for as busy as she tends to be with her career as an artist, butter pretzel cookie always tries her best to carve out some time for the two of you to spend together — whether it’s something like a proper date night or a more casual thing like you coming in to her studio for her to paint an abstracted version of you for an exhibition (you are her muse after all)

in terms of pet names she leans towards things like ‘sweetheart’ and ‘angel’ when she’s more focused on her work, and your name when she’s talking to you directly — it’s not a negative thing she just thinks it’s more personal and respectful to use your actual name with you than any affectionate title

most of her warm up sketches consist of you: hundreds of expressions, hundreds of outfits, hundreds of poses, hundreds of moments captured in dozens of sketchbooks — some from before you two were a thing, from when she was admiring you from afar, and most from your time together

for all of her paintings she’s made of you — still life, abstract, silhouetted, themed, multi medium — she could fill several exhibitions, but instead she keeps most to herself to be admired in private in your share home (of course a few have gone off to galleries but those are the few she’s felt comfortable letting go, the vast majority are made to keep)

she has fallen asleep in her studio more times than she could possibly count, but it always puts a smile on her face when she wakes up with a soft blanket laid carefully over her shoulders — she loves that you take care of her in your own way without pushing her away from her art

you’re the person she goes to whenever she’s working on a new piece, looking for a fresh perspective and a new pair of eyes that she trusts to see each work in progress — the only person she’s not afraid to show her imperfect pieces to

she takes you to every exhibition and gallery and auction that’s held for her work or that she’s otherwise invited to, you’re her go-to date and all of her repeat clients adore you and refer to you as ‘her muse’ that she’s ‘always talking about’ (which makes her huffy, even if she knows it’s true)

she’s an early riser when she’s working on a project but she feels bad about waking you up because she tends to be louder than she realises in the morning — so she makes it up to you as best she can with breakfast in bed and by running you a bubble bath whilst you’re eating (she does enjoy spoiling you sometimes, even if she’d never admit it)

Yes I head cannon Vincent to love baking, I find it really cute.

"Vincent! Y/N! I'm taking Lester out for dinner, be back in about- 2 hours? Fuck if I know." Bo screams from the front door. The plan is ready for action. Today was Lester's birthday, you and Vincent have been planning to bake Lester a large array of sweet treats. You knew Vincent liked to bake because he would bake fresh cinnamon rolls or beignets at least once a week. But you didn't realize exactly how much Vincent liked to bake until you saw the list of treats y'all had to make.

Lester's Treats:

1 cake

1 pan of brownies

2 dozen cookies (1 dozen peanut butter, 1 dozen chocolate chip)

6 soft pretzels

Soft pretzels may not be a sweet treat but Lester loves them and with the amount of chocolate syrup he dumps on them it's considered a sweet treat. This all may seem like a lot but between Lester and Bo it will be gone in a week max. Vinny lifts you up and grabs the list of his desk as he darts upstairs to the kitchen. You can feel his excitement to bake with you. He kisses all over your face before he sets you down and starts waddling around the kitchen grabbing the ingredients Bo bought prior.

You two decided to bake the cake first. It was a red velvet cake with buttercream frosting. Vincent put all the ingredients in the bowl while you mixed, when he noticed that you were struggling a bit due to there being so much cake batter. He came up behind you and put his hand on top of yours to help you mix. His other hand was wrapped around your waist, as he swayed slightly. "You're doing great don't worry," he softly mumbled. You could tell he still had the biggest puppy dog crush on you even though y'all have been dating for a rather long period of time. You two finished mixing the cake and put it in the pan. You worked on the buttercream while Vincent made the brownies. You put a little bit of the buttercream frosting on the tip of your finger and called Vincent over. You took the buttercream and drew a small line on his forehead while proudly saying "Simba". (You had to explain the joke to him but he did giggle after and asked if you wanted to lift him up.)

