Dream SMP Recap (June 6/2021) - Techno’s Visit
It’s time for Techno to visit Dream in prison. After saying some parting words to Phil, Techno goes to Pandora’s Vault for the first time...
Later, Quackity, Puffy, Bad, Skeppy and Michael tour around Las Nevadas for a fun chill stream, and Quackity recruits Michael as a worker to build in the city.
A brief summary of the week’s total events can be found at the end of the post.

VOD LINKS:
Technoblade
Ranboo
Captain Puffy
QuackityToo
Michaelmcchill
---
- Techno goes to speak with Phil before he visits Dream
- Phil gets a horrible canonical headache and Techno offers him a canonical aspirin
- Phil isn’t sure going to the prison is a good idea, as every time someone’s gone something bad's happened, but Dream saved Techno’s life. Also views
- Phil has his concerns, but Dream called in the favor. Techno thinks he should go and check on him anyways, even without Quackity. Dream’s been in there for five months
- Phil offers his help, but Techno doesn’t want Phil to take any risks paying off his debt
- But there is something Phil can do: Techno wrote a will. He throws a signed book to Phil. Phil asks how many days he should wait. Techno says it varies. The instructions are in the will
Techno: “I took a vow. Those who treat me with kindness see it repaid tenfold...I gotta honor that.”
- He rings the channel member bell
- Techno wonders if he can bring Steve, but probably not. He says goodbye to Phil and heads off for the prison
- He makes it to the prison entrance and says hello to Sam, who welcomes him through the portal
- Techno says he’s come to visit Dream, but Sam says he’s not allowing people to visit right now. Techno throws Sam a book:
---
FIELD TRIP SLIP
---
Sam. Technoblade will be paying Dream a visit. This is business related. Let it happen.
It’s also tax write off :)
- Quackity
---
- Techno reads the waiver aloud and signs it “Techno Blade”
- Sam then asks the questions:
“When is the last time you visited the prison?”
“I have not visited the prison before”
“Where is your place of residence currently located?”
“I live in like this cabin in the north, it’s pretty chill.”
“Do you believe that the prisoner is deserving of being locked up?”
“I’m gonna be honest, I have no idea why he’s in there, so...”
“Are you saying no?”
“I’m not saying, like, yes or no, I don’t really -- I’m not really up to date on the news recently, if I’m being honest.”
“What are your prior relations with the prisoner?”
“Yeah, we’ve been business associates I’d say, in the past, you know. I wouldn’t say I’m like friends with him, honestly -- he’s kinda sus...I’m not gonna lie, it does not surprise me at all that he ended up in a jail, ‘cause that guy -- he’s a little weird sometimes, you know. A little strange...So you know, it’s, eh...it’s up and down.”
- Sam gets to the last question, telling Techno he’s the ultimate authority on the grounds of the prison
Techno: “Oh I love authority, everyone can tell you that.”
- Techno goes to store his belongings in the locker. There’s a bed in an item frame now which he uses to set his spawn. Techno opens up his Ender Chest and stores all of his armor and weapons in it
- Having run out of space in the Ender Chest, Techno puts his remaining items in the locker chest: Potions, gapples, golden carrots, an Ender Chest, Ender Pearls and a stack of stone
Techno: “Well. You know, you seem like a trustworthy man.”
- They go through the security protocol. There’s a new Ender Pearl stasis chamber in the first room that wasn’t there before. Techno zooms in on it before it activates, teleporting Sam in
- Techno’s impressed with the prison’s design. He gets Sam to open the vault door a second time to admire it
- Techno signs the next waivers “sub to techno” as “Technoblade (subscribe to technoblade”
- Techno praises Sam’s creativity with the prison, comparing it to the Butcher Army’s simple execution platform
- The lava wall comes down. Dream isn’t facing them
- Techno walks with the moving platform to the cell. The second Dream sees him, he starts shouting
Techno: “Yo, Dream! Dream, what’s up!”
Dream: “TECHNO NO! NO!”
Techno: “No what?”
Dream: “QUACKITY -- it’s a trap! It’s a trap! Techno--”
Techno: “What about Quackity? Dream, you need to -- I haven’t seen you in a long time, Dream.”
Dream: “(muffled) Techno...He’s been torturing me I gotta -- I didn’t write that note.”
...
Techno: “I’m not gonna lie to you, Dream, I -- I kinda had a feelin’ he was lying, but I kinda had to visit anyways, just to see how you were doing, get to the truth of things, you know? You know? And besides, Quackity’s not even here, man.”
Dream: “...Why did you come?”
Techno: “I wanted to see you! I need to figure out what’s going on here, Dream, and between you and me, I’m an anarchist, so uh -- (looking to Sam) Can he hear me at this volume?”
Dream: “They’re working together...”
Techno: “Who?”
Dream: “Sam and Quackity!”
- Techno asks Dream to tell him everything. Neither the lava wall nor the Netherite barrier have lowered yet
- Techno looks back at Sam, asking how long he has to be in there for
Sam: “I think you could do with a nice long stay with Dream...you’re probably the main threat to uh -- to Dream escaping, aren’t you, ‘cause you know, the two of you have worked together before, and...”
Techno: “I...would never defy authority, alright. I. Love. Authority.”
Sam: “I think we both know that’s probably not true--”
Techno: “Everybody will tell you how much Technoblade loves authority figures.”
- Sam refuses to send the bridge back, saying the two of them will have some catching up to do. He sends the lava wall down
Techno: “Sam, this is NOT DOING MUCH TO CHANGE MY POLITICAL OPINIONS!”
(Dream freaks out in the background)
Techno: “...Alright. Well that was nice.”
- Dream panics. Techno tells him it’s fine, that they’re not out of options
Dream: “I have been in here for six months! What do you mean we’re not out of options, it’s fine -- how?!”
Techno: “Well I mean, maybe you’re out of options, but like I actually have friends now. I know I was kinda like a loser when we first met...”
- He finds the books and quills and tells Dream to write down everything he knows about the prison
Techno: “So...hows it goin’, roommate?”
Dream: (quietly) “Oh my god...”
