Redacted Pack High School HC's
Highschool David wasn't too involved with school clubs but he did play baseball all four years and was a percussionist in the schools band
Highschool David did however have an after school job at Max's Rustic Pizza (Asher 100% took advantage of the friend's and family discount )
Highschool David was definitely a more of a math guy and was in honors classes for everything in Math and Science.
Highschool David was also the first of the pack to get his licence so Gabe made sure to help get him a car with enough seats so David could do a carpool with the other pack kids
Highschool David always made sure to pack a extra snack because he noticed a particular pack member only got the bare minimum during lunch
Highschool Asher carried all of his textbooks in his bag and hardly ever used his locker
Highschool Asher originally joined theater as a joke his freshman year but ended up loving it so much that he continued for every play/musical
Highschool Asher passed most of his classes just by the skin of his teeth and often did his homework with David and Milo
Highschool Asher failed his permit test twice before finally getting it. His car was handed down to him by his sister so it had flower decals on the back bumper. He loved that car.
Highschool Asher always got a little too into spirit week themes going as far to buy costumes for some of them
Highschool Milo did both Soccer and Wrestling in high school. The day's he wasn't at practice he was at his afterschool job
Highschool Milo actually got his license before Asher but didn't get a car until after he graduated. His car was a used beater he bought using money he saved up from his job
Highschool Milo would often try to turn down hanging out with his friends because he couldn't afford to spend money on little things like movie tickets but was always dragged out by Asher who already planned on paying for him
Highschool Milo was always worried about his future so he had straight A's and was was in as many honors and AP courses as he could get his hands on
Highschool Milo was in band as an elective and played the Saxophone. He always looked for an excuse to learn jazz songs and loved to surprise his mom with her favorites
Highschool Tank was a year younger than the other three and was actually good friends with a Stealth who they met through being lab partners their freshman year
Highschool Tank didn't do any extracurriculars but liked to hang around and watch their other's sports practices
Highschool Tank often hung around the local skatepark and even taught Asher how to skateboard
Highschool Tank normally kept a low profile but did get suspended one time their sophomore year for punching someone who was making fun of Asher
Highschool Tank who loved getting rides from David as the two of them share a similar taste in music

OMG YOUR THEATER SEBEK AU
Bro could you just imagine Sebek and Rollo face to face with each other and Sebek immediately turning around not wanting to get exposed only for Rollo to be like.
"Ah Sebek Zigvolt, one of Shaftlands most distinguished actor. I am honored to meet you, I have sat in for many of your plays when you were in Fleur city and waited for when you return to the spotlight once again."
Sebek sweating heavily under the many watchful stares and especially Rook's who's eyes are gleaming too much there
Let Rollo and Rook fight on who is the first Sebek fan if Sebek was a childhood theatre kid who is as popular as Neige and Vil in movies.
YESSSSS
Rollo looking over the students of NRC with judging eyes, before noticing a student he doesn't quite recognize with their cat beast familia- HOLY SHIT IS THAT SEBEK ZIGVOLT
He's a HUGE fan, even if he doesn't want to admit it. Constantly makes references to production Sebek has ever been in during the whole fucking tour. "Ah, I do remember that you used this handkerchief during one of your works. It was a retelling of one of Fleur City's famous stories about a woman who saved the Righteous Judge's close friend. Your acting as E-" "IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE THEN LET US NOT SPEAK OF THE PAST!!!!"
His student aide and vice president always make it a point to tease Rollo for his admiration for Sebek's acting, telling Sebek that the only time he's ever missed summer classes ("Summer classes?? That's kind of sad." "Ruggie how about we NOT provoke the guy who's letting us stay over.") was when he found out that Sebek came back to the Shaftlands. He was there in the audience on his first day.
Rook is DEFINITELY not letting this go. "Monsieur Crocodile dabbles in the theatrical arts? Why, how come I've never heard of this before!" "You stalk people, how have you NOT."
Asking Sebek when his next performance will be, if he can get a discount or a free ticket (He literally has the money to buy a whole row of seats what is bro on about), just absolutely MINDBLOWN
If ever Rollo and Rook were to fight over who Sebeks biggest fan was, I think it would be passive aggressive lawl.
"I must say, Mr. Zigvolt, your acting is absolutely spectacular."
"Oui! Hearing such praise makes me want to see Monsier Crocodile onstage for myself! I fear that you may have a contender for number one fan!"
"I am not a number one fan, as you put it, but it's awfully bold for you to assume that you'll instantly reach such a title when you've just heard of Mr. Zigvolt's achievements. Give it- ah, a few years, give or take?"
"Is that a challenge, monsieur?"
"You may take it as such."
Meanwhile Silver's off to the side absolutely confused because????? Sebek acts???

