I’m a sagittarius sun/gemini moon/leo rising/scorpio mars/sagittarius venus/scorpio mercury
Literally anything helps 😭😭😭
sag sun/gemini moon can give the impression that you’re always on the move. this is, for one, because they’re both mutable signs and they’re not exactly afraid of change. sagittarius doesn’t like to be confined to pesky little things like routine and gemini is always seeking something to stimulate its constant need for excitement. so you’re probably adventurous and constantly looking for a new experience, and you may dread feeling stagnant or like you’re stuck in the same place.
leo risings in my experience always seem to draw people in a very natural way. you guys don’t have to try, people just automatically love you and want to be friends with you and you may even draw a lot of unwanted attention… this happens to my friend all the time lol like she’s very beloved but sometimes people act overfamiliar with her… particularly when she posts she always reaches more people than she intends which has gotten her in trouble but also earned her a lot of friends! long story short ppl with this placement usually have a lot of charisma
mars in scorpio is a very comfortable place for mars and this basically gives you intense fixed energy in your way of life. mars is all about action/conflict/energy/sex/anger and scorpio is about transformation/sex/power/death/passion. like, you are a warrior. this is a placement that screams mad willpower and determination. but this placement may also make you come across as mysterious and/or secretive which only strengthens my idea that you definitely attract a lot of people into your life 😭 some ppl call scorpio the fire sign of water signs but really it’s just all that passion. you can’t hide it. you might try though! more keywords that come to mind are intuitive, deep, loyal (debatable… you guys don’t tend to just give away loyalty like ppl have to WORK for that. but once you’re in? you’re in for life), etc like that always seems to check out
sagittarius venus i don’t have much direct experience with ppl with this placement but from my understanding, y’all are silly and unserious and playful and adventure-loving. you might get bored easily but at the same time it’s all about not letting things get boring and/or finding someone who helps make sure things are never stale. you are likely attracted to someone who can constantly impress and excite you, and repetition may kinda ruin things for you. and like i said with your sag sun/gem moon, you probably give off the vibe that you don’t stay in the same place for a long time. and you probably would rather be single than be with someone who makes you feel stagnant or trapped
scorpio mercury i have never met a scorpio mercury that liked small talk… but i have met some that use it in a strategic way 😭😭😭 this placement + your venus also makes me think you may be a bad texter. i could be wrong. but i notice things. anyways this + your venus and lowkey everything else also makes me think you are just more fond of deeper convos. you want something fun, something stimulating, something alive. my girlfriend is a scorpio mercury and she does all of the above but she’s also really good at noticing when people are lying to her. the scorpio mercuries i know have really deep and intense thoughts that can draw “????” reactions from others, but it can also make you sick of yourself and wish you could turn your brain off lmao
TL;DR: you’re here for a good time, not a long time lol
#anon#answered#asks#i think these are really neat placements btw#we could be friends even#it’s funny i say this bc im not too crazy about sags#but you have a nice blend of fixed and mutable energy!#astro talk

Do you think there's placements that indicate that someone love having friends online but doesn't necessarily like/want it irl ? like hanging out on discord is cool, hanging out with people in my home/in the exterior ? nah thanks fhhf
isnt the 8th house about the internet...? or was it aquarius i can't remember ? but i do have a little uranus in the 8th in aquarius ahah and my 7th/11th/5th and 9th houses are empty ? and i've understood that some of these could have a link with friends ?
Hi love!
I love this question omg that's so interesting! I do have some thoughts about this for some time now. Let's talk about it:)
Interesting enough, different people perceive this differently. Some astrologers perceive the 3rd house and many use it based off horary astrology to interpret certain charts and it makes sense since 3rd house do have power over communication. However, some others believe the internet is in fact ruled by the 10th house or the 11th house, since the 10th house got to do with the public and what we do with our reputation, but the 11th house gives meaning to the 10th house, by dissecting it and opening it up to not only your persona but your friends, your dreams, whats gives us meanings and connections. Its not just about you anymore but expand it wider to us as a whole. It deals with organizations, companions and it expands on the idea of cooperation.
So again, depends on how you interpret the internet, we can use different houses. Do you think its just a place where you considered an "everyday environment"? Then we'll use the 3rd house. Do you consider it a place where it brings people together? Then we use the 10th and the 11th house.
Getting back to your question luv, I think people who enjoy the internet yet may be reserved in public, social settings may have a noticeable chart with clear fixed and cardinal energy. Since I have been noticing this for a while, mutable people can be very sociable and they easily adapt pretty much everywhere and especially if they're Mercury-ruled, depending on the rest of their chart can literally vibe with anyone anywhere. Cardinal energy can become the same yet they're also highkey fixed people in the sense they seek the familiar energy they crave. Meaning they tend to wander but always come to that one place they love. They're like a fine blend of mutable and fixed energy, so if they feel like the public settings aren't their cup of tea, they would prefer friends online who understand them and whom energies they are familiar with. Fixed people are stubborn af haha but we've been knew! So they can maintain both lives pretty well but they also have similar mentality like cardinal people, its just that they're very realistic so they if they acc grow to love the friends they met online, they will initiate to meet them!(cardinal mix with fixed can manifest this too!)
