number Free Text You can use these services to register for websites or confirm an account without providing your real number.
There are also paid services that give you more flexibility, allowing you to choose specific area codes or access additional features like voice mail or call forwarding. However, many users find that free disposable numbers are sufficient for most of their needs.
Are These Numbers Secure?
While free disposable numbers and temp mobile numbers offer a high degree of privacy, it’s important to note that these services are not foolproof. Some platforms may still track usage data or use the number for marketing purposes. It’s essential to read the terms and conditions of the service to understand how your data will be handled.
Furthermore, disposable numbers are typically valid only for a short time, meaning that once they expire, they can no longer be used. temporary tel number If you need to maintain long-term privacy or need continuous access to the number, you may want to consider other options or pay for a more robust service.
Why You Should Use Disposable Numbers for Online Services
Using a free disposable number when signing up for online services is a great way to keep your personal phone number safe. Many websites require phone numbers for verification, but giving out your actual number could lead to unwanted contacts. By using a temporary phone number, you can maintain your privacy and avoid receiving spam or unsolicited calls. It's an easy, secure, and effective way to safeguard your personal information in an increasingly connected world.
