Which material of mobile phone screen is the best?
With the rapid development of the times, smartphones have spread all over the world. However, among all the parts of a smartphone, the one we touch most should be the screen. Sometimes the quality of the screen is the main condition that determines whether we buy or not, so many of our mobile phone friends will take the screen size as the first choice when buying a mobile phone. But only care about the size or resolution of the mobile phone screen, and don't care about the quality of the screen material, this is a big misunderstanding when buying. You should know that the quality of a mobile phone's screen is related to many factors, such as screen material and bonding technology.
The material types of the mobile phone screen include LCD, TFT, IPS, OLED, and AMOLED.
However, which material of mobile phone is better? Let KTBABA tell you how to distinguish mobile phone screen materials: LCD, TFT, IPS, OLED, AMOLED.
The full name of LCD is liquid crystal display, which is the most widely used mobile phone screen material. It is characterized by low price and widespread use. It needs backlight support when displaying.
In the main screen material of the mobile phone parameter table, some letter combinations such as TFT, IPS, SLCD, UFB, SNT, NOVA, etc. are often seen. They do not represent different screen materials, but different display technologies of LCD. The most common LCD technologies in mobile phone screens mainly include TFT, IPS, SLCD, and other screen materials:
LCD Display
The LCD screen is composed of a backlight, a lower polarizing plate, a driving layer, a liquid crystal layer, a color filter, and an upper polarizing plate. Among them, the driving layer is composed of thin-film transistors (TFT), so the term TFT-LCD is often seen.
TFT Display
TFT (Thin Film Transistor) is a thin-film field-effect transistor, which is a type of active-matrix liquid crystal display.
The TFT liquid crystal display is characterized by good brightness, high contrast, strong layering, and bright colors, but it also has the disadvantages of relative power consumption and high cost.
For example, the famous JDI screen is a TFT-LCD display, which uses LTPS low-temperature polysilicon technology screen. Compared with traditional LCD screens, JDI screens are thinner and more transparent.
Many representative models are using JDI screens, such as Huawei mate10 and Nubia Red Devils gaming phone.
IPS Display
IPS, commonly known as "Super TFT", is a technology upgraded from TFT. The essence is still a TFT screen, but a TFT screen using IPS technology. Compared with the ordinary TFT screen, it has the advantages of a large viewing angle, accurate color reproduction, no watermark on the touch, environmental protection, and power saving.
The representative model is the iPhone. For a long time, the iPhone has used an IPS screen. The best quality IPS screen is basically bought by Apple every year. Compared with Android phones of the same price, the iPhone uses an IPS screen, even if the resolution is lower. , The look and feel of the screen can still be maintained to the top level. But starting with iPhone X, Apple mobile phones have begun to use AMOLED screens.

But starting with iPhone X, Apple mobile phones have begun to use AMOLED screens.
SLCD Display
SLCD is a special LCD screen for splicing. It is a high-end and advanced variety of LCDs. It is characterized by warmer colors, realism, is more natural, and is suitable for human eyes.
At present, HTC mobile phones use the most SLCD screens.
OLED
OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) refers to organic light-emitting diodes. OLED does not require backlight support, has self-luminescence, and has the advantages of wide viewing angle, high contrast, low power consumption, high response rate, full color, and simple manufacturing process.
According to the driving method, OLED can be divided into passive OLED (PMOLED) and active OLED (AMOLED).
AMOLED screen
AMOLED screens have the characteristics of bendable, wide color gamut, display colors are more vivid, and have the advantages of self-luminous and low power consumption, and have become a hot choice for mainstream high-end mobile phones.
In the field of AMOLED displays, Samsung and LG can be said to dominate the world, with a market share of more than 90%, so the best AMOLED screen phones are of course Samsung’s latest flagship phones, such as Samsung Note9, S9, Xiaomi 8, OPPO Find X, Vivo Nex, Meizu 16, Apple iPhone X, etc.
According to the driving method, OLED can be divided into passive OLED (PMOLED) and active OLED (AMOLED).
In short, if you want to choose a good screen, look for AMOLED and IPS screens, especially AMOLED. Most high-end flagship phones use AMOLED screens.