alright more pre-crash yellowjackets thoughts! this time: shitty high school jobs they had! (i worked 5 different shitty minimum wage jobs between the ages of 15-18 and have thought about the concept with more gravity than it deserves sorry)
shauna: was a tutor during the school year for literally every subject. she was the only reason jeff and randy passed their junior year. even though she could use the money, shauna never charged any of her teammates if they needed some help. when school was out during the summers, she had a seasonal job at the concession stand at the local concert venue. pretty easy money and she liked listening to the bands play
jackie: unemployed. being the coolest girl in school is a full time job, after all! note: tried to get a job with shauna at the concession stand. it was a complete and utter disaster. she lasted a week, and only made it that long because of how much shauna covered for her. after that didn’t pan out, when shauna worked weekends, jackie would always buy a concert ticket… just to hang out by the concession stand and talk with shauna for the whole show
nat: her first job was working at the local pizza parlor. was employed there for 6 months until it got shut down because, as it turns out, the whole thing was a money laundering front for the mob (which explains why nat never got fired despite being actually kinda bad at making pizzas). after that, she goes to work the 6pm-midnight shift at the grimiest gas station in wiskayok. except for the occasional stick up, it was a quiet job where no one bothered her and she could buy her own cigarettes. however she was constantly sleep-deprived having to get up for school in the mornings. definitely created energy drink concoctions that would send most people into cardiac arrest. van and the other yellowjackets would always stop by to see her on shifts and nat always gives them free slurpees
van: started working at the movie theater in the mall when she was 14 (the owner needed the help and did not ask enough questions). van is the rare sort of person that is absolutely beloved by both customers and her fellow employees and no one was surprised when she became a manager. she has the best customer service and will help out all the other employees with whatever they need. to this day she still holds the record for most Employee of the Month awards. also i just know van was the ultimate hookup and snuck her friends into shows and definitely took home the leftover popcorn after her shift. if she knew nat was on shift at the gas station, she’d stop by on her way home and give her some
taissa: never worked during the school year because she took way too many classes and extracurriculars (she was a 3-sport athlete: cross country in the fall, basketball in the winter, soccer in the spring. also did debate team AND student gov). her parents actually tried to talk her out of getting a summer job, but taissa has never relaxed a day in her life. she took a job at a clothing store in the mall and claimed she chose it for the employee discounts. the fact the store was located in the same mall as the movie theater was unrelated to anything whatsoever (tho taissa and van’s break schedules coincidentally always lined up and they’d hang out and go to the arcade where they’d have competitions… loser had to buy the winner food from the food court afterwards).
anyways tai would have been a perfect employee… if she didn’t have the world’s worst customer service (“for the fifth and final time, i am not going to give you a goddamned refund if you don’t have the RECEIPT and if you try putting that ugly ass blouse in my face again i will shove it up your-”) …had to have routine talks with HR throughout her tenure there. her manager gently suggested therapy, once.
lottie: didn’t need the money but definitely got a job out of boredom. decided to lifeguard as a summer job. it was basically getting paid to tan and tell kids to stop running. she had a sixth sense for when it’s about to start storming. her coworkers stopped questioning it after a few months and now when lottie says to get everyone out of the pool, they get everyone out of the pool. from lifeguarding lottie actually learned enough about pool maintenance to do the work and check the chemical balances on the pool at her own house. her father thinks the whole thing is ridiculous, her mother thinks it’s nice she has a hobby
laura lee: didn’t work a paid job but volunteered. she played piano for the local church services and on weekdays she worked evenings at the local food bank. if she sees anyone from school show up, it stays between her and God. she has managed to rope each of the yellowjackets into volunteering with her at least once
mari: worked at a local restaurant. tried to be a waitress, but on her very first day she got three different customer complaints about her attitude and so the owner put her in the kitchen where she became a linecook. she had more healthcode violations in her 1.5 years of working there than every other employee combined. the manager fired her on a weekly basis but she always just showed up to work the next day like nothing happened and the boss always took her back because mari is the best damn linecook he ever had
akilah: she’s a baby and was too young to work an actual job but definitely did babysitting (mostly for family). definitely was the kid-whisperer. had plans to work at library once she turned 16
misty: volunteered at the local retirement home and developed a love-hate relationship with an 85yo named Ethel (and by love-hate i mean: misty loved ethel, ethel hated misty)
#yellowjackets#op#while everyone else discusses in depth about the themes of the show and theories for the upcoming season#i am over here yelling ‘GAS STATION CLERK NATALIE’ into a microphone#i know i shouldve said something cooler like a vinyl shop or something but i couldn’t do it#also i have either worked or had a friend who worked all the jobs i listed#so this is certified authentic#taivan#i feel like there’s just enough to tag that

how do you see so many shows so often? I want to start seeing more shows but I don’t know where to find really cheap tickets
This is my favorite question and the answer is actually not rush or lottery. I never pay full-price for anything unless it's a very rare circumstance (like the Follies concert where I didn't care what I paid so long as I was in that room).
Here's what you need to do:
TDF: $35 yearly membership fee (first year only, after that it's $40) for the best discounts across NYC theatre. Tickets cost between ~$11-$60, depending on the class, and seats are assigned by the box office. I've been able to sit prime orchestra in seats costing hundreds for about $60. It's gotten a little pricier over the years (used to be $54 for a Broadway musical back in 2019, now it's $63, including fees). Membership is closed to specific groups/communities, but nearly everyone is eligible. It pays for itself within a show or two, so it's worth it.
Age-based discounts: the non-profit Broadway companies all have some sort of "30 under X" discount for young theatergoers. Many off-Broadway companies have really great student/under 30 deals too if you just do some searching before you buy.
Second Stage is "30 under 30" and I've found that by buying the season subscription (five shows for $150, so same price as single ticket sales), I get access to much better seating choices. Can be ordered online or at box office (sans fees). The shows are a mix of two Broadway, and two or three off-Broadway, and possibly a small fringe show thrown in depending on the season. Last season it was two Broadway and three off.
MTC is "30 under 35" and consistently has great shows. Can be ordered online or at box office (sans fees). The MTC's theatre (Friedman) has the most comfortable mezzanine seats in all of Broadway. Plush, high back, wide. It's luxury. And the side seating has pretty good sightlines, so there's not a bad seat.
Roundabout has the most generous one at "30 under 40" with their HipTix program, and this also eschews any fees even when ordering online. It's the easiest out of the three, though slightly more restrictive in what seats are offered. Never sit in the rear mezzanine of either the Todd Haimes or Studio 54 theatres. Bad times for very different reasons. Go side orchestra every time.
