This is a really good video, I love the analogy in it, though I want to add another point that might not be relevant to the YouTubers quitting, but is to me.
It can really suck when the project you are passionate about and really want to make is ignored.
Like I’m not normally one to whine about numbers, but it is demotivating when I pour everything into something I’m super passionate about only for no one to care. It’s part of the reason I haven’t worked much on Xenoblade 3’s DLC essay despite somewhat promising it.
The highlight videos are some of my favorite pieces of content I’ve ever made, but they took weeks of work keyframing, adjusting audio, making assets only to get barely any views.
I still have old projects lying around for highlights of Ori and Untitled Goose Game I likely will never finish.
My LP of SA1 had so much info compiled and I did a lot to make that work, but it just didn’t kick off. I was hopeful something fun like Untitled Goose Game would catch the eye of my regular audience and maybe get them interested in my gaming content, but it didn’t. I did more casual and edited playthroughs of things like Sonic Frontiers and The Murder of Sonic, videos I think are very good and honestly are what I enjoy making the most at the moment, but same result.
I actually have a roughcut project that's essentially a blind Future Redeemed playthrough. I recorded it for notes and eventual essay footage, although polishing it for upload is tempting, I don't know if it's worth the effort.
I understand I’ve always been a variety channel with a focus on KinzTube, so interest in gaming topics isn’t going to be as high, but even when I made another Signature Island episode, what people kept saying they wanted, it didn’t perform as well as a low-effort video talking about a movie that was also unrelated to Webkinz.
It took almost 6 months to break 1,000 views compared to the 45 days of an off-the-cuff video which says nothing valuable.
I know no matter how much effort I put into a video, a plush collection or unboxing will always be more popular. It sucks because collections are very repetitive to make and I’m too broke to constantly be buying Webkinz only to earn less on a video than the package cost.
It’s also tiring because Webkinz is a shrinking brand, so if I did stick to just making KinzTube videos, my channel would die anyways.
Stuff like this does eat away at your motivation. It's rough when the only person who values your work is you. I don’t know if that was the case for all the people quitting, but I know it’s draining me.
#mirror post from twitter#but yeah something that's been on my chest since...god i made that last si episode#maybe i'll make this into a talking video i'm not sure right now#like i said it's been something on the back burner for awhile#Youtube

🥇 Comment Hall of Fame 🥇
I really like when people comment. What better way to encourage interaction than by rewarding it? Here's a running list of some of my favorite comments, the ones that made me laugh, the ones that made me cry, the ones that kept me going. I love all the comments I get but these are just some of my faves from AO3, Tumblr, and Wattpad. You guys are all the best. 💛
"This series has the same equivalence to the mini episode cartoons like teen titans go but like BETTER I LOVE THIS SO MUCH" - @/thatboyisagunn · I remember watching the OG Teen Titans as a kid, so I really loved this comment. Plus, it sort of gave me the idea to do like one-shots as 'mini episodes'.
"“…morally ambiguous, sarcastic, charming brunette“ I know this is supposed to be referring to Flynn Rider, but it sounds an awful lot like Bucky to me. Loved this whole story! I was smiling the whole way through." - @/bookish_irish_dancer ·I laughed for an hour when this lovely commenter said this, because, yes, that is absolutely what I was going for.
"T Swizzle is a national treasure and I will fight to the death for her." @/aswiftlytiltinguniverse ·I will too. Okay, maybe not to the death, but I will post a lot of fics with TS references.
"I GODDAMN LOVE THIS SONG DUDE. THE ANGST, THE PAIN, THE CONFUSION AND GODDAMN JOHN I HATE YOU. BARNES I LOVE YOU AND SAMUEL YOU BIG BROTHER. I'm LOVING this Tay Swift-ness author." @toomanyfanficsbruh ·I like inciting John Walker hate. Especially all caps hate. This just made me laugh so hard tbh.
"Sis, as much as i love your stories and this story.. THIS WAS A PUNCH TO THE GUT, WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS *VIRTUALLY PUKES BECAUSE YEAH, I HAVE A FULL STOMACH RN* (but whatever i still love you uwu😊🤣😭🤗)" @/youraveragehotmessofabisexual ·The "why would you do something like this" really had me cheesy grinning like I know I just hurt my entire audience, but wasn't it fun?
"“LeTs NoT gEt EmOtIoNaL” my ass. I’m emotional. Let me emote 😭" @/BuckySimp101 ·This comment made me emote. And keep going with the GrumpyxSunshine series after Two Sides of The Same Coin.
"I challenge you to a duel anonymityisfun. You hear me duel, I hope you have a blood donner cos you're gonna need it ( I'm hating where this is going but loving your update speed. Keep it up )( side note I moved to mars so you're going to have to come here for out duel. )" @i-wanna-burn-the-world ·I can say with absolute certainty that I'd never been challenged to a duel before this comment. It's happened a few times since then to be honest.
"THIS MADE ME CRY AND I DONT MEAN JUST TEARED UP I MEAN I FUCKING CRIED MAN" @/Jwritesstuff ·If you couldn't tell, I really love comments that yell at me about what I made people feel. I love it.
"WHY WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO US IM LITERALLY CRYING RIGHT NOW WHY OH GOD WHY ARE THEY TREATING HER LIKE HOW HYDRA TREATED WINTER SOLDIER 😭😭😭 THEY DONT EVEN LET HER TAKE HER BELONGINGS ITS LIKE SHES NOT EVEN HUMAN THE WAY THEYRE TREATING HER OH GOD YOU'RE PAYING MY THERAPY 😭😭😭😭 THE TITLE ITSELF GOT ME HOLDING MY SEAT LIKE WDYM LAST KISS" @/Marquiserose ·This comment always makes me cheesy grin. I love the enthusiasm.
"SAM YOU BITCH! YOU CANT JUST LEAVE US! RULE NUMBER ONE!!!" @/any_ways ·Now, you guys didn't know what I knew, but the visceral reaction everyone had to Sam at the end of Two Sides of The Same Coin was *chef's kiss*
"When I gave this story my heart it was under the impression that you wouldn’t tear it out of my chest and stomp on it" @/HopeMAnd21 ·I know it sounds silly, but I like knowing that I can make people feel things. That the words I write can actually impact a person warms my little heart.
"I always have no feedback, criticism or words, but…I once again am lost. This whole this has twist and turns, one right after the other. I really don’t know what to say. This should be a mini book that I can hold in my hands and it has that little penguin on the spine, and anonymityisfun written under the title. I’m going to cherish this. When I’m bored and want twists and turns and sorrow, this is what I’ll read. You should be very proud!" @/any_ways ·Listen, I am, by no stretch of the imagination, a crier, but this comment made me cry. Being published, being able to call myself an author, even the idea of ever getting to put something out into the world, it's been my dream since I was a kid. Ugh, it just made my heart swell.
"you really did take all these characters and made them your own. from all the fanfictions i've read, your version of marvel characters are by far my favourite. i also feel very happy seeing this full circle moment because i still remember very vividly how sad i felt when i read how alone sunshine was. thank you for this series and i hope this is not the end!!" @/khirtelt ·This felt so important because, while legally I own very little rights to these characters, they do very much feel like my characters and my stories. They all have little pieces of me, both good and bad, and I'm very proud of the work I've put into these stories.
"110% babygirlification of Bucky Barnes" @/thesweetestheart ·I do not mind being attributed to the continued babygirlification of Bucky Barnes. It's now my life goal.
"I was thinking of you when the Taylor swift album dropped I HOPE U LOVED IT 🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾 Also another Drabble masterpiece as PER USUAL" @buckbuckyoongs ·When you think Taylor Swift, I hope you think of me.
"I need a friend that loves me as much as Sam and Sunny love each other... AHEM, I SAID I NEED A FRIEND THAT LOVES ME AS MUCH AS SAM AND SUNNY LOVE EACH OTHER. please? (Now I just sit and wait until someone starts talking to me... I'm gonna be here for a while.)" @i-wanna-burn-the-world ·We all need a friendship like Sam and Sunshine.
"i ADORE THIS. I LOVE ITI WOUL KILL AND DIE FOR THIS. YOURE AMAZING AND I APRECIATE YOU POSTING YOUR WRITING, SO MUCH. I LITERALLY WIND DOWN AT NIGHT WITH YOUR STORIES-" @/ValerieQ "TYSM💜 AND OFC YOURE LITERALLY A GODDESS I DONT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND-" @/ValerieQ ·This was all one comment thread and when I tell you, I was having a rough go of it, I needed this. You all hype me up so much, but this comment just made my heart melt. I'm so glad that my silly little stories are a place you guys can go to unwind and hang out. I love that so much.
"another beautiful work from @/anonymityisfunwriter and i can’t tell if i love or resent them for the pain they put me through. every. time." @mediocre-daydreams ·I wonder if they decided if they love me or they resent me yet. Either way, I'm glad I make you guys feel all the feelings. It's my goal.
"Binged the shit out of this and fell in love. I cried, I weeped, my heart swelled with so much love for these two. Honestly this series felt like a hot bowl of homemade soup on a cold day." @kjdara ·"A hot bowl of homemade soup on a cold day" Please, the way that made me choke up. One of the best, sweetest comments I've ever gotten.
"I found the sound on TT literally just scrolling through and screamed "Bucky don't leave her! She's your sunshine"... Needless to say I have a meeting with the boss man about time theft" @/MandaRinne ·The time theft part made me laugh, and also worry, but I'll take it as a good thing you guys think of the Grumpy x Sunshine series while scrolling TikTok.
"I'm glad they made up and love love the twist at the end. Because it truly signifies that sunshine is a fighter. And I love sunshine and I try to strive towards adopting the better parts of her personality into mine everyday. Fr." @/youraveragehotmessofabisexual -This, and I'm not even exaggerating, left me a little speechless. It will never not blow my mind that anyone actually cares about anything I've written.
I'll be adding to this every now and then. I just wanted to do this to show my appreciation to everyone who's supported me, it's the greatest feeling in the world. If you're here, if you've ever left comment, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I love you all so much. 💛
And please, take this as a sign to show support to other amazing creators and authors, comments, reblogs, kudos, it makes a world of a difference. 💛
And, if for whatever reason, you're on this list and don't want to be, just let me know and I'll take it down. 💛

Part 1.
Hannah stirred, stretching a little. She couldn’t feel Simon at the end of the bed by her feet. Expecting him to be behind her, tucked into the crook of her back as he sometimes did, she turned giving a small start as it wasn’t Simon behind her but Ari, the pup in question curled around his head. Hannah blinked again, Ari hadn’t been there when she had gone to sleep. There had been too many people out late last night and Sammy was still watching her like a hawk after her illness. She lay still, taking a few minutes to drink him in as he slept. His hair was falling slightly over his forehead, the moonlight falling onto his face highlighting his nose and bearded cheek a little where his eyelashes lay flush to his skin. Smiling, she poked Simon to get him to move.
“Sorry Si, but he’s my man. Move.”
Simon gave a little whine of protest but obeyed, getting up to move. But despite Hannah’s efforts to keep as quiet as possible, the noise and movement had woken Ari up. He stretched his limbs out, and then gave a little sigh as Hannah nuzzled closer, kissing his jaw line.
“You have a nightmare Lobo?” she asked softly.
“Yeah about Dogzilla digging his paws into my eye sockets.” Ari mumbled, as he could feel Simon flop down at the end of the bed. Hannah chuckled as he reached out, eyes still closed, one arm sliding underneath her neck, the other gently laying against her hip where it slid up her cami top, palm warm against her skin.
“What are you doing here Ari?” he heard her ask.
“Sleeping?” The inflection in his voice made it sound like a question. He felt her shift again, her fingers reaching up and brushing through his beard. He leaned into her touch just like Simon did when he was scratching his ears.
“You know you could have just asked right?” she said gently “You didn’t need to sneak in in the middle of the night.”
“I didn’t sneak in…”
“Ok, whatever you say” she laughed.
Ari pouted a little “I just wanted to surprise you after midnight.” He cracked his eyes open and smiled at her.
She frowned “Midnight? What-“ and then it dawned on her. If it was after midnight, it was her birthday. Her eyes widen a little and Ari smiled and gave a little nod.
“Happy birthday Firefly.” He whispered.
Hannah felt herself welling up “Did you…” She choked a little “Did you just sneak in here to…”
Ari grinned, “I wanted to be the first person to wish you happy birthday.”
Hannah spluttered a laugh “You soft bastard.” She licked her lips and looked at him, almost shyly “Thanks Mi Lobo.”
A reached up to gently lay his palm against her cheek, thumb skating her cheekbone “You’re welcome. I had 8 missed birthdays to make up for. We’ve come a long way since that party on your 21st”
“1385 miles give or take…that is if you don’t count all the other stuff in between.” She grinned and Ari shook his head and let out a sigh.
“Don’t be a smart ass firefly. I was trying to be romantic.”
“Romance is overrated…” Hannah grinned, pushing closer to him and sliding her leg between both his, arching an eyebrow as she realised he was naked. His fingers flexed on her hip and he mimicked her expression.
“Is that so?” he teased. She nodded, her hand sliding up his arm.
“Yup.” She popped the p.
“Oh, well, I guess I’ll just go then…” Ari smirked, his face dipping towards hers.
“Don’t think so lobo…you’re my birthday gift.” Her hand slid back down his arms and she dipped it under the covers, and round to grab at his bare ass. “Although I’m pretty pissed I don’t get to unwrap it. Couldn’t you have worn a big red bow or something?”
“Ungrateful brat.” Ari mumbled as his lips press to hers. It wasn’t long before their bodies were melded together and soft breathy moans and gasps filled the air. Ari took his time, lavishing affection on his girl, his pace soft and slow right to the end. Exhausted and sated they fell back asleep, cuddled together, Ari’s arms wrapped around Hannah, her head tucked under his chin pressed into his chest.
She must have moved during the night as when Ari woke her back was pressed to his chest, his face buried into her hair. Keeping his eyes closed, he snuggled in closer and she stirred a little, her hand moving and laying over his which was splayed on her stomach.
“Morning” Hannah spoke little groggily and he kissed her neck.
“Morning baby.” He greeted her.
The two of them lay there, Hannah’s fingers playing gently with his when voices drifted through the lattice covers over the window. Hannah stilled and Ari let out a sigh.
Fucking tourists…fucking people…damned it!
“Hannah…” he started to suggest that he needed to go before any of the team started milling about but she cut him off.
“I’m done Ari.”
“What?” Ari asked, his voice a whisper as for a split second he thought she meant with him. But as she turned to face him, he saw the expression on her face and knew what she was going to say before she said it.
“Sneaking around.” She shook her head “I’m done.”
Ari looked at her as the magnitude of what she had just said sunk in “You sure you wanna do this today?”
“Why?” she countered “Don’t you?”
“If it was up to me we would have come clean the day after our first night Firefly.” Ari brushed her hair behind her ear “But it’s your birthday. Your 30th…I don’t want it ruined by Sammy’s inevitable melt down.”
“Why does he have to be such a pain in the ass?” Hannah rolled her eyes and moved out of Ari’s arms. She climbed out of bed, pulling on her cami and sleep shorts as Ari sighed.
“He’s being a big brother.” He said, still feeling the need to defend his best friend. He watched Hannah for a moment as she grabbed a hair tie and pulled her hair up into a messy ponytail.
“Ok.” She turned to Ari, decision made. “Tomorrow. We tell him tomorrow. Then he has just over a week to chill the fuck out before the next mission.”
Ari nodded “Ok.”
Hannah smiled as Ari kicked the covers off himself, leaving them tangled by her feet. Simon gave a start and started to scramble out of them, glaring a Ari as he dropped to the floor shaking. Hanna smirked as she looked from Simon to Ari, biting her lip.
“Stop it.” He shook his head with a grin “I need to go…preferably without a boner because of the fact that I’m imagining the filthy thoughts you’re having right now.”