- Techno seems optimistic about the new experience. Dream tells him he used to have a clock as Techno examines the cell
- Techno tells Dream to get to writing and ends stream
- Ranboo goes back home and is confused by how much the trees have grown. He thinks Phil probably has something to do with it and that he knows something, even though Phil isn’t doing it himself
- He then goes mining
- Quackity does a chill stream on the SMP working on the roads of Las Nevadas while chatting about lore out of character
- He walks down the Prime Path when he gets suddenly jumped by Skeppy and Bad, who attack him together. Quackity threatens to blow up their house
- Captain Puffy joins the fray and stops them
- Quackity offers Puffy and Michael a tour of his country
- He goes eating at McPuffy’s and Michael comes over to give him food as well
- There’s a hostile takeover of McPuffy’s and Bad declares it McSkeppy’s now. Quackity takes the drive-through instead
- Quackity orders a BTS meal and Bad hands him a steak “with extra cruelty”
- He starts walking them all over to his country, asking them what their expectations are (Quackity talking to Bad at this point is non-canonical) Skeppy wants a lot of ducks
- Quackity falls into the Punzo Chunk
- He tells them that his country isn’t even near done, and he’s going to need a lot of cheap labor. Skeppy says it doesn’t sound very enticing, but Quackity says he’ll give him all the ducks he’d want.
- Michael tells him about his experience with 2b2t
- Quackity shows him the concept of “the house always wins” (a picture of “Finding Doryto”)
- Quackity kills Skeppy and Skeppy logs off. Bad is horrified. Quackity tells Bad it isn’t his fault that Skeppy is dead as Bad buries Skeppy’s dropped things beneath the ground under the Needle
- Quackity shows the remaining people to the gambling machine, teaching them how it works
- Afterwards, he takes them to the strip club and starts stripping at the pole
- He takes Michael into the back, where he tries to mug Michael for his things. But Michael runs out the back door
- Quackity goes back to stripping and offers Bad to go into the back room for a “surprise.” He tries to mug Bad, but Bad goes running out the back door
- He returns to Puffy, defeated, and half-heartedly promises her a surprise in the back room too. Puffy, not at all suspicious, follows him and he tries to mug her. She gives him ink sacs, slabs, Ender Pearls and shears.
He shows her out the back door
- Afterwards, Quackity takes the three of them to the Tommyinnit Restaurant
- Then they go to the stage and Quackity puts on a “show” for them...
...Which is more stripping
- Next up is the hotel. There’s nothing in it, so he takes them to the pool outside. Bad almost drowns
- He wants to show them “something embarrassing,” so he brings them to Tommy and Wilbur’s headquarters
- Quackity then shows them the Eiffel Tower to conclude the country tour and they argue about a trident
- He suggests Michael and Puffy possibly build some structures around Las Nevadas and gathers them at the Needle. He shows Michael the empty plot next to Fundy’s area and says he needs something put there in return for some free spins at the casino. Michael’s down for that
- Quackity tells Puffy and Bad to help Michael build there. Bad asks how much he’s getting paid, and Quackity says he gets free spins at the casino too. Bad and Puffy start arguing again and Quackity leaves, having gained a new worker
- Bad and Puffy continue to argue about the trident
- Later, Michael builds a statue in Las Nevadas

Hello it's me and I love all of your drabbles about Techno x reader so far😍🥰. Your one of my favorite writers here in tumblr and if it's not too much to ask. Can you make a drabble where a reader is sick and all of the dream smp members and the sleepy bois are getting worried and panic(only to some members of the smp and this is not related to any of your drabbles recently. This is where the reader is single actually and has no relationship to anyone...yet😏). They only notice something wrong when one day the reader doesn't do their morning routines where she delivers some supplies that were asked by her friends in exchange for new and valuable things. And don't forget to stay safe and healthy 😘☺️.
Of course! Thank you so much for you super kind words!!
So you would wake up one morning and just be feeling absolutely miserable. You knew you were sick and that there was no way that you were going to be able to get out of bed. You feel really bad because you usually deliver the things that people had asked you to collect for them in the morning and pick up new “orders” that anyone might have, but this morning there is no way that you’re going to be able to do that. And you can’t even find the energy and strength to send out a message letting everyone know what was happening. You just roll over, bury yourself in the covers and fall back asleep.
At first, everyone is just confused. They’re all in their respective homes just waiting for you to arrive and deliver their things. They’re always really excited for this because they get to see you and talk to you for a little bit before you go on your way to the next person’s house. But as time goes on, everyone begins to get more and more concerned. You definitely should have been here by now, you’re never late, where are you. They all try separately to get in contact with you, but when all messages go unresponded, panic begins to build. I feel that Sapnap would be the first to act. He would go over to Dream’s house and ask if you had gone to his house yet. Dream tells him no and asks him the same question and Sapnap would respond with something sassy like, “Would I have come over here to ask you if they had”. Dream rolls his eyes but let’s the comment slide. So the two decide to visit everyone else and make sure that they just didn’t get skipped. As they visit houses, they’re group grows because everyone wants to make sure that you’re okay. So that by the time they get to Techno’s house (we’re going to pretend he lives in L’Manberg) almost the entire SMP had formed in one major “mob”. When Techno says he hasn’t seen you, the group just bursts into a lot of noise and connotation. Everyone began trying to talk over one another trying to decide what the best course of action was. It’s actually Tubbo who lets out a scream and gets everyone to shut up for a moment. “Thank you! Now why don’t we just go over to their house and see if they’re there? There is no use in panicking until we’re sure they’re not okay.” And everyone begins to grumble at that because ‘man they should have thought of that’. But everyone agrees and so this massive group quickly makes its way across the SMP to your house. Niki is the one to knock on your door to be polite, but when there’s no answer and everyone begins to murmur again trying to decide what to do, Tommy shoves his way to the front of the group and just kicks in the door. Some stare in shock, others are impressed, but Tommy just moves into your house with everyone following behind him.
While you’re asleep, you here your front door bang open, but you’re too sleepy to really care or comprehend what’s happening. But then there are many sets of footsteps and there’s murmuring heading down the hall to your bedroom. You manage to pry your eyes open blearily as your bedroom door is opened and literally everyone pours in. “Y/N!” They all shout with glee. It makes you wince because your head is killing you, only a few people notice. The rest begin to try and talk all at once, causing the noise level to increase and you to bury your face in your covers. It doesn’t seem to stop but suddenly there is a pressure on the side of your mattress and the covers are pulled back from your face. “You alright?” It’s Philza who is staring down at you in concern. “‘m sick,” you manage to croak out causing his face to contort. “Head hurts, body hurts. Too much” you mumble. Philza’s gentle hand rests on your forehead and he winces at the feeling. “Guys,” he speaks softly. And although it’s loud and his words are soft, everyone shuts up and turns to look because it’s Philza and he’s beside you. “They’re sick, if you could keep it down. I’m sure they would much appreciate it.” A lot of them look like deer in headlights for a moment, mainly Sapnap, Dream, Punz, Fundy, Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo and Quackity. “Oh poor baby,” Niki murmurs out in pity.