All three of these programs allow two tickets per show, though some won't allow guests of any age and some will.
Comp Tickets: There are a few paid programs you can join to get access to free (with a $5 per-show ticket fee) tickets. Last year I did TheatremaniaGold for $80, and this year WillCallClub for $15. Neither are really worth it, if you ask me. Most of the shows are the weird little fringe things that aren't selling, and while that may be fun, it doesn't really end up being great if you want to see Broadway unless it's a Big Flop. The Broadway shows I've seen listed include: Bad Cinderella, The Shark is Broken, and Lempicka, to name a few.
I'm also somehow on some comp lists where I get emails every now and then to see shows for free. I cannot tell you how to get on these lists, because I didn't do anything. It just happened. That's how I got to see Kimberly Akimbo so many times for free.
In-Person Box Office: If I have to get a ticket outside of these avenues, I always go to the box office to save on the online fees, which can be anywhere from $9 to $17, and that's money I want for me, not the predatory sites like telecharge and ticketmaster.
NYU ScholasTix: As an NYU alumnus, I get access to the school's discount program, but I've found the tickets aren't that discounted, and the seats are bad. And also you have to go all the way downtown to the NYU box office at Skirball Center to pick them up instead of going to the theatre box office before showtime. I hate it, and it's inaccessible, and the accessibility service is garbage, so I don't do this unless there are no other options (i.e. really popular Broadway play that won't ever be on TDF). Many city schools have similar programs, and you should definitely check because they don't advertise well.
Rush/Lottery: Every now and then, I'll do a digital lottery or rush. I don't do it in person because I just can't with my knees. Also, I have an adult job and can't just stand around the box office at ten in the morning. Shubert Broadway shows use the telecharge rush system. Jujamcyn/Ambassador use Lucky Seat for lottery only. Nederlander shows use Broadway Direct. Then there's the off-Broadway companies and non-profits that use the TodayTix app, and that one's a bitch to win, but hey, it's possible.
Seatplan: If you're like me and see too much Broadway, you can start uploading seat pictures to SeatPlan to earn rewards points. Every 4,400 points, and you get a free $50 telecharge gift card. Depending on how many points you earn per show (between 40-120), you can get a card every 36-50 shows, so that's easily one a year for me.
Other programs I don't use include:
The Theatr app, which is a new thing where people can sell tickets their not using either at cost or discounted, so it's never a situation where resellers profit. Anyone trying to sell fraudulently is immediately removed, and their customer service is pretty quick on the trigger.
TKTS booths at Times Square and at Lincoln Center. Those are day-of tickets usually going for 30-70% off depending on the show. I've gotten tickets through them before, but I don't stand in lines anymore. It's decent for the tourists though.
#broadway#theatre discounts#tkts#tdf#i may be forgetting some things but these are the main avenues#if you're looking for a specific show i am here to help

so, you want to get rich quick?
to get rich quick anon, here’s some hypothetical strategies (I DO NOT ENDORSE WHAT I SAY BELOW). I’ll assume for the sake of this that you aren’t an artist or skinmaker, most of your FR friends are in the same class of “wealth” in dragon capitalism, and you likely have a couple thousand gems in your vault. (Also assuming normal non conquest push non NOTN profiteering hours). You unfortunately need to be rich first to get richer and also have very thick skin when it comes to haggling and various unethical things.
mildly unethical but not illegal: 1) scout out the sales/auctions threads, and underbid for dragons (low digits are a good place to start. see 7 digit dragons. better than g1s for ROI, but buyer’s market is kinda scuffed, this is a patience game) or find liquidating threads and pick up as many high value easy to liquidate things for as low as possible. buy them in bulk and people will be more likely to knock the price down.
2) sell sell sell. anything in your hoard or pair that isn’t being used and is easy to sell, get rid of it. hibden items are a hassle but some of the low tier unlock items can fetch quite the price. do your research and don’t waste time trying to sell every little thing, but have as much different stuff listed on the AH as possible. don’t overlist items, do corner the market on single piece apparel items that are a little fancy (find them on the MP during discount price)
illegal, try at your own risk: with multis: 1) get an earth multi for dom discount, convert your gems to treasure @1:1000, then buy a ton of gene scrolls to sell on the AH. DO RESEARCH FIRST ON WHAT THE BEST MARGINS ARE FOR FLIPPING. this is probably the single easiest way to make money on fr period.
2) use your dailies to gather for specific hibden items, don’t sell all at once because you’ll inflate the market and the price goes down, but trickle in a couple listings at a time.
3) buy multiple spare inventory crates and sell them later.
scams and frauds (please don’t do any of these i would be very sad):
1) get involved in dominance, trickle funds from battles or other organizations into your own coffers, or run events and hold onto a portion of the proceeds. fudge spreadsheets. it helps to be integrated into in flight events.
2) run scam raffles with middle-high ticket items, nothing super expensive, but decently interesting. (nothing over a couple kg for your grand prize as anything higher than that attracts more interest than you’d like.). make it legit, and you can have smaller prizes that you actually hand out, but the big ticket prize is never distributed. (multis will help increase legitimacy, just use common sense.)
3) literally just RMT if you have spare dollars to throw into the void. it helps to have “connections.”
4) reconsider your decisions. this is a game, and what you have will never be enough if you compare it to others.