I think people with 12th house placements/9th house placements/3rd house placements and sometimes 6th house placements may particularly love having friends online. They like how effortless it can feel sometime and these mutable houses need acceptance above all else. Once they receive that its very hard for them to let go! Gemini placements and Virgo placements along with Libra placements or Sagittarius placements might love this dynamic a lot!! They tend to have a nice circle of friends and they get to do this through the internet:)
I think Lilith also plays an important part, because once again, expanding on the idea of the 11th house "bringing people together", Lilith dominant people can unconsciously search for a safe space where they feel accepted and understood. They need to be wary of this though since while the Internet is filled with amazing people, there are bad people too. Lilith in the social houses (air houses) and cardinal houses understand this the most. Also I think a damaged Moon or Moon in mutable houses people also tend to enjoy escapism on the internet a lot!! Venus also plays an important factor too, I think Venus in mutable houses can manifest the same energy as Moon, but Venus in mutable houses don't seek for acceptance but rather for company and expansion in my opinions! Jupiter in the air houses and in house 10th, 12th and 3rd may also love the internet a lot!! Jupiter in 12th house love whats hidden and they enjoy having a safe place they can retreat to:)
So these are some of my observations so far! Keep in mind this is purely based off my own limited research love<33 Everyone can be vastly different depending on their own personal placements and its aspects:D However, I would love to hear others opinions this🤎 Hope this helps you baddie!
love,
saint jenx🪐

Astrological signs for Obi-Wan Kenobi!
I know astrology can be a divisive subject for some people, but I’m into it and I’ve been studying it for a bit. I mostly just focused on the signs and planets, not on the houses that they fell into, so there may be some inconsistencies! I might change these later the more I learn, but this is just for fun! Here is my take on Obi-Wan! (Anakin is here!) Before I get into this, I want to explain the elements and the modes:
Air = thoughts/intellect Earth = materialism/pragmatism Water = emotion/spiritualism Fire = Action/Instinct
Cardinal = initiative Fixed = stability Mutable = adaptability
Obi-Wan has mostly Earth and Air, making him practical and intellectual. He has just enough water to give him emotional understanding of others and a sense of spirituality. He is also Cardinal and Mutable dominant, which gives him initiative and adaptability.
Libra Ascendant: Oh, charming Obi-Wan. The ascendant is considered a mask and filter. It is the ‘mask’ we unconsciously show to the world, before people get to know us more personally. Obi-Wan gives the first impression of a Libra, there is a ‘lightness’ to how he conducts himself with acquaintances, charming them, approaching with friendliness and wit. This doesn’t mean he isn’t friendly inside, this is just the part of himself he is comfortable with showing first. Having a Libra Ascendant lightens up his serious Virgo interior. Libra gives him both his cheeky and intellectual demeanor. Cue Obi-Wan’s Ascendant being cheeky here:
The Ascendant is also a filter, meaning Obi-Wan interprets the world around him through the lens of a Libra. Libra makes him see things in terms of balance and harmony. Libra also has the air of a leader and is a very attractive sign to others. I originally had Obi-Wan as a Libra Rising, changed it to Gemini, and now it’s at Libra again because he just has this aura of a leader. There’s a reason why people look to him for guidance. As a leader he is very focused on fairness and equality. It makes sense with how he views the clones as equally important life, and not as tools.
Virgo Sun: I made Obi-Wan a Virgo Sun instead of a Libra Sun because he appears very charming, but we can see Obi-Wan from the perspective of someone who knows him very well: Anakin. Anakin sees what Obi-Wan hides from everyone else. The way Obi-Wan acts around Anakin when he is alone suggests that he is a Virgo to me. He is diligent, dutiful, pragmatic, and likes to be of service. These are traits that Obi-Wan is well-known for, giving his life to the Jedi Order and to others. That is the very core of who he is.
Virgos can get very critical of others as well, and Anakin is no stranger to that. He is prone to over-analysis and anxiety, but he projects a calm, charismatic veneer (the Ascendant). The mutable mode of this sign makes harmony a priority for him. His Ascendant and Mercury are compatible with those aims as well, which makes him seem very consistent personality-wise. Obi-Wan would like nothing more than to have a nice, calm space to meditate (mostly, anyway, he’d probably get bored after a while thanks to the cardinal Libra/Capricorn influence.) Virgo makes him keenly aware of his health, and he takes special care to consume healthy foods and take care of his body. Because it rules the stomach, Obi-Wan may have a sensitive stomach that gets upset when he is nervous.
Cancer Moon: The moon is where we express our emotions, our vulnerabilities, and our maternal instinct. Moon in Cancer is in the sign of its rulership, so it is particularly potent. The Cancer Moon shows Obi-Wan’s adherence and value for tradition. It’s the core of Obi-Wan’s emotional self, the only water sign he has in his inner planets, and it’s a side that he only shows when he is completely comfortable. It isn’t a side that he has much experience with either.
With the moon being a maternal planet and Cancer being a feminine sign, there is a distinctly maternal energy in the way he cares for his loved ones. The way Obi-Wan is described on Mustafar as trying to tire Anakin out so he can cuddle him sounds like Anakin is his baby. In a deleted scene of Clone Wars, when Anakin asks how Obi-Wan would sleep knowing that he’d failed, Obi-Wan replies with “Not very well, but luckily that isn’t true, and never will be.” That sounds like a Cancer Moon Momma if I’ve ever heard one.