In addition to paying attention to the screen material and resolution, we also need to care about the screen's full bonding technology and packaging technology, and other parameters.
KTBABA will share with you the fitting technology of the mobile phone screen next time.

One place that has continuously evolved in the Android space is gaming phones. While traditional smartphones are always moving forward, gaming phones tend to push the limits even further. Perhaps that's because gaming phones are newer. Or maybe it's because gamers demand more from their hardware. It could be a little of both.
Whatever the reason, the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro gaming phone is definitely all about pushing the limits of what we expect from a smartphone. It's packed with all kinds of gaming-focused features and specs that rival some of the most expensive Android flagships on the market.
However, it manages to rival those phones are a $699 price tag, which is quite reasonable for what the phone brings to the table.

Red Magic 6 Pro Specs
Because this is a gaming phone, it's really all about the specs. Starting with the processor, you'll find a Snapdragon 888. When it comes to flagship smartphone processors, this is the current model that the best devices are using (along with Samsung's latest Exynos chipset).
It also has 16GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. You'll have a hard time finding a mobile application or game that requires more than 16GB of RAM, so everything should run with ease.
Since it is using a Snapdragon 888 processor, you'll get 5G connections across all the major bands. Of course, you'll need to live in an area with 5G support, but even if you don't, it has full support for LTE as well.
To put it simply, the Red Magic 6 Pro has everything you could want under the hood. Playing games that push smartphones to their limits requires specs that can hang, and the Red Magic 6 Pro brings all of that and then some.
If you want to save a little money, you can drop down the Red Magic 6, which features 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You still get a Snapdragon 888 and all the other benefits, but the RAM and internal storage are slightly lower. Though if you're concerned about optimal performance, you're probably better off spending the extra money.
We went with the Pro version for our testing, as we wanted to make sure we're running the best version of the phone through its paces.
Screen and Size
The screen is a solid 6.8-inches with a 2400 X 1080 resolution. Obviously, it would be nice to get a 4K display, but at this price, FHD+ with a 20:10 aspect ratio is solid enough.
What makes this screen stand out isn't the size or resolution, though. It's the ridiculous adaptative refresh rate. You can set the screen to refresh as fast as 165Hz, which is absurd. Of course, very few apps and games support such high refresh rates, but you do notice the smoothness when scrolling through the OS.
It's a really lovely screen overall, especially when you consider the price. Videos, games (which we'll dig into more heavily in the next section), and just about everything else looks really good on the display.
Gameplay Performance
This is a gaming phone, so gaming performance is essential. In fact, it's the most critical aspect to look at when deciding if this device is suitable for you.
Before we get into the actual gameplay experience, let's first talk about the device's performance from a benchmark standpoint. Whether you're testing the processor or graphics card, this phone truly impresses on all of the popular tests.
For example, when you run it through GeekBench, you get an absurd single-core score of 1125 and a multicore score of 3719. To put that into perspective, the OnePlus 9 Pro scored 1081 on the single-core score, while the ASUS ROG Phone 3 achieves 951. Basically, it scores highly across the board.
Moving over the 3DMark's Wild Life test, the phone excelled there as well. It scored a 5,904, which makes it the 12th most powerful phone in terms of performance. However, only two of the phones that scored higher are Android devices, so realistically, it's the third most powerful phone in its class.
Personally, I don't enjoy mobile gaming all that much. I like the feel of actual buttons when I'm playing games, and as much as smartphone game developers get creative with their controls, they just can't replicate the feeling of actual buttons.
However, the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro does a great job of making the mobile gaming experience as enjoyable as possible. It offers several key features that make this possible.
First, there are customizable touch-trigger buttons on the top of the phone. These replicate the triggers of a controller, though without the tactile feel offered by actual buttons. Still, the high sampling rate makes them accurate and functional.
There's also the absurd 500Hz touch sampling rate, which means that your every action is read by the phone quickly. In some cases, this can lead to real competitive advantages over your opponents in games like Call of Duty or PUBG. It's almost cheating.
And even if you're not playing competitive games, having a high sampling rate means that you can rely on the phone to react according to your presses. For example, a game like Dead Cells that requires twitch reactions and precision platforming will play better with the high touch sampling rate.
