The obsession some people have towards ships needing "canon" basis to be valid nowadays is so crazy to me. Shipping, to me, is all about finding connections, even ones that don't explicitly exist in the canon. These people would not have survived some of my past fandoms 😭😭

Saying this ^ about ChiLi specifically is SOOOOOO insane considering they were one of the first big ships in genshin with SO much basis. And even if not, why does it matter if they know each other anyways? Clearly they have a dynamic/vibe that people enjoy, so why does it matter that much? Idk I despise these "canon vs fanon" memes because I think the kind of people who post them don't understand fandom and the creativity that comes with it. But yeah saying ChiLi in specific, which is what the post im ranting about said, is crazy. Just say you weren't around in the early days of genshin???? Also another one they said was like, saying you shouldn't ship relationships that are toxic in canon. Shut the fuck uppppppppp 😭 stop being the fun police I beg 🙏🙏🙏