But then she jumps into action, “I’ll go make some soup, Fundy and Bad, you’re with me.” the two called get big smiles and nod. “Philza and the eldest two sons you get them medicine, cold rags, things like that.” Philza gives you a soft smile, a kiss on the forehead, and then gets up to stand by Wilbur and Techno. “Sam, Puffy, and Quackity. You’re in charge of taking the supplies that they were going to deliver to us today and distributing it to us. Y/N probably has a list and a chest where they store these things,” Niki looks over to you and you give a small nod, “Yeah, it’s right by the front door. The list should be in the item frame above it.” the three also give you big smiles and thumbs up. “Next, if you are under the age of 18, you’re in charge of making sure that Y/N has all the supplies that they need. Wood, cobblestone, stone, food, just all the materials they may need. Got it,” Tubbo and Ranboo give thumbs up but Tommy looks like he’s about to complain. One sharp glare from Niki, though, gets him to shut his mouth and nod begrudgingly. “What about us?” Punz questions, motioning to the four boys that were left. Niki looks over at you and then over at them and gives them a small shrug and a big smile, “You boys, Dream, George, Sapnap, Punz, are on cuddle duty”. The four let out loud cheers at that. You don’t even mind the fact it hurts your head because it makes you feel so loved that they’re cheering over cuddling you. Sapnap actually doesn’t wait for a ‘okay go do your tasks’. He literally just runs over to your bed and plants himself down on top of you like a blanket. “No fair!” The other three whine out before also rushing over to settle into a comfortable position. You are overwhelmed with love and support when Niki calls out for everyone to go and they all spring into action and just bustle around your house. Phil, Wilbur and Techno bring you water and medicine and towels and just everything you could ever want or need. The boys around you are snuggled into you so tightly that you are just so comfortable and could fall asleep again. Someone is playing with your hair. Another is rubbing your back. Another is messing with your fingers and someone’s fingers are trailing up and down your tummy and thighs. Philza helps you drink in a way that you don’t have to move that much and Wilbur brings up another blanket and tucks you five in while Techno places a cool rag on your forehead.
After a while, BBH comes up to tell you that the soup is ready and then without another thought, you’re being carried downstairs. Somehow, your kitchen table has been extended and there is a place for everyone. Sapnap and Punz help you sit in your seat before sitting beside you. Punz holds one of your hands while Sapnap literally feeds you the soup and everyone stares at him in jealousy because they wish they would have thought of that. As you’re eating, everyone tells you about how the jobs they were assigned got done and how you don’t have to worry about anything. After eating, many people have to leave to get back to what they were doing, but many stay. There’s probably more than ten people on your bed after lunch, you didn’t even know it could fit that many, but you don’t mind. It’s nice and even though you’re sick, you’ve never felt better.

CONFRONTATION. || DreamSMP
An analysis on Ranboo’s January 30th stream, meant to pick apart c!Ranboo’s complex relationship with reality and the voices in his head. This will be broken up into three (3) parts: introduction, stream analysis, and conclusion.
cw unreality, derealization, etc.
INTRODUCTION.
Before we start, I want to make clear that this is just my personal reading of the stream’s events, and as such it may not be the same as yours, and that’s okay! Critical reading is all about how one work can be viewed through a variety of lenses to yield very different conclusions, and the validation of one does not immediately mean all the others are Bad and Wrong.
We all got that? Cool.
Now, a common theory being tossed around at the moment is the idea that the entire stream was a dream (ha) or hallucination. This possibility is somewhat backed up by a few observations I will point out in the rest of this post, but for the sake of seriously dissecting this dream into truths and untruths, I will not be assuming that everything that happened was fake. I’ll delve a little deeper into why this theory doesn’t completely convince me in the conclusion, too.
STREAM ANALYSIS.
Aw yeah, here comes the frame-by-frame analysis of 41 minutes of footage.
... Well, kinda. Let’s start with a play-by-play instead of a frame-by-frame, yeah?
At 2:45 into the stream, Ranboo starts out in the panic room, looking at the “You are fine” sign. He says that Sam told him he can visit Dream (”him”) today, and reflects on the fact that he’s no longer looking for clarity or confrontation (me, looking at the stream title: uh,) but rather to make Dream think about what he did.
“He deserves to know what he did.” (Ranboo at 3:47)
“I’m gonna tell him what those thoughts are.” (Ranboo at 3:55, which is an... interesting remark, seeing as the voice in his head that sounds like Dream has been trying to tell Ranboo what his thoughts are. But it doesn’t mean anything substantial.)
Vibe check so far? REAL. Nothing appears to be out of place in the panic room. Ranboo is nervous but keeping it together and talking himself through it. Sounds great!
After a bit of psyching himself up (and noticeably declaring his memory book to be the only one that hasn’t been tampered with), Ranboo starts towards the prison. He’s scared and doesn’t know why, but he’s gonna do it.
One thing of note is that he passes by Sam Nook’s construction site, and the place’s big map sign thing never quite loads in properly. The whole thing just stays black. Suspicious, but those maps are honestly kinda glitchy at loading in anyway because they’re entities instead of blocks. Or maybe Sam Nook’s doing some prep. (Edit: more likely is that this is a clone of the Dream SMP server for the sake of what they’re about to do to the prison, and it doesn’t have the map plugin, so all the picture maps in the world are broken.)
As the prison comes into view, he continues talking to himself (he’s never been to prison, apparently; he’s been inside Pandora’s Vault before, but not as a prisoner). He thinks about the fact that he could get rid of Dream if he wanted to, but no, he couldn’t.
The prison entrance portal is actually already lit. Ranboo isn’t sure what he’s supposed to do but eventually hits the button.
After quite a bit of waiting, Sam eventually greets him (13:32) and invites him to step into the portal. Ranboo goes through the portal and appears in a warped forest biome.
This is incredibly suspicious. The prison’s nether portal is supposed to be a customized portal in six (6) layers of obsidian that floats over a sea of lava. In fact—and I will come back to fix this if I’m mistaken—I’m pretty sure the portal resides in the fringes of a basalt delta, not a warped forest. You can see a bit of a basalt delta poking over the warped fungi in the distance, but Ranboo is very clearly in the wrong spot.
So why the warped forest, the wrong biome and the wrong portal? It probably has something to do with the fact that Ranboo is part enderman, and enderman live in the warped forest. With the End forbidden and unknown (seeing as Techno and Phil had no idea what an End Portal was), the warped forest is likely the closest thing endermen as a species can call home in the Dream SMP.