There's also a dedicated gaming mode in the OS that you can access via a physical switch on the side of the phone. Simply flick it to get rid of all the annoying notifications and other phone stuff. Instead, you'll see a simple screen with all of your installed games and several options you can use to customize your gaming experience.
In the gaming mode, not only do you have a quick way to launch your games without distractions, but you can control some of the other functions of the phone. For example, you can set up the location for the shoulder triggers, change the RGB lights on the back of the device, and adjust the fans.
All in all, this is the best experience I've ever had playing games on a smartphone. Will it convert me into a dedicated smartphone gamer? Probably not. But it will make the times I decide I want to play mobile games a more fun experience, and that's all you can really ask.
Cooling
Keeping itself cool is where this phone really shines. There are seven different cooling methods and heat transfers tucked inside the device, and they all do an excellent job of keeping things cool. You'll find fans, a vapor chamber, high thermal conductivity copper foil, thermal gel, a cooling graphite thermal pad, and an aviation-grade aluminum heat sink.
Unlike traditional smartphones, there are actual vents along the side of the phones that allow the air to leave the device and keep things flowing nicely. You can actually hear the fans spin up when you start playing games, so you know they're working.
Fortunately, they're relatively small, so they don't make too much noise. If you're playing a game with the sound on, it'll block out the fan noise easily.
If that's not enough for you (it was plenty for me), there are even cooling accessories that you can buy to keep the device running like ice. ZTE Nubia sent us one of the cooling fans that attach to the phone and is powered by the USB-C port and while it's cool, it seems like overkill. The phone stayed plenty cool enough in my testing that I just didn't feel like I needed an additional fan.
On top of that, having a cable running from the extra fan to the phone felt cumbersome. Unless you're really struggling with heat issues (and I don't see how you could with all the other cooling mechanisms) I'd avoid the additional fan, as it just doesn't seem like a worthwhile purchase.
All in all, the Nubia Red Magic 6 knocks it out of the park in terms of cooling. No matter what game I ran, it felt significantly cooler than any other phone I've used before.
Camera System
The camera definitely isn't the focus of this phone, but it's not something Nubia just tossed aside and forgot about either. The phone comes with a triple camera system. It has the primary 64MP camera with an f/1.79 aperture. There's also an 8MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP lens.
On the front, you'll find a basic 8MP camera. It takes decent enough selfies, but they're certainly not going to blow your mind.
One thing that annoyed me about the camera is the watermark it places on your photos by default. Sure, you can go into the options and turn it off, but it really shouldn't be there in the first place. No one cares that my photo was shot with a Red Magic 6. In fact, seeing the watermark is more likely to annoy them than convince them they need to own this phone themselves.
Video is one place where the Red Magic 6 shines. It's not so much that the lenses capture great video in terms of quality (though it is good enough), but it's the ridiculous quality of options and framerates available that make it stand out. You can capture video at up to 8K resolution at 30fps. You can film in 4K at 30 or 60fps, 1080p at 30 or 60fps, and 720P at 30fps.
There's also support for 1080P at 240fps and 720P at 480fps if slow-motion videos are your thing.
The front-facing camera can record video in 1080P or 720P at 30fps, which is definitely sufficient for a selfie camera.
All in all, photos and videos captured with this won't rival flagships like the Galaxy S21 or Apple's iPhone 12 Pro, but they will look good enough that you can share them proudly on social media without feeling like you're left behind. And if anyone questions your photos, just challenge them to a game of Call of Duty Mobile and make them suffer.
Battery
The battery in this phone is definitely one of its unsung heroes. While most of the marketing focuses on the performance of the Nubia Red Magic 6 when it comes to playing games, the large battery deserves just as much love. It comes with a 5050mAh battery, which is more than sufficient for extended gameplay sessions.
Of course, the phone needs a large battery to power that 165Hz display and the fans to keep it cool. Fortunately, the phone easily made it through a full day with battery to spare with normal usage, which included a decent amount of time spent gaming.