She grinned as he picked up his shorts, and slipped them on. He grabbed his shirt off the floor and she walked over to give him a quick kiss.
“See you at breakfast.” He smiled against her mouth. But Hannah was clearly in a playful mood, and it was hard not to get caught in it. She wrapped her arms round his neck and kept placing lingering pecks on his lips as he backed to the door, the pair of them giggling. “Firefly…” Ari laughed, scrabbling behind him for the door handle “Let me go.”
“It’s my birthday…” she pouted.
“I’m well aware of that…” he eventually found the door handle and pushed it down, moving slightly as he pulled it inwards, feeling it banging against his back, the warm breeze fluttering into the room. “And seeing as you’ve been a good girl, I’ll make sure your presents are waiting at…”
He trailed off as Hannah’s eyes widened and she took a deep breath, her face rearranged in shock and horror and Ari stilled, his face inches from hers as he heard Sammy’s voice.
“Oh fuck, no…just…”
Ari wheeled around so fast that he almost lost his balance, and he stared at Sammy who wore an expression as dark as thunder.
“What the fuck man?” Sammy shoved Ari in the chest “Tell me this isn’t what it looks like!”
“Sammy, I-“ Ari was cut off by Sammy’s fist connecting with his jaw. The forced of the punch sent him sprawling back into the room and he stumbled a little as Hannah gave a yell.
“Sammy!! What the fuck!” She turned to Ari, who had just regained his balance and was straightening up, his hand wrapped around his jaw, blinking furiously. Hannah’s hand gently moved to his arms and he shook his head
“I’m fine.” He mumbled wiping at the trickle of blood seeping from his split lip. She wheeled round to her brother who was stalking into the room.
“You fucking bastard, Ari! After everything….”
“That’s ENOUGH Sam!” Hannah’s voice was loud “And yes, this is EXACTLY what it looks like.”
Sammy fell silent, the only sound in the hut now was Simon’s growling as he positioned himself next to Hannah who was stood in between Ari and Sam, her face furious as she stared down her brother. Eventually Sammy made an angry noise through his nose and she took a deep breath, turning to Ari.
“Can you leave us Ari?”
Ari frowned, because that was the last thing he wanted to do, “Han, I…”
“Please Lobo.” Her eyes locked onto his and he sighed.
“Ok.” He pulled on his T-shirt and headed to the door, Sammy’s eyes following him as he walked. Just as he was about to leave through the door, Sammy couldn’t resist one final shot.
“What is it with you huh?” he demanded “Why can’t you ever fucking say no to her? You’ve never fucking been able to resist have you?”
Ari stopped, grinding his teeth together and turned to face Sammy “I wouldn’t have ever been in a position where I had to if it hadn’t been for you and Andy in the first place.
“Is this why you brought her here?” Sammy continued, fury clouding his entire face “Thinking you’d get her out to Africa and worm your way back into her fucking affections?”
“Keep going Sammy! Go on.” Ari’s voice was low, almost a growl “Keep fucking pushing me and I swear to God-“
“Ari!” Hannah’s voice cut over his, her tone stern “Just go.”
With one last glare at Sammy he did was he was asked. Once Ari was gone, Hannah rounded on her brother. “You done with you little outburst Sammy, or you wanna say fuck a few more times?” she fumed at him.
“Done?” Sammy scoffed “I aint even started yet Hannah! I-“
“Save it Sammy. I don’t wanna hear a single word you have to say.” Hannah cut him off “Not this time. You’re gonna listen to me for a change.” Sammy looked at her, his mouth snapping shut, eyes blazing. “I’m done with you babying me. I’m 30 today for crying out loud so I’m pretty sure I get a say in what I want and how I want it.” She pointed at him “And I’m not letting anyone, not even you get in my way and decide to me. You got it?” she took a breath “If I’m making a mistake only time will tell, but it will be MY mistake, not your fucking manipulation. And if I’m right then good for me.”
Sammy remained silent, his breathing deep. Hannah could tell he was itching to say something but he didn’t so she continued, swallowing slightly before she spoke again.
“Get yourself together and wish me happy birthday which is what you were obviously here to do, being a good big brother and all, and then go and apologise to Ari for being an utter prick. Again.”
At that point Simon gave a bark, punctuating her last sentence perfectly and Sammy frowned “I’m not apologising to that asshole!”
Hannah groaned “Yes, you are. Because that asshole is your best friend.”
“Best friends don’t fuck their best friend’s sisters!!”
“Well, breaking news Sammy, he has. Quite a lot actually.” Sammy growled a little as she shrugged “But if that’s the way you wanna play it, should I tell Rachel to stop fucking my brother? Should I go out there and slap her on her face?”
Hannah could tell from the look on her brother’s face she’d surprised him, a fact that was backed up when he spoke, his voice stuttering “That’s…how do you…” he stopped and shook his head “You know what, it doesn’t matter, it’s irrelevant as it is completely different.”
Hannah gave a derisive laugh and folded her arms “Why is it different? Care to explain Sammy?
Sammy opened his mouth and shut it again. “You just proved my point Sammy.” Hannah sighed and shook her head. “Look, I love you, you’re my brother, but I love him too.”
At that Sammy’s eyes widened and Hannah was pretty sure hers did at well as she’d just admitted that out loud.
“You love him?” Sammy looked at her, blinking.
“Yeah.” She swallowed and took a breath, “We’re not fooling around Sammy if that’s what you think. This is serious, for both of us. We’re not the same two people you messed with nine years ago so if you fuck this up for me again I swear to god I’ll never forgive you. Not this time.”
Sammy stared at her for a moment, before he made an angry noise in his throat and stormed from the hut, slamming the door behind him.
Max and Jake were walking down the beach towards the main building when they saw Sammy storm out of Hannah’s hut and head the opposite way of the resort towards Ari’s, the expression on his face was alarming to say the least.
"What the fuck is that about?" Jake asked confused.
Max was about to reply he had no idea when he suddenly realised what may be going on.
"Ah shit. ANGELA!!!!!" he yelled as he nudged Jake and the two of them set off at a sprint to Ari’s hut.
“We have a situation with Liam and Guy!" he shot over his shoulder at Rachel when she opened her hut's door, alerted by the rumble.
When they saw Sammy barge open the door, they picked up the pace, reaching the hut just as Sammy lunged at Ari again. "You son of a bitch!" he yelled at him once more as he went to throw another punch him, but his time Ari was ready. He anticipated Sammy’s attempt and thus was able to dodge it and gripped Sam's arm, pinning it up his back. Sammy jerked free, his anger propelling him, and went for Ari again. Only this time Ari lunged forward too, he had lost it.
Jake saw Ari’s contorted face and grabbed hold of Sammy as Max stepped in between them, placing one hand on Ari's chest.
"Say that again. Come on, Sammy!" Ari irked him.
"You stupid, cocky bastard." Sammy spat, trying to wriggle out of Jake's hold. "I'm gonna punch your fucking face till my hand bleeds."
"Sammy, chill man." Jake, who was having a hard time trying to hold Sammy, advised.
"Chill, chill? How can I chill when he’s fucking my sister?" Sammy growled.
The entire place fell quiet. Jake frowned and looked at Sammy, then to Ari, who took a deep breath, and then to Max who looked back at him. The four men were snapped from the thoughts whirling in their minds when a voice could be heard from the doorway.
“Or maybe your sister is fucking him?”
Everyone turned to see Hannah stood in the entrance, arms folded, with Rachel by her side.
Sammy took advantage of the general commotion and shrugged out of Jake’s hold. Max looked at Ari and he held his hands up, signalling he would behave.
"Shut up Hannah." Sammy groaned, rounding on her.
"Hey, don’t talk to her like that." Ari warned him.
Sammy gave a sarcastic laugh before glaring at Ari "Oh, that is so typical of you, isn’t it? Jumping in, playing the goddamned gentleman."
Simon started to bark as Ari and Sammy began their verbal bickering again until Rachel cut in loudly as she clocked the expression on Hannah’s face.
"Ok, that’s enough!"
Everyone looked at her, and she nodded almost imperceptibly in Hannah’s direction but enough for Ari to glance at her and see, to his horror, she now had tears in her eyes. Hannah shook her head and, feeling all his teammates’ eyes on her, looked at the floor before she turned to Sammy and then at Ari taking a deep breath and looking away again.
“Happy fucking birthday to me.”
At that, Sammy dropped his head as Ari pushed past, making no attempt to stop him. Though he was still dying to beat the hell out of his so called best friend, the sight of his sister crying had made him feel really guilty.
Ari ignored everyone's stares and pulled Hannah into his arms. "Hey firefly, it’s ok…" his hand gently resting on her head as she pushed her face into his chest "Don’t cry, please. I’m sorry."
As he apologised to her his eyes fell on Sammy and shot the man a look. They were not important here, what was important however, was the woman in his arms. Her damned 30th birthday and they were fighting like a couple of school kids. Sammy swallowed and looked at the floor taking a deep breath.
"Sorry Han."
Hannah pulled back a little and nodded, Ari cupped her face, his thumbs wiping her tears. "You ok?" he asked softly.
She nodded again but she was not smiling. It wasn't fair and the two most important men in her life were to blame Ari thought, as he dropped his hands and turned to Sammy, one hand resting on the lower part of Hannah’s back.
Sammy, whose eyes were fixed on Ari's hand, opened his mouth to say something, but Ari spoke first.
"Look, I’m sorry you had to find out like this. We were gonna tell you…"
"Sure you were." Sammy scoffed.
"We were Sammy. Ari wanted to tell you straight away but I was scared of how you would react. Clearly with good reason." Hannah confirmed, her voice still shaky from having cried.
Sammy sighed and chuckled bitterly. "You know, now a lot of things are starting to make sense."
Max and Rachel shared a knowing glance. Jake frowned at them and then he opened his eyes wide. "Did you two know?" he asked looking at them.
Rachel sighed as she knew she was going to be in trouble with Sammy but it was not like she could deny it so she nodded.
Max made a noise and wrinkled his nose. "I guessed."
Sammy glared at Rachel, then at Max. “Did everyone know but me?"
"I didn’t." Jake spoke, somewhat pissed.
Sammy’s eyes moved to Simon who had now jumped up, his paws on Hannah’s thigh as she reached down, scratching his ears. "Even the fucking dog knew."
Jake frowned at Sammy's comment. "What…you…oh shiiit, he fucked my leg…man that’s…"
"Shut up, Jake." Ari said sternly.
"This isn’t happening." Sammy groaned.
Rachel took a deep breath before intervening again. "Ok, Max and Jake go supervise the breakfasts for the guests. Some of them might have already shown up, see they need anything." She then turned to Sammy. "You come with me, let's see if your hand needs patching up." And before Sammy could protest she looked at Hannah, nodding towards Ari. "You better take care of that split lip."
"It’s fine." Ari shook his head.
"I didn’t hit him that hard." Sammy scoffed. "You hit him, that’s all that matters." Rachel stated, cutting any more potential bickering as she shoved Sammy in the back towards the door.
"And my hand is fine, I’m a doctor, I know."
"Well there are clearly a lot of things you don’t know." She couldn’t stop herself from jabbing at him, but his bratty comments had her on edge too. Sammy stopped and glared at her. "Sorry, that was uncalled for." she apologised sincerely.
The two of them stood, staring at one another and Rachel nodded towards Ari, almost as if Sammy was a child being told by his mother he had to apologise. But just like a small child would he refused and simply turned and left. Rachel shot them both an exasperated look and headed off after him, closing the door.
Hannah sighed and Ari turned to her, his hands on her hips. "Don’t worry baby, he’ll have to come round sooner or later, coz I’m not going anywhere."
"He might, with any luck." she groaned
"You don’t mean that Han."
Hannah sighed. "No, you’re right, I’m just….I don’t know Ari, I’m angry and upset and…"
"Hey, hey come on…" he comforted her, throwing his arms around her again and kissing her head. They stayed still for a while, his hand rubbing at her back before she eventually moved and looked up at him.
"Does your face hurt? Do you want me to patch you up?"
Ari shook his head. "It’s ok, I’ve had worse. Now, let’s get you a big ass birthday breakfast. You’re getting old, Firefly." he teased her.
She snorted. "I’ll never be as old as you, mi lobo."
"Hey…" he said, pouting a little as he connected his hands round the bottom of her back, pulling her closer. "I think I’m pretty spry for my age, don’t you agree?" he asked, giving her a wink.
She laughed, her hands sliding up his chest, linking round his neck. "That’s one word for it."
"And there it is, that gorgeous laugh." Ari smiled and leaned down to give her a soft kiss. "Come on, let’s go. And I’m warning you, I fully intend on sitting next to my girl."
At that Hannah couldn't help but beam at him. "About damned time." Ari took her hand in his and led her out of the hut. For the first time they walked up the sand, publicly, with their fingers laced together and Ari could swear it felt good, it felt more than good actually.
When they arrived at the breakfast table everyone was waiting for them and Rachel had lit a birthday candle on a cinnamon bun.
"There she is, happy birthday!”
Max grinned and started singing, as did Jake and Sammy, some of the guests joining in singing and clapping from their tables. Ari stole a quick look at his best friend, whose eyes flickered to him and gave him a filthy look, before they moved back to Hannah. Ari understood that instantly to mean that this was simply a temporary truce for Hannah’s sake, but at that point he didn’t care. All he was bothered about was Hannah being able to enjoy her day.
"Oh my god this is so embarrassing." she said as she blushed and tried to cover her face with the hand that Ari wasn't holding.
Max grinned. "Yup."
Simon, not at all amused at the lack of attention he was suffering that day, let out a whine and pawed at Ari’s leg. He looked down at him, releasing Hannah’s hand. “You hungry pal?” Simon wagged his tail in response. “I’ll just go feed him.” he offered and Hannah smiled at him as he headed off. She turned and shyly thanked everyone, sitting at her usual spot before she poured herself some coffee.
When Ari returned he dropped into the seat next to her, noticing it had been left empty, most likely on purpose. He reached for a pastry and leaned back, munching it, his right arm laying across the back rest of Hannah’s chair, making the most of ignoring Sammy stares at his arm which stopped when Rachel nudged him in the ribs.
All in all, the atmosphere was light, but there was an elephant in the room, and no one wanted to raise it for fear of setting Sammy off. Rachel, as always, provided a perfect distraction and reached down for a gift bag. She set it graciously on the table and pushed it towards Hannah.
"This is from us 4…" she said looking at Max, Jake and Ari.
"5." Ari corrected.
They all looked at him and he shrugged. "Simon chipped in."
Everyone chuckled and Hannah nudged him. "Idiot."
He grinned, looking at her, for a moment debating giving her a kiss but he decided not to rub Sammy’s nose in it anymore. Hannah looked at him, sensing what he was thinking, and bit her lip reaching into the bag. They watched as she unwrapped her present, giving a little gasp as she spotted the Tag Heuer logo on the black leather box.
"You didn’t." her eyes flicked up in shock, looking round the tale.
"No you’re right, we didn’t Red. It’s just a box." Jake joked.
There were a few chuckles as she opened the case it and her fingers skated the silver and gold metal women’s divers watch nestled in the deep blue silk casing. "Oh my god…" she whispered, reaching in to pull it out. She then looked up again, smiling widely. "Guys…I …it’s amazing, thank you."
"Try it on. Come on cracker, I wanna see what my money bought." Max demanded.
"Our money." Rachel rolled her eyes at him. Max shrugged, stuffing more toast into his mouth.
Ari gently reached for it and took it from her, slipping it over her outstretched hand before he gently fixed the clasp. Hannah turned her arm over to look at it and smiled glancing up at the table.
"This must have cost you all a fortune…"
Jake leaned back grinning. "Ah, you’re worth it Red." And then he grimaced and looked at Ari, almost apologetically but Ari just chuckled.
"You’re right."