Anyway. This is the earliest instance of either a brief hallucination or Ranboo losing his connection to reality altogether.
Ranboo goes through the portal when instructed to by Sam and properly appears in the prison’s interior portal, facing Sam at his warden’s... desk thing. Sam has Mining Fatigue right now, by the way, as seen by the particles. Ranboo is then teleported to Sam (14:20) for some reason (maybe because, behind the scenes, he was in a duped prison portal in order to make the warped forest thing happen), appearing to be inside Sam’s space before he moves back out. They do not acknowledge this.
Sam does the same series of questions to Ranboo that he did to Tommy. Ranboo says that he has not come to the prison before or even spoke to Dream before, and expresses to Sam his desire to bring his memory book along. Sam agrees on the condition that he holds onto it during the way there.
Side note: Ranboo does not get Mining Fatigue until he’s already inside the prison and being questioned. (14:47) This is quite different from the timing when Tommy got Mining Fatigue in his visit, but considering the fact that we don’t know the placement of the elder guardians or even how many there are, this could just be natural variation...
Anyway, Ranboo does the same thing we saw Tommy do with the locker and the examinations and whatever, except that Sam is... more cordial. Nicer. This is vaguely suspicious, but he’s been a little softer since his encounter with the Crimson and he has a clear soft spot for the kids. Tommy also is very different from the clearly nervous Ranboo (Sam points out that Ranboo is nervous later on, around 20:01, so he definitely noticed), so he could have just been being nice to the poor traumatized kid... Or maybe this is just a Sam constructed from Ranboo’s memories of a nice person, and not the real one. It’s not very clear but could be swayed in either direction.
One odd thing—Ranboo took quite a bit to die to the harming potions, and I feel like Tommy died faster, but I’ll have to check. It’s as though Ranboo got Harming I instead of Harming II? Sam even comments that it “took a minute” (19:12). Also, Ranboo loses his levels in this process, so, uh, if his next stream he appears with levels, that means there’s something happening that we ain’t seeing.
A skeleton dies somewhere offscreen lmao.
Ranboo is immediately re-inflicted with Mining Fatigue every time he dies, by the way, so they’re definitely within range of the elder guardians.
Ranboo endures the water section of the trip and it sucked but he seems about the same level of nervous as before, so. Sam takes the time to reassure him and give him the memory book at the last step before the cell itself.
“He [Dream] shouldn’t misbehave, he knows what happens when he does.” (Sam at 25:23, he still got that bit of ruthless warden in him.)
Vibe check again—this prison, physically speaking? Seems real. It’s possible that Ranboo could be drawing on memories from his other self, but considering that he has never been to the prison before, the fact that the prison is the exact same as the real prison that Tommy went to seems to indicate that this is a real experience.
Ranboo’s Mining Fatigue gets refreshed, so looks like the elder guardians reach here too. Dream has the Mining Fatigue particles as soon as he comes into view. (Only pointing this out because it notably took Dream a long time to get Mining Fatigue back when Tommy visited him.)
A weird sound happens at 27:31. Not sure what that’s about.
The lava curtain comes back down, and Ranboo turns around to see Dream. His screen shakes a bit as he turns, which could be anything from lag (there’s a lot of lava moving right now) to nerves (both in-character and out). (Edit: confirmed in the chill stream following that he was just nervous, and feeling his character’s nervousness.) First thing of note, here: the item frame holding the clock on the wall is transparent. This is a texture pack thing, presumably—could be the same thing that fucked up the construction site’s map sign earlier, maybe it’s even just the texture pack that some members of the SMP have installed for the chess thing—but it’s still something to notice.
Dream greets Ranboo with quite a bit of joy and energy, and says it’s not a surprise for Ranboo to visit, and altogether makes numerous implications that he and Ranboo’s other self have been conversing a lot in the times that Ranboo doesn’t remember.
“We’re best friends, right?” (Dream at 28:19, and I better not see any serious remarks about gaslighting here Dream is actually telling the truth, he just has not realized that this Ranboo doesn’t remember their conversations.)
“I’ve probably talked to you more than I’ve talked to anybody on the entire server.” (Dream at 28:27, indignant at Ranboo’s claim that they’ve barely talked, which. Yeah. I mean this whole thing could be a lie or fake but... I don’t know, I’m not convinced.)
Ranboo, whose understanding of his relationship to Dream is very different from Dream’s apparent understanding of their relationship, claims that Dream is just trying to scare him. Dream sounds confused and asks, “Why are you acting different?” (28:45) so he’s definitely not had dealings with this (awake?) Ranboo, but rather the... other set of memories.
“Ooooh.” (Dream at 28:56, which I think marks the moment he realizes that this is the other Ranboo, and it isn’t the one that he normally speaks with.)
Dream continues to say that he’s glad that Ranboo’s come to visit, that Ranboo’s been a great helping hand, and Ranboo immediately accuses him of somehow knowing about the whole panic room situation, and after Ranboo declares that he’s not going to let Dream trick him into thinking that he did those things—
“But you did do those things.” (Voice at 29:36)
Voice is always fake; it’s not “real” (audible by anyone else), and it’s not Dream.
Kudos to cc!Dream, by the way, his tone audibly changes when he switches into Ranboo’s Voice. This, I believe, is the turning point of the stream. The Voice returns, marked by the tone difference from c!Dream and also by the constant referral to Dream in the third person.
Now, here’s the interesting thing. The Voice claims that the reason why it went away is because Dream was put in prison and thus they haven’t been talking as much, which leads to Ranboo forgetting how Dream sounds like and thus robbing Voice of that, well, voice. (29:58) The implication here is that the reason behind Dream’s voice being the Voice of the “other” in Ranboo’s head is because the other just talks to Dream a lot.
Ranboo questions the third person thing, asking if he’s gone insane in prison, and there’s a pause, and then Dream says, “You’re right, you’re right. Yes, yes, there’s not much to do here.” (30:20) The tone shift is a little more subtle here, but the way Dream responded—it’s like he was responding to something else. “Have you gone insane” doesn’t usually lead to “You’re right”, because that’s a question, not a statement.
We’re real again, folks. But only briefly. Actually, it sounds like real Dream has been talking to someone while Ranboo was talking with his Voice, and when Ranboo heard him again, he was mid-conversation. Dream may have been speaking with that other Ranboo and we as the audience and Ranboo simply couldn’t hear.
Dream apparently doesn’t like his clock (30:32), and then prompts Ranboo to see what he’s been writing. In suspiciously good timing, we hear the elder guardian’s curse go off again to refresh Mining Fatigue, and then Dream hands Ranboo a book.