As big as the battery is, the fact remains that at some point, you will run out of juice and you will need to charge your phone. Fortunately, the phone comes with 30W quick charging out of the box and supports up to 66W quick charging. However, for the latter, you'll need to purchase a separate charger, as the 66W charger isn't included.
Still, even with the slower charger, you can still get a lot of power in a short time. You can fully charge the phone in a little over an hour, which is excellent for those times when you need to get back out there shooting fools in Call of Duty or PUBG.
As always, you can use the phone while it's charging too. So really, there's no reason to ever have to stop gaming, assuming you can find an outlet nearby.
Final Thoughts
All in all, the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro is a great gaming phone. It's not the best phone on the market compared to the software offered by devices like the Samsung Galaxy S21, but it's pretty close. When you consider the price, anyone looking for a gaming phone should consider this one, as it offers impressive specs for the dollar amount.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888: Release Date, Performance, Features & All We Know
Nowadays, processors used in smartphones are getting powerful day by day with new upgrades, features, performance boost, and all that. Even some mobile processors are comparable to high-end PC processors. The smartphone processor manufacturing company Qualcomm has recently released a new processor for smartphones, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. According to the company, it would be the top tier system on chip processors from Qualcomm. They are also claiming that it would be the best processor smartphones could have in 2021.
In the recent 2020 Snapdragon Summit, the company declared its latest Snapdragon processor. It could be the best processor of 2021 for smartphones. Therefore it would be equipped only on top-tier smartphones. It will feature a few new features, performance upgrades, and improved battery performance.
Currently, we have the Snapdragon 865 chipset as the best processor by Qualcomm for smartphones. This processor is already installed on various top-tier smartphones like the OnePlus 8 Series, Samsung Galaxy S20 Series, etc. It is also featured in some of the other less common phone companies like Sony, LG, and Xiaomi. Considering the Snapdragon 865 processor was utilized in various famous smartphones, Snapdragon 888 would also be featured in the upcoming smartphones of the biggest brands, like Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and others.
In this guide, we are going to explain everything we know about this innovative silicon. So what’s the wait? Let’s get started.
What is Snapdragon 888?
It is the latest top-tier processor installed in the next-gen series of smartphones in 2021 by Qualcomm. The first smartphone with this processor would likely be released in the first quarter of 2021. That’s all that can be said about this processor for now as a definition of it.
The Launch Date of Snapdragon 888
Since it is a smartphone processor, you cannot buy it independently without any smartphone. All you can do is buy a smartphone that is powered by this processor. So the correct question is, What is the launch date of the smartphone that will feature this processor for the first time? According to the company, the first smartphone with this processor should be launched in Q1 2020. Qualcomm said that some mobile manufacturers would manufacture and launch new smartphones using this new chip in the first quarter of 2020.
The company claims that some smartphone companies like BlackShark, Lenovo, LG, Meizu, Motorola, Asus, Realme, Vivo, Xiaomi, Sony, Oppo, Oneplus, Nubia, and others will all utilize Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset in their upcoming handsets.
Qualcomm said that it wouldn’t make its smartphones with Snapdragon 888 chipset as it has decided not to make any smartphones in the future. This means the company wants to focus purely on its processes.
Snapdragon 888 Features and Capabilities
This new processor will take smartphone features to the next level as it will increase performance significantly. The primary thing it will do will be the changes in the camera of the smartphones. Smartphones with this processor would capture up to 120 photos within 1 second along with 12-megapixel. It will also be able to allow smartphones to operate video cameras and photo cameras at the same time while using the triple ISP camera technology.
Phones equipped with this processor would be able to record 4K HDR videos along with up to 120 frames per second, which is quite impressive.
Coming to the gaming abilities, your smartphone with Snapdragon 888 can enable you to play video games in 144 frames per second with 144 Hertz. The gaming experience will be different in the smartphones that would feature this processor. We already know that faster processors can affect computer or smartphone features and their functionalities. We also know that better processors can deliver better internet speed as well as network connectivity. Not only that, but it will also provide you with better Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. The artificial intelligence capabilities will be enhanced too with this processor in the upcoming phones.
It is speculated that this processor might also improve the phone’s battery life since it will utilize less power. The company has produced this processor in such a way that it consumes less power but delivers better performance compared with the current technology.