His Libra Ascendant and Mercury also square his Cancer Moon (cardinal signs all square each other), so he has a lot of difficulty talking about his feelings or showing his feelings.
Even though he can be overly-critical or put on a flirtatious facade, he is deeply sincere and patient towards his dearest. Cancer is emotionally intuitive, so he has a keen sense of when someone is lying. He knows there’s a lot of emotion under Anakin’s surface. He feels deeply for Anakin, but being mostly comprised of Air and Earth make it difficult for him to communicate in a way that Anakin would understand. This is the part of Obi-Wan that Anakin feels starved of, the part that he clings to, and Obi-Wan doesn’t often indulge in it because it feels like he is losing control (and Virgos like keeping control of themselves). He’s worried he would become too attached (More on this with Anakin’s chart). Cancer has a hard shell and claws, so if Obi-Wan feels like someone is trying to dig into his vulnerabilities, he’s going to snap. I feel like this is probably what happened when Darth Maul was taunting Obi-Wan about killing his master.
Mercury in Libra: Mercury is all about how we understand things, think, and communicate. Mercury in Libra values balance and fair negotiation where everyone benefits is ideal. He is fluid and adaptable, without being overly emotional. He wants to make sure people are comfortable. (Which is why I think he still might be Libra Ascendant). Libra values fairness and equality above all. Libra is both intellectual and relationship oriented. He intellectually knows that he has to continually reach out to Anakin in order to maintain their good relationship.
When giving criticism, he tries to be patient and gentle, however his Virgo Sun (the ego) may get frustrated and that’s when he gives sharp criticism.
He will start with “perhaps the problem is [blank]”, which then becomes “Anakin, just do what I tell you”, when he becomes exasperated (which is often with Anakin).
His Libra Mercury is where we get more of his wit and flirtatious attitude. I didn’t go with Gemini here because it’s mutable and known to flit from one subject to the next, while Obi-Wan seems to be more linear in the way he communicates. And I didn’t pick Aquarius because he prefers keeping harmony over bucking convention. This what Obi-Wan’s Sun/Mercury look like when he’s double-checking that he’s reading things correctly:
(Obi-Wan’s Libra Mercury trying to assure Cody that everything is fine.)
Venus in Virgo: Venus rules romance, aesthetics, and taste. It is considered ‘debilitated’ in Virgo (I don’t believe in that stuff), so he doesn’t express love in an overly romantic sense. However, with having Libra in his personal planets (as well as a Cancer moon), he is not unfamiliar to those things, and they probably color his Virgoan affection. The Libra Ascendant and Mercury make him flirty, and the Cancer moon gives him a need for giving/receiving emotional care.
One word to desribe Venus in Virgo is practical. Obi-Wan’s Venus is effortlessly meticulous and pays careful attention to the cues of people around him. He will express love in small, practical gestures: making Anakin a cup of tea with his favorite blend, organizing things for him, making sure he slept enough, etc. It’s also mutable, so he’s malleable about accommodating what his loved ones want, even if he finds it a bit irritating. To him, love is less about romantic gestures than practical, day-to-day reality. It’s very grounded and realistic, and he knows when someone isn’t going to be a good match for him. He can visualize what will work with his life and what won’t.
Virgo Venus makes him susceptible to focusing only on his partner’s needs, and not thinking about his own. Obi-Wan probably doesn’t even know what his needs are, aside from practicality! If someone isn’t serving him the way he would serve them, he might come to the conclusion that they don’t love him, because he would have done that for them. He does not want to be the one doing all the work, and if he feels he’s the only one pulling the weight, he’s going to drop the relationship, because it isn’t practical, he knows it’s not going to work long-term. But even then, he has trouble letting people take care of him or show him love! Then, when it doesn’t work out, he’s going to blame himself, because Virgo puts a lot of pressure on itself!
(Obi-Wan’s Cancer Moon/Virgo Venus picking up on Anakin’s mood.)
He holds high standards for himself in love, so he can be bothered when someone doesn’t do the same in return. He needs to realize (like Anakin does) that people have different ways of expressing love.
As noted with his Sun, criticism can be biting here, however he means for it to help his loved ones improve. He chides Anakin often, sometimes meant as an expression of care, which is actually quite foreign to the way that Anakin expresses love. It would make sense that Anakin feels unwanted, especially since he knows Obi-Wan has a more gentle Cancer Moon. He mistakes Obi-Wan’s Cancer moon as his real expression of love, (when it’s really Obi-Wan’s vulnerable spot), and that Obi-Wan won’t give it to him.
In terms of taste, he likes things to be simple, clean, and tidy. Comfortable minimalism. Highly organized and space-efficient.
He needs to feel safe and secure before getting intimate with someone. Virgos, and Virgo Venuses, can also be very self-conscious regarding their appearance. Obi-Wan might not trust that a person actually wants him and finds him attractive, which would make it difficult for him to get intimate. He might even have body image issues. ‘Really? They think I’m attractive? Have they really taken a look at me?’ He prefers a clean bed, clean bodies, and clothes neatly folded on the floor. Maybe some gentle, pleasing scents. No photography allowed. Virgos apparently have a rep for being kinky, so there’s that too I guess.