FR is not a job, it is not an obligation, and “getting rich quick” will always come at the expense of others. you’re just as likely to be banned or found obnoxious for this kind of stuff.
tldr: crime pays but at what cost lol

hello!!
not sure if u answer asks on here but i was wondering what ur opinion was on the sheridan animation program? i just got accepted but since it’s twice as expensive as any of the schools near me (france), i wanted to know what you thought of the faculty, quality of the program, etc? it would be especially interesting to hear from you since my reasoning for going to the program is basically the same as the one you detailed in your q&a video (it will be easier to break into the american animation industry from the other side of the pond) & i wanted to know if after a couple years that sentiment still rang true or if the reality is more nuanced than that. Thanks in advance for your help!! :DD
Thanks for reaching out!
I absolutely get the money concern. I'd say aspects of the program have improved since my #sheridansucks rants on twitter (some new part time profs actually know what they're doing, and the competent profs are generally pushing for change, as is the animation student council), but Sheridan's admin team and many of the full time professors haven't changed. Of these full time profs, 80% have never been in industry and the rest haven't been employed in animation in 20+ years; the info they have on industry is outdated or just plain wrong, and while impressionable first years may buy into it, after doing our internships over the summer and coming back for 4th year, their "the industry is just as hard as doing 5+ assignments a week, you SHOULD be pulling all nighters, we're preparing you for industry" bullshit doesn't fly. The program is horribly designed (the amount of credits is that of a 5-year program, crammed into 4 years), they're riding on grads' reputation alone at this point (taking in talented students and claiming credit for how good they are when most of us learn independently and are this good due to external courses we take, or simply practice), and I'd go so far as to call a few of the classes we take - completely useless. Many of my friends, who are domestic students, have dropped out and are now thriving in industry, because a degree really doesn't matter in this line of work.
That said, I've heard similar things about every North American art school under the sun. Also, Sheridan was, and continues to be, the best option for me as an international. Getting a degree here means I'm almost 100% guaranteed a Canadian work permit (a PGWP), plus between some of the practical knowledge I got taught (specifically by one of the part time rigging professors), and my peers' help/connections, I have already had two industry jobs before graduating. I'd always advise school over no school if you can afford it, for connections' sake - my wonderful peers aside, Sheridan has given us many discounts on tickets to networking events/festivals like OIAF and TAAFI, which have helped me land my current job, for example, and many local studios will come in for networking/recruiting talks. There is also an internship component, which the school helps you get, so by the time you've graduated you already have industry experience and studio contacts in some capacity.
It really depends on what opportunities you already have available to you in Canada. If you're an international, I would say it's helpful, and even though that help has come primarily from my peers and part time profs, that's still better than nothing for me, plus - ✨work permit✨
#not art#sheridan animation#ohGOD these asks are so hard every time because AUGH the school absolutely sucks and it's only a matter of time til people become aware#but for internationals it's also our best option a lot of the time#animation student#sheridan college#apollo answers

since a bunch of people are now leaving notes the article is paywalled, here's the whole text. (check your browser plugins, you should be able to evade get around that easily)
Under Amtrak’s new fare structure, introduced Wednesday [October 25th 2023], you can now travel from Philadelphia to New York City for as low as $19. While Amtrak used to offer three different kinds of ticket options for a seat — the Saver, Value, and Flexible— it will offer two going forward. The new fare model includes: the Flex option which is fully refundable and gives travelers the flexibility to change their travel without fees, and a Value option that offers less flexibility, but is cheaper and travelers can get a 75% refund if canceled. “This streamlined fare structure with more affordable and flexible fares is part of Amtrak’s continued commitment to upgrading the customer experience at every step along their journey,” said Roger Harris, Amtrak president, in a statement. The changes apply to both coach tickets and Acela business class. Acela first-class tickets and non-Acela business-class tickets will not be affected by the new model as they were already fully refundable and flexible. The change comes in light of customer research Amtrak has been conducting. It was confusing for customers to have two distinct discount options — Value and Saver — with slightly different cancellation and change conditions, said W. Kyle Anderson, a representative for Amtrak. The difference in price between a low-cost ticket and a flexible ticket was also a lot larger, customers said, so fewer purchased that option. With the new structure, customers traveling from Philadelphia to New York can buy tickets starting at $19 if they choose the low-cost Value option or $21 if they want more flexibility. Previously a flexible ticket for the same trip would cost at least $128. A ticket to Boston from Philadelphia in coach could cost customers as low as $35 with the new flexible option, whereas it used to cost $223. The new model ensures that all canceled tickets are refunded to the original form of payment. In the past, an eVoucher was issued for the low-cost Saver tickets. Tickets purchased prior to the new structure being implemented will still abide by previous conditions.
also I went to snag additional info off Amtrak's press release which had some other recent changes in it:
Introducing ultra-low “Night Owl” fares, which are as low as $5 – $20 on select Northeast Corridor (NEC) routes;
Enabling Amtrak Guest Rewards members to redeem tickets with points on more fare types;
Updating the children’s discount so that all children (2-12 years old) can travel for 50% off with an accompanying adult (previously limited to 1 child discount per adult fare)[4];
Expanding passenger discounts – such as senior and military – to apply to all fares, including sales; and
Improving Share Fares, which allow groups of 3-8 people traveling together to receive discounts ranging from 17% to 60%.
The Night Owl Fares chart (travel between 7PM and 7AM)
Philadelphia to Baltimore/BWI $5
New York, NY to Newark/Newark Liberty $5
Boston to Providence $5
New York, NY to Philadelphia $10
Philadelphia to Washington, DC $10
Washington, DC to Wilmington $10
New Haven to Boston $15
New York, NY to Baltimore/BWI $15
Boston to New York $20
New York, NY to Washington, DC $20
(and yes, the discounts for specific travels apply to Night Owl as well. so if you are STUDENT age 17-24, you can take 15% off on top of that)
BE FLEXIBLE on your travel times for best pricing! You may be able to combine two discounted short runs into a longer run if you have a stopover somewhere... which is generally about an hour.
also they have wifi, power outlets, you can carry any beverage you want on and can carry on three bags. and no being groped by TSA!