Talking of its price, as mobile processors are never sold alone and equipped with a smartphone, the cost depends on the handset you will purchase.
Typically, this will be utilized in top-tier smartphones, so smartphones with this processor would be too costly. However, companies like Xiaomi and Realme might launch their smartphones at a comparatively lower price.
That’s all we can say about Snapdragon 888 chipset for now. We expect that this guide was informative and practical for you. We hope you have enjoyed it as well.

Nubia Alpha is a wearable that thinks it's a foldable phone
Wear your phone on your wrist
Nubia has bridged the gap between wearable and smartphone with the Nubia Alpha, a device with all the features and functionality of a phone but which wraps around the wrist like a fitness band. Unveiled by Nubia at their press conference at MWC 2019 the Nubia Alpha is a strange hybrid device – and a rather fascinating one.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
This is what we thought about the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active
These are the best fitness trackers around
Here's the best cheap smartwatch list
Nubia has bridged the gap between wearable and smartphone with the Nubia Alpha, a device with all the features and functionality of a phone but which wraps around the wrist like a fitness tracker. Its 4-inch 960x192 OLED screen follows the strap of the watch around the wrist, covering roughly half the wrist. The Nubia Alpha doesn’t exactly have smartphone specs, with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, and only 500mAh battery power, but with a 4-inch flexible OLED screen, it doesn’t really need it. The device is even kitted out with a 5MP front-facing camera, so it truly does come with all the functions of your phone. Nubia suggests the device will last 1-2 days of regular use, or a week on standby, which we’ll test when we get our hands on it for a review. You can use the Alpha to call and text, and use a variety of apps and the internet, without a connection to a smartphone, which sets it apart from many other fitness trackers which connect via Bluetooth to your smartphone. Instead, it uses eSIM technology, so it won't necessarily replace your phone.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
The Nubia Alpha is running Nubia's own operating system, designed more as a wearable OS than a smartphone one. One interesting feature of this is air controls, which let you scroll through, or backtrack out of, a menu just through hand gestures. If you use wearables for their fitness tracker possibilities you’ll find the Alpha sporting all the necessary functions like heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
It can also store and play music, using the Nubia Pods. These wireless earphones are launching along with the Nubia Alpha, and link with the device. There are two versions of the device launching – Bluetooth and eSIM models, with the latter available in a gold variety. The Bluetooth model will launch for €449 (roughly $510, £390, AU$710) in Europe, North America, and China, sometime in the second quarter of the year. Top Chinese Mobile Phone Brands
In recent years, more and more Chinese mobile phone brands have been gaining traction globally. According to CounterPoint, a well-known industry analysis company, China’s leading mobile phone brands took a large share of the global phone market in 2019. Here are the most popular Chinese smartphone brands that are not only well-retailed domestically, but also widely recognized overseas.
Global smartphone share (Source: CounterPoint)
Huawei is an old player in the smartphone field. Since 2019, Huawei (including its sub-brand Honor) has become the world’s second largest smartphone producer only after Samsung, outpacing Apple. Huawei’s mobile phones are very popular not only in China but also in many outside markets.
The Chinese multinational tech company was founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei with headquarters in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. In light of the recent China-US trade war, Huawei has been making global headlines, and has recently announced its first mobile phone without “official” access to Google Play and Google Services, the Huawei Mate 30 series, as well as a new flagship the Huawei P30 series. P and Mate series are Huawei’s two premium phone lines. This year Huawei also unveiled a bunch of 5G phones and an innovative foldable phone Huawei Mate X.
Honor is a smartphone brand owned by Huawei, established in 2013, mainly to compete with low- and mid-range online smartphone brands in China and globally. Honor phones contributed a lot to making Huawei the world’s second largest smartphone maker. This year the Huawei sub-branch released two popular models the Honor 20S and Honor 9X series.
Xiaomi is one of the quickest growing tech companies in the world, offering smartphones, laptops, and smart devices. Founded in 2010 by Lei Jun, it became the world’s fourth largest smartphone maker within no more than 8 years. In 2018, Xiaomi filed for an IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which became the world’s largest IPO since 2014.