Mars in Capricorn: Mars rules passion, war, instinct, and sexuality. Mars is exalted in Capricorn. Meaning that it is perfected. Capricorn is a cardinal sign, making it action-oriented like Aries, but it is tempered with practicality and a cool disposition. Obi-Wan is not prone to losing his head in battle and as a general (which is helpful because being a mutable Virgo can make him prone to analysis paralysis and anxiety). I’ve read it described that Virgo wants to be of service, Capricorn wants to be in charge.
Obi-Wan calls upon Capricorn to give him the precision and endurance for his fighting style and leading an army. He is a warrior, and he will do whatever needs to be done, when it needs to be done. That moment where he protects Cody from a projectile looks like his Capricorn Mars is showing. Aggressive, but sharply focused.
There is a ruthlessness to Capricorn, and his Capricorn Mars allows him to step aside and let one of his soldiers kill someone for him. This is the side of Obi-Wan that comes out when you’ve worn out all his patience and empathy.
There is the potential to be a workaholic, not surprising since Obi-Wan is clearly due for a nap. Or twenty.
In terms of sexuality, it is harmonious with his Earth-based Venus and Sun. Capricorn makes him confident, and he wants to provide the best experience possible for his partner in an overachieving way, and Virgo helps attune him to every detail of his partner’s needs. This is a perfectionist in the bedroom. At first it’s difficult for him to indulge in these things, but these Earth signs do make him a (reluctant) sensualist. Touch-starved and won’t admit it! It seems to me that touch is a way he shows affection, but he doesn’t indulge in it because he’s worried he’d get too attached, so he heavily abstains from it. It’s highly intimate for him. Combining his Moon, Venus, and Mars, his erogenous zones are likely his chest, stomach, and knees.
Capricorn could either make him want to be in control, or give up control. It really is a toss up with how he’s feeling. Although Obi-Wan has difficulty letting his walls down, the involvement of his Cancer Moon would probably make it a very emotional experience as well. Cancer/Virgo/Capricorn is a patient combination that wants a slow build. The best way I can describe Obi-Wan as a lover is very firm but gentle. A deliberate, loving undoing of himself and his partner. It may not seem like it, but getting intimate with someone is truly a baring of his soul, and even if he’s on top, he’s the one with the most vulnerability.

could you perhaps do a series on gender and astrology? i understand that there’s the masculine and feminine signs but i wanna hear the difference/similarities between the traits of xx sun boy/girl (ex pisces sun boy vs pisces sun girl) you know what i mean?
Hey there! 💚💚 Aaah this topic has been on my mind for a bit now!! 💚 Thank you for asking!! 💚💚
🚫long post🚫
Gendered Polarities: How to Break (+ more) ⬇️
I’ve been meaning to talk about it – essentially what I wanted to say is that the signs are ‘energy’ – and that energy isn’t necessarily gendered?
Growth, environment, reflection is a part of how that energy is used and transformed – kinda like how light isn’t gendered but the way it transforms as it goes through different mediums/medias– it’s reaction (processed) is different.
You can be a Pisces of any gender identity – and you’re capable of being a Full Pisces of the spectrums because you DO contain that full light spectrum 💚But the medium/media you go through – the growth, transformation and the way they are received societally (through a conditioned environment) – influenced how we use that energy (what we show/reflect/how the light is transformed/processed). 💚
The end goal here is that you can encompass the Pisces spectrum by being aware of yourself and understanding societal conditioning — how that transformed/is received by you, and how to work with the understanding of your position in order to realize the full energy (expansion below)
Kinda like--- how for some people – we might think ‘oh cancer boys are like this and cancer girls are like that’ – but that’s not necessarily true. Cancers are cancers, the energy is the same. What the cancer boy v cancer girl debate is stuck on is the different medium/media transformation of that energy – and how being unaware of that can harm more than help (the person and those around them as well) 💚
Which leads to noticing ‘oh they’re an undeveloped cancer person’ or ‘oh they’re developed’ – which is subjective in general, as well. Because perhaps development and under-development isn’t binary/black-or-white or segregated from each other. They aren’t mutually exclusive of each other
The goal is to not be completely self-aware/avoidance, but to be developing/working on it with consciousness to it. We’re essentially wanting to think of ourselves as not being undeveloped – perhaps we seem ‘woke’ on certain things, but essentially, we’re developing as a person.
Sometimes the problem gets more complicated, in some cases maybe there ARE people who are completely un-self-aware and is avoiding/compensating or repressing certain issues to do with the subject (expression of the issue can be different, which is where discrimination and misunderstanding can stem from) – and maybe perhaps they DO seem woke, but where does that come from?
That’s a little too much right now, the point of this is that we never truly rest, even when we ‘worked past’ something because it’s truly in the practice. Having to revise the topic and think about it again helps us come to term with our positioning.
We may want to be the full spectrum, but where we essentially stand – our nurture, our growth, our decision/choice and evolution ourselves is also filtered through our ‘position’ in this social conditioning.
It’s – kinda like privilege in a way? 💚We might not like to admit we are privileged, but we are. How we use and understand that privilege is important, and that’s our ‘position’ here. You can’t necessarily ‘throw away’ your privilege in most cases – certain privilege are in your race, class, ethnic and history – just your intersectionality and who you are. It’s as ingrained to you as knowing what you hate, knowing discrimination and seeing things that ‘aren’t right’ to you. It’s fighting with our position – having the understanding of our own privilege and what we want to do aligning. Just as being undeveloped (and knowing you are undeveloped) but wanting to be developed is.