With the new structure, customers traveling from Philadelphia to New York can buy tickets starting at $19 if they choose the low-cost Value option or $21 if they want more flexibility. Previously a flexible ticket for the same trip would cost at least $128.A ticket to Boston from Philadelphia in coach could cost customers as low as $35 with thenew flexible option, whereas it used to cost $223.

The Hidden Playbook of EURAUD: Trend Following Algorithms That Dominate The Hidden Playbook of EURAUD: Trend Following Algorithms That Dominate They say trading is like riding a rollercoaster—you’re not entirely sure where you’re headed, but you hope you get off with everything intact. For those of you who know the magic of the EURAUD, you also know it’s not just about hanging on tight. It’s about calculating when to lift your hands up, and when to grab the bar for dear life—a calculated ride through trends and hidden algorithms. Let’s unearth how trend-following algorithms turn this rollercoaster into a first-class luxury journey. Spoiler alert: No motion sickness included. How to Recognize the EURAUD Trend Magic Let’s address the obvious question: How do we take advantage of EURAUD’s dynamic moves without getting burned like that time you thought buying crypto during a Super Bowl ad was a good idea? The answer lies in trend following algorithms. These nifty pieces of technology are like the wise old owls of trading—spotting trends long before you even realize the market’s winking at you. So, what’s the deal with EURAUD? This pair has a love affair with trending patterns, and trend-following algorithms are essentially cupid—helping us make a love match between market volatility and profitable gains. Let’s look at the hidden tricks of the trade that can help you get there. The Lesser-Known Tactic: Channel Surfing (But Make It Trading) Have you ever surfed through TV channels trying to avoid reruns? Imagine doing that, but instead, you’re catching trends. Trend following algorithms are like that reliable remote control that helps you skip the mundane and go straight to the thrilling parts. Specifically, with EURAUD, we can use Donchian Channels to confirm trending behaviors. Donchian Channels aren’t a household name like your Bollinger Bands, but they are trend traders’ secret sauce. Here’s the idea: - When the price action breaks above the upper Donchian Channel, that’s your algorithm sending you a virtual high-five. - When the price breaks below the lower channel, it might just be your cue to duck and cover—or place a short order if you’re feeling adventurous. Now, don’t just take my word for it; Bruce Kovner, legendary trader and founder of Caxton Associates, relied on such methods to build his success. He believed in sticking to the trend until the trend proved otherwise, and trend-following indicators like Donchian Channels were key to that. Not Your Average RSI: Trading with a Ninja Twist I know what you’re thinking: another RSI reference? Stay with me—this one’s a bit of a ninja. When following the EURAUD, many traders mistakenly use RSI as a reversal indicator. But here’s the secret: instead of focusing on overbought or oversold conditions, apply RSI as a momentum confirmation tool within the existing trend. Picture this: you’re in the middle of a strong uptrend. Most traders wait until RSI hits 70 to get out. But trend-following algorithms use it to say, “Hey, the trend’s just getting started!” Think of it like buying a discounted plane ticket—it looks expensive now, but in a week’s time, it could be the deal of the decade. This strategy is backed by the likes of Michael Covel, a trend-following advocate, who insists that many traders misunderstand momentum. He points out that the trend is often your friend, until the very, very end—and RSI, when used right, can be the compass guiding you there. Turning EURAUD Volatility into Your Best Buddy There’s no hiding that EURAUD is about as predictable as a cat on catnip. It’s erratic, it’s unpredictable, but if you understand how trend-following algorithms work, you’ll discover its hidden patterns. One way to tackle this is by using Volatility Breakout Systems. Imagine if someone could tell you that the market’s about to break out—you’d probably cancel all your other plans, right? Well, volatility breakout algorithms do just that. They monitor ATR (Average True Range) to determine when the market is heating up, so you can pounce on the opportunity. Take this scenario: when EURAUD’s ATR shows a significant uptick, trend-following algorithms can signal a potential breakout opportunity. It’s like when you’re driving and see the green light—only this time, you’re hoping all those behind you are still stuck on red. The EURAUD Carry Trade: The Secret Spice You Didn’t Know You Needed Here’s where things get interesting. Most traders think carry trades are reserved for boring, low-volatility pairs. But with the right algorithm, EURAUD can actually be a decent carry trade candidate. Let’s break it down: - Trend-following algorithms can detect the ideal times to enter a carry trade position on EURAUD, helping you ride the interest rate differential while also making pips on market movement. - The secret? Waiting for that sweet spot where both trend and interest align, much like finding the ideal balance between a Netflix binge and a productive workday. Think about it—when was the last time you saw an opportunity to earn both pips and interest while sleeping? With EURAUD, when timed correctly, it’s possible. Algorithm-Driven Risk Management: Protecting Your Hard-Earned Pips Every good trader knows that risk management is the Holy Grail of long-term survival. Trend-following algorithms are great, but without setting the right stop losses or managing position sizes, you’re just another person at the casino. One lesser-known trick is Trailing ATR Stops. Using ATR-based trailing stops, your algorithm adjusts the stop loss level dynamically, based on recent volatility. Think of it like having an insurance plan that upgrades itself whenever market risks change. It’s about staying agile and letting the market’s noise keep you safe from nasty drawdowns. According to Larry Hite, a founding member of the Market Wizards, risk is something to embrace if it’s managed properly. That’s where algorithms can provide a game-changing advantage—taking human emotions out of the equation and letting cold, calculated math do the talking. Three Things Most Traders Get Wrong About EURAUD Trends - Chasing Reversals Too Early: EURAUD is notorious for faking out reversals. Trend following algorithms help you avoid the “fake exit” by sticking with the trade until a confirmed reversal is detected. - Using Trend Lines Without Backup: Humans draw trend lines, and we’re often guilty of wishful thinking. Algorithms, on the other hand, use hard data to determine trend validity—no emotional attachments here! - Not Accounting for Swings Within Trends: With EURAUD, there are plenty of price swings. The mistake is treating these as trend changes instead of natural retracements. Trend-following algorithms help identify the difference, so you don’t close out winning positions prematurely. The EURAUD Edge The EURAUD market is a beautiful mess—a cacophony of market noise, economic events, and trend magic. By employing trend-following algorithms, you can harness this volatility rather than fear it. Remember, it’s not about predicting where EURAUD will go tomorrow—it’s about riding the trend that’s right in front of you, holding on until it’s finally time to let go. If you’re looking to master EURAUD and take your trading to the next level, be sure to explore the exclusive resources at StarseedFX. From real-time news updates to in-depth educational courses and smart trading tools, we’ve got the insights and strategies that can help you dominate your trading game. So, ready to make EURAUD your next favorite rollercoaster ride—minus the nausea? Let’s make those trend-following algorithms work for you. —————– Image Credits: Cover image at the top is AI-generated Read the full article

september 2024 bookkeeping - the first half
i've moved abroad! i'll be here for a few months and my finances are in absolute shambles so i've decided to make this a bi-weekly occasion. or maybe even weekly, we'll see.