In 2019, Xiaomi unveiled several flagship phones with 5G, such as Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi MIX 3, and a very unique Surround Display MI MIX Alpha. Xiaomi, like Huawei, also has a sub-brand, Redmi, which was recently spun out to a standalone phone brand, unveiling three new android phones: Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8 and Redmi K20. Besides, Xiaomi’s other sub-brand Pocophone has been a consumer favorite, especially in India, since 2018. The Poco2 is expected to be launched by the end of 2019, though no confirmed news came from Xiaomi yet.
OPPO is a consumer electronics and mobile company based in Guangdong, China that has a strong global presence with smartphones. OPPO is one of the top smartphone brands in China, ranking No. 5 with a 9% global smartphone market share in Q2 2019. OPPO has manufactured a wide range of smartphones from the low-price devices to high-end premium ones. Aggressive marketing, branding and good product quality have made OPPO one of the world’s top mobile brands.
In 2019, OPPO is actively expanding its influence in Europe, with a new model like the OPPO Reno series with 5G, which was debuted in Zürich, and a special OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition created in cooperation with the Spanish football club, Barcelona. Besides, OPPO also held the OPPO Creators Awards 2019, supporting global art lovers with its powerful camera phone OPPO Reno 10X Zoom.
Additionally, Realme, the Chinese phone brand under OPPO that used to only target the overseas market, especially Southeast Asia, announced its return to the homeland along with the first smartphone Realme X. Recently, its new generation Realme X2, a budget camera phone with 64MP quad-camera, was released.
Vivo is another Chinese smartphone brand headquartered in Guangdong that has gained worldwide success since it entered the industry in 2009. Closely following OPPO, the brand took up an 8% global smartphone market share in Q2 2019. Vivo and OPPO have both originated under the wing of the electronics giant -BBK Electronics.
Vivo often cooperates with Chinese top celebrities in its marketing campaigns, for example, Chinese idol singer Cai Xukun for its flagship phone vivo X23, targeting the post-90s and gen-Z consumer groups. Its latest flagship is the vivo NEX 3 5G released on September 16 in Shanghai.
To focus on middle- and high-end market, this February vivo launched its new sub-brand – iQOO. This new phone brand launched its latest flagship iQOO Pro in Beijing on August 22.
OnePlus is a young Chinese smartphone manufacturer founded by Pete Lau and Carl Pei in Shenzhen in 2013. The company boasts a strong line-up of mobile phone with fast SoC and unique design, bringing millions of fans all over the world. During the Q4 2018, OnePlus recorded its highest ever shipments and led in India’s premium smartphone segment.
Last October, OnePlus unveiled its flagship OnePlus 6T in New York and established a successful cooperation with T-Mobile, a US telecommunication services provider, to allow more American consumers to buy the flagship device and spread brand awareness. This October, OnePlus will release their new generation 7T series in Europe, a successor of the OnePlus 7 series announced in the first half of 2019. Aside from smartphones, OnePlus also recently stepped into the TV market with their first flagship smart TV—the OnePlus TV.
Meizu is a Chinese homegrown brand, established by Jack Wong in Zhuhai Guangdong in 2003. It began as a manufacturer of MP3 and MP4 players. Meizu shifted its focus to smartphones in 2018. The company has its own operating system called Flyme, which is largely based on Android. The brand gained great popularity among China’s young generation over the past years, but has been losing its market share as of late.
Meizu’s latest flagship is the 16S Pro, an upgraded smartphone from its predecessor Meizu 16s that shares similar specs. Both feature a 6.2-inch display, 6GB/8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 3,600 mAh battery. Compared with Meizu 16s, the new flagship phone has a more powerful Snapdragon 855+ chipset, higher touch sampling rate and better rear triple-camera.
Lenovo is a Chinese multinational company and the world’s prime laptop manufacturer. Its smartphones once ranked fourth in the world, but today the company only has a 3%market share.
Motorola, a famous phone brand present since the early advent of the phone age, was acquired by Lenovo in 2014, becoming a sub-brand of Lenovo.
ZTE, headquartered in Shenzhen, is one of the global leaders on the smartphone front, also leading the pack in telecommunications and network equipment. ZTE’s high-end mobile phones are selling well in the West.