"Thanks guys, I love it." Hannah said before standing and giving Max, Jake and Rachel a hug in turn before she sat back down and gave Ari’s hand a quick squeeze where it was resting on the table.
Sammy cleared his throat and slid a gift bag and another wrapped box over the table "The bag is from Mama, I collected it from PS the other day and this…" he tapped a box "This is from me."
Hannah reached over, placing her hand over Sammy’s on top of the box and giving his fingers a squeeze. "Thanks Sammy." She spoke sincerely, her eyes locked onto her brother’s and he gave her a smile. She pulled the box towards her, opened it and gave a loud laugh and a squeal as she eyed up the item inside.
"Fuck Red, that’s a polaroid. That’s fucking awesome." Jake exclaimed.
"Oh my god I can’t wait to use this!!" She jumped up and rounded the table towards her brother. Sammy also got up and the pair of them hugged. Hannah closed her eyes, pressing her face into Sammy’s chest as his arms wrapped around her tight, and she recognised the hug for what it was. AN apology. Ari glanced at Rachel who gave him a small smile before he turned back to the siblings. Hannah stepped back and smiled as Sammy kissed her head and Ari could see Hannah was nearly crying.
"Thanks Sammy, I love it." she said, trying not to choke on her words.
"You’re welcome Han."
She sat back down, wiping her eyes and reached for her mother's gift, letting out a little gasp at the white crocheted skirt and top.
"Woah, did she make this?" Rachel asked, admiring the items of clothing.
Hannah nodded proudly. "She’s awesome. She’s made me loads of tops and stuff over the years."
"Remember the shirt she made me out of the old paisley curtains from the lounge?" Sammy asked smiling slightly.
Hannah grinned back. "Yeah…that shirt was actually kinda cool."
"Wait, wait..back up…you actually wore a pair of curtains?" Max asked, visibly shocked.
"Oh no, tell me you didn’t." Rachel shook her head at Sammy.
"Scarlett O’Hara did, why wouldn’t I?" he shrugged.
The table erupted into laughter, Jake shaking his head and launching into an impression “As God is my witness, I will never be hungry again.” "Come on, that’s a Max line." Sammy protested.
As the banter struck up across the table Ari leaned down to whisper in Hannah’s ear. "Feeling better?"
She nodded. "Loads." She then smiled and raised her wrist. "I know this was your idea. I told you I wanted one in Port Sudan."
"Yes, you did." Ari flashed her the Levinson smile.
"Thank you." she whispered
"Anything for you, firefly." he whispered, lost in her eyes.
She looked at him, the way he was looking at her was making her feel dizzy, but they were broken from their moment by Max and Jake howling with laughter. They tore their eyes unwillingly from one another to see Jake was banging the table with his fist.
"You wore it to a club? Holy shit…hey Red, please tell me there is a photo of this douchebag in the curtains…." he said through a fit of laughter.
Hannah grinned. "Mama will have one. I’ll get her to send it to me."
"Don’t you dare!" Sammy pointed at her. But she just grinned and shrugged.
Eventually, they made it through breakfast without any incidents and then Hannah decided she wanted to have some fun with the Polaroid, excitedly asking Jake to take one of her, Ari and Simon.
"Hah. Family portrait…yeah why not…" Jake quipped.
It took him 3 shots as the damned dog wouldn't play ball and kept looking anywhere but at the camera until Max walked up behind Jake with a pastry in his hands. Simons’ ears perked up as he eyed up Max’s food and thus Jake managed to get a nice shot of the three of them. Ari’s arm looped around Hanna’s shoulder, casually as hers was round his waist, Simon at their feet.
Hannah then offered to get one of Ari and Simon for him to send to Maya and Ari agreed. Crouching down, he gently posed with Simon, one hand round the dog as Hannah smiled and then whipped the Polaroid film out, shaking it furiously before she collected the ones Jake had made to look at them.
"Are you done with the photo shoot? Coz some guests are waiting for their diving tour." Sammy interrupted, being the natural buzzkill he was. Ari noticed the slight acidity to his tone but luckily, before Hannah did, Jake chipped in.
"This is vogue Sammy…" he joked, striking a pose.
"Yeah, like your curtain shirt." Hannah sniggered.
Sammy rolled his eyes, an unexpected soft smile on his face as he turned away.
"Is it me or is he being very calm?" Ari asked, squinting his eyes in the direction Sammy had left.
Hannah hummed. "Almost too calm. Anyway…" she said, handing Ari the stack of Polaroids she had taken as she turned to follow Jake.
"Where are you going?" Ari asked.
"Where do you think? I got a new divers watch to test out!" she chimed while raising and tilting her left wrist at him.
Ari smiled fondly as she saw her back away. Shaking his head Ari looked down at Simon who was looking at him and then turned to look at his owner. Ari snorted. "Go on."
The dog trotted after Hannah, tail wagging. Ari watched them go, and for once he didn't feel a shred of bother at the sight of Jake tossing an arm around her. The confrontation with Sammy hadn't been great but it had blown their cover and now everyone knew she was HIS girl. He felt better, relieved.
He glanced down at the Polaroids and smiled softly at the one of him and Simon, then the 3 of them, but it was one of the outtakes that made him pause. Simon was looking off to the right barking and Hannah was looking down at him, laughing as she watched him, Ari sporting a huge grin on his face. But it was Hannah’s expression that struck him. Her eyes were crinkled, those dimples he loved were on full display, her mouth wide open, curved into a loud giggle.
Outtake or not, he was definitely keeping that one.

Catch up with Part 1 first…
Hannah stirred, stretching a little.
“Sleeping?” he said, the inflection in his voice making it sound like a question.
Ari reached up to gently lay his palm against her cheek, thumb skating her cheekbone “You’re welcome.
Exhausted and satiated they fell asleep, cuddled together, Ari’s arms wrapped around Hannah, her head tucked under his chin pressed into his chest.
The force of the punch sent him sprawling back into the room and he stumbled a little as Hannah gave a yell.
“Sammy!! Stop!” She turned to Ari, who had just regained his balance and was straightening up, his hand wrapped around his jaw, blinking furiously.
“Don’t?” Sammy scoffed “I aint even started yet Hannah! I-“
“Save it Sammy.
This time Ari lunged forward, he had lost it.
Jake saw Ari’s contorted face and grabbed hold of Sammy as Max stepped in between them, placing one hand on Ari's chest.
"Say that again. Come on, Sammy!" Ari irked him. “You’ve had one free shot, you won’t get a-fucking-nother”
"You stupid cocky bastard." Sammy spat, trying to wriggle out of Jake's hold.
Sammy, whose eyes were fixed on Ari's hand, opened his mouth to say something, but Ari spoke first, his voice as apologetic as he could manage.
"Ouch…" he said, pouting a little as he connected his hands round the bottom of her back, pulling her closer.
"Yes, you did." Ari flashed her the Levinson smile his voice adopting a sultry tone that made her stomach flip.
"Don’t you dare!" Sammy said, pointing at her.
Some guests are waiting for their diving tour." Sammy interrupted, being the natural buzzkill he was.

Well didn’t get this done before Chapter Five came out, but I’m still MUCH more caught up than I had been. Good thing they’re going on a six week break here soon since that’ll not only let me catch my barrings... but let my soul have a break, GOOD GOD THESE PAST TWO CHAPTERS HIT HARD!As far this specific chapter goes... boy I did not expect me to shock me as much as it did. So w\let’s not waste anymore time and jump right into it.
Overview
Robyn is recalling a story about Joanna in prison, but neither Jaques or Qrow are all that into. But she does manage to get Qrow to finally smile, as well as notice him still holding Clover’s badge. She apologizes for what happened, which lets Qrow vent about the entire fiasco and how for the first time in so long, it felt like he had made a connection without having to fear his Semblance ruining it. Robyn... actually understands, herself having been ostracized due to her lie detecting Semblance making people fear her revealing their secrets. Harriet and Marrow enter, throwing Watts ack into his cell. Harriet doesn’t believe Qrow declaring his innocence, even when Robyn offers to use her Semblance. Robyn also calls Harriet out on essentially blaming others and not caring about the truth since it’s easier for her to not accept her own blame. Before Harriet can act, Marrow stops her and the speedster storms off/
Back in the tundra, JYR are still giving chase to The Hound, Jaune even launching Ren at it. It doesn’t work and The Hound even calls for backup, summoning more Grimm. It leads to a giant chase sequence, including a new song that IDT has a title yet, but it is dark as Hell. The chase ends with two of the bikes being destroyed, Yang and Jaune almost falling over a cliff until Ren uses his grappling features to save them, and the three are forced to watch as The Hound escapes with Oscar in it’s clutches. Back up in Atlas, RWBNM have gone to, surprisingly, the Schnee Manor to lay low and tend to Nora. Whitley is less than pleased, especially with what Weiss did not even 24 hours ago in-show, but Weiss makes it clear that they’re not leaving and she sends him to his room. As Weiss and May tend to Nora, Blake sees Ruby worried about the others. She suggests that Ruby can still call Yang... but there’s one problem, Ruby already did.
JYR are out of signal range, forcing them to make their way back to Mantle on-foot. During the trek however, Ren’s closed up attitude is flaring up, which eventually causes Yang to get on his case. Ren i9s frustrated due to not just losing Oscar, but everything that has happened. Losing the Relics, Ironwood’s betrayal, the current Grimm attack with Salem just outside the doorstep. Even with yang pointing out their accomplishments and admitting that they have made mistakes but still pulled through, Ren’s anger flares as he points out that they are WAY in over their heads. Jaune tries to calm them both down, but Ren continues to point to how Ruby is leading them despite still being a kid, he himself is an orphan form the middle of nowhere, and the biggest shock is him getting after Jaune for forging his way into Beacon. This shocks everyone, even Ren himself, but Jaune simply says that he’s getting out of the cold and walks on. Yang asks if Ren just wats to push everyone away before following, leaving Ren shocked and upset.
Meanwhile... oh boy, this scene. Oscar wakes up and standing right across from him is Salem. She addresses Ozma and how long it’s been since she’s seen him and... yeah it’s pretty unsettling. Oscar tries to act like Oz, but Salem sees right through it and tries to get Oscar to give her answers. He genuinely doesn’t know where the Beacon Relic is, so Salem tries to get the password to the Lamp out. When he tries to use the ‘out of questions’ ploy... Salem uses her magic to... magically torture him... yeah it’s... rough. Oscar still doesn’t talk, so Salem brings out Hazel... you know, the guy who hayes Oz probably more than anyone and has sworn to kill him? Yeah...
Cinder meets with Salem, taken back by The Hound which Salem calls an experiment. Cinder again tries to convince her to let her go after Penny, but Salem again orders her to stay put. Cinder agrees... well, verbally anyways. But she knows that the heroes are likely going to still try and launch Amity, so sh decides to go for the Maiden Power anyways. Neo is less than thrilled with this plan, but Cinder has another person willing to help her: Emerald.
Back in the tundra, JYR have found shelter for the night and Jaune admits that Ren is correct about how he cheated his way into Beacon. But he’s since realized that he was above his mistake and tries to convince Ren to not push them out, knowing fully well how all that it does is hurt you more. If it did any good, Ren doesn’t show it as he goes to sit outside. Yang has found a part to fix the bike and also assures Jaune that she knows that he worked hard to get to where he is now. She starts working on the part before asking Jaune if ‘she’ thinks any less of her. Jaune, assuming that she means Ruby, assures her that they’re sisters and will be fine... but Yang was talking about a certain cat girl. Our episode ends here... but not before showing us the ice nearby beginning to crack... thanks a lot CRWBY!
Review
Like I said in the intro, I didn’t expect this chapter to shock me like it did. Did I expect intensity? Of course, especially after the last chapter? Did I expect what we got? Nope, but it was perfect!
Let’s talk about Ren first. Ever since last volume, it’s been clear that he’s been unraveling. He wasn’t engaging in Nora’s antics anymore, was more closed up than usual, seemed in agreement with Ironwood at one point, and of course his mini-breakdown in the finale Not even Nora and him kissing helped, heck considering what happened after it only seemed to make him worse. Even now he’s at serious odds with Nora for the first time since childhood, something that is clearly bothering him despite him keeping it to the chest. He’s trying to keep his focus on his duty, but with everything going more and more wrong, the facade is not only shattering, but the cracks are causing him to push those close to him away.
His argument with Yang was a tense moment. I like it though. Not only for more unique character dynamics, but out of every character Yang will lay it out as it is. If Ren’s going to have an attitude problem, then she will call it out and not give a damn about the reason why. Since Nora can’t get though to him, the harsher approach is kind of the only thing left. Ren’s breakdown was hard to watch... and he is right to an extent. They are in over their heads. Their decision, even if the right one morally, is creating more problems and endanger more lives. Ruby is still a kid and she’s placed far too much on herself. I think he is underestimating himself and the others about not being ready, but his concerns are completely understandable and he has some good, if harsh, points.
But then he brings up Jaune cheating his way into beacon. Yeah, been a while since that came up, huh? I actually gasped when that came up. While Ren clearly didn’t mean for that to come out, the fact that he did when pointing out that they’re way over their heads does display at least some doubts he has about his leader. JNR have grown close over the past few volumes, Ren and Nora essentially considering Jaune family by the time of Volume 6. So hearing this was hard, especially since all that Jaune was doing was trying to calm him and Yang down.
I do, however, like how Jaune reacted. Back in the early volumes, he likely would have taken it as a blow to his confidence and gotten huffy about it. Now? While the blow clearly stung, he keeps himself in check and keeps focus on finding shelter. Then once there, he outright admits that Ren’s right and tries to comfort him. He tries to advise him on opening up and how closing yourself off doesn’t help. Considering that he tried this both in V1 when we found out how he cheated and after Pyrrha died and only getting better when he allowed others to help, he absolutely knows how Ren feels. But the fat that he handled this so maturely and tried to help his friend instead of get angsty about it shows how much he’s grown. It’s really nice to see.
Now let’s talk about Weiss and Whitley. So this got some... mixed reception. Some were upset about Weiss pointing her weapon and Whitley and her general harsh behavior towards him this chapter. Now I do understand the first part since I was similarly annoyed at Yang for threatening Qrow in Volume Six when all that he was trying to do was be reasonable about the Lamp. It was likely too harsh, but in farness Weis sis not only trying to help save the kingdom, but one of her teammates is in critical condition and she has no time for Whitley to be angry at her. The Manor is the safest place at the moment, and she needs to get Nora care now. Not saying it’s a justification, but it isn’t her being mean for the sake of it either.
But even so... guys I’m sorry, but do you seriously expect Weiss to suddenly forgive and coddle Whitley this soon? After years of him belittling her and rubbing his success in her face while she was punished, not to mention seeming more concerned about the family reputation than the current conflict? I’m sorry , but it’s not that simple. Yes, Whitley is also a victim who was manipulated and groomed by his father and unlike Weiss, he was never able to get a proper support system or have any family to help like how Weiss had Winter. I do feel bad for him, and I do think that Weiss will take her mother’s words form the last volume and will help Whitley later in the volume. But they’ve both hurt each other. Whitley by treating Weiss badly, and Weiss not giving him support like she was given. They’re both victims AND hurt each other. Some try to paint it as one is problematic and the other is an innocent child, and that’s simply untrue. They’re only going to realize that if and when they talk out their problems with each other out, it’s just a matter of when it’ll be. It takes time to mend these kinds of things, sadly.
Next is the villains scene... ho boy. So I’m gonna wait on Cinder for the next chapter, but her ignoring Salem in favor of power isn’t a shock at all. No, let’s discuss Oscar. Just... this poor, poor kid. He’s trying to be brave, but seeing him get tortured and especially the screaming?! Aaron Dismuke, why do this to me you jerk?! I do admire him for trying it imitate Oz and keep his composure, but it was just so... brutal to watch. Salem doing it so calmly and being perfectly willing to wait for the answers since she can just make Oscar suffer is... well, evil. And don’t think I missed her with the shadow versions of her daughters. Some say that humanizes her, but since she remorsefully tortured a child and sicked an emotionally unstable brute to physically harm him without a care in the world... no. It didn’t excuse Ironwood, and it sure as Hell isn’t excusing Salem. Tis just makes her all the more terrifying.