About 2 hours have passed when you two were done baking everything, the only thing left was adding a bit of powdered sugar to the cookies (to make it Pinterest worthy) and salt to the soft pretzels. "Y/n," Vincent softly mumbled, you turned around after you added the salt to the last pretze to be met with a spoonful of powdered sugar on your shirt. "You're it," he laughed while quickly grabbing another spoonful. "Oh It's on!" You giggle while grabbing a cup full of it while throwing it at Vincent. He quickly tossed his little bit of sugar at you before he got covered in the sugar you threw, War has begun.

Lester and Bo came home, on a table were all the baked goods you and Vincent had made. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LESTER!" Everyone yelled as you, Vincent and Jonsey popped from behind the table (you two made Jonsey a little bandana that had "Happy birthday Lester written on it). Lester giggled at you and Vincent was head to toe covered in powdered sugar. "Damn, y'all dressed up as sperm cells for the event wtf happened?" Bo says while shaking his head.

After the little party y'all had, you and Vincent spent the night attempting to clean up all the powdered sugar (while struggling to keep Jonesy out of the room so she wouldn't try to like it all up.)

requested by: no one i literally just got this idea and i am doing what one could call "impulsive writing"

word count: 343 words.

the wooden planks could no longer be seen, as they had been buried under dozens and dozens of already used paper sheets. light had trouble finding its way inside the studio, the windows also covered in sketches. a powerful, almost intoxicating scent of paint and ink floated around, which could make your head hurt, unless you were used to it.

butter pretzel was once again sketching. her talented hands drew lines over lines, adding details one would've regarded as useless, and sometimes, she's stop everything to eye her in-the-making piece of art.

it was a portrait of you, smiling in her direction. each imperfection on your face, every wrinkle on your clothes, every strand of hair— it all had been reproduced to perfection.

at least, that's what an outsider would think. but in butter pretzel's mind, your portrait was, once again, a failure.

she didn't know why, exactly. well, she knew something was missing— but what could it be?? she had observed you for hours —maybe without you knowing—, she perfectly knew how you looked like!

butter pretzel detached the sheet from its wooden easel, letting it fall to the ground— had the trashcan been empty, she would've gladly thrown it in there. but it's been weeks, perhaps even months, since the trashcan had been emptied.

butter pretzel glanced down, observing all the paper sheets she threw on the ground. they all depicted you, in various poses and situations.

some were of you gently sleeping— those were hard to do, due the moonlight not being the best source of light to draw. others showed you doing daily, mundane activities like walking down the street, or sitting on a bench.

she had spent hours and hours on each of them, yet, something was always missing, in each of them. and never could she exactly pinpoint what it was.

butter pretzel scoffed, taking another plain sheet from her desk and attaching it to the easel. whatever. she'll try again, and again, until the sketches will be just like you.

You looked down to the floor of your jail cell, hands cuffed together as you sat in silence, trying to take in what had just happened that led to you winding up in here.

You were arrested for the theft of Cheese Stones in Pumpkin Cookie’s Appraisal, being the only Cookie at the scene when alarms were raised. You swore up and down that you were only there to have Melon Bun’s stones apprised for her, but cops at the scene didn’t want to hear it. Cheese Stones were stolen, you had a bagful of them, and you were a new face around these parts, you had to be the crook.

You never would’ve expected to find yourself at the back of a police car today, getting your mugshot, then placed into a cell as they started their investigation into the matter. You again swore that you had nothing to do with this matter, but the guards putting you into your cell could care less for what a crook had to say.

So here you were, sitting in silence within your cell, awaiting your sentencing. Your hands were shaking, you’ve never been arrested before, let alone about to be prosecuted.

It was made worse based on the fact that you didn’t anything…

Solving this case was the least of his worries. Word had gone out about your arrest and now Almond had to deal with a number of cookies expressing their outrage and sympathy for you.