ZTE has joined the 5G trend with the launch of its first 5G smartphone Axon 10 Pro 5G on February 25 at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona. Its latest mobile release is the Blade A5 2019, launched in May 2019.
Nubia, another popular mobile phone brand, devised by Nubia Technology, is a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation. In 2019, Nubia unveiled new android phones with impressive features like the world’s first wearable phone Nubia Alpha, budget-friendly gaming phone Red Magic 3 and a dual-screen Nubia Z20.
Tecno
Transsion is a mobile phone manufacturer based in Shenzhen, known as the “King of Mobile Phones in Africa”. Since 2017, it has been the largest smartphone manufacturer by sales in Africa, also expanding into South Asia. The company produces phones in China, Ethiopia and India. On September 30, Transsion Holdings filed for a nearly $4 billion IPO on Shanghai’s STAR Market.
Transsion has three main brands targeting different groups: Tecno, Itel, and Infinix. Tecno Mobile is a dominant and premium mobile phone brand, with a variety of categories ranging from feature phones to smartphones. Its Camon series smartphones have become a hit in Africa, in part because they are able to precisely detect dark-skinned faces even in poor lighting conditions.

Nubia Z17 specs, price and Hands-on review
Nubia Z17 specs, price and Hands-on review
Nubia Official has launched its new flagship -- Nubia Z17 Android phone on June 1. This Z17 smartphone adopts the bezel less design, metal accounted for up to 98%, and it is the first to use the top antenna design.
As for the Nubia Z17 specs, it is equipped with Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, you no need to worry about the performance of this smartphone. It has 6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB ROM. This new smartphone continues the bezel leess design on the screen. It uses a 5.5 inch 1080P screen. And the camera is still the main selling point of Nubia phones. This smartphone is featured with dual rear cameras,12.0MP main back camera, with IMX362 sensor, supports full pixel dual focus, f/1.8 aperture; 23.0MP IMX318 vice rear camera,f/2.0 aperture; 16.0MP front camera, f/2.0 aperture, the overall camera configuration is very luxurious.
Nubia Z17 smartphone is carried with Nubia UI 5.0 which is based on the latest Android 7.1 OS.3200mAh capacity battery, support the latest Qualcoom QC 4.0 + standard fast charge. But the original charger and the transmission line are not supported, you need to buy on your own. On Network, it supports dual sim cards dual standby. This new Nubie mobile phone has five colors for choosing, respectively, dark blue, gold, pure black, black & gold and red colors.
Overall, this Nubian Z17 hardware configuration is one of the best among the entire Android phones.

MWC 2017: What to expect?
Christmas comes early this year, boys and girls, as does every year for smartphone fanatics, enduring tablet devotees and newfound wearable and VR enthusiasts. The 2017 Mobile World Congress technically kicks off Monday, February 27, but as you’ve probably come to expect, most of the actual exciting product announcements will take place in the days leading up to the show’s formal commencement.
Let’s not waste time with further introduction therefore, and get down to business. We already know a lot about what many important companies plan to unveil in Barcelona, although obviously, you still have plenty of blanks waiting to be filled in.
LG
Typically, we’d start our roundup of the highest-profile MWC exhibitors with this OEM’s domestic arch-rival, but for obvious reasons, Samsung isn’t shaping up as the number one showstopper this time around.
Instead, the LG G6 could (should?) steal the spotlight on Sunday (and beyond), full-metal body, improved resistance under pressure, extra reliability, Google Assistant integration, larger, sharper, slimmer-bezeled screen and all.
The question is will features like even better Quad DAC skills and water protection offset a non-removable battery, rapidly aging processor and “modest” 4GB RAM count? It may depend on how fast it reaches stores, and whether or not Samsung can salvage its tarnished reputation.
Samsung
Speaking of the smartphone king, its tablet commitment is still surprisingly strong, despite the recent free fall of Android-powered behemoths. Of course, we’re expecting at least one Windows-running new Galaxy device to break cover alongside the Google-endorsed Tab S3, and perhaps even a refreshed low-cost virtual reality headset.