Okay... last thing is that scene at the end. The Bumblebee implication scene. So... I won’t lie it did annoy me at first. Before anyone says anything, it was NOT because of hating the ship or anything stupid like that. I’m not a huge Bumblebee fan, but anyone who keeps saying there’s nothing there at this point is living in denial. It’s happening people and since at least Volume 6, I think they’ve been doing it pretty well. My issue is mainly just because... we’ve had plenty of Bumblebee content. Volume 7 had them together in pretty much every scene, and I just don’t like having a pair of characters limited like that. I had the same issue with Renora, especially in Volumes 1-3, and with shipping in general. The main reason though is that I want there to be some more focus on Ruby and Yang because I feel like it’s been a long time and that there is a genuine conflict between them that can bring some interesting things for both. I’m not saying they need to be at each other’s throats, but siblings DO argue and no, it doesn’t always get easily resolved and I am speaking form experience here. To be fair it could happen later and Ruby herself hasn’t been pondering on it that much either. Heck Blake seemed more concerned about it than either of them have. But I would like to see more than just the one pair that I’ve already seen focused on plenty of times because it’s limiting. That’s just a personal thing though and I’ve always enjoyed sibling stuff more than romance, so yeah just a me thing.
That being said, those saying that Yang doesn’t care about Ruby need to calm down. No, that is NO the case. Did we forget Yang trying to console a broke Ruby despite her own grief just last volume? Mere hours ago in-show at that? Despite what I said above and while she’s clearly concerned after Ruby’s recent choices, Yang still loves and ultimately trusts her sister. She never said that she didn’t think that Ruby would fail or was wasting her time, she just felt like Mantle needed them more and the consequences to trying were too much. Heck this is a spoiler, but considering her reaction in the next chapter, it only reinforces that belief. At least with Blake, this is the first time they’ve willingly split apart and Yang clearly still has some abandonment issues and concerns. Plus... yeah, it’s natural when you have feelings for someone to worry if they made a bad choice that may make them doubt them. Blake won’t, but it’s understandable. Heck, Blake was clearly concerned about Yang when trying to get Ruby to call. I think she was trying to comfort Ruby as well with the suggestion, but it was still pretty evident... also Ruby and Blake interaction, yay! Still yeah guys, let’s just... chill a little bit and see what more comes of anything.
Okay, got that out of my system, and I apologize if it came across wrong. Whatever annoyance I had I’m over anyways, especially after the recent chapter. Anyways, the chapter had so much good. Plus we not only had a badass chase sequence, but a new song! Again, IDK the title, but it was another banger for sure. The opening scene with row and Robyn bonding and Robyn calling out Harriet was great. Marrow’s subtle expressions showing how not okay he is, and I’m seriously hoping that he may be the one to free the others. It would be a really good move for his character in him deciding that being lawful doesn’t equal the right thing, and making it right especially considering his interaction with Robyn last volume. The animation was good with the backgrounds looking fantastic, the pacing has been on fire, and of course that ominous ending. God they’re trying to keep us on edge, and I love it!
Chapter Stats
Favorite Character: Lie Ren Favorite Scene: Ren losing it in the tundra Least Favorite Scene: Probably the wrong term, but seeing Oscar be tortured while well done was hard. Favorite Voice Actor: Neath Oum (Ren Favorite Animation: JYR chasing The Hound Rating: 9.9/10
Final Thoughts
This was fantastic, especially in the character department. I haven’t been this shocked in a good while. It hurt no doubt, but the writing and voice performances were so well done. Seriously, this is probably Neath’s best performance to date. Add in the great animation, the tone being on point, and the set-ups with the Schnee Manor and cracking ice and the fact that this is only Chapter Four is crazy. But it’s only going to get crazier people... oh so, so much crazier. Only one review to go until I’m back to being caught up... my poor heart XD

It’s getting hot in here
Firefighter!Bucky x Reader
Warnings: fluff, some swearing.
Summary: Bucky clears your apartment building and then saves your life from a fire.
It was cleaning day, the most dreaded day of the week, which meant to combat your laziness and not wanting to do anything all day you blasted only top hits through your loft you could jam too. You’d been putting this off for awhile so there was quite the buildup of clutter and dishes.
You danced around your kitchen, bright yellow gloves on with a sponge in hand as you belted the lyrics to “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood. You stopped between breaths to actually scrub the countertops, you were in a giant Patriots t shirt that used to be your dads and panties. It was a warm day so you had the windows open to air out the loft.
“AND I DUG MY KEY INTO THE SI-“ a hand came down on your shoulder and you let out a shrill scream.
You spun on your heel and hurled the blue sponge towards your attacker. It landed square in the face of a very handsome and amused fireman, his blue eyes shocked as he looked down at the object that had just been launched into his face.
Your hands covered your mouth, “I am SO sorry!”
You rushed to pause the music and he laughed, you spun around facing him then suddenly realizing you were only wearing a t shirt and panties.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to frighten you doll. We’re gonna have to ask you to evacuate the building as there’s a gas leak.” The cute fireman grinned cheekily at you
Your cheeks engulfed in flames, you nodded but didn’t move from where you were standing.
“I, um, I just need to put some pants on and grab a few things.”
His eyes strayed down from your gaze for a split second before his grin got a bit wider and his cheeks tinged pink. God why did he have to be so damn cute?
“Yeah, doll, it might be a few days before they can clear the building for civilians to be back in,” his voice was gravelly and warm.
His blue eyes were so hypnotizing, the cheeky grin, and that shoulder-length brown hair, god this man was sex on a damn stick. You forced yourself to look away and peel the rubber gloves off your hands, realizing how ridiculous you must have looked.
“Doll?” He asked bringing me back to the present.
“Yeah, um, I’m gonna need you to not look while I run to my bedroom,” You squeaked, not meeting his eyes.
Cute fireman grinned cheekily and then placed a gloved hand over his eyes, you darted for your room and stuck your legs into a pair of leggings in record time. You grabbed your necessities and shoved them into a bag, slid your feet into Birkenstock’s and walked back into the living room. He was still there and he was playing with the interlocking burr puzzle that normally sat on your coffee table, his eyes squinted and his tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth in concentration.
“You’re still here?” You asked curiously.
His eyes shot to yours and he grinned as he set the puzzle down on the coffee table and pulled out a notepad.
“Yeah, I have to get names and phone numbers of residents so we can call when the building is cleared. I’m Bucky, by the way,” he stuck his hand out.
“I’m Y/N Y/L/N.” You said softly.
When you shook Bucky’s hand, butterflies shot through you at the contact. You forced yourself to let go of his hand and calmly recite your phone number for him, trying not to focus on how nervous he made you.
“Alright, as much as I hate for the live concert to end. Let’s get you outta here, Y/N,” Bucky teased as he led you out of your loft.
“I’m never playing music again,” Y/N groaned, your hand covering your eyes.
Bucky walked by your side down the stairs, other firemen passing nodded at him and some glanced at you curiously.
“No, really, I hated to interrupt the most beautiful rendition of Carrie Underwood I’ve ever seen,” he bumped your shoulder playfully.
You glared at him playfully and bumped him back, cheeks still pink but you were smiling. He tucked some of the chestnut strands in his face behind his ear, and that simple movement was mesmerizing.
“Ya know, technically you owe me ticket money for sneaking into a live show like that,” You snarked as you reached the sidewalk.
His mouth popped open into an mock offended ‘O’ and he placed a hand on his chest theatrically.
“I just saved your life from a gas leak! Call it even?”
You giggled and his grin sent a shot of pleasure through your body as you shook your head.
“Hmmmm, we’ll see about that, Mr Fireman. I’ll think about it,” You teased.
“Alright, doll, I have to go back and clear more residents but we’ll give you a call when the building is clear. You keep that concert going for me alright?” He winked at you before turning back to the building.
You pulled out your phone and called your best friend, Wanda, to see if you could stay with her for a few days. She of course agreed and said that Nat had a few days off of work so it would be like a long girls night. After ordering an Uber you played on your phone as you waited for your ride to arrive, glancing up to see if any of the firemen mulling around were Bucky. None of the ones already outside were Bucky but you could hear them talking about a Captain Barnes being back to his old self.
The car finally got there and you slid into the back seat and got settled, looking out the window as the car pulled away from the curb. You saw Bucky coming out with an elderly man from the third floor, he was carrying a bag for him and helping him into a cab. His smile was kind and his eyes were warm as he teased the old man.
After a few seconds you couldn’t see him anymore and you slouched back into the seat, playing on your phone for the twenty minute ride to Nat and Wanda’s apartment. Wanda was waiting outside for you when you got there, she clapped excitedly when you got out and you rolled your eyes. She had already told Clint, the head of security that she would have a gues for the next couple of days.
You and Wanda bickered on what show to watch before you both settled on watching Friends while Nat ordered Chinese food and poured red wine. When she got off the phone she handed you a glass of red and settled back on the couch.
“So, why are you stranded on our couch for a few days?” She asked, taking a sip of wine.
“Gas leak in the building, they’re supposed to call when it’s clear.”
“Wasn’t today cleaning day?” Wanda asked, her eyes glued to the screen.
You flushed, god you did not want to relive this story but you were going to have to tell them.
“Yeah, about that... a very handsome fireman saw me dancing around and belting Carrie Underwood in just my t shirt and panties.” Y/N squeaked, sinking down into the cushions.
Wanda immediately paused the episode and turned to you with excitement all over her face.
“What?!”
“Yeah and then I hit him in the face with a sponge because he scared me,” You groaned, hand over your eyes.
Nat roared with laughter from the other couch, and Wanda seemed to be struggling not to join her.
“It’s not funny, it’s HUMILIATING!” You griped which only made Wanda dissolve into a fit of laughter and Nat literally double over.
You covered your face with a throw pillow and groaned loudly, that was NOT the introduction you wanted to a hot fireman. You removed the pillow and just glued your eyes to the tv, Y/N could admit if it wasn’t you that it happened to you definitely would be laughing.
“What did he SAY?” Nat got out between fits of laughter.
“Well he did say it was the best rendition of Carrie Underwood he had ever heard,” You snarked.
“He was totally flirting with you!!” Wanda exclaimed and Nat nodded her agreement.
You rolled your eyes dramatically, Wanda wanted so badly to find you a boyfriend after her and Vis got together. She wanted someone to double date with, unfortunately for her you self-sabotaged more than anyone else on the planet. Every single date she set you up on you had effectively made sure that they didn’t want a second one, it was more to do with personal issues than anything else. You were terrified of being in a relationship after your last boyfriend.
“Wanda. He was not flirting with me.”
Nat watched Wanda with amusement dancing in her eyes as the girl’s eyes basically bugged out of her head with disbelief.
“He walked in on you dancing in your underwear, belting Carrie Underwood in NO makeup. And you hit him in the FACE with a sponge. But he still managed to tease you. He was flirting with you but go off.” Wanda snarked.
You took a huge gulp of your wine and groaned, this wasn’t gonna end. Nat grinned from the other couch at you, she finally had told Wanda that she wasn’t interested in dating until after she came to terms with some emotional baggage. Unfortunately for you, that’s the only excuse that Wanda accepted and you couldn’t use it.
“I hate you.” You stated and snagged the remote to resume the episode.
“You love me. And you know I’m right,” she huffed.
“Wrong.” You rolled your eyes again.
Wanda made a disgruntled hmph sound and let us get back to Friends, you snuck a glance at Nat who discreetly shook her head at you while she grinned. We loved our friend but she was the absolute worst at meddling.
_______________________________________
It had been three days since the gas leak in the building, which meant three whole days of Wanda pestering you about Bucky. You’d called the landlord to see if it was over with and he said they were waiting to be cleared for civilians.
Finally deciding to do something worth your time, you were tapping away at the keys on your computer working on a report for work. Sam had been bugging you about it for a few days and you finally had the time to work on it.
You hit the green button and answered with a slightly annoyed, “hello?”
“Um, hey, is this Y/N Y/L/N?” A familiar voice asked down the line.
“Yes, who is this?”
“Oh, good, uh this is Bucky. Um, Captain Barnes from the Fire Department. Your apartment building has been cleared for civilians,” his rich voice sounded like silk through the phone.
“Oh, okay. Well thank you for calling! And again so sorry for hitting you in the face with a sponge,” You rambled, cheeks tinging pink even though he couldn’t see them.
“Like I said, most beautiful version of Carrie Underwood I’ve ever heard. I’d love to catch another live concert sometime,” he chuckled and butterflies fluttered in your stomach.
“I’ll consider sending tickets for the next one,” You joked and his snort was the most adorable sound you’d ever heard.
“Anyways, I’ve got another thirty of these calls to make Y/N, so I’ll let you go. But, seriously, keep the concert going dollface.” Bucky didn’t sound thrilled at all about making calls all, you giggled to yourself thinking of all the neighbors he was probably calling.
“Have fun with that, Mrs. Jenkins is a real treat.” You teased and he laughed again.
“Bye, Y/N,” his rich timbre sounding down the line one last time.
“Bye Bucky.”
________________________________
“Y/N,” Sam called.
Your head shot up, you’d been totally zoned out for the last five minutes of whatever conversation you’d been pretending to be involved with. Bucky had not left your mind at all, his twinkling blue eyes, charismatic smile, that fucking boyish brown hair. It was doing a number on you that even you had to admit was embarrassing.
“Sorry, Sam, my mind is elsewhere. What can I do?” You smiled sheepishly at your favorite coworker.
He scoffed and the muttered a passive “nevermind” before leaving your office. It was only mid-morning so you were heavily engrossed in paperwork, one of your biggest clients had a massive family turmoil so they were changing their will so they were taking forever to get everything changed. You were back and forth on the phone, gathering documents and legal questions for you to answer and them change their mind.
The fire alarm started going off, the red light flashing and then the automated voice came over the speaker. You rolled your eyes annoyed, stuck your head out of your office door and yelled if it was a drill or not. Stacy from two office down called back that it was the 25th so it was probably a drill. You sat back down at your desk, and got back to gathering the stuff you needed for your 2o’clock meeting. Ten minutes had passed before you noticed the smoke coming through the bottom of your door.
The smell finally reached your nostrils before you leapt from your office chair and rushed to the door. It was NOT a drill, there was an actual fire on your office. Panickedly remembering the doorknob rule, you held the back of your hand to the knob. Cold. You flung the door open and rushed to alert Stacy, screaming for her to quickly come out.
The both of you rushed to the stairwell and flung it open, it was filled with smoke. It was so thick that you couldn’t see through it. You were on the third floor, it was an older building which meant. One stairwell. The window was your only option.
“We have to try and signal someone from the window,” you dragged Stacy to your office and struggled with the blinds in a panic.
You flung the window open and looked down at the street, you could see firefighters killing around at the bottom.
“HEY UP HERE!! WE’RE STUCK! HELP!” Stacy yelled, her grip on your arm deathly strong.
“HELP, SOMEBODY HELP US! PLEASE HELP!”
No one looked up, it was like they couldn’t hear over the sirens. You waved frantically before you spotted a familiar mop of boyish brown hair, it couldn’t be.
“BUCKY!! BUCKY HELP US!” You screamed as loud as you could.
His head shot up, glancing around before actually looking up and spotting the two of you.
“Y/N?!?!”
He frantically called for someone to shut off the siren and get the ladder before calling back up to you.
“DOLL, JUST HANG ON FOR ME, I’M COMING TO GET YOU!”