What a calamity, Truffle Cookie thought. To think that you of all cookies would be arrested came as a surprise to her. She’d politely request Almond Cookie to solve the case, but that polite tone contrasted her shadowy eyed look. He BETTER find the true culprit, she refused to accept that you were the felon, and Almond might just have to accept what comes to him if you’re put away for good. His closets or under the bed will never be safe.

Almond Cookie, the Cookie that helped her with the painting affair in the past, has now decided that you were to be locked up without even an investigation on who did it in the first place? Talk about shotty detective work, Butter Pretzel Cookie thinks. Her frustration is more personal on the fact that she wanted to unveil a portrait of you when you were free, so being arrested really put a damper on her mood.

Lollipop Cookie didn’t understand. You, a cookie she’s known for a while, arrested? But…you never showed signs of being a criminal, she was having to be consoled by Butterbear after a bout of crying. You said that you would visit the shop the next day to spend time with her and Butterbear, she was really looking forward to it and was saddened that it couldn’t happen now. She’ll plead with Almond to set you free, you haven’t done anything wrong!

Melon Bun herself showed up to the witness testimonies and gave her account that you really were just doing an errand for her! She was worried when you didn’t return after a few hours and was caught off guard when Pumpkin told that you were jailed! She felt guilty for what happened and will personally see to it that you were freed! She only hopes you don’t hate her after this…

Almond was done gathering testimonies and started to lay out the pieces together.

You started the day by visiting Truffle Cookie to have tea time together, having pleasant small talk with her. (Truffle Cookie did have to pause her testimony as she held her blushing cheeks, ah, you said so much sweet things to her, she felt like a highschool girl with a crush.)

You then visited Butter Pretzel to help with her paintings, she needed more materials and she’s worried that stepping away will make her current work dry out before she can get more. She wanted you to stay and draw you a portrait, it was a long task however. She grew frustrated that she couldn’t perfectly replicate you in art form, she had to throw away so many drafts before she finally got one to satisfy her standards. Oddly enough, she closed her shop for the day right around when she started to work on your portrait.

Finally, you visited Melon Bun, who wanted your help to get her cheese stones appraised, but couldn’t leave the mine. She didn’t want Goblin Cookie running off with the haul she had right now! You agreed and Melon Bun promised that when you got back, you two were gonna have a pizza date! Looking forward to it, you grabbed the bag of cheese stones and made your way to the Appraisal.

Unfortunately, this would be right around the time that the Appraisal would be robbed of their array of cheese stones, done by a currently unknown Cookie. However, the pictures at the crime scene left details that Almond Cookie knew all too well.

This…felon was the one that had done this, this crook had always been a thorn to Almond Cookie’s side. The more Almond Cookie pieced together the evidence, the more guilty he had got.

Almond made his way to the jail cells, moving past the four cookies who went after him, ignoring their questions as he reached the cells. You plagued his mind, the look of sorrow on your mugshot coming back to him. That only made his pace faster.

He had to get to you.

The weight was finally lifted off your shoulders when the fell opened and your cuffs were unlocked, Almond Cookie knelt down to meet your gaze.

He…wanted to apologize for every mistake this station had done to you. It was a mistake to have arrested you blindly, to have you even jailed here, Almond wanted to personally meet the officer that made the arrest and give them a reminder of why you don’t arrest innocent cookies.

He guided you out of your cells, to meet the four cookies that had arrived after hearing the news.

Lollipop wanted to hug you and ask if you were okay, but you rejected her attempt. You..wanted to be alone right now, get some coffee, and just shake off the day. Lollipop understood…but that tear that came out betrayed her words.

Truffle held your arm and expressed relief that you were innocent, would you…care for some tea? She wanted to help take your mind this whole incident, she’ll make yours especially sweet! You shrugged off her hold and told her some other time. To Truffle Cookie’ her heart shattered as she let go, looking down somberly.