It’s an on-going story because we’ll never really stop being ‘undeveloped’ (coming to terms with our ignorance/limitations)– being fully developed means we’ve encompassed the full spectrum. Even when we do – we’re only capable of taking actions in certain ways, and not all the ways. We’re humans, and not gods. And learning to live and work through/with what we have is important (thus, acceptance and blend between two energy – and understanding our position within it/how to use it) 💚
That was a lot on that. Phew sorry! 💚So in terms of polarity. Learning about ‘feminine’ and ‘masculine’ initially as ‘labels’ for polarity can be confusing. Particularly because they are gendered, and for everyone the sub-text gives confusing context clues (what the subject is actually about) and how we should approach the subject in general as well (because it’s not really.. explaining things, y know?)💚
Polarity doesn’t have to depend on ‘feminine’ or ‘masculine’ as defining factors/labels (which can be out-dated and uncomfortable ) – try ‘activeness’ or ‘receptive’ signs, or ‘hot’ or ‘cool’ if that helps? 💚
The whole point of this isn’t to bring attention AWAY from polarity and what it means (not like we can cut it down all together) – but to make it less bigotry and actually define what ‘polarity’ means (complementary dualism). Making It Make Sense in a way that we can USE it. Just like how cardinal, mutable and fixed are defined (that’s not perfect either but it doesn’t stem in heteronormality – or so from what I know?)
Narrowing in on what it is about the sign attributes helps with actually understanding why polarity exists and how we can actually define it.
(Lets be real, what does feminine and masculine even mean anyways when there’s no real quantifiable variables?)
Active and receptive polarity makes much more sense. Since ‘Active’ (fire/air) talks about reactivity, action, expanding, ‘above’ (depth/dimension) and ‘generation’ (heat, etc.) – strength, manifestation that is seen. Youth, energy, power (external).
Whilst ‘Receptive’ polarity talks about ‘below’ (depth/dimension) passivity/certain stability, ‘growth’, contracting, depth, transformation – inner growth and transformation of energy in a complementary way (internal).
Defining it in a way that suits the purpose – being more focused and aware of well – 1. how the social implication can impact and discriminate others and 2. how to make it more inclusive and actually useful to you (understand it and actually use it) – helps with not blending astrology and gender.
The two subjects– astrology and gender shouldn’t even be a thing that is tied to each other. BUT its an important thing for us talk about (which is why – never feel bad about sending this ask in) – the way the subject is used, the way we interact with it, define it and use it — the way our positioning and context clues (polarity), clearing that up for ourselves – is where the conversation came to be and why it’s important to talk about (and not just dismiss it because its still a conversation that should be conversed about instead of shying away or cutting it off without?? explanation?? sometimes, if they have the energy for it ofc.)
Astrology isn’t defined by gender. Nor is your gender defined by your astrological make up.
SO in conclusion to this long-winded, ultra drawn out answer (sorry ;;) — polarity exists, it could always be defined with different (imo better/more useful) labels. Pisces are pisces, but since we don’t live in vacuum space– our true goal is to reach Top Form Piscean in whatever gender we are.
The way I answer this question – there’s not much point in defining different environmental factors and no concrete point/motive/intentions that can be good in labelling other people based on their sign and gender. Just like the LGBT ask I did earlier– our experience are authentic to us and we have different intersectionality from each other.
Plus, there’s not just boy and girl but different spectrums of identities. I know you asked for a series – but with that I have no authority (knowing I shouldn’t) narrating communities I don’t exist in (I can’t represent the entirety of my community fully, nor can I express/narrate the narrative of others definitely)
Which is why I’m really glad for this ask?? 💚Because it’s very thought provoking, and I know it’s something that’s?? probably important to talk about?? 💚
But yeah– this is my take on it and I hope?? 💚💚This answer is good for you ;; 💚💚💚💚💚 Anyways, thank you so much for sending this in!! 💚 And being so nice, and sweet, and your message was clear (no worries, I hope this is a good answer) 💚💚

Lesson One: The Wheel of the Zodiac
So what is the zodiac?
Technically they're just constellations chilling around up there. Really. In astrology they're used like spices, think of the sign as the flavor of what's going on in the house. There's spicy aries, which is like a cajun blend. There's scorpio with a hint of licorice. And Libra with a balanced citrus sort of flavor. What? I know.
The Elements
So there is balance here. Four elements, earth, air, water, and fire. They interact with each other in different ways. So when you guys are shipping cancers and capricorns together, that's because they're complementary signs. They sit across from each other at the table. Taurus natives and cancers still get along, but scorpio is better. This is because taurus and scorpio are also sitting across from each other at the table. Generally speaking, earth and water signs are comfortable with each other. That's what we can grasp from this. So following this train of complimentary logic, Gemini and Sagittarius are a nice pair, because fire and air go together naturally. But you may wonder, why is it like this? Why is the Libra/Leo ship not setting sail? This is because we can divide it up even further. Within an elemental grouping, each sign still differs from each other. We divide that up into Cardinal, Mutable, and Fixed. So the divisions go like this:
Cardinal: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
Fixed: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
Mutable: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.