Here, the unreality really sets in.
The book is named Do not read. (30:47) It is a precise copy of Ranboo’s memory book, and when Ranboo checks Dream’s chest full of books, they are all named Do not read. and have the same contents. What appears to be real Dream invites him to look through them, and as Ranboo panics over this, what appears to be the Voice rather than c!Dream tells Ranboo that he needs “to face the truth” (31:18).
Ranboo says the truth is that Dream is a terrible person who hurt others.
The Voice says the truth is that Ranboo helped “me”. (31:35) Now, I can’t tell if this is a slip of the tongue on cc!Dream’s part or on the Voice’s part, but he does correct himself and say “Dream” after, so take that how you will.
At this point, the Dream on the screen’s body language starts to match up with the Voice (moving while it talks), and the Voice claims “I’m not even Dream,” which lines up with its prior claims that it is just another part of Ranboo.
Ranboo tries to rationalize the situation, assuming that the real Dream is speaking right now, but the Voice refers to Ranboos memories in the first person (“I know what I went through because I’m you,” 32:01), reinforces the fact that “you” (Ranboo) use to talk with Dream every day, and the only reason the Voice stopped happening is because he couldn’t picture Dream’s voice after not speaking with him since Dream went to prison.
“He [Dream] would tell you [Ranboo] things to do. You were like his little... servant.” (Voice at 32:24)
Ranboo refuses this, the Voice continues to insist that he did help Dream, Ranboo asks why he doesn’t remember, and Voice says that he does; the Voice remembers, and the Voice is Ranboo.
And then the Voice says, “I’m not even real,” and the Dream on screen vanishes.
We don’t see a logout message on screen, but Ranboo isn’t in f1, so Dream probably either /tp’d somewhere OR switched to spectator mode. Ranboo suddenly gets the Nausea effect, panics and looks at the chest and says that he got rid of the voice, but the obsidian starts falling (gravity applied to the cell, hope they have a backup of the server to rollback to or let themselves use creative lmao) which unveils some details in the Pandora’s Vault inner chamber that I’d love to dissect but not now, and then Ranboo "hits the ground too hard” and dies.
Of note: Ranboo’s death screen is not vanilla. The word “Died” is capitalized where it shouldn’t be, and even though Ranboo lost his levels dying on the way in, his score is 206810. I bet that’s a code for something but I have no idea what for.
(I typed 206810 into my search bar and got a hex code for green. Yeah. Darker than what you’d associate with Dream, but... green.)
And then we have morse code crown and smiley that’s supposed to say “not free yet” or something but apparently there’s other translations because cc!Ranboo might’ve hecked it up a little bit. Oops.
But yeah, there you go! That’s the stream.
Not once does Ranboo press tab, by the way. Something makes me think that that might be because they’re not on the real Dream SMP—also to, you know, avoid having to rebuild the prison.
CONCLUSION.
I do think the prison visit is real at first. Ranboo falls in and out of contact with reality, and the warped forest is definitely fishy, but the layout of the prison is too precisely accurate to be wholeheartedly dreamed up. He’s never been there before, after all, and Sam doesn’t correct him—which could mean that Sam is fake and Ranboo is drawing on those other memories, but we never see Ranboo use memories he doesn’t have, he just acts on emotions and feelings that his other self seems to have.
So, the moments that are “real” are Ranboo walking to the prison, through the prison, and the first part of his talk with Dream. He clips back into reality just in time for Dream to show him a book, which immediately pops Ranboo back into the land of hallucinations, because there’s no way Dream has so many copies of the real memory book when he’s been isolated in his cell this entire time. The warped forest was probably a hallucination born of Ranboo’s enderman (sleepwalking) half being nervous, since Ranboo said he was nervous but couldn’t pinpoint why; it was probably that other side. Still don’t know why he’d be nervous though, when it seems like Dream’s happy to see him.
The room caving in and Dream disappearing are fake. I think it’s symbolic of the other side forcing Ranboo to black out in order to have a conversation with Dream that isn’t being interrupted by the awake self. Who knows where and how Ranboo is going to wake up next time, honestly. Or even if he’ll remember the visit at all.
Oh, and I really doubt this costed a canon life. There’s some very funky implications if it does, but I’ll only get into that if we get a confirmed life lost.
Again, the Voice is not Dream but instead is the side of Ranboo that actually remembers the supposedly “bad” things he did at Dream’s behest. Interestingly, Dream calls them besties, but the Voice sounds almost... scornful and refers to Ranboo as Dream’s little servant. Sure tells you how fucked up c!Dream’s definition of a friend is, huh?
Speaking of c!Dream, here’s an interesting thought: sleepwalking Ranboo only speaks Ender, as shown by his attempts to communicate with Philza. So, assuming that sleepwalking Ranboo is the “other” Ranboo that remembers things, he probably couldn’t have visited the prison, because he couldn’t organize a visit time with Sam, because that would require speaking Player.
However. He used to speak with Dream on a regular basis.
Which means Dream speaks (or at least understands) Ender. This would also explain why the Voice manifests as Dream’s; it’s the only other voice that understands the tongue it uses.
I’ve got a lot of thoughts about Pandora’s Vault because we got a little sneak peek at some of the redstone behind those obsidian walls when the room started caving in, but that’s for later. Hope this was helpful to... I dunno, anyone? I’ll probably come back and add/edit things as needed.

Ro, I know nothing about dream smp, but it sounds really interesting and I'm super intrigued by the little snippets I get about Dream's character, so if you want to, and if you feel like it, would you mind explaining C!Dream's arc and your opnion on him? 👉👈 He sounds like a fun character and I'd love to hear about how he did and what you think about him
Oh i would love to give an analysis/explaination on his character :)
/roleplay for everything below here btw, i am talking about the characters not the creators :]
So Dream is the owner of the server, he's the admin. He's also praised both in and out of rp for being an excellent player of the game being skilled in both the mechanics and pvp- in fact Dream and Technoblade (a player praised for being the best pvper in the world) had a duel where Techno won over all, but only just.
Anyway-
At the begining of everything, Dream was kind of the say all end all of most things happening on the server, and when Wilbur wanted to do drugs and creat a country seperate from his server where he could do drugs, Dream [rightfully] said no. This led to the first war in which Dream (along with Sapnap, George, and Punz) won.
Then Dream kind of fades a bit from the plot, becoming a much more background character. He claimed in the middle of Schlatt's rule that he was in it for the chaos and quietly aided Pogtopia as well as heavily aided in its ultimate destruction by giving Wilbur tnt in his descent into madness.