Butter Pretzel caught your attention and asked if you wanted to see your portrait! She finished it and hoped that she captured your sweetness, she really wanted you to like it and to an extent…like her. You did your best to be polite and turned down right now, but you promise to look at it some other time. She says it’s fine…but the thoughts of striking Almond over the head with the painting say otherwise.

Melon Bun wanted to apologize big time for getting you into this mess, she didn’t mean to get you arrested, she didn’t mean for you to go through this experience, she hoped this whole thing was scrubbed off your clean record. Please don’t hate her

Almond was the same, he wanted to apologize for the station’s mistakes and responded to Melon Bun’s worries that this incident will be removed and wiped off, he’ll see to it personally that it does. He hopes that this situation doesn’t make you afraid of him or any authority, but when you couldn’t make eye contact with him, his fears might have been realized.

You announced your departure with a strained smile as you went home. As soon as you were out of view, the four cookies quickly turned to Almond Cookie, their glowing eyes shadowed in darkness, brimmed with murderous intent.

Almond defended himself, stating that was this crooked cookie that was responsible for this crime, let’s go after them instead of bickering here. Almond himself was incredibly angry too…the mere possibility that this cookie can get away with possibly ruining Almond’s relationship with you…enrages him.

The next day’s news covered a brutal attack on a now jailed cookie, their dough bruised and cracked enough to leave noticeable injuries. Almond expressed no sympathy for the criminal, saying they deserved what they got. He shrugged off and disregarded the traces of butter, spiders, and cheese found on the perp, and especially the black eye the cookie had.

Butter Pretzel hummed as she painted a new portrait of you, who knew that bits of jam could really bring out the eyes.

Melon Bun whistles as she cleaned her pickaxe, watching over her shoulder every now and then. She didn’t want others to see the strawberry jam on it.

Truffle sipped on her tea as she heard the news over radio, giggling to herself as a shadow was casted over her eyes.

Lollipop wasn’t that invested into the news, she was busy spending time playing with you in the workshop, with Butterbear watching over the two of you with a laugh. As long as you were here, Lollipop didn’t really care what becomes of that thief.

All of them wouldn’t mind if this criminal was put away for good though. Because getting out meant facing these cookies again…and they can hold a grudge.

Can you imagine how cute that would be? Eep okay this is gonna be so much fun!

It took Steve six months. Six months to ask you out.

He looked nervous beyond belief, but you found it quite endearing. You’d been crushing on him for quite some time after you’d met him through your friend Robin. When she and he had began working at Family Video, she encouraged you to stop by and visit her.

Little did you know, she had been secretly trying to play matchmaker. You had to admit, she might’ve been on to something, thinking the two of you would be good together. Well, you had started crushing almost instantly and your best friend knew it.

What you didn’t know was she knew Steve liked you too. So being her own Robin self, she decided to convince him to ask you out and here you were.

He didn’t want to do the whole typical first date thing that he did with most girls, he’d explained. Apparently, there’d been many. Not that that surprised you very much.

“A picnic at Lover’s Lake?” you asked, with a questioning brow.

It was crawling toward sunset and the natural light was fading, but you could’ve sworn you saw him blush.

“Nancy and Robin might’ve helped me plan.”

“I love it,” you smiled.

And you did. No guy has ever put this much thought into a date with you before, let alone a first date.

“You do?” he smiled, looking up at you as he finished spreading out the picnic blanket, then holding up a hand to help you sit down gingerly.

“I do,” you confirmed, “So what’s on the menu?”

“That,” he said, opening the basket, “I’m not sure and I apologize for whatever may be in here.”

Your brows raised, not sure what to say to that.

“The kids took it upon themselves to pack the meal,” he explained, somewhat sheepishly.

“Well let’s see what we have,” you chuckled, pulling out two sandwiches, one labeled Steve and the other with your name on it.

“What’d you get?” you asked.

“Turkey and cheese. You?”

“Peanut butter and jelly,” you smiled.