what i spent
in total i've spent: 292.34€. for two weeks not that bad, about 150€ a week is an ok budget i think now that i live alone and am trying to organize my life. i would still like to bring it down to 100€ so let's see where i can improve.
food: 61.38€ (eating out) + 45.62€
here eating out is relatively cheap (it comes to about 5€ per meal) and groceries are expensive, as you can see.
i ate out 11 times in two weeks (+ 3 cafes). mostly because we were out and about visiting places and had to eat there but there were a couple of times that i could have avoided, like going to cafes/bubble tea. it happened 3 times, so for maybe a total of 10€ but i've discovered that i don't even like bubble tea here so i should just not go there anymore.
i've spent a lot on groceries in one go but it should last me a long enough time (lots of prepackaged meals).
object purchases: 171.53€
all of this stuff was unavoidable (even if it doesn't feel like it seeing it totaled up). there were 2 souvenirs, which i could have avoided but like... i'm here. i will get a couple of souvenirs i also refrained from buying a third one, so i'm at least proud of that.
in any case, these are all one time purchases and i won't need to worry about getting these objects for a long time.
i could have gotten some of this stuff tax free but i had forgotten my passport. so next time i should remember to bring my passport.
actually, one thing i do regret is that i tried to take my id photo at a photoboot because it was less expensive, but they rejected it and i'll have to go to a professional studio next week anyway. yikes.
experiences: 45.92€
i paid for a traditional craft class, a ticket to a monument and a one day tour that will happen in october. so far, no regrets.
what i earned
my last salary for a while. it was a bit higher than expected so i'm happy about that :)
what i decluttered
not much to declutter in a new house. but i have been taking a lot of pictures so i'm at 9.835, +255. i need to take the time to sort through them and delete delete delete.
next week plans:
i have booked the professional photo id, which will come to about 20€ (ugh). i'm also going to a baseball game but i'm still not sure how much that will cost. and we have planned a one day trip for tomorrow. and i'm going out in one hour and will probably have lunch and dinner out (but it should be street food so less expensive so maybe 8€?).
i will also need to charge my transportation card, which is going to be a monthly expense (42€ but i will get a discount later on).
what i want to do is 1. not get any bubble tea but rather get some water if i'm feeling too warm. 2, pick the least expensive option at the cafeteria i need to go to when i'm on campus. 3, not go out just for the sake of going out even if we are visiting places i've already been to. i should stay at home and eat my groceries.
hopefully i'll be able to stay in the 100€ per week budget!
oh wait, i wanted to start working out again so probably not :( but i love my sport so it will be worth it!

Ayup. And the reason for this is the same reason that your local library’s ebook collection may seem a bit disappointing or frustrating. It all comes down to an aspect of US copyright law called First Sale Doctrine.
When you buy a physical copy of an information object--a printed book, a VHS tape, a vinyl record--your purchase includes the right to sell, lend, rent out, or otherwise share that particular copy. You emphatically do not have the right to produce and share additional copies, and in the case of recordings, there are limitations on your right to play that recording for an audience*, but that individual copy can pass through any number of hands without further need to consult--or pay--the copyright owner. Just like how if you buy a car, or a table, or a screwdriver, you can sell, lend, or rent it to another person without involving the manufacturer, or the store you bought it from, in any way.
(*A few friends in your living room, generally OK, selling tickets to show it in an auditorium, definitely not OK, and for most of the territory in between, you’d be best off asking a copyright lawyer.)
When this was first established, in 1854, publishers were furious. It meant that lending libraries--which exploded in popularity in the 1800′s, and frequently became accessible to working-class and even poor people--could buy one copy of a book, and different people could keep reading it until it physically fell apart. Newspaper and magazines, too!
Over the next century or so, print publishers got used to it. When phonograph records came along, and people started lending and reselling them, the owners of those rights were also furious--and also got used to it (although IRRC, they were the ones who got some of the restrictions on display/public performance added). When magnetic audio tape came along, and the average person could easily buy and use the equipment necessary to make copies of sound recordings, the owners of those rights were furious--and got the “no duplicating” part of the doctrine emphasized--but got used to it.