Before Pogtopia went to take back Manburg, Dream switched his allegiance to Schlatt for reasons unknown till recently (reasons being that Schlatt had access to knowledge on how to resurrect people) and even FURTHER aided in the second destruction of manburg by egging Techno on as they had Tubbo placed into presidency.
After this, it was once again quite for a little while during the rebuilding of L'manburg. Until George's house got burned down.
Dream then began building unwanted walls around New L'manburg in punishment for Tommy [and Ranboo's] actions. He gave Tubbo an ultimatum: exile Tommy or the walls will continue to grow.
(Its at this point i forgot all about the disks oh jeez- anyway its VERY important to note that before Wilbur came onto the server, Dream had wars against Tommy (and tubbo too from what i understand) to get Tommy's disks that he had. I don't know why dream wanted them or why they were important to Tommy bc i wasn't there for it, but it was important. Tommy trading the disks to Dream was what granted them independence in the first war and since then tommy had been trying to get them back and by the time Dream demanded Tommy's exile, Tommy had one disk, Tubbo had one, and Skeppy had one. Also important to note that Dream said that if Tommy gave him the disks then the walls could also go down without his exile.)
Tubbo exiled Tommy and Dream was set as the enforcer of his exile, checking in daily and making him give up his armour and tools and making sure he STAYED in exile. However Dream did more than this and began to manipulate and gaslight Tommy, making him believe he had been imagining it when Tubbo came to see him once and lying to him when he said he'd sent everyone invites to Tommys party- telling Tommy that he was his only friend and that everyone else hated him.
In the end, Dream discovered that Tommy had been secretly saving tools and armor in a chest under Logsteshire and he blew up everything Tommy had accomplished in Exile and telling Tommy it was all his fault. It was all to the point where Tommy nearly took his last canon life before realizing that he could just run away, ending up with Techno in the AE.
Its also important to note that during this time dream has also been manipulating Tubbo as well- however i don't know the extent of it since i never ended up watching Tubbo's pov while Tommy was in exile.
After all this happened, Dream began hunting for Tommy- coming not once but i think three times to Techno's house- all three times Techno (once it was Ghostbur) protecting him and lying to Dream for him.
After this, Dream blew up the community house (the oldest structire on the server) and framed it as Tommy's doing in an attempt to further push everyone against him. It backfired though and Tommy joined back with Tubbo, subsequently betraying Techno in the process. (Important to not that during this, Tubbo ended up giving Dream the Disk that he had in safe keeping)
Dream then teamed up with Techno (who was already planning on destroying L'manburg) and helped him obliterate the country- leaving nothing but a smoking crater down to bedrock.
Following this he (allegedly- it's still unsure wether it was actually Dream or not) began to maniand gaslight Ranboo, convincing him that Ranboo was the one who blew up the community house and had a disk himself and had betrayed everyone he cared about during his blackouts.
Finally, Dream had two of the three disks and lead Tommy and Tubbo to a final battle in which Dream ended up winning, taking them to an underground chamber where he had wall to wall places for things that were of value to others on the smp- including pets and items alike, and even a space for an actual character [skeppy]- all in an attempt to control everyone on the server.
During this, Dream threatened the life of Tubbo if Tommy didn't give him the last disk. And as Tommy and Tubbo began to give into dispare, around 15 people from the smp, including but limited to Sapnap, George, and most notably Punz (who was by far the most loyal to Dream up till this point) all showed up and forced Dream into submission, Tommy claiming two of his canon lives in revenge for Dream taking two of his, and finally taking him away to a high security prison called Pandora's Vault in which he resides in today, writing books by request of Tommy.
Damn.
Okay.
Sorry writing about Dream is difficult because he doesn't stream his pov and hasn't since the very very first L'manburg war. And even still there are things I'm missing from this I'm sure...
Anyway, from an analysts stand point, Dream is an absolutely FASCINATING charcter with extreme motives and he plays such a convincing villain that i even forget sometimes that Dream as a person is actually really nice. He's scary intelligent and highly manipulative- even in prison where he tried to make Tommy feel bad by saying sorry.
From a personal point of veiw i would rejoice if c!dream fucking burned in the pits of hell for the rest of existing time :) LIKE RANBOO DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY SHIT AGAINST DREAM OR NOTHIN AND THIS BASTARD WAS LIKE "oh yeah you probably blew this up and betrayed evedyone you love willingly" LIKE FUCK YOU GREEN MAN LITERALLY YOU DON'T HAVE A HOUSE STFU
Anyway.
Dream :)
I'd be more than happy to try and summarise other characters for you too btw
#that-peach-anon#mcyt#dreamwastaken#dreamteam#dreamsmp#dream smp#dsmp#L'manburg#tommyinnit#tubbo#ask me things#hhhhhhholy shit#man trying to do that was long and HARD#if i missed things and fucked things up I'm sorry i can only do so much#this is all what i understand to have happened with dream- its difficult when you don't have his pov available for watch :/#anyway i hope this helps a little!! i didn't take time to explain plot lines a whole bunch but if you want me to i can try!!

in honor of d!smp one year, here are my top 10 fave characters (lore and enjoyability wise)
1. Wilbur. Do I even have to START with this one? He was genuinely such a good leader, always cared for his citizens (listen to eight by sleeping at last!) and his descent into his Villbur state was cause by betrayal and mental turmoil and hes so morally complex I absolutely adore him. Plus ghostbur has done nothing wrong ever and I stand by that!
2. Dream. MY MEOW MEOW (/hj) . I adore him, hes such a good villain and god I wanna know what fucked him up this badly. What led him to become this corrupted when he was just ... a tad power hungry at the start of the smp and genuinely cared for his friends? He's so complex and people just reduce him to 'grr evil man bad' but like . I can't summarize my thoughts on him in a post. Basically - I hope my meow meow escapes prison and wins <3 (Plus he's sexy)
3. Sam. He's quickly risen to my FAVES in such a short time like ??? He is the definition of morally gray, hes such a kind person and wants the best for the minors on the smp (Tommy, Ranboo...) but he's also the warden of the darkest prison and has let Quackity go in and TORTURE dream and hes tortured Ponk, his past lover and he is the definition of the ends justify the means and he regrets not being there for Tommy so much all this guilt is consuming him ANYWAY . I LOVE HE.
4/5. Tommy/Ranboo - They're tied in my fave list. Everyone on tumblr seems to love Ranboo so I don't think I need to explain, and Tommy's just such a good character for constantly trying to improve himself but still in the process of healing from trauma and I adore both of them so very much. They should both go to therapy.