“Sorry, they didn’t know what your favorite sandwich was, so I guess that was their default.”

He smiled his infamous Steve Harrington smile. All straight, white teeth, eyes twinkling and the wrinkled outer corners of his eyes and it made your stomach flutter. He was such a great guy and he didn’t even realize it.

“Well they’re in luck because I happen to love peanut butter and jelly,” you responded truthfully.

“What else is in there?” he asked, taking a bite of his sandwich.

“Let’s see…” you reached back in, pulling out two chilled bottles of water, a bag of pretzels—“to share” had been written on a sticky note taped to it, causing Steve to roll his eyes and chuckle.

For dessert there were homemade chocolate chip cookies “treats from Mrs. Wheeler” written on the plastic baggie of them.

“Well that was nice of her,” you smiled, remembering that that was Mike’s mom.

Steve had told you all about the kids, part his children, part his friends, but 100% his family. You hadn’t met them, just heard about them, but you remembered enough.

“You’re in luck, she makes the best homemade cookies I’ve ever tasted,” Steve said.

You reached into the basket, seeing another baggie.

“Eggos?” you asked, confused, holding up the baggie with two in it.

Steve laughed outright at that, almost choking on his sandwich.

“Ah. That must’ve been El’s addition. She kinda has a thing for waffles. We can always eat those later if we get hungry.”

You smiled, looking at the spread, touched at the fact these kids had went to such lengths to help their friend.

“These kids are something special,” you mused.

“You have no idea. I love the little shits,” he grinned, meaning the name to be endearing rather than offending.

“Oh wait there’s something else in there, I think,” you said, spotting another box tucked in the corner.

“I don’t think we need anything else after this feast,” Steve quipped, but his eyes widened as he saw what you pulled out of the basket.

“Is…Is this a box of condoms?” you asked, looking at Steve who for sure looked like he wanted to die of embarrassment, but you couldn’t help but joke, even just the tiniest bit.

“That’s presumptuous of you, Harrington.”

He grabbed the box out of your hands and tossed it back into the picnic basket, closing the lid, so fast that you almost didn’t know what had happened.

“I swear I didn’t put those in there. It must’ve been Robin who snuck those in.”

“I figured, considering there was a note attached that said “be safe kiddos”. Besides, I wouldn’t put it past her,” you chuckled.

He seemed to visibly relax when he realized you were offended or freaked out.

“It really is her style, isn’t it?” he breathed a laugh.

“I’m sure she would’ve paid good money to have seen your face when we discovered that.”

“She would,” he rolled his eyes, before looking back at you, more serious, “Just to be clear, I’m not expecting…that. I mean if you want to, that’s fine, I just don’t want sex. I mean I’m not the kind of guy to expect sex on the first date. Not saying that’s bad for people who do do that, but—”

“Steve,” you chuckled, stopping his rambling, “I know. It’s okay. I just want to enjoy the date and get to know you first, if that’s okay.”

“Yeah, that’s more than okay,” he smiled.

You both shared the bag of pretzels, talking about anything and everything. When conversation circled back to Robin, you couldn’t help but ask.

“How did you meet Robin?”

“We both worked at Scoops Ahoy at the mall a few summers ago actually. I may have only known her for a few years, but I swear she’s the kind of person you feel like you’ve known your whole life.”

You smiled at his compliment because you knew it was true.

“I know. She’s just so loving and welcoming like that. Funny thing is, I met her that fall, our senior year. We hung out, but not really outside of school. I didn’t seem to pay attention very much to you though, at the time that is.”

“Ouch,” he mocked hurt before grinning again, “How come?”

You shrugged.

“I knew you both were really close. I didn’t know if you were just friends or…something more. So I didn’t want to develop feelings for someone if it was my friend’s boyfriend.”

“Definitely not,” he shook his head.

“I mean I know that now,” you laughed, “Strictly platonic.”

“With a capital P,” he finished.