Then video tape came along, and--yep, you guessed it. The “duplicating” and “displaying” sections got beefed up further, but the reselling, lending, and renting provisions of First Sale remained intact, and the movie studios got used to it. Same with optical disks, and various forms of video game cartridges.
Digital information technology, on the other hand, broke the cycle. While it made piracy much easier and more widespread, it also provided an opportunity to do what content owners had wanted to do with every previous information technology upgrade, and put a meter on legitimate sharing.
A library can buy a physical copy of a book anywhere, and for the same price, that an individual person would buy it. There are specialized outlets that work with libraries, and offer various perks and extra services to appeal to that market, but at my previous job, we bought 95% of our print books from Amazon. We did our processing in-house, and our annual book-buying budget wasn’t enough to get us into a discount tier that would net us better prices than Amazon offers to the general public, so we just went with that.
It’s free the regular retail price and the cops copyright lawyers employed by the publisher can’t stop you. They have tried.
And Blockbuster, and the original, DVD-based version of Netflix, operated under pretty much the same principle. (Netflix did end up doing some sort of deal with the major studios where they paid a bit extra for special Netflix-only copies of their movies, and in return the studios refrained from taking another whack at abolishing First Sale doctrine, but Netflix had the upper hand in that negotiation.) The movie studios never liked it much, but they were backed into a corner on it.
But when you pay for a digital copy of a book, movie, song, or whatever, you’re actually licensing it, not buying it, and therefore First Sale Doctrine never kicks in. Some platforms allow a certain amount of peer-to-peer sharing as a way of disincentivizing piracy--like how you can lend Kindle books to 1 other person at a time--but if you want to do it on a large scale, like a library does, or like video rental places used to do with tapes and DVDs, you have to acquire a license that lets you do that. And the owner of the content can charge as much as they want for that--or choose not to issue that type of license at all, or issue such a license exclusively to one party; whatever they decide is to their best advantage.
And that’s why streaming platforms are rapidly turning into silos, and why the big entertainment conglomerates would just as soon get out of the business of encoding their wares into physical products that you can buy.
i will never be against piracy ever but i also need physical media to remain

6 Things Do While Booking Tickets for Flights to Bangkok From London
If your next international vacation destination is Bangkok then, scan some of the quickest hacks to grab exciting deals on the flights to Bangkok from London for any class you wish to fly. Bangkok, similar to Bali, Singapore, Miami or Dubai is an incredibly popular tourist destination driving thousands of international vacationers down the line. Soon after the pandemic, the urge for international vacationing increased more than before despite the usual business trips and so on.
Your priority will be to beat the rush by pre-booking the first-class, business-class or economy flight tickets round-ways or one-way at quite a cheap rate.
Here are the six things to do while booking tickets for flights to Bangkok from London—
Start with Online Flight Search
Whether you plan for a Caribbean beach vacation or enjoy your long-haul holiday at the sprawling beaches of Miami- start checking out the available flights to Miami from London in the same way you will search for the airline companies offering flights to Bangkok on the expected dates.
Presently, the top search engines provide flight-searching options. Categorized as one of the simplest international flight searching tools, these online platforms offer the most accurate and cheap flight to Bangkok to flights to Australia from London or any other destination that you search for.
Pre-book international flights online
Among countless features, you can also book international flight tickets 11 months before the journey date and grab your favourite seats. Get additional discounts on round-way flights. Usually, tourists prefer pre-booking round-way flights because they have to get back by the mentioned times in most scenarios. However, if the flight gets cancelled- the passengers are compensated as per the company rules.
Go through popular aggregator web platforms
Most passengers prefer booking their flight tickets online and they mostly prefer OTAs or a popular aggregator web platform to buy their tickets for international flights to Bali from UK, Bangkok, European countries, the USA, South Africa or any destination across the globe.
Witness multiple feasibilities of booking flight tickets from a reputed aggregator web platform whether it’s a website or app. From comparing the available flights to the number of overlays, explore all the necessary details about each available flight before you decide which one you should go for.
Know about the lucky cheap flying days
Online international flight booking people are well aware of Happy Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays when they can book international flight tickets at quite a discounted rate.
According to cynics, it’s a myth, you can try your fate by searching for the flights on these available days before booking tickets as some jaw-dropping offers are available on these days and the fortunate shoppers grab these deals.
To get instant intimation on the flight deals, sign up for the newsletters. The email intimation will help you notice the offers the concerned flight companies or the aggregator sites are offering then and there!
Target the shoulder season for attractive international flight deals
Considering the weather the region experiences, you can book your tickets to receive massive discounts and jaw-dropping deals on international flights during the shoulder seasons. However, if you intend to fly to Australia, New Zealand or anywhere in Oceania the spring will be from mid-October to March while the countries in the Northern Hemisphere experience winter. So, do take a quick look at that before you book the flight tickets and spend more to buy a packaged tour.
The priority of any vacationer is to experience balanced weather whether they travel or decide on their trip accordingly. You cannot plan a vacation to Dubai in May to avoid the scorching heat. Likewise, you’ll not plan a trip to Switzerland in December unless you are dying to see snowfall in the Swiss Alps!
Use the loyalty points
If you’re a part of any loyalty program of any airline company then while booking your next flight tickets, redeem the collected points so far for the discount. Using the loyalty points can help you save more on your next flight to Bangkok.
These are a couple of things you must do besides booking a 100% customized packaged trip to Bangkok if you would like to experience a hassle-free vacation in this Asian destination including sightseeing tours, rental cars etc.

You can also target Happy Tuesdays and sometimes Fridays to get additional discounts on your next fight tickets to Sydney.