So basically if you stay in these groups with complimentary elements, it's all good. The signs in the elements also get along. Cardinal signs are enterprising, and ambitious. Fixed signs are stable, and strategic. And mutable signs are flexible and changing.
Earth signs like Taurus, Capricorn, and Virgo all get along with each other.
Air signs like Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius all chill and chat together.
And Fire signs like Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius all party with each other.
What happens when you put together signs that don't get along? Well one usually puts too much pressure on the other. The reason water and earth work together is because water signs emotionally feed earth signs, and earth signs give structure to water signs.
You see earth signs tend to be pretty rigid and strategic.
And water signs are very flowy and emotional.
Have you ever heard the saying fanning the flames? Most definatly that's what's going on with the air and fire duos as well. So when aries and libra come together, the two are egging each other on.
Air signs are extremely cerebral and curious.
And fire signs are very creative and ambitious.
So if you put fire sign with a water, the water smothers the fire, and the fire is usually frustrating to the water. Fire and earth, well, wild fires.
In the following descriptions, I will not be speaking as though I'm talking about a person. This lesson is not about sun signs. The reason why is because learning how the zodiac behaves only through the sun's influence is not good practice. Sure an aries sun will act as you would expect from an aries sun, punchy, independant, and this is true. But how would a person act if their mars was in aries? The same? No. Not quite. Because planetary placements are not quite the same, or you might already have it figured out. Every sign has its ruler, and mars happens to be the ruler of aries, so the aries vibe will come through more prominently than the sun could show. My below description is designed so that you can get a sense for each sign in the zodiac, that way you can come to filter it like light through each planet.
Now let's look at each individual Zodiac Constellation...
Aries
Here we have a cardinal fire sign, so immediately we know there's an innovating, ambitious, creative. Since it's the first sign in the zodiac, a planet may indicate being first here, hence innovation. Aries is a trend setter, because he just simply doesn't care what you think. He's an independant kind, he likes to do things his own way, and at his own pace, because this pace is fast. This may also indicate an impatient nature. This is where people get the idea that aries is an aggressive sign. I dont think hes so much aggressive, as he's actually just very adamant. As far as vibes go, he's a very excited sign, no, he's amped! His ruler is Mars, the planet of action. So when it comes down to it, aries is a doer, he wants to put his ideas into action. The angst is real! Anyone with an aries placement will feel a need to take action in that part of their life, and if they cannot it will manifest as an anxiety. Though most of the time aries is strong and brave, he can take ‘em!
Taurus
This is a fixed earth sign. Taurus loves all things stable and reliable. She is much the opposite of aries, she is very patient, and always stops to smell the flowers. Taurus has a reputation of being lazy, but it's not the case, she just wants to be certain, so she takes slow steps toward progress. She is ruled by venus, the planet of love and art, so it is certain that Taurus has an appreciation for things coming from the heart, things which are beautiful. She also has a deep appreciation for nature. When a planet is in taurus there is often a richness in it. This planet will want stability, but also beauties. Taurus is a beautiful lady walking in nature, she is able to find the beauty in everything.
Gemini
This is a mutable air sign, Gemini is a wiz kid. Like all air signs they enjoy thought. They're your younger sibling who can kick butt at trivia. How do they know so much? Gemini by nature knows a little about a lot of different subjects. A jack of all trades! That is their nature, being mutable. Gemini is at the library hitting the books at the library right now! They've got five books going at once. They want to string together all the little facts to make a complete picture. There is something hectic with them though, they may be a little scattered at times, which makes them hard to follow. This is the archetype of a scattered mind. Gemini is ruled by the planet mercury, which is the planet of communication and thought. This sign adds an air of playful curiosity to whatever it influences.
Cancer
This is the archetype of a mother, she just wants to nurture and be nurtured. She is a soft girl, who doesn't want to hurt anyone. She is deeply empathetic, if not a little overly emotional. Really, she is emotion. She is ruled by the moon, planet of emotion. So you see how deep this runs. Cancer is a fixed water sign: she likes her security, and can be upset when that security is threatened. Like many other water signs, she is very intuitive and emotional. Having a placement in cancer will bring a sensitivity to that area of life, and can indicate something having to do with a mother. Planets embraced by this energy will take on an emotional, intuitive, or nurturing theme, depending on house, and planets involved.
Leo
This sign is the king of the zodiac, and he's got some great hair. Leo is the sign of congeniality, he is either really enjoyable, or really formidable. He is spirited in his expression, and passionate about his ideals. He is ruled by the sun, so a leo sun is easy to spot, as the sun is most forthcoming in this position. He is a fixed sign, and so looks for security in his creative endeavors, and his interaction with others. Leo, like other fire signs is competitive and active. Having a placement in Leo will emphasize the creativity of that area, as well as a desire to be noticed by others. He is the guy at all the parties with the great smile who can talk to just about anyone with ease.
Virgo
I don't know why, but virgo can be a tricky sign for a lot of people. Virgo is a very wise lady, but very humble. She doesn't want to make anyone feel bad for not knowing something, as she knows she once was there too. She is ruled by mercury, so this stimulates a cognitive function in the sign, however she is an earth sign, so still very grounded in her nature. This is counteracted into a balance, as she is a mutable sign, creating a sort of flexibility in her. Having a placement in virgo will give that area of life a strategic function, an organized, and orderly nature. Virgo is that girl at the library everyday with beautiful eyes who is researching anatomy, and poetry, simultaneously. You want to talk to her, but sometimes she can come off a little cold.