The sun had set and the cookies were being munched on as you watched the sky darken in silence.

“Penny for your thoughts?” he asked.

“I’m just thinking about how nice all of this is. How nice you are.”

“Is there a “but” coming in that sentence?” he asked warily.

“No,” you shook your head, looking at him, “Nothing could beat this. I hope you know that.”

Maybe you felt a little reckless at the moment. Your entire body felt light and airy from the happiness you felt, your stomach was filled with the food so lovingly prepared and the late summer air was cooling enough that it left goosebumps on your skin as you leaned over to him, kissing him briefly.

It was a short, sweet kiss, but it held all your feelings and contentment that was currently making your heart pound.

You pulled back, a bit nervous when you saw him frozen in place, eyes still closed.

“I hope that was okay,” you bit your lip, watching his eyes flutter open and his tongue peek out to wet his lips.

“Yeah, more than okay,” he nodded, his whisper a bit raspy.

As the night darkened, the stars shone bright in the sky. But nothing could outshine the smiles on your faces as you laid next to one another, looking at them and periodically sharing more kisses.

This had been the best first date ever.

Peter hummed, tearing his gaze away from the screen, and resting his hand on your thigh when you sat up. "Something wrong love" He asked, his chocolate eyes looking into your own awaiting for your reply.

"No, I told dad that we were watching Star Wars and he well" You cleared your throat, "He made Happy order some titbits" You checked your phone when the notification bell went off. "And it looks like they're here" You smiled up at him, slipping the fluffy blanket off your lap. "I'll be right back"

Peter only nodded his head, slightly confused with the idea of Mr. Stark buying treats for a simple movie marathon, even though the theater room already had a built in snack area. But he obviously wouldn't question his mentor. Instead, he paused the movie, refilling his popcorn cup with buttery popcorn waiting for you to come back.

You kicked the door wide open, your arms full with containers of all sort of bites and foods which your dad ordered. "Petey need some help" You called out, making your boyfriend look your way, his movements were quick seeing your struggle with the boxes.

"What the hell" Peter uttered, resting the containers on a near beanbag. "He went a little overboard" Peter joked, opening one of the boxes.

"Wait those are cool" You pointed at the fruit lightsaber stick Peter held up. You tore the other box open, revealing Chewbacca and princess Leia cookies. "Check these out"

Peter bit into the cookie, a satisfied moan of appeal slipping his lips. "Did you just moan" You laughed out loud, slapping your hand against your mouth when Peter's eye bulged realizing what sound he just made.

"Save it for the bedroom Pete" You quipped, returning to opening the other three boxes, one consisted of colored pretzel lightsabers while the other had Yoda matcha croissants. "These look delicious" You grabbed the croissant biting the green delicacy. You shook your head, feeding Peter a small piece.

"That's fucking bomb" His words muffled because of his full mouth. "One more" He pulled the last box on the reclining chair, curiously looking at the label before opening the box. "These are by far the coolest" He gasped, picking up the BB-8 cake balls.

"Dad really outdid himself huh" You smiled, draping the cover over your lap, and stealthily stealing the cake ball from Peter's hand earning a grumble from the brown headed boy.

"Oh hush Pete, play the movie" You grinned, laying your head on his shoulder, pecking the space in between his neck and earlobe. Smiling softly when he kissed your forehead resuming the movie. "Oh my gosh Luke" You playfully awed knowing how it annoyed the boy beside you.

"Oh please Stark, he's not that good looking" Peter rolled his eyes, munching aggressively on the Leia cookie.

"Sure Pete" You tapped his tummy, dusting your hands on a napkin before returning your head on your previous spot from earlier, Peter's lap. "Luke's got nothing on my spider boyfriend" You teased, shifting when Peter lightly pinched you, a chuckle leaving his lips.

"Damn right" He replied, brushing his hands through your hair again, nibbling on a Yoda croissant.

he is way too excited and giddy about helping you bake