You must also use the royalty points from a particular airline company for extra offers on business-class flights or first-class flights to Australia.

The Ultimate Air Ticket Buying Guide: 15 Things to Consider
Introduction
Traveling can be an exhilarating experience, but the process of finding the perfect air ticket can often be overwhelming. This comprehensive guide aims to simplify your journey by outlining the crucial factors to consider when purchasing air tickets. Whether you are a frequent flyer or a first-time traveler, understanding these 15 key elements will help you make informed decisions and, ultimately, enhance your travel experience.
Importance of a Comprehensive Air Ticket Buying Guide
Planning a trip involves meticulous attention to detail, and securing the right air ticket is a critical part of the process. From budget considerations to understanding airline policies, each aspect plays a role in shaping your travel experience. To make this process even smoother, consider utilizing the services of My Air Ticket, a platform designed to effortlessly find cheap flights and air tickets to various destinations.
Know Your Travel Plans
Destination and Duration
The first step in the air ticket buying process is to clearly define your travel plans. Determine your destination, the duration of your stay, and any specific preferences you may have, such as non-stop flights or layovers.
Flexibility in Dates
Being flexible with your travel dates can significantly impact the cost of your air ticket. Explore different departure and return dates to identify the most cost-effective options that align with your schedule.
Class Preferences
Decide on the travel class that suits your preferences and budget. Whether it's economy, business, or first class, understanding your comfort requirements is essential.
Budget Considerations
Setting a Realistic Budget
Before diving into the world of air ticket options, establish a realistic budget for your trip. Consider not only the cost of the air ticket but also additional expenses such as accommodation, transportation, and activities.
Hidden Costs and Fees
Be aware of potential hidden costs and fees associated with air travel, including baggage fees, seat selection charges, and in-flight amenities. Factor these into your budget to avoid unexpected expenses.
Booking Platforms
Comparing Online Travel Agencies
Numerous online travel agencies (OTAs) offer a variety of air ticket options. Compare prices, read reviews, and consider the user interface when choosing an OTA for your booking.
Direct Booking with Airlines
While OTAs are convenient, sometimes booking directly with the airline can yield better deals. Explore both options and weigh the advantages of direct booking, including potential loyalty program benefits.
Loyalty Programs and Rewards
Many airlines offer loyalty programs that reward frequent flyers with various perks. Consider joining these programs to accumulate miles and enjoy benefits such as free upgrades and priority boarding.
Timing is Everything
Best Time to Book
Timing plays a crucial role in securing the best airfare. Research indicates that booking in advance or capitalizing on last-minute deals can result in significant cost savings.
Off-Peak Travel
Traveling during off-peak seasons can also contribute to more affordable air tickets. Avoid peak travel times and holidays to find better deals.
Stay Informed About Deals and Discounts
Subscribing to Newsletters
Subscribe to newsletters from airlines and OTAs to stay informed about exclusive deals and discounts. Being proactive in receiving updates can help you snag the best offers.
Using Price Tracking Tools
Take advantage of price tracking tools that monitor fluctuations in air ticket prices. These tools can alert you when prices drop, allowing you to make timely bookings.
Understand Airline Policies
Baggage Allowance
Each airline has its own baggage allowance policies. Familiarize yourself with these limits to avoid additional charges and inconveniences during your journey.
Change and Cancellation Policies
Unforeseen circumstances may require changes to your travel plans. Before booking, understand the airline's change and cancellation policies to avoid any financial setbacks.
Seat Selection Options
Different airlines offer various seat selection options, from standard seats to premium classes. Choose the option that aligns with your preferences and comfort requirements.
Explore Alternative Airports
Proximity and Convenience
Consider exploring alternative airports near your destination. Sometimes, flying into a nearby airport can be more cost-effective, especially if ground transportation is readily available.
Potential Cost Savings
Smaller airports may offer lower landing fees, contributing to potential cost savings for airlines. This could translate into more affordable air tickets for travelers.
Consider Stopovers and Layovers
Longer Layovers for Cheaper Fares
While direct flights are convenient, opting for flights with longer layovers can often result in cheaper fares. Evaluate the pros and cons of non-stop versus connecting flights based on your preferences and budget.
Pros and Cons of Non-Stop vs. Connecting Flights
Non-stop flights save time but may be more expensive. Connecting flights, on the other hand, may take longer but could be more budget-friendly. Consider your priorities when making this decision.
Research Visa Requirements
Ensuring Travel Compliance
Before booking your air ticket, research and understand the visa requirements for your destination. Ensure that you have ample time to obtain the necessary visas to avoid any travel disruptions.
Visa Processing Time
Factor in the processing time for obtaining visas. Some countries may have lengthy processing periods, so plan accordingly to avoid last-minute complications.
Check for Travel Insurance Options
Importance of Travel Insurance
Travel insurance provides a safety net in case of unexpected events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost baggage. Prioritize purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to mitigate potential risks.
Coverage Details

Be Mindful of Loyalty Programs
Earning and Redeeming Points
Loyalty programs are not limited to airlines; certain credit cards also offer rewards for travel-related expenses. Explore options that allow you to earn and redeem points for air tickets.
Status Benefits
Higher-tier loyalty program members often enjoy additional benefits such as priority check-in, lounge access, and expedited security screening. Consider the long-term advantages of loyalty programs when making your decision.
Double-Check the Itinerary
Confirming Details
Before finalizing your air ticket purchase, double-check the itinerary for accuracy. Ensure that the dates, times, and connecting flights align with your travel plans.
Handling Layover Time
If your journey involves layovers, be mindful of the layover time. Ensure you have sufficient time between connecting flights to avoid rushing and potential delays.