6. Puffy - Now I will say I have not caught up to egg lore . BUT I adore Puffy for being consistently good in a server filled with evil? She wants to help, she wants to defeat the egg for her friends, shes valiant, she doesn't take shit, plus shes a hot pirate lady like what more could you ask for? I really really hope she doesn't ever pull a villain arc because god we so desperately need a character like hers.
7. Quackity - it's tough being both a quackity fan and dream fan but oh well. Mans got left behind by both of his lovers, abused in the past by Schlatt, and has so much mental turmoil that he has to resort to torture to try and bring his abusive ex back like ??? His character is also undergoing a whole Kakegurui arc, so that should also be really fun. I think his lore has so much potential.
8. Techno - I am NOT a techno apologist. I think people apologize for his actions too much, and he's actually a giant hypocrite for claiming anarchy was the solution to ending governmental tyranny but his way of establishing said anarchy was through mass war crimes HOWEVER I LIKE TO SEE PIG MAN FUCK SHIT UP. GO TECHNO GO !
9. Karl. The only reason hes not higher is bc I haven't seen him in a long time. Otherwise, I absolutely adore TFTSMP lore with the other side and whatnot even if I minimally understand it- it's so cool and I miss it. Plus, hes so nice and his loss of self is such a sad thing for the viewer to see. I hope he finds happiness </3
10. George. Now you may ask. What the fuck is mr. I never show up for lore doing here? WELL - LISTEN. Him standing in front of the prison? The whole Dream item frame symbolism? The start of the smp, where it was just him, Dream and Sapnap, versus now? He may now show up for lore but by god does he create the most heartbreaking one by purely accident.
Anyways. I love most characters on the SMP (keyword: most. ) And my faves list changes every day - Techno used to be number three like a couple weeks ago. But yeah!

I went down the rabbit hole of your essay posts, you’ve clearly thought a lot about this! You have a lot of interesting takes and theories, for sure.
I do wanna touch on stone theory a little bit, specifically the portion about Ranboo and his pickaxes. Because, we’ve actually learned what was happening with his pickaxes, why they were always so low durability. He said it two hours into a random alt stream about three months ago.
Ranboo Q&A and Omnichord, ranboobutnot (9-18-2021) [Timestamp 2:17:03]
Ranboo: “Actually, fun fact. You know- you know in the beginning, how my stuff kept on losing durability and everything? How- like, how the durability? That was on purpose. I was actually doing something, that I finished, that’s somewhere in the world. It’s there somewhere. It had a purpose. I worked- I worked like hours on it off stream. Like, it was really really cool too. I like- I like, mapped it out and everything. I had- I had plans for it. Um… yeah. It had- like all of the- all of the like, loose ends and everything… and that’s it, that’s all I’m gonna say, that’s all I’m gonna say about my plans because you never know, they could still happen.”
At this portion of the stream, Ranboo had mentioned that he’s wanted to do lore, but has been unable to because of plans falling through. He talks about a few different plans and ideas in this section of the vod, but this is the main relevant one to the stone theory. Specifically, that we do know for a fact that Ranboo constructed something far out in the world, and that’s why his pickaxes were losing durability during that time period.
It’s unknown what that construction was for, exactly. In this same stream, he also talks about finding the fourth memory book, as well as mentioning that he’s hidden a lot of items around the server that he planned to stumble upon again. However, he mentions that all of these plans have mostly fallen through, but that he hopes to be able to repurpose the build for something else.
If you’re interested in Ranboo’s character, this section of the stream is definitely worth a listen. However, I’ll move on from it for this post.
Now, on to Dream
The perspective of Dream manipulating Tommy purely for his tactics and not because of his own twisted attachment to Tommy is… one I find hard to believe, I’ll admit. You say that Dream doesn’t act on his emotions, and yet he must be very good at putting on the front of doing just that, at least. Either way, I’ll continue on the assumption that he’s acting on his own logic and not on his emotions.
There’s a few things you talked about that I see in a different way.
Dream Escapes Prison | TommyVODS [Scene start timestamp 6:23]
You mentioned that Dream’s ultimate goal here was to get the Axe of Peace, because he uses it later, while his manipulation of Tommy only happens because Tommy was already there, and there’s no immediate follow up to that action. In this, I disagree.
Starting right at the timestamp, 6:23, you see Tommy turn around after pillaring back up from where he buried his things, including the Axe of Peace. It is worth noting at this point that the axe had already been taken.
Tommy pillars up and immediately sees that the portal has been destroyed. From there, he walks forward, and we see Dream walk out from behind the broken frame. If you watch it closely, you can clearly see Dream standing firmly outside the frame (meaning he likely didn’t just come from the portal) and you see him pick up the broken piece of obsidian.
Of course, by this point, it’s clear Dream already has the axe. What this shows me is that Dream beat Tommy there, and then specifically chose to wait for him to show up, so as to interrogate/antagonize him. Of course, Dream immediately begins his confrontation with Tommy, opening with talk of exile and then moving on to talking about killing him.
My main reason for bringing this up is to say that I don’t think Dream ended up talking to Tommy on a whim. That moment, that conversation, seemed very clearly like it was planned by Dream. Had he only wanted the axe, he could’ve left after taking it and not spoken to Tommy at all. Just because he didn’t have an immediate follow up to that action, doesn’t mean it wasn’t part of his initial plan. This sentiment, I feel like, lines up with what you’ve said about Dream and his motives prior.
The other point I wanted to touch on is Dream asking about Ranboo and Tubbo, and the goal for that moment. When I see it, the purpose of that question is different to me.
Tommy: “every- dude, people would care, alright? You’re not doing this again!”
Dream: “Oh, who would care? Who would care? Who’s your friends! Who’s your friends? Tell me who your friends are, Tommy! Who’s your friend?”
Tommy: “Tubbo, Ranboo!”
Dream: “Oh, wow, what- okay, what about- what about- y’know, what are they doing?”
Tommy: “They’re my friends! Right, they’re not- none of them are gonna stand for your shit this time!”
Dream: “Where are they right now! Where are they?”
Tommy: “I don’t care that you’re out of prison- go- just go back! No one on this server likes you Dream!”
Dream: “You wanna- you wanna invite them to your party, Tommy? You wanna give them a little party? Come to the beach, let’s go to the beach! Let’s have a little party together!