Libra
Libra is more or less the opposite of Gemini: Gemini takes two sides in the extreme, and Libra takes the two and blends them together. There is a distinct need for harmony and balance with libra. They are a cardinal air sign, which means they strive for innovative ideas. But more so they want to organize and orchestrate. Like other air signs, libra delights in conversation, as well as intellectual pursuits. They love to have friends with whom they can share their ideas, and especially be shared with. Libra is a gentle sign that is very good at listening, they want to bridge the gap between two ways of thought. Libra like taurus is ruled by venus, which gives them a deep appreciation for beauty, especially from a social standpoint. Libra is that sweet person everyone knows, who speaks with everyone all the time, but makes you feel special to be their friend.
Sagittarius
He is the ultimate bro, this guy is the best to be around. He is always upbeat, always optimistic, and always great to have conversations with. He is ruled by jupiter, a planet of expansion, which means the area touched by sagittarius’ energy will be one of growth. He is known for his long distance travels, and philosophical conversations. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign, making him quite competitive, if not a little bit perfectionist. Like the other fire signs, he is very driven, and like other mutable signs, very flexible. Sagittarius is your favorite beat poet, traveling across the country, rolling with the punches. He loves to be active, and outside experiencing his life to the fullest. He is just in search of a good time.
Scorpio
Scorpio is a delicious and deep sign to have a placement in. Placements here will cause equal parts pain and enjoyment. This is the sign of secrets, of obsessions, of transformation and growth. She is a deep well with emotions buried within her. She is a fixed water sign ruled by Pluto, which is an explosive combination. Her fixed nature makes her secretive, and the fact that she is a water sign implies a great many emotions. Also intuition and matters of the occult. Pluto makes this a transformative sign, and these areas of life will have a transformative nature. Scorpio is the girl you see who never says anything, but the one time you spoke to her it changed everything. Scorpio by all means is a game changer.
Aquarius
People with strong aquarian energy are a lot of fun to be around. They're unique people who highly value their independence and freedom. They have strong ideals with which they are usually strongly attached to, but you can be certain that these ideals are unique and perfectly suited to them individually. They are deep thinkers as air signs, and you can be sure aquarius will come up with some new ideas. Aquarius wants to question things, and ultimately change the world. They can sometimes be slightly detached, and feel often like they're on the outside looking in on all the festivities. Aquarius is a fixed air sign, which is why they're solid in their ideals. And they are ruled by Uranus, the planet of innovation and progress. They have a strong urge to help others grow.
Capricorn
This is the archetype of the father. He is there to construct boundaries. He wants to form the native into a more solid and complete person. His energy at times can seem a little rigid, and constricting, but he is just doing this because there is something to be learned. He likely has a dry sense of humor and a very straight forward sort of essence. He is simplistic, and direct for an earth sign, capricorn is extremely practical. He is ruled by saturn, the teacher of lessons. He is a cardinal earth sign, which actually gives him more ambition as an earth sign. He is very traditional, and likely to want to build something solid from scratch. Capricorn is most definitely not afraid of hard work! Anywhere the energy of capricorn touches, it will be a practical field where the native may be very direct in their approach. Alternatively there may be something to learn.
Pisces
Pisces is a mirror. They are a little bit of all of the signs, and reflect whatever they are seeing. They are truly the most empathetic sign of the bunch because of this. They being a water sign, are very emotional and extremely intuitive. And you can see the mutable nature in their willingness to adapt to any situation. But the ruler of this sign is Neptune, the planet of imagination. So pisces is incredibly creative and imagination driven. This can lead them to have a sort of spacey outlook. There is a slight duality in them, as there is a pulling in two different directions. Pisces is the friend with sparkly eyes and big dreams. Anything that is touched by watery pisces might have an imaginative nature, or pull in its duality. It is all up to the native, and the area it is touching.

Transiting Ceres into Cancer
July 10 - September 24, 2017
Cancer is, as you might expect, a favorite place for Ceres to find herself. When we look at the selected celebrities with this placement, we notice two qualities about all of them: they’re attached to their moms; they’re amazing parents. (I would have to say my beloved Keith Richards is the only one who’s both - read his autobiography, Life (and no you don’t have to memorize it like I have), if you don’t believe me.)
The two main topics we associate with Ceres - parenting and food - will take a Cancerian quality for the rest of the summer. How this works out poorly, regarding our delightful offspring, is infantilization. We want to baby our babies. Ms M’s own two children, who are not only both legal adults but much taller than she is, will not put up with this treatment. Unless they’re ailing - then, it’s all “Mommy let’s snuggle.” The moral of the story is, let THEM come to YOU for coddling.
You may also find yourself going all great-grandparent on them and wanting to MAKE them things. Banana bread, a sweater, bookshelves - anything Ma or Pa Ingalls would have done for their girls! Again, be sure you’re truly meeting their needs, not your need to take care of them. (Or you could donate your creations to charity, as Ms M does with some of her yarn projects.)