The smoke in the office was getting thicker, Stacy was coughing and hacking, her hand pressed to her chest. You moved back so she could get a breath of clean air, you remembered that she had asthma and you couldn’t live with yourself for making her sick or causing a really bad attack. The door was shut but the smoke was still coming through and it was thick. You peeked over Stacy’s shoulder and saw a ladder coming up to the window, you let out a sigh of relief when you saw Bucky on it.
He reached the window and you shoved Stacy towards him, “She has asthma take her first.”
Bucky looked back and forth between the two of you, he looked torn but you weren’t having any part of it.
“Take her, I’ll be fine. Promise.”
His mouth set in a line, he assisted Stacy onto the ladder and lowered them back down. You nervously chewed your lip while trying to breathe as much clean air as possible, unable to keep from coughing. You leaned heavily against the window, it was getting harder and harder to breathe.
“Y/N, DOLL, HANG ON. DON’T YOU CLOSE THOSE PRETTY EYES FOR ME. IM ALMOST THERE.” You could hear Bucky frantically calling but it was like there was a fog on your brain.
It was so hard to breathe and you were so tired, you rested your head against the window pane. You nodded to him but you didn’t know if you could keep them open, he was no more than a couple feet from you. You could hear him swearing and saw him reaching for you. And that’s when you collapsed.
__________________________________________
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
God whatever that incessant beeping was it needed to stop immediately, you thought to yourself. You blinked your eyes open, and realized that not only were you not in your bed but you were in a hospital room. You shot up and groaned almost instantly at the pain that shot through your head, the rhythmic beeping started increasing to a more frantic speed when the door open.
Bucky walked in holding a cup of coffee, whistling quietly to himself. His blue eyes found yours and widened almost comically before he rushed over to you.
“Y/N, doll, how are you feeling?” He asked, ushering you to lay back on the reclined bed.
“I... what happened? I remember telling you to get Stacy but that’s it.” You scratched your head as you squinted.
“You passed out and then hit your head really fucking hard on the window sill in your office, you have a concussion and a few stitches. I climbed in and got you out and brought you here myself.” Bucky explained, his fingers brushing along the top of your forehead. And that explained the pounding headache.
“Great.” You groaned.
“Y/N, you shouldn’t have even been in the building still.” Bucky’s tone was now stern.
You flushed and looked down at your hands, no you shouldn’t have been in the building still but you were an idiot. A massive fucking idiot.
“I know. Me and Stace thought it was a drill so we just stayed up there. And then I noticed some smoke so I ran to go get her and we tried to go down the stairs but I couldn’t even see the smoke was so thick. And so then we tried the window. No one could hear us yelling but then I saw you and so I just started screaming your name.” You trailed off, he had every right to yell at you and so you tensed waiting for it.
Bucky grabbed your hand and caressed the back of it softly, you slowly raised your eyes to his and he was smiling.
“It’s okay, you’re okay. Stacy is fine. She got some oxygen at the scene and got to go home. You got a fun ride in a fire truck with me screaming for Steve to hurry up and fucking drive. Carried you in here. Caused a huge scene. I mean I couldn’t let me favorite singer die on me without giving me a full concert first,” he teased.
You flushed. “Now I really owe you a concert huh?”
He grinned and the heart monitor gave you away as your heart started thumping faster. Bucky winked cheekily at you and you bit your lip, his eyes tracked the movement and he leaned in slightly. His blue eyes flicking back up to yours as if for approval, whatever he saw there was all he needed to close the distance.
His lips pressed to yours and the butterflies in your stomach turned into pterodactyls, you parted your lips slightly and Bucky took the invitation. His tongue swiped against yours and you let out a small whimper against his mouth.
And at that moment the door flung open and a nurse walked in, Bucky quickly pulled back from you.
“Oh!! Sorry I just need to check vitals. Glad to see you’re awake, ma’am.”
She worked quickly and you watched as she checked your vitals and wrote them in your chart before she excused herself and murmured something about the doctor being by shortly.
You and Bucky stared at each other before both trying to speak at once.
“Will you go to dinner with me?”
“I can’t stop thinking about you.”
You both laughed and grinned at each other, Bucky leaned in and pressed his lips gently to yours.
“I have to go back to work, but doll I’ll be back right after my shift is over. And I’m taking you out to dinner.” His lips grazing your forehead.
You flushed and nodded, and watched his sexy ass walk out of the door and definitely catching the cheeky wink he threw behind him.

#Fictober Day 4
“Will that be all?”
(Erik Stevens x Black!OC)
Word Count: 1.6k
Sweet, sweet Friday night has arrived and Rochelle was ready to enjoy it to the fullest. Having started her new job, the comfort of knowing everything and being the one to call on for help was flushed away and replaced with mounds of company orientations, piles of reading materials to learn programs and regulations, and constantly getting lost coming back from lunch. She counted her blessings to have moved on from where she was before; she is getting more pay, better benefits and it was closer to home, so she was prepared to take on all of the newbie awkwardness and feeling like a know-nothing to keep her spot.
But now was the time to unwind for making it through the first week alive, and she knew just how to let loose. Rochelle got rid of her office attire, showered and put her hair in a protective style before wrapping herself up in her comfy clothes and favorite Proud Family blanket on the couch. Her studying made her miss out on her fall TV coming back, but luckily God made Hulu a thing.
Queueing up her list, she took out her hot chips and and sweet tea to dive into the latest drama that had cooked up since last season.
Rochelle’s phone lights up, indicating a text message. She looks at the screen to read a message from her friend, Ayla.
Hey! Congrats on the new money, girl! Drinks on you tonight, let’s hit up karaoke!
Rochelle squirmed with indecisiveness. It had been a while since her and Ayla got out together but she JUST got comfortable.
Nah, I just set my hair anyway. But maybe tomorrow?
A few minutes later. Really? If you don’t put a scarf on your hair and Erykah Ba-do the damn thing!
Rochelle cackled. She loved it when she could send an LOL after actually lol’ing.
LOL, ok girl. I was raised not to give into peer pressure. I’m putting my foot down on this. I’m so damn tired, sis.
Ugggghhhh, fine. But I’m hollering at you tomorrow, so you better come through!
Rochelle tosses her phone on the table, burrowing under her covers once again as she finally calls it as night.
Halfway through the first episode, Rochelle’s stomach started to growl. She hadn’t made it to the store all week either to reload the fridge so chips, peanut butter, and cereal were mostly all she had to make a meal of. Rochelle couldn’t fight the hunger pains any longer, but was too settled to go pick anything up. There was a great restaurant around the corner from her that served the best wings, burgers, fries, and anything else, greasy and Americana for someone to indulge in.
Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t do online orders so Rochelle stretched her arm out from the warmth of her blanket to pick up her cell phone and call in. The phone rang and rang and rang. Must be a busy night, you thought. The line suddenly opens up.
“Yeah? After I covered your fucking shifts for the damn Teyana Taylor concert, you gonna do me like this?! Pssh, whatever nigga. Hi, whatchu tryna get?” a man on the other line demands.
Rochelle was taken aback from the unprofessional speech she was hearing. It wasn’t a snooty restaurant, but usually some old aunty picks up sounding sunny and accommodating.
“Hello?!” he says, irritated.
“Oh, uh yeah. Sorry, um I wanted to put in an order with you?”
He chuckles. “Yeah, well I didn’t think you were calling to ask me how my day was.”
Rochelle clears her throat. He had a nice baritone to his voice, you could tell he was a brother at least. “Well with what I just heard, maybe I should?”
She hears some shuffling on the phone. “Is this a prank caller or somethin?”
She laughs apologetically. “No, no! Sorry, I am hungry so damn hungry, please don’t make me wait for the phone to ring and ring again.”
“Aw, yeah, my bad on that. Well, it’s really Ralph’s bad. His wife Sadie usually takes the calls but she is taken a leave right now. He isn’t a people person though so he will literally ignore the rings until someone gets sick enough to answer.”
Rochelle sits up, turning down her TV. “And he’s into Teyana Taylor?”
He laughs genuinely. “Nah, nah, that was my boy, Phillip. He was closer to the phone, and act like it’s too much to PICK UP THE PHONE!” Erik yells, presumably to Phillip.
“Ah ok. Maybe you’ll earn Employe of the Month, since you’re so damn helpful.” Rochelle says, smiling to herself, playing with the fuzz on her blanket.
All she hears is background noise before he continues. “...you cute. You sound cute too, look, where am I gonna be delivering?” he asks. She hears the phone adjust again.
“Oh, you deliver too? Jack of all trades and shit?” Rochelle lays back on the couch as she lists off her address, unable to sit still with all this flirting going on.
“Baby, I do it all. Don’t let nobody tell you different. What’s your name?” She gives it to him. “Niiice. Ok, whatchu need? We can’t have you goin hungry on a Friday night. You get paid, you eat.”
“I heard that! Ok, so I need the one pound lemon pepper wings, fry them hard…”
He groans on the other line. “You one of those high maintenance customers, huh?”
Her mouth slacks open. “Excuse me sir! What happened to ‘the customer is always right’?”
She hears him kiss his teeth. “Shiiiit, these customer is always right about to get a foot up they ass, asking for the moon and shit. I got you though, don’t trip. What else?”
Rochelle’s stomach begins to grumble again. “Uhh, I need a side of fries, and a couple of them honey butter biscuits. Go head and add a side of potato salad. And do y’all have the fudge brownies tonight? Y’all always run out of those-”
“Damn girl! You eatin, eatin! I ain’t mad at you, when you hungry, you gotta satisfy that. Yeah, we got them brownies, don’t even trip. You need a drink?” His voice has gotten lower and sounds like he is talking right into the receiver.
His voice tickles her eardrum as Rochelle sits up at his inflection on the word ‘satisfy’. He sounded so damn fine, she hoped it was real.
“Nah, that’s ok, you been really helpful.” She starts to dig in her purse for her wallet.
“Ok, I guess you got juice and shit already. That’s cool. Ok, anything else, Ma?” He says, as you hear paper rustling.
“No, I’m good. Can’t wait!”
“Ok, your total is $15.78. I should be by around...15 minutes. Think you can wait on me?”
Rochelle giggles. “I got no choice! What’s your name, by the way?”
“It’s Erik. Glad to be of service to you this evening. Hold tight.”
As they hang up Rochelle grips her phone in her hands anxiously. What the hell was all of that? She has never flirted with a delivery boy, much less while taking the order before seeing him. But his conversation was so smooth, and his voice so deep, authoritative, but compassionate. She brushes it off, but that doesn’t stop her from putting on some boy shorts instead of her Looney Tunes pajama bottoms.
The knock at the door jarred Rochelle, making her jump from her concentration on her show. She gets up, checking herself in the mirror before opening the door with the chain on.
Looking up, she sees her helpful delivery boy, bag in one hand, scratching his beard with the other as he peers as her through the crack in the door.
His almost instantaneous smile at the sight of her made Rochelle flutter, his dimples were even more poignant than the golds in his lower teeth, making her chest cave in.
“I hope I didn’t keep you too long, ma’am. Your order still hot though!” He smirks, raising the bag up.
Rochelle closes the door, working the chain with a speed untapped before. He didn’t look like no cook she ever seen before. They were always the biggest flirts with the ashiest appearance, but Erik looked like the Cinderella version. Opening the door completely, a shared exchange of onceovers says what words can’t.
“So you certainly do deliver.” Rochelle says, putting on her grown and sexy voice.
Erik shrugs. “Like I said, I do it all. I got you.”
“Where my drink then?” Rochelle looks around him fruitlessly.
Erik holds his hands to his mouth. “Ohhh, shit! She got jokes!”
She holds her hand out as he hands the bag to him. “You got change for a $20?”
He shakes his head, locs hanging in his eyesight a moment. “Nah, you can hold onto that.”
Rochelle smirked, impressed by his generosity. “But….won’t you get in trouble for being short or something?”
Erik kisses his teeth, drawing her eyes to his emotive mouth as he talks. “I’ll just add it as my comped meal for my shift, ain’t nothin.”
Rochelle nods, holding the bag at her side. “So...I guess that means no tip either….”
Erik bites his lips looking down at the floor. “Eh, this can be my goodwill for the day. That’s tip enough. Will that be all?”
She hoped HIS tip would be enough. Rochelle stammered looking behind her and back at Erik. “Well, you don’t have to be hungry and broke on account of me.”
Erik’s neck jerks back, as he makes a face. “Aye, now, I ain’t never broke, hear me! But I could eat, you know.”
Rochelle nods. “I got plenty.”
Erik’s eyes travel downward. “You do...and you my last order for the day, so I just got off…”
Rochelle stepped back from the door, as everything seemed to fall into place, allowing him to come inside.

Day6 Jae x Reader Smut?
You had an awful day, your professor scolds you because of your research paper which is you know really shitty because your too tired from working and you just can't figure out how to finished your papers without it getting slap on your face. Even at work, a customer was yelling at you for not giving them spoon and fork and you just snapped telling them that it's self-service. And you were fired. Great! Just fucking great. On your way to home, Jae your classmate in Biology keep on texting you about homework and he wants you to help him. You agreed and went to his dorm which is pretty weird cause you're the only girl who he always invites you to go study in his dorm, "I think he see me as a boy, sad." You frown at the thought. You arrived at his room knocked at the door, but there's no Jae to be found, instead a girl opened the door for you and motions her hand for you to come in.
"Uhm, who are you? Where's Jae?" You just stood there not coming inside, she might be a killer im too young to die! Where the fuck is Jae.! She laughs seeing your horrified face.
"Jae's at the shower, you can wait inside" she smiled ,you see a resemblance of Jae in her smile, also her eyes shines like Jae. She's actually pretty, more prettier if she have make up. You lost in your thoughts when Jae appears in her back, smiling widely at you, infact he's naked on top and only a towel under. You felt your cheeks flushed and look away trying to hide your face.
"Uh-m I ..I'll just wait he-here just.. get dress first" you said stuttering. The girl laughs at you and pushes Jae inside telling him to get dressed. "Hi I'm Jae's sister, nice to meet you? She offered her hands and you took it " OHHH sister? Hi, I'm y/n, nice to meet you too." Before his sister said anything Jae opened the door. "Sis thank you for the food but you should go now, we have an important things to dicussed." Jae said. His sister gave him the look.
"Okay little brother, you two should enjoy! The night is young! " she gathers her things and went back outside and waved her hands at us, "HEY! YOU SHOULD USE CONDOMS OKAY? BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!" she shouts before riding the elevator, you froze hands at your mouth, the floor probably heard what she said, that was so embarrasing! You turned around to look at Jae, he blinks too fast mouth agape, he looks at you and plastered a shy smile.
"Sorry for that" he blushed. Fuck he looked so cute !. You coughed to broke the awkwardness
"Wanna come in?" Jae asked scratching his head still smiling shyly.
" Yeah sure " you replied walking inside his room. Usually his room is not that neat but right now you think his sister cleaned his room. You sat at his bed while he flips the small table in front of you, you start taking out your notes and Jae offered you coffee.
"I think you should need coffee right now. You looked really really tired , did something happened" Jae asked looking concerned, he sat in front of you between the small table.
"Yeah I'm having a bad day really," you heaved a big sigh and slouched.
"So tell me about it, if it makes you feel better" He said smiling. You really loved the way he smiled at me, he looks at me like im the most precious thing in the world. You've been friends since freshman and he's your study buddy you hang out always after exam, not like he's your best friend or something but, he always listen to you whenever you have problems, it's good to have a friend like him.
You told him how your day at school went, also u losing my part time job, your professor being shitty and stuff. He just looks at you, staring and nodding paying attention to what your saying. God whoever dates this man is so lucky. You smiled at him realizing we have to study for his biology.
"Well, thanks for listening to me but we have to study now." He smiled back and you starts flipping your notes when he gathers his things and put it back in his bag. You looked at him confused.
"Forget the study! Let's go watch Netflix..." He said grinning while putting your things aside and grabbed your hands leading you to the couch, you felt your cheeks blushed again feeling your skin touching his hands, long fingers soft skin, how nice would it be if you have a chance to hold his hands like this everyday.