Ironically, the chaebol’s most thrilling MWC 2017 announcements are unusual behind-the-scenes types, possibly demonstrating an advanced foldable prototype to a lucky few, and publicly debuting a highly anticipated Galaxy S8 video teaser. We should also hear more on the “next big thing’s” availability and pricing, and see the Exynos 9-series (9810?) flagship SoC fully detailed.
Nokia
Who here remembers the old Finnish outfit’s last MWC smartphone debut? We certainly do, as much as we’ve tried to forget, but it’s monumental flops like the X family that will make you appreciate what exclusive licensee HMD Global has cooking for the time being.
Unfortunately, the first Nokia-branded hero phone in three years must wait a little while longer, with the upper mid-range 6 tipped for an international expansion on Sunday, February 26, when lower-end 3 and 5 smart handsets are also strongly rumored for official introductions. And let’s not forget that modern reimagining of the “dumb” 3310 classic.
BlackBerry
Talk about a blast from the past. A past that seems so distant now, though many would like to experiment again. While it’s not the same thing, both the vintage Nokia and BlackBerry names will be revived soon enough by partners, manufacturers, distributors and promoters HMD and TCL.
The latter, China-based, affluent and skilled in raising other companies’ profiles, will finally and fully take the wraps off the so-called “Mercury” on Saturday, hopefully combining an already compelling design with respectable specs, reasonable pricing, aggressive distribution and imminent release date.
Huawei
Technically, the P10 and P10 Plus look very interesting on paper. But there’s not a lot of buzz around them. And now the Honor V9 is out, reminding folks on the Western hemisphere how cheap this company’s domestic fans can buy its Chinese flagships.
Maybe that second-gen Huawei Watch with Android Wear 2.0 can step up to the plate, and make a few headlines on arguably this year’s most crowded day in terms of mobile-related product announcements. Oh, and a MateBook 2 is probably also coming, full Windows 10 PC support, up to a 15.6-inch touchscreen, detachable keyboard and all.
Motorola
You have got to be kidding us! Another noteworthy February 26 launch?! Lenovo must be crazy if it thinks for a second its Moto G5 and G5 Plus can outshine LG, Nokia and Samsung’s unveilings, especially after all the recent information spills, high-quality renders included.
Yes, it’ll be interesting to see a pair of smaller new Gs with a more premium, Moto Z-inspired build, but not that interesting.
Sony
No Xperia XZ 2? Not even a renewed X or X Performance? Good thing Sony was smart enough to schedule its MWC conference for Monday, February 27, though its purported second-gen Xperia XA and XA Ultra still need serious bang for buck or other compelling selling points to make us forget about the previous-day LG G6 or Galaxy TabPro S2.
Alcatel
Five mystery phones, including a stab at the modular concept, and knowing this other TCL subordinate, some movement on the VR front as well. Once again, wise February 27 release timing.
OPPO
The latest addition to an already lengthy exhibitor list, this Chinese rising star aims to further substantiate its upswing, taking advantage of Xiaomi’s reorganization with a “5x” innovation. A new “selfie expert”? An all-around photography champion? We don’t know for sure, but we’re definitely intrigued.
ZTE
They say only the Nubia sub-brand will hold a press conference in Barcelona to unveil… something new and presumably affordable, with that Gigabit Phone heading directly for the show floor, where our team of correspondents, reporters, hands-on specialists and video content producers will be sure to take the prototype for a spin. Any Axon news? Maybe a ZTE Quartz with Android Wear 2.0 confirmation? Both are doubtful, but who knows?
Other stuff to possibly look forward to
While we’re on the “who knows” subject, we can’t help but feel it’s all too quiet on the mobile-based VR hardware front. Granted, everyone’s working on the industry’s next big thing, i.e. standalone headsets, but in the meantime, something tells us we’ll be seeing an additional few launches in the Gear VR or Daydream View vein.
We’re also anticipating an Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch onslaught, though Tag Heuer, Casio, Swarovski & co. might need some refinement time before joining the LG-organized party. And then there are possible phones and tablets from Archos, Kodak, Lenovo or Acer that are simply not very exciting. Then again, there’s always room for surprises and revelations. Stay tuned to hear (and see) all about them.