Ceres is connected with horticulture, and the gardeners among us are going to enjoy this transit. (Probably.) I’m convinced this is going to be a hot summer, when all is said and done, and that means the green thumbs will need to be extra vigilant about their crops. Ceres in Cancer will support that. Especially toward the end of the period, you might consider teaching other people about basic gardening. One means of nurturance is to pass the knowledge on, you know.
Whatever we consider “traditional” food, we’ll want to eat. We may resurrect some of grandma’s recipes, for example. We may also indulge in emotional overeating if we’re upset about something; remember that Ceres is also the dwarf planet of eating disorders. My intuition about this is that we should cultivate our eating response, into chowing down on the healthiest foods we can afford - and that the more stressed out we are, the more pristine our diets need to be.
Celebrities with Ceres in Cancer: KEITH RICHARDS, Robert Plant, Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, Tom Cruise, Elvis Presley, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Tom Hiddleston, Lana Del Rey, Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart, Jim Morrison, Charlie Chaplin, Ryan Gosling, Jake Gyllenhaal, Clint Eastwood, Ellen Degeneres, Alicia Keys, Colin Farrell, Nicola Tesla, Sophia Loren, Frida Kahlo, Gordon Ramsay, Gary Oldman, Diana Ross
Monday, July 24, Juno Rx/Capricorn opposite Ceres/Cancer, 5:57
This represents a choice, or perhaps confrontation, between nurturing and relating. The obvious roles would be Parent vs. Spouse. We could feel pushed into an either/or feeling about the two roles, when what we need to do is find some way to blend them, or take turns. The Moon (in Leo) will aggravate this, in the sense of having a pebble in your shoe, or an itch in an unseemly place; we may feel very “dramatic” about our plight and blow it all out of proportion.
Planets/Points affected lie between 4:57 and 6:57 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 19:57 and 21:57 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*.
Wednesday, August 2, Pallas/Taurus sextile Ceres/Cancer, 9:25
This can indicate an opportunity for some “home improvement” activity. Ceres wants that impregnable nest, and Pallas has all kinds of ideas about how to fortify it. There’s also a “back to school” feel to this sextile, seeing how these Ladies are concerned with physical (Ceres) and mental (Pallas) progeny.
Planets/Points affected lie between 8:26 and 10:26 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Saturday, August 11, Neptune Rx/Pisces trine Ceres/Cancer, 13:29; Venus/Cancer conjunct Ceres/Cancer, 13:31
1 Corinthians 13, 4-7: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not rejoice in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Planets/Points affected lie between 12:29 and 14:31 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Monday, August 21, Pluto Rx/Capricorn opposite Ceres/Cancer, 17:12
Here we have the Persephone myth (with the important distinction that it’s the Roman god vs. the Greek goddess). I think we should quiet the two control freaks and let Persephone decide for herself!
Planets/Points affected lie between 16:12 and 18:12 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 1:12 and 3:12 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Thursday, August 31, Vesta/Virgo sextile Ceres/Cancer, 21:11
Very humble, and (again) a strong back-to-school vibe. We’re definitely thinking about that educational routine, trying to give the kiddos the most supportive environment we can manage. In fact, finding “the most supportive environment” will be a good thing for all of us, regardless of parental status. The Moon in Capricorn flows with Vesta but opposes Ceres; try to keep from going all authoritarian about it.
Planets/Points affected lie between 20:11 and 22:11 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Sunday, September 3, Jupiter/Libra square Ceres/Cancer, 22:36 Wednesday, September 6, Eris Rx/Aries square Ceres/Cancer, 23:40
I can’t help but see this as a t-square, as Jupiter is “close enough” to opposition to Eris (exact on September 9). We overcompensate for the pains of being rejected and ignored for too long, or for being smothered and never allowed to grow up. We need to behave like mature, responsible adults if we want to navigate this successfully. On September 5, the Moon (in Pisces) will be semi-square Eris and sesqui-quad both Ceres and Jupiter; perhaps there’s some passive-aggression in the guise of being slippery and untruthful. And over September 8/9, the Moon in over-reacting, trigger-happy Aries will set it all off again.
Planets/Points affected lie between 21:36 and 24:40 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 6:36 and 9:40 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Thursday, September 14, Chiron Rx/Pisces trine Ceres/Cancer, 26:44
Another nice, sweet trine. The Moon will be conjunct Ceres, too, helping us feel the healing energy. Take care of yourself, and anybody else hanging around.
Planets/Points affected lie between 25:44 and 27:44 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Saturday, September 17, Uranus Rx/Aries square Ceres/Cancer, 27:43
Conflicts and frustrations from the battling urges of familial closeness and personal freedom. Maybe this is Persephone (who is after all a teenager) telling Mom to eff off and stop smothering her! We have to build in the inevitability and necessity of growth and change into our nurturing styles.
Planets/Points affected lie between 26:44 and 28:44 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*; and between 11:44 and 13:44 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Thursday, September 21, Sun/Virgo sextile Ceres/Cancer, 29:12
I saw this and thought, what a nice, pleasant “harvest” feeling, less than 24 hours before the official beginning of Mabon! Seriously - I have “Come, Ye Thankful People Come” going through my head this very minute. We need to enter Autumn/Spring with self-acceptance and willingness to work hard.
Planets/Points affected lie between 28:12 and 29:59 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