You admit to yourself how you like Jae, like really like him ,who wouldn't fall for this caring man? But you just dont want to lose a good friend. You sighed still looking at your hands clasping prettily as if it's made to fit. Jae noticed it and untangled your hands leaning to get the remote. You look at him admiringly, watching his side profile as he scans movies and series to watch. He looks at you
" I might melt if you keep on staring at me like that" He said grinning ruffling your hair. "So Netflix and ...chill?" He said letting the last word 'chill' makes you blushed, we all know what that means right. Or maybe he's just innocent not knowing the double meaning of it.
"Oh netflix and ..chill? Okay." You replied looking at him as if challenging to do it. He looks at you amused ,he bites his lower lip and props a smile of defeat.
"So what do you want to watch?" He asked.
You removed your jacket and untie your ponytailed hair and crossed your legs and answered "YOU.."
You saw his face flushed bright red , he took a small pillow inbetween the both of you and put it his torso covering his front. He adjust himself and noticed his uncomfortable face. You gasped when you realized something.
"What the.. Did you just have a boner? " you laughed seeing his face shocked. He ignored your laughed and clicked 'You'. You start watching the first episode when he seemed uncomfortable in his seat, you stared at him smirking at the idea that crossed your mind. You just wanna get laid tonight. With Jae.
Jae was silent all the time he keeps shuffling his weight on the sofa . You suggested to watch something funnier and seeing his face relieves his agony of watching bed scenes with you, he's so cute you thought. You watched Yoo Byeong Jae's Black comedy sitcom TMI. Jae is enjoying it coz he starts to laugh his heart out at the comedians antics still the pillows in him though. You get comfortable at the sight and you scoot closer to Jae and lays down on his pillow. He stop laughing and you feel his intense gaze at you. You look up at him seeing his handsome face looking at you.
"What are you doing?" He asked, eyes went dark.
"Uh..getting comfortable? Is that a problem?" You replied fixing his gaze on him. You sat up and took the pillow and scoots closer until your shoulders brushed. He gulped and went back fixing his eyes on the monitor.
The sitcom finishes and you started to yawn, it's already 10pm and he hadn't made a move. Well, he might be not that interested on you. So you stand up and get your bag when he grabbed your wrist causing you to sat at his lap. His hand at your wrist and the other snakes into your waist to pull you closer. Your heart beats like crazy wishing for him to kiss you or not.. You will take the initiative to do it.
"You know it will never be the same if we continue this right? If we takes this deeply we will never be the same again . I wont see you as a friend anymore." He said fixing his gaze at you. You put your hands at his chest and felt his heart's beating rapidly.
"Yeah" you replied.
"You ready?" He asked looking at his shining eyes turns into lustful one you cant stand it.
"Try me " you said crashing your lips into his, gently at first familiarizing it, he bites your lower lip as he kissed you deeply more needs.
Hands roaming your body, you shifts until both your legs trapping his. You felt his growing erection in your wet clothed center. You gasped for air and look him in the eyes. He smiled at you stiffling a small laugh .
" I used to imagine this, exactly like this everytime you come around and just left when it's not going in the direction you dont want." He laughs between kisses. You confessed that there are times when the both of you just hangs out, until the talks become serious, gazes turns into almost kisses, you're the one who always backed out. Afraid that lust might ruin your friendship.
"It wont be like that, I really like you, you know.." He said kissing your neck the most sensitive of your body. "I like you too Jae, so shut up and kiss me" you said lifting his chin for a kiss .
He starts unbottoning your blouse, kissing your neck again as if it's the most delicious part of your body. You unclasped your bra and threw it on the floor, kisses down to your breast his hands cupping your other breast licking your nipples ,shivers comes down and you felt your center more wetter than before, you unzip his pants palming his erection, his groans is too loud it makes you eager to hold his dick. You continue to stroke his dick as he pulls you up pushing your remaining garments on the floor, he push his middle fi ger in your center and swirls around clit for lubrication, the sensation his fingers made you grabbed his dick harder. The both of you squirming in pleasure. He removes his pants and boxer and continues to play with your clit. He lays you down the bed, fingers going faster, you moan with delight whispering his name. "Jae..fuck it's too good" you squirm. "Yes babe, faster? He asked. Pushing his two fingers inside you. Penetrating his fingers inside you at the same time his thumb caressing your swollen clit. "Fuck it Jae! Faster!" You shout as his fingers went faster stimulating your clit, you felt your stomach twitching clearly your climax is coming " Yes babe! Cum for me. Okay. " Jae said curving his fingers touching the sensitive G-spot there. He thrust it deeper and faster as you felt your walls clenching. " Ah yes! Fck Jae im cumming! " your body shivers clenching his shoulders. You breathe heavily, Jae waiting for you to calm down. He kisses you passionately gently, both of you smiling between kisses. As the feeling subsidies you felt his growing erection unattented, you smiled looking at him lustfully, stroking his dick slowy but tightly. He moans as he shuffles you on top of him.
"I'll make you come harder than you ever did before babe" you kissed him as you pushed yourself inside him. "Fck babe your so wet! " Jae moaned . You pushed halfway and slammed his dick inside you, Jae gave out a loud moan and throw his head back . His hands roaming your body . You went faster and faster as he moans your name again and again. You felt him getting more harder inside you. You grind, letting yourself enjoy the pleasure for a long time. "Gosh! Your so good at grinding y/n?!" He said sitting up, you keep on grinding. Jae kissed you his hands on your hip. You pulled away as your knees went weaker. " Jae i'm tired" you said and stop thrusting. He switched you from top to bottom. He thrust into you deeper. Faster. "Jae come for me!" You said.
"I'll let you come first babe" Jae puts your legs into his shoulders "

Simon Vs Fan Fic: Chapter 5 - Beer Pong: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying & Love Abby and Nick
Ao3
The first show in the season was Spamalot. Nothing against the musical and to many, MANY people’s shock, it’s not my favorite show. Ian is also more of a stage and film actor, so he didn’t audition at all. Because of this, I have an ensemble role and dramatically less rehearsal time on the evening and weekends which left a hole that could only be filled by an Abby & Nick filled weekend extravaganza!
Too much? Oh well. They’re coming this weekend and it’s been needed since I haven’t seen them since the summer. Nick is tearing it up a Julliard in composition and is working a lot with both the vocal performers and the orchestra and has caught the eye of film studios in New York. Many people want to collaborate with him and it’s so great to see Nick become a break out star.
Abby has also had her share of business on the designing aspect. She designed sets for an off-Broadway production of ‘Reefer Madness’ as well as designed and created costumes for the school productions. She has turned into the stereotypical paint-covered human being who constantly hustles. Nick also connects her to his friends at Julliard to commission outfits for their recitals and even Glinda and Elphaba’s dresses for their performance of Wicked.
Needless to say, they are both constantly busy and we hear from them sporadically, but when we’re all able to connect, it’s like we never left Shady Creek. It’s what makes us work as a group: time has no impact on our friendships.
It’s been about a month since I spoke to Tracy and got her blessing and I’ve been coasting on happiness from her approval. One down, two to go, but Elijah has been more difficult to pin down for a talk.
Don’t get me wrong, Bram’s dad and I get along great, it’s just nerve wracking talking to any father of the person you’re planning on marrying. It’s scary, almost scarier than proposing to Bram. Why was it easier with Tracy? I guess easy was a subjective word. Maybe because we expect mothers to be more accepting than fathers. I don’t know if that’s true, but in this case of Tracy and Elijah, I think it is.
I try to call him and I always seem to get his voice mail. I’ll leave brief messages, but then he always texts back responding to whatever voice mail I left. It made me realize it’s probably why Bram acted the way he did in high school. Bram has grown since then, and I’d like to think I helped him. The only thing he didn’t out grow was how he surprised me with gifts in random spots he knew I’d look. Leah has helped him leave plenty of gifts for birthdays and for days that Bram just felt like sending me flowers or small care packages of Oreos. And he’s impacted me. I wear band shirts now.
“Yeah, he’s not the best person at communication,” Tracy told me when I called to ask for advice. “He means no ill will, Simon, understand that much.”
“Oh no, I don’t think that either. But do you think…and this is going to sound weird, but do you think there is any way I can sort of…trick him into seeing me in person?”
Tracy laughed over the phone as I stare my Elliot Smith poster above my bed. I put him there because now I think of Bram every time I see him. It makes me reflect on Bram boppin’ and groovin’ his head as he got himself to like Elliot Smith only because he was trying impress a boy in high school using a pseudonym.
“The only thing that man loves more than Bram is fishing. Talk him into a fishing trip and you got yourself at least a half-day with him.”
Great. Such a dad response to have to be distracted doing something else to talk about a totally unrelated subject. Also, as you may know, I never had the best time fishing. But it’s no longer about me, it’s about Bram and me.
“That shouldn’t be hard, New Haven is right on the water.”
“Sounds like you got this, son.” Tracy said with motherly warmth. It was weird to hear her call me son, but soon she wouldn’t be wrong to call me that. It’s becoming more and more real everyday that my future is rapidly approaching and it’s scary and new and fun and in the end I won’t be alone in my adventure. My heart beat increased and lips parted.
“Thank you…Mom.” I reply.
“Go get him tiger.”
The call ended and I let my phone fall on the bed. The fan rotated slowly around as it hypnotized me into thought. I thought about my life four short years ago. I had just discovered there was another person like me and the seemingly isolated journey of discovering I was a boy who liked boys was joined by another face. A Blue face.
Blue. Bram. Blue. Bram. Abraham Louis Greenfeld-Spier? Simon Jacob Spier-Greenfeld? Abraham Louis Speir? Simon Jacob Greenfeld? Which flowed off the tongue better? It just occurred to me that we’ll have to have that discussion of the last name. Or will we just keep our own? Should we create a new last name? I can cross that bridge later.
Bzzz.
Abby calling.
“Hey Abby,” I answer.
“Simon! Hi! How are you!?”
“Good, good,” I chuckle. “Are you guys close?”
“Yes we are, we’re about 10 minutes away. I miss you! You guys are still in the same apartment right?”
“You know it. Leah is not one to move more than she needs to.”
“Simon!” Nick yelled in the background.
“Nick says hi,” Abby confirmed.
“Everything is already set up, just waiting for you two crazy kids.”
“Prepare for a few drunken days, Si, it’s been awhile since either of us have been able to unwind!”
“She’s right!” Nick yelled again. “Stretch your liver, it’s going to get a work out.”
“Okay, okay, we’ll see you guys soon!”
“Byeeee!”
I go downstairs to see Leah and Ian chatting on the couch along with a few of Leah’s friends and some more theatre kids Ian brought with him.
“They’re almost here,” I announce.
“That means shots!” Ian shouts. “Last time they were here I made both of them puke and intend to do the same thing again!”
“I think they’ll actually be on board this time, I guess they’re been working hard and haven’t had a lot of time to unwind.”
“We’re about to change that!” Ian exclaims as he gets the other people in the apartment ready to play a drinking game in the kitchen. Leah and I are left in the living room with a few stragglers.
“Hey.” Leah said. “You okay?”
“Yeah, just a lot on my mind, ya know? School, proposal, things like that.”
“No…” she says, squinting her eyes. “That’s not all of it. What’s on your mind?”
“Nothing…I mean, I guess that Bram’s been a little busy and quiet on the talking front the last few days and I’m trying not to fall into old habits.”
Ugh. I hate myself sometimes. I know Bram is busy. He told me he would be busy, Bram’s Nick told me he’d be busy. I tend to get like this once or twice per semester and get over it after buzz texting Bram and talking it out with Leah (bless her heart). But I guess I’m more disappointed in myself that I’m letting past insecurities manifest.
“Come on, Si. You’re in the home stretch. Don’t retreat into the past, you’re moving forward with me.” Leah ordered.
She pulled me up and we headed into the kitchen to join the group for shots. Leah was right, I need to stop making assumptions. That was the old me. New me is positive and optimistic and…and misses Bram. Need alcohol to counteract these thoughts. Leah and her friends are talking about some boring Sociology professor when suddenly.
“Si!”
Abby and Nick were in the doorway with arms stretched out. These two will also counteract my thoughts. I downed my shot and ran over and hugged Abby who jumped into my arms and wrapped her legs around me like a spider monkey. It was her new college thing and it makes people like her. I squeeze her in our hug and I set her down as Nick ambles over and we hug, on the ground.
“Hey guys! How was the trip?” Leah asked.
“Good, but we need alcohol and Solo cups.” Abby said with a smile.
“We have the alcohol!” Nick shouted as he brought into what people colorly refer to as a ‘dirty thirty.’ For those who had better taste, a dirty thirty is a case of thirty swill water light beers and supply you with a health hangover the next day. That said, you can party longer because it’s mostly water.
“And we have the solo cups,” I finish Nick’s sentence.
“First game!” Ian shouts. “Le Burke, you and me against Simon and Abby!”
“You’re on!” Abby shouts as she pulls out some beers. The cups are filled as one does in a game of beer pong and the party begins. However, Ian comes over with additional beers and adds more beer to our cups.
“Hey now,” Leah started. “We’re not all trying to get Ian drunk tonight, just a normal drunk.”
“This is our last year, we gotta live it up, take risks, make mistakes, and geeeeeetttt messy!”
Ian’s been watching the new Magic School Bus episodes on Netflix. The cups were now about two-thirds the way full as Ian crushed the cans and chucked them in the trash. Beer pong always makes me think of Bram and the Halloween Party. Why isn’t Bram texting me back? I know he’s busy but...too busy for me? No! Leah’s right I need to get out of my head.
As the game unfolds, I’m making none of my shots as the ping-pong ball bounces around on the floor.
“Simon, what’s wrong!? Get your head in the game, we’re getting our asses kicked.” Abby pleaded. We only had four cups left and they had nine.
“Sorry! I’m trying, I’m trying.”
“Losers take shots, Simon!” Ian shouts across the table, pointing his finger at me. “And you take a shot of our choice.
My eyes widen. “Oh god please no-”
Ian pulls a plastic pitcher out of the fridge. Leah puts her hand over her mouth in shock and because she felt nauseated. One night after a party about year ago, Ian thought it would be a fun idea to pool any leftover liquor into a sort of community chest of booze. Since then, various liquors have swirled around in that plastic pitcher and on random occasions it has been used as punishment to losers of drinking games.
“You still have that in there?” One of our theatre friends said laughing. “Oh no, Si, you’re fucked!”
Abby turned to me with determination. “I’m not drinking from that pitcher.”
“Let’s step it up,” I reply, agreeing.
“No, you step it up, I’ve made all our shots!”
“Right, if we lose, I’ll take your shot.” I claim.
“You all hear that? That’s a verbal contract,” Abby shouts. I smile at here and notice Nick isn’t in the kitchen. I peak my head around the corner and see him in our living room (Ian’s bedroom) talking to a group of Leah’s friends. It’s strange, but we are playing a game in here so I suppose he got bored and left to mingle.
After drinking two beers, leaving us with only two cups left, I scored my first cup with a bounce.
“Yes!” Abby shouts as we high five. “That’s two and we get the ball back!”
“Good job, Spier! Finally good to see you woke up and joined the game!” Ian yells playfully. Leah, however, is not a nice as she knows what is on my mind and is pinching her eyes at me from across the table. She turns it off before Abby can notice and sips her beer.
“Re-rack!” I shout. “Diamond and one cup in front.”
“We got this.” Abby whispered as Ian and Leah arranged the cups per our request.
“We got this.” I reply.
We didn’t have it. I missed my shot and Ian and Leah both made their shots into the cups. And now I have to take two shots from the mystery pitcher as Abby Snapchats me doing so. Bram will probably see this and text me, right?
“Just think of it as a Long Island…but literally no coke, just pure alcohol.” Ian gloated.
First one down the hatch.
