writing sanjimisery is like oh there is always so so so much there that its overflowing its taking up every inch of his body and mind and carrying your writing on its own.

writing zoromisery is like oh its all negative space its almost as if theres nothing here bc the thing that IS here is so huge and singular that you cant see anything else at all and somehow you have to find words for it

#do you get me?#i think the reason zoromisery is so fun for me besides the novelty of 'i havent written it before' is bc hes so mecore #writing sanji is cathartic in its own way for the tense and release #but zoro is just. ough. its the peeling epidermis its the digging through muscle and marrow to make HIM understand what hes feeling #you know what i mean? anyway #trying to write this very specific experience of like #your eyes burning like theyre too dry and almost aching in the back of your skull #and its really weird and unfamiliar and you dont understand its your body wanting to cry #but its hard to convey #like to balance him not knowing that and the reader knowing it. but knowing he doesnt know. but--