Uuuggghhhhhhhhh! What is that taste?! My face must have shown what my words didn’t because Ian, Leah, and Abby all laughed at my misery.
“Maybe one is enough,” Leah suggested, seeing my face, knowing my thoughts, and seeing where this could go.
“No way, verbal contract, Simon has too.” Ian defended.
I breathe in deeply and shoot the second down my throat. God! Is that industrial cleaner?! I put the shot class down and breathe through my mouth so I don’t taste the terrible flavor of old vodka, tequila, rum, and whatever the hell else is in that pitcher. The next game starts and we all go into the living room to sit and chat. Nick rejoins us as the people he was talking to followed their friends into the kitchen to watch the game.
“Simon, how are you? Why does it feel so long since we’ve talked? We saw each other last month!” Nick starts, clapping his hand on my shoulder.
The booze has started to take its swimming affect on my head.
“I know! It’s only been a month, but it’s felt much longer. I don’t know, we must just miss each other cause we’re good friends.” I say smiling and throwing my arm around his shoulder.
“That’s it.” Nick said, poking my chest with this finger.
Leah, Abby, and Ian were catching up just across the coffee table on the couch and I realized I haven’t told them about my proposal. I stand up.
“Hey, Abby, Nick, I have something to tell you guys.”
“You’re not going to break into another drunken monologue from a show, are you?” Nick says. “I mean, I love you, Si, but I don’t know if we’re drunk enough for that.” Leah and Abby laugh.
“No! I’m not drunk enough for that either. But no, I have something I want to tell you guys. I have decided…”
I pull out my phone and see no new notifications.
“Decided what?” Abby asks, snapping my attention back.
“Sorry, I have decided to propose to Bram.”
A scream louder than time emanates from Abby’s vocal cords as we all wait for it to be over and then she jumps up and down and back into my arms. People from the kitchen poke their head into the room to see if everything is okay and I give them a thumbs up. Nick is standing a smiling his wide Nick smile, all teeth. As soon as Abby releases me from her hug, Nick comes in and hugs me too.
“That’s amazing, Si. You and Bram are perfect together.” Nick says, sipping his beer.
“He’s so right!” Abby adds. “You two have been the gold standard of relationships since high school!”
“What about you two? You and Nick have dated as long as Bram and I have! If anything we’ve learned from each other.”
Abby pressed her lips and swallowed her smile. Her eyes looked at Nick who looked to the weathered carpet as his thumb flicked the lip of the solo cup. Leah’s eyes pursed as her eyebrows fell towards her ears, fearing for the worst. It was quiet for a bit as all of us stared at one another until I broke the silence.
“Did…did you guys break up?” I asked in a raspy voice.
Nick inhaled and took Abby’s hand. She shook her head and then her standard Abby smile returned.
“We did.”
My mind did back flips. How? Why? The only other couple that I’ve known my age to last as long as Bram and I did is ending? If they could end, can Bram and I end? Will he say no if I propose?
“You’re smiling?” Leah asked, eyebrow cocked. Her statement snapped me out of my thoughts and onto Nick and Abby who were, indeed, smiling.
“Yes,” Abby started. “Look, we would have told you sooner…but we didn’t want to send anyone into a panic.”
“You mean send Simon into a panic,” Leah corrected.
“Maybe.”
“But what happened?” I asked, drunkenly curious even though it was technically none of my business.
“Nothing really happened, Si.” Nick started. “It’s not like I cheated or she cheated or it was some big spectacle. It’s hard to explain, but it was a completely amicable and positive…finale to the romantic part of our relationship. Finales aren’t a bad thing, Si. Our relationship as friends and everything we shared during our time together isn’t gone, we’re not going anywhere from any of you, we’re not dividing up the friend group. Nothing’s changing.”
“He’s right, Si. Finale is the best way to say it. Now it’s on for another beginning for both of us.” Abby added.
“But I still don’t understand.” I utter, unable to be satisfied with the answer.
Nick was about to say something and stopped when Abby place her hand on his knee.
“Simon, we know how you are. And another reason we were waiting to tell you is because of how you’d react. The story is simple. We both realized one day that we were living the parts of being a couple and enjoyed it, but it lacked the…drive and depth of a relationship. When you’re surrounded by people who are good at being in a relationship and you see all the love and little quirks and dumb things and inside jokes but don’t see any of that in your own relationship, it raised red flags. Then when we thought about it and talked about it and it was like our relationship was on autopilot. We realized we love each other, but not in the romantic way we once felt.”
How long are Bram and I going to be together before he feels this way? When will he look at other people’s relationships, other boys and see himself happier and more alive with them? If Abby and Nick couldn’t make the cut, could Bram and I?
Abby knocked on the side of my head kinda hard because she was becoming irritated.
“Simon, don’t you for one second try to compare your relationship with Bram to ours.” She said pointing at me. “You weren’t inside of this relationship, you didn’t see it when it was just me and Nick, so there is no way you can compare it. Promise me right now, Simon.”
I stared at her, wiping beer from corner of my mouth.
“Promise me!” She shouted.
“Promise,” I comply. I do partially believe her. It doesn’t help all the way, but it helps a little.
“Told ya, Bram was ri…oh shit.” Nick started, and caught himself when it was too late. Abby slapped Nick’s knee and her bugged eyes stared lasers that burned through Nick’s skull.
“Wait, Bram knew you two broke up?” I question. Nick placed his head on his hand. “For how long?”
Abby stood up. “I need another beer.” She walked to the kitchen, leaving Nick in the mess he made.
“Okay, Si, you have to promise me you can’t get mad. We called Bram last month when it happened because we didn’t know who else to talk to about it who knew both of us so well. We wanted to tell you, dude, we did, but we know how you get and didn’t want to upset you.”
“Why wouldn’t Bram tell me?” I ask out loud, sipping my beer.
“Because we made him promise not to tell you, Simon, you can’t be mad at him. He promised his friends and you know how hard Bram takes promises. When he saw us he could tell-”
“He visited you in New York?”
Nick mouthed the word ‘fuck.’ Is that why he hasn’t been texting me much lately? Because if he can’t talk to me, he can’t lie to me? Our conversations have been light and fluffy, both on the phone and texting when we can. What else could he not be telling me then? Do I know Bram?
“Nick, go get a beer and send Ian’s ass in here,” Leah ordered, moving to the coffee table to sit directly in front of me. “If you don’t get out of your head right now about this Simon, you’re going to regret it.”
“Yeah, but-“
“No, Simon, no buts. You love Bram Greenfeld, he loves you, and the only thing he’s guilty of is being a good friend. If you needed him here, he would drop everything in a second and by any means come to your side. He is stupidly, grossly, uncontrollably in love with you. I hate to say this to you, Simon, because you’ve been so good about it lately, but don’t Spier this up.”
Ian walked in and could see the stern looks on our faces and his demeanor changed from one of partying to one of concern.
“Hey, guys, everything…good?”
“Talk some sense into him,” Leah said, “I need a refill.”
Leah never left unless she was upset. I know I may be drunk and I know I may be irrational because I’m drunk, but am I being that irrational? I don’t think it’s unfair to bring up the topic, for example, that Nick and Abby a least lived in the same city as each other. Did I not try enough to get into Baltimore? Did Bram not try hard enough to get into Yale?
“Abbs and Nick told me just now, that sucks man, but they seem happy so that’s what’s important, right?”
He was right. I close my eyes and throw my head on my hands.
“I’m being selfish, aren’t I?”
“No, no, no, dude, I totally understand. It’s natural to have these feelings, especially when you’re about to propose to your boyfriend.” He responded warmly. “But Bram is Bram, Nick is Nick, and Abby is crazy loud. Just cause they’re relationship didn’t work out doesn’t mean yours wont.”
I look up at him. His eyes appear unnaturally emerald. He smiles and lifts his eyebrows.
“You are welcome to feel about it how you want, but remember they need you here for them as well. And they came here to party and visit you. And Le Burke of course. They drove from the greatest city in the world to Connecticut to spend the weekend with you. Let’s show them a good time.”
Ian tapped and squeezed my knee…and a familiar…warmth…overcame me.
“Bucker up Buttercup and let’s rematch Le Burke’s ‘Sosh’ friends and show them how overly complicated actors can kick their butts at pong!”
He pulled me up with him and his bicep pressed against his t-shirt cuff in an impressive, masculine manner.
“Yeah, I’ll be in there in a minute. Thanks, dude.”
“Of course, Si. You got this man. You are so close to the finish line, focus on the prize.” He smiled, downed the rest of his beer, and winked at me with a follow up finger gun.
My head felt like it was floating as I found it bopping to the beat of the music.
Bzzz.
Bram Hi Si, I’m sorry I’ve been so busy lately. Nick told me he let it slip that him and Abby broke up. I’m so sorry, I wanted so badly to tell you, but I promised I wouldn’t. You understand, right?
I did understand, but my drunk mind was also upset that he couldn’t trust me with the information either. Was my drunk brain right? Probably not, but right now I couldn’t help but let that side of me take over. Mystery Pitcher was winning.
I do
. .. … Si, I know you’re not okay with it. I wish I could do something to make you feel better. Please understand your trust means everything to me. I love you <<33 And your big heart.
How dare he. How dare he do that to me right now. How dare he make me love him when I’m trying to be mad at him. How dare it kind of work.
I know it deos, and I do turst you.
“Si?” Ian peaked his head in. “Off your phone and out of your head and on this game of pong!” Ian’s head disappears.
My phone buzzes again, but I don’t look at it. If I talk to Bram more I will get over it and I want to be mad at him for a little longer. Irrational? Yes, but since when have I been a totally rational guy?
We lose that game too, much to Ian’s drunken and slurry shouts. I am to the point of being drunk where I can say I know I’m drunk and I tell that to myself. I also notice more of Ian’s arms and chest and has his butt always looked like that?
“Oh, wow. I’m drunk.” I say out loud. Ian looks over at me and laughs and I notice his hazel eyes, the kind of hazel when leaves are green-brown in the fall.
“That’s my cue,” Leah cuts in. “Off to bed, Si-Si.” She easily pulls my arm and sets my drink down while she leads me to my bedroom. She gets me into bed and I have been quiet the entire time.
“Am I a bad friend?” I ask in drunken honesty.
“No, Simon, you’re a great friend. We just…do certain things because we know that you are sensitive.”
“So I’m a bad friend.” I conclude. “You guys can’t even trust me with basic information about other friends. That doesn’t sound like a good friend.”
“Si, that has no correlation with being a bad friend. We all know each other’s…issues and know how to respond accordingly. I’d say you’d have to be a great friend for your friends care and do that for you.”
“Am I a bad boyfriend?” I ask, teary-eyed.
“Simon Jacob…no. You’ll feel better tomorrow. Water is on your night stand. Sleep.” Leah kisses my forehead and lets herself out. I stare at my Elliot Smith poster and think of Bram. I close my eyes.
I open my eyes ant sit up in bed to check my phone. I must have only fallen asleep for a few minutes because I still hear the noise of the party. I text Ian.
Can you come to my room?
. .. … Yeah! Be up in a sec.
I hear him softly open the door and Drake flowed in. He shut it behind him and Drake returned to being muffled. I personally like hearing Drake muffled. I feel him sit on my bed near my chest.
“What’s up? Everything okay?”
I sit up on my elbow and look at him.
“Yeah, just feel a little embarrassed.”
“Embarrassed why?”
“I feel like I let you down.”
“Dude, how? Here, have some water.”
Ian leans over to grab the glass and I couldn’t help myself. I kissed him. It felt weird, but it felt like a good kiss. He pulled back, shocked and breathing hard. I stared at his eyes and he stared back until he came in and kissed me back, pulling my head towards his, pressing our lips against each other.
I jerked awake in my bed and ripped the covers off my body to find it was morning. I ran out of my room and stomped down the stairs to see Ian sleeping on the couch, leg hanging out from under the sheet, mouth open, but not snoring. I shake him.
“Ian, Ian!”
He groggily opens his eyes in a confused manner.
“Wha-What? What’s wrong dude, is everything okay?”
“Did we kiss last night?!” I whisper scream.
“What?” he said in a more awake, but more confused tone.
“Did we kiss last night??”
“Dude, no, gross,” he said, a weight felt lifted off my chest. “You were pretty far gone and passed right out after we lost the game. Then Le Burke and I played and kicked ass again and I passed out here. Ask her yourself.” He tilted his head up at the stairs and I turned to see Leah, arms crossed, in her white, fluffy robe. I stand up from the couch and Ian almost immediately falls back asleep.
I remember then Bram texted drunk-me last night and drunk-me never read it because drunk-me is fucking idiot.
Bram You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You’ll never know, Si, how much I love you, so please don’t take my sunshine away.
My lip trembles and I can’t help but cry in the middle of the living room. Leah comes over and hugs the side of me as the sun cuts through our living room curtain and paints golden light on my chest.

Criminal Minds S06E18 “Lauren” review - or more aptly named, FUCK!
Episode 18 – Lauren
Hey ... I know, that was a very tepid ‘hey’ and I think you guys know why. Holy fuck, I hope this isn’t going where I think this is going, but as always, trying to be hopeful.
Also, this episode was directed by Matthew Gray Gubler ... so I don’t know what to expect anymore.
Let’s see what happens.
Flashback. Wait. Is this when ...
“Jack told me you were provisional IRA.”
“Except … Ian … That’s a protestant name, isn’t it?”
“Not a lot of protestants in the IRA. Or is that how you proved you were a good fighter, defending your mother for giving you that name?”
“Right now I’m trying to get into business with a former IRA captain. He’s gone freelance. You might have heard of him.”
“Valhalla.”
It’s when Lauren met Ian ...
Oh, she is so fucking hot.
Back to the present.
“I got four names on the bottom of the list Prentiss gave us. Luke Renault, Lawrence Riley, Lila Rafferty, Lyle Rogers.”
“All with the initials L.R.”
“The CIA uses cryptograms like that to assign to non-official cover agents working the same case.”
“So do other foreign countries.”
“These last four names are covers … spies.”
Considering the gravity of the situation, this shouldn’t be turning me on so much. but Derek in an authoritative/teaching position always gets my juices flowing.
“Wait. No. This isn’t right.”
My genius goddess to the floor.
“Do you see this space? That shouldn’t be here.”
“Could it be a formatting error?”
“No, this is a spreadsheet template. Formatting doesn’t allow for this.”
“There’s a missing name here.”
“It’s another spy whose cover is L.R.”
“Lauren Reynolds is dead.”
FINALLY!
“Lauren Reynolds is dead.”
“What?”
“Lauren Reynolds is dead.”
“Prentiss said that on a phone call seventeen days ago. But her intonation wasn’t surprise or grief. It was like a mantra, like she was reminding herself.”
“Lauren Reynolds. L.R.”
“If Prentiss is the last name on the list, she’s on Doyle’s list, too.”
“That explains her behavior the past month. The secrets, the evasion.”
“She’s been biting her fingernails again, too.”
“Guys.”
Oh dear fuck.
“She left her badge and her gun? Why would she do that?”
Oh my innocent babies.
“That doesn’t make sense. Why run?”
“We’re her family. We can help.”
“Doyle’s killing families.”
“She’s not married, not close to relatives. He was read to wipe us out.”
“She ran to protect us.”
Oh my fucking god, please find her soon.
“Battery’s dead, Fahey.”
“She’s a trained spy. She doesn’t want to be found.”
“She knows all of our tricks. We don’t know any of hers.”
“All right, then how do we find her?”
“Here’s how.”
“Ian Doyle’s our unsub, Prentiss is our victim. We profile their behavior and we treat it like any other case.”
“Because terrorism isn’t an area we specialize in, I’ve reached out to an expert from the State Department, someone who can also shed light on Prentiss’s past.”
“Who?”
“Her.”
“Let’s get to work.”
YES!
“How many men does Doyle have, Jack?”
“Any surprises?”
She already knows he’s there.
“I already do.”
“What are you gonna do, tell him?”
Did Prentiss just fucking shoot Jack? HOLY SHIT!
Elizabeth Bear: “The secret to getting away with lying is believing with all your heart. That goes for lying to yourself even more so than lying to another.”
“Okay, so I talked to a friend from Langley. He couldn’t give me Emily’s full CIA history, but he could give me this.”
“She assumed the identity of Lauren Reynolds as part of a special task force called JTF-12.”
“I heard about them. They were profiling terrorists, weren’t they?”
“Yeah, assembled after 9/11.”
“CIA and western agencies contributed their best and brightest.”
“But serial killers and terrorists have different personality traits. How does Doyle fit in?”
“He was their last case.”
“And now the JTF is on his hit list.”
“Jeremy Wolff was victim number one, from Germany’s BND. Sean McAlister at Interpol was the second. He was the one that brought the JTF in to work on the Doyle case. He was murdered last week in Brussels with his wife and daughter.”
“Tsia Mosely of France’s DCRI. She got engaged to Jeremy earlier this year. After he died, she fled to DC.”
“And team leader, Clyde Easter, British SIS. He hasn’t checked in since Tsia’s murder. He was also in DC.”
“Did JTF make the arrests?”
“No, the host countries handled that. The team moved on to the next case.”
“If all they did was deliver the profile, how does Doyle even know about them?”
“Well, considering the shadowy nature of terrorist cells, they utilize a skill we don’t … infiltration.”
“Who was undercover on Doyle?”
“Emily. She made contact with him in Boston to get intel on Valhalla. She was posing as another weapons dealer.”
“Look at how she’s dressed. She seems awfully comfortable.”
My hurt puppy.
“How close did she get to Doyle as part of her cover?”
“The recon they did on Doyle included a background of all of his romantic relationships.”
“Emily was his type.”
“She asked you to stop here yesterday?”
“Yeah.”
“Change her boots and … get whatever she needed, I guess.”
“It’s never easy, you know, having to dig through ha friend’s life.”
“But that’s not what’s bugging you, is it?”
“You’re angry because she crossed the line with Doyle.”
“No, I’m not.”
“I’m angry because a group of mercenaries just shot at me. I don’t much like being shot at, Rossi.”
“Prentiss knew exactly what was going on, but she didn’t bother to tell any of us.”
“She couldn’t without putting us at risk.”
“Come on, man, we don’t know that. All we do know is that she slept with a terrorist for a profile.”
“And instead of coming clean with us about her dirty laundry, she just ran with it.”
“You think it’s that simple?”
“Till there’s a reason not to be.”
“Well … here’s one.”
“That’s her passport, the real one. Now, if you wanted to vanish, wouldn’t you take that with you?”
“That doesn’t mean anything.”
“I worked with that woman for five years. I put my life in her hands. I called her my friend.”
“But right now I can’t even say that I ever really knew her. Can you?”
“There’s something down here.”
In the toilet? Ew.
“What do you got?”
“It’s called a Gimmel ring. The husband and wife-to-be wear individual bands during the engagement and at the wedding.”
“You see the markings in the middle? Gaelic. Doyle gave it to her.”
“The ring is more than just a souvenir. Otherwise, why hang on to it all this time?”
“Why hide it from us?”
“What makes you think she went to Boston?”
“Well, the Doyle case started in Boston. Maybe she’s going back to old locations trying to hunt him down.”
“If he had us in his crosshairs, she wouldn’t run. She’d take the fight to him.”
Hot Prentiss doing surveillance.
And shoot, now I’m gay.
“You always ride in the second car, why?”
Cuz the first car is always the one to get hit. God, that Ian is scaring me.
“Are you going to … take care of me?”
“Good.”
“I just … assume you’ll tell me when you’re ready to tell me.”
“It’s … it’s beautiful.”
I’m going to barf up my tea.
“Sir, Tsia got a hit on one of Clyde Easter’s cover. He’s on a plane to Boston as we speak.”
“Have him detained as soon as he steps off. We need to go. “Garcia, you’re coming with us.”
“Okay, yes.”
“Step back, sir. You’re being detained as a suspect in a murder investigation.”
Well, that’s gotta suck.
“Hey, it’s me. Hotch asked me to try all your numbers, and I have this as an old listing, and you probably don’t even use it anymore, but if it is you and you’re out there, come home, please.”
“God, Emily, what did you think, that we would just let you walk out of our lives? I am so furious with you right now!”
“Then I think about how scared you must be, how you’re in some dark place all alone.”
“But you’re not alone, okay? You are not alone. We are in that dark place with you. We are waving flashlights and calling your name.”
“So if you can see us, come home. If you can’t, then …”
“Then you stay alive. ‘Cause we’re coming.”
My fucking heart. I’m going to take it out of my chest and put it on hiatus.
“I only want Doyle.”
God, she’s fierce.
“Where’s Doyle?”
HE FUCKING SHOT HER!
“Emily walked into a trap.”
“It looks like Doyle got into the SUV, but from this angle, you can see that he didn’t. Which I wish the Boston PD would have told me before I started watching it.”
“Sorry again for the screaming.”
Oh my innocent honey.
“She threw a flash-bang grenade into a car.”
“She’s lucky the three people inside didn’t die.”
“Is anybody else bothered by that?”
“Well, three bad guys.”
“Illegal as it is, I think Prentiss knows she has to be as ruthless as Doyle.”
“He’s come to the US to wage a public vendetta and hired a group of mercenaries to remain loyal to him. He has nothing to lose, so she has to act the same way.”
“So how did Doyle know she was waiting for him?”
“Well, the mole must have told him, right? The same guy who’s been feeding Doyle the contractors and agents?”
“And our best suspect was just arrested with a suitcase full of cash.”
“How do we get Easter to talk? He won’t cooperate willingly.”
“I’ll handle that. The rest of you focus on Doyle’s location.”
“I hate to be the one to ask this, but how long does Emily have?”
“Her best chance is also the most troubling. Doyle saved her for last because he views her as his stressor. Which means he’ll take his time.”
I’m seriously worried right now. I am not liking this at all.
He’ s seriously asking her about the ring? It’s that important to him?
“I flushed it.”
She has tattoos?
“Yep.”
“And that’s enough ink, thanks.”
Oh my fucking god, he’s going to sear it into her flesh. STOP IT!
“Who’s that?”
“Jack Fahey, Irish mob. He called Easter’s call phone twelve times in six hours.”
“Any connection to Doyle?”
“Boston PD says he’s low level.”
“But the Irish mob has long-standing ties to the IRA, see if you can get anything out of him.”
So basically their only connection and possible lead is a fucking moron loser. Nice.
“Why are you doing this? Why are you keeping me alive?”
“I know what you want.”
“You want Lauren Reynolds back.”
“I can do that. I can be her.”
“I have no illusions. But I’m tired of this. Of being afraid.”
“October 2006, ‘In closing, I have never worked with a finer agent that Emily Prentiss. Her skill at analyzing and predicting terrorist behavior is unparalleled.’ Signed, name redacted.”
“You used all the right buzzwords, told us everything we wanted to hear.”
“You sold her to us the same way you sold Doyle to the North Koreans.”
“It takes a skilled sociopath to betray his team and the cause he held dear for self-preservation. If you cooperate with us and we save Agent Prentiss, then maybe we could talk about a deal.”
“But if anything happened to her, I will destroy you. You can count on that.”
“We’ll get Doyle with or without you. Pack lightly. Guantanamo gets humid.”
“You’re not the sociopath. Doyle is.”
“I thought you were a better profiler.”
Ooh, burn.
“Why were you calling Clyde Easter so much, Jack?”
“What do you think?”
“Narcissism masking deep-seated insecurity.”
“So if we puncture his self-image, this hood rat will talk.”
XD
“Well, you look like one.”
“You smell like one.”
“You smell that?”
“Hood rat.”
“Hey, Jack. Do you know what a hood rat is?”
Nope.
“See what I mean? He’s just gonna have to learn the hard way.”
“What happened to it?”
Prentiss happened to it.
Oh shit!
“Where’s Prentiss?”
“Lauren Reynolds. Where is Lauren Reynolds?”
“You tell us where she is right now, or I swear, I’ll send you to a prison where they’ll teach you what a hood rat is.”
Son of a bitch, I’m terrified of Rossi right now.
“200,000?”
“What other leverage do we have?”
“Is he an addict?”
“He’s having a nicotine fit.”
“We wouldn’t let him smoke.”
“We could use that. He’d relax, open his big mouth.”
“Is that enough?”
”Well, I’m pretty good with narcissists. Dated a few.”
“I’m looking to get into business with a former IRA captain who’s gone freelance. Valhalla.”
“I just wanted …”
Someone get Doyle already. Damn.
I love Rossi’s defensive side
“Mind your manners.”
“You’re already extorting us for Prentiss’s location.”
“So, just out of curiosity, what’s it like working for Doyle?”
“No! This was about you and me! That’s what you said! You and me!”
“Whatever you want to do to me, I accept, but leave them out of it.”
“Shoot Fahey. If he dies, my team doesn’t have anything.”
“Wow. I bet you’re his hookup, aren’t you? I mean, after all, you’re the man.”
Bad cop/sexy cop? Really?
Fuck. They took out Fahey.
“Down!”
FUCK!
“That’s not going to come out.”
“I know.”
“Ashley, we have a problem. Without Fahey, there’s not much left.”
“We all want to save Prentiss so bad that we can’t see this case straight.”
“We depend on the team member with the freshest eyes.”
“You haven’t worked with Prentiss for five years. You’re unprejudiced.”
“Now, what’s been bugging you since we left Quantico? How about the affair? That bugs me.”
“How does the two of them sleeping together change Doyle’s profile?”
“I don’t know.”
“Come on, Ashley. It’s textbook.”
“I haven’t read every textbook.”
“You want me to hold your hand?”
“Fine. What doesn’t fit?”
“Just say it!”
“What are you thinking?”
“Spit it out!”
“Why families?”
“Keep going.”
“Prentiss is Doyle’s stressor. He wants revenge on the woman who betrayed him, and I understand that. But why kill that child in DC?”
“There’s the agent I’m looking for.”
“Come on. Let’s get you a new shirt.”
One of the best scenes so far.
“So, assuming Clyde isn’t the mole, we looked through the JTF’s personal records again, and Jeremy made some fancy plans before his death.”
“Specifically, he bought a large estate in Spain …”
“He signed all the documents with one of his covers. Made a down payment in cash, deposited the rest.”
“So Jeremy sold the list to Doyle.”
“He was the first victim, killed quietly.”
“Doyle didn’t any attention until he was ready.”
“Did Tsia know?”
“I can’t tell.”
“If I were running from a terrorist, I would cash in my IRA. Not that one. The other … you know what I mean.”
“My point is, Tsia didn’t touch that money, so I don’t think she’s in on it.”
Lordy, I needed this scene. Both information and preciousness.
“Did you know that Jeremy sold the list to Doyle?”
“So when you got to DC, you couldn’t trust Tsia either. Prentiss read your doubt as duplicity and so did we.”
“Would you have told me?”
“Someone we both care about is in trouble. I need the original profile when Doyle was a terrorist. We combine that with who he is now as a serial killer.”
So they’re going to work together. About fucking time.
“Okay, so how does this fit in with who he is as a family annihilator?”
“And Prentiss’s role in it.”
“Annihilators have a romanticized view of who their family is.”
“Well, they think of their family as their possession, until some law shatters that and starts them killing.”
“Children?”
“You run your profile that he carried out his murders with surgical-like precision.”
“With no collateral damage.”
“Perhaps this child was a surrogate for one he had.”
“Say Doyle had a child and you didn’t know about it. Is it possible that Prentiss did?”
“Who else was in the compound the day that you arrested Doyle?”
“All Irish?”
“That’s a start.”
Oh dear fuck, that is so fucking cute!
“Four, five, six … Seven, eight, nine, ten. Ready or not, here I come!”
“Aww, I’m gonna get you!”
“I don’t see you. Ahh! I’m gonna get you!”
“Having kids?”
“Be a little hard with what we do, don’t you think?”
“I ... I thought he was your housekeeper’s.”
“I can’t do that. Not here.”
“Or … I could get you out.”
“I have resources. Contacts. He would be safer. And he’d have a father.”
“You want me to raise your son so he can have your life?”
“There are so many things I would do to make you happy. But … I can’t do this.”
So Emily gave Interpol photos of his dead son? WHAT THE FUCK?
“There’s something you don’t know about those photos.”
“I got him! Matched Irish immigration records based on Doyle’s employees.”
“Declan Jones, he’s the only boy who matches. He settled in Boston eight years ago, adoptive guardian Louise Jones.”
“Are they still alive?”
“Declan and his mother went missing seven years ago. Bodies never found.”
“Wait, what is this?”
“God, someone took pictures of them being shot.”
“Is there an address?”
“That looks like a warehouse.”
“It’s gotta be big enough to house a small army. That’s weapons, supplies.”
“Let’s see … which means, it has its own perimeter. I got it, 1518 Adams Street.”
“After your arrest, I relocated Louise and Declan. And then I got a call.”
“Interpol had sent back our profile. The Head of the Terrorism Division wanted more dirt on you so they could break you.”
“No. I wouldn’t let him be a pawn.”
“The things they would have done to get you to talk …”
“But I knew, even if I didn’t cooperate, they were going to find him eventually.”
“So I had to …”
“I had to end his suffering before it could begin.”
Did he just fucking slap her?
“Wait, wait, look at that.”
“Morgan, come look at this.”
“I put him in the profile after the pictures were taken.”
Okay ...
“It’s black clothing and a hand, Reid.”
“No, look at the fingernails.”
“Oh, my God!”
Oh shit!
“You don’t know when the pictures were taken. You don’t know that.”
“I’m the one holding the gun.”
“You want to hear his last words to me?”
“He said, ‘I looked pretty good for a dead kid, didn’t I?’”
“And then he got on the plane and I never saw him again.”
“Just because I held a gun to him doesn’t mean I shot him.”
“I only had to make you and the North Koreans believe he was dead.”
Hold up. She made it look like she killed Declan, but he’s actually alive? And they tortured Ian with it? OH MY FUCKING GOD! People are awful.
“Agent Prentiss is the only friend in the building. Rescuing her is our primary objective.”
“Our only advantage here is stealth. Once they know we’re on site, there’s nothing to stop them from killing her. So we keep it quiet until we get her.”
“I beat you, Ian.”
“Before you even got out of North Korean. I beat you.”
“’Cause I gave Declan his life back.”
“No, you won’t.”
“Ever since you told my people about Fahey, I’ve been stalling you.”
“Cut the power.”
FUCK!
“I got her!”
“I got her in the basement on the south side.”
“I need a medic.”
“Prentiss.”
“Hey, it’s me, I’m right here.”
“You’re gonna be all right.”
“Stay with me, baby.”
“Come on, stay with me.”
“Let me go.”
“No, no. I am not letting you go.”
“Help me!”
“Listen to me, I know why you did all of this. I know what you did for Declan. I’m so proud of you. Do you understand that?”
“I am proud of you because you are my friend, and you are my partner.”
“No, Emily!”
“Come on, stay with me.”
“If you can hear me, please just squeeze my hand.”
“Just keep squeezing.”
“No.”
The perfect word.
“She never made it off the table.”
“Spence.”
“I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.”
“Come here.”
This is too much for me. I don’t have anything to say.
Why are they talking behind closed doors?
Fuck.
“Passports from three different countries, and a bank account in each one to keep you comfortable.”
“Thank you.”
“Good luck.”
You have GOT to be kidding me! And Hotch knows
Walter Langer: “People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one. And if you repeat it frequently enough, people will sooner or later believe it.”
So ... once again I’m speechless. I just .. I can’t come up with a witty ending for this. So I’ll leave this hear, with me emotions frazzled, and I’m seriously hoping that this will rectify itself soon.