In this moment, in my eyes, Dream is asking about Tommy’s friends not to learn about them, but to highlight that they aren’t there for him. That his friends aren’t there and that he is alone. This is especially accentuated by him bringing up the beach party from exile, and how nobody else showed up for him. In this moment, I see it as Dream trying to make Tommy feel alone and isolated. This sentiment can also be seen in their exchange during the chase scene
Tommy: “You can’t get away with this! People are gonna know this time, Dream!”
Dream: “Why not?”
Tommy: “They’re gonna know that you did this!”
Dream: “No, they’re not! Everyone’s gonna think I changed, Tommy, while I make your life a living hell.”
In this, I feel as though perhaps Dream is trying to make Tommy feel alone in being against him. Like Tommy will have to fight and face Dream himself, and Dream’s toying with him being him showing that Tommy has no chance against him.
The idea that Dream was herding Tommy towards Phil’s house is actually quite interesting to me. It would appear that he was pushing him in that direction, with his pearls and general direction of chasing him. As you’ve said, most of everything that Dream does is intentional, so you’re likely right here. I do, however, wonder what his ultimate goal of that was. Perhaps it would be to have Tommy tell Phil, but I don’t know if we have enough information to say for sure.
Either way, I think Dream’s encounter and manipulation of Tommy was very clearly planned. The main question I have then is what exactly he hopes to accomplish with Tommy? He seems to have some sort of plan for Tommy, at very least.
@umbrify the other post was getting long so let's continue here.
From what we've seen of their discussion during December c!Punz seems to mostly agree with c!Dream's actions, at least the public things such as exiling c!Tommy and destroying L'manburg. His opinion of L'manburg is less than stellar and he seems to view both the independence war and doomsday as justified (or at the worry least nothing to be bothered by).
We also know that he agrees with c!Dream's "one big happy family" goal, so overall c!Punz seems to ideologically align with. He seems to be helping because he agrees with c!Dream's goals, in addition to to his loyalty and c!Dream being a good employer.
I think a big question here (one that you seem to be better positioned than me to answer) is just how much c!Punz cares about morals? Specifically how much he cares about society's morals and how much he cares about his own internal code of morals, since those are two different questions whose answers would influence the way he sees c!Dream.
Also, this is a common misconception but c!Dream isn't obsessed with c!Tommy. He just acts out a disney villain persona in front of c!Tommy (from which the seeming obsession comes from) because it makes it easier to manipulate c!Tommy. So I guess the real question here is if c!Punz knows how much c!Dream is willing to hurt others in pursuit of his goal, if/how much he's bothered by it and if the victim being c!Tommy changes anything.
#can you tell I’m a Ranboo main?#not only with my drawing of Ranboo as my pfp but also watching a three hour long stream of a completely black screen#i remember watching it live; we were all very excited about this new info#so I just wanted to share it with you#also! glad I gave you a chance to go off about c!Dream#cause this whole conversation is giving me a lot of knowledge about him that I feel I haven’t had the chance to learn before#you’ve clearly put a lot of time and thought into his character and I respect that immensely#another thing! I always always always try to include sources when I talk about characters#i don’t wanna be out here just saying words and not having a back for them#like I remember I wanted to include a bit about c!Punz where I saw that cc!Punz said his character had a special fondness for c!Tommy#but I couldn’t find a source so I was like ‘welp! did he say that or not! i have no idea’#so I didn’t include it in my analysis#people who don’t provide sources are so frustrating#anyway oh my god I’ve spent 80 years on this post#i read yours over for like an hour before work this morning#and then once I got home I got to making my analysis pretty quick#and that was like two hours ago#i haven’t spent all that working on this straight but you get me#i wanna make sure I give your post the time it deserves#to think about it and read it all and really put thought into my answer#i spent a while just going down the post rabbit hole you’ve got from your stone theory post#love your theories!#umbrify talks#discussion#long post#maybe? maybe long#just in case it’s long#/dsmp /rp#dream smp

Dream SMP Recap (March 16/2021) - Worst Day
“May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.”
—-
VOD LINKS:
Ponk
Foolish
Tubbo
Ranboo
Quackity
Badboyhalo
Captain Puffy
—-
- Foolish continues work on the mansion.
- Ranboo goes mining and talks about his ARG plans while getting chat to gamble. It’s the calm before the storm.
---
WORST DAY.
---
- Quackity’s stream opens with a shot of Schlatt’s Grave. The sound of a chest opening can be heard.
“Alex...you know, you and I? You know I wouldn’t do anything disadvantageous...”
-
Chapter One.
-
- Quackity climbs up to the roof of Punz’s tower, where he comes face to face with Bad.
Bad: "You keep getting in my way, Quackity...”
- Quackity asks why Bad brought him up here. He tells Bad he’s just an asset to the Egg. Bad replies that he’s not just an asset -- he’s serving a purpose Quackity could never understand.
Bad: “You call it the Egg...that’s just the surface. That’s just what you think it is. It is so much more than that. It is something you cannot even comprehend.”
- Quackity asks if all Bad is is an “asset to power.”
Quackity: “You don’t know what power is, Bad, then that’s your issue. That’s why I’m getting in your way. It’s ‘cause I know the ins and outs of business, I know the ins and outs of power. And I’m sorry that’s something you’re never gonna understand yourself.”
- Quackity tells Bad to not waste his time. Bad replies that he called Quackity to tell him to stay out of his way.
- Quackity then says he can show Bad what he’s been working on: real power.
- A cutscene shows Quackity and Bad riding off into the distance, making their way to:
Las Nevadas.
-
Chapter Two.
-
- At his cow farm, Quackity finds a book in the chest, wondering who put it there. It gives instructions to follow a railway track above.
“You had the fattest ass in my cabinet.”
- Quackity follows the line down into a cave where Glatt is waiting for him. It’s...a gym? The Big Man Gym.
- Austin from Austinshow is a dead guy with Glatt.
- He can’t go upstairs or else his skin starts falling off, so he stays down in the gym with his dad.
- Wilbur goes to the gym every day in his beanie.
- Tommy also came down to the gym.
- The dead all come down to the gym to lift weights.
- Quackity asks who else is up there. Glatt says he just wants to reconnect with Quackity.
- Glatt has apparently been learning Spanish.
- Mexican Dream also comes down to the gym. Neither Quackity nor Glatt know who he is and Quackity asks if Dream’s been visiting. He hasn’t helped Glatt learn Spanish.
- Quackity tells Glatt he hates seeing him, so he’ll give him five minutes.
- Glatt gives Quackity a preposition: He wants to escape the confines of the gym and wants to be revived. He knows of a thing that exists that could help him: a book.
- The green guy who comes down to the gym sometimes has this book.
- Quackity tells Glatt he has a business venture, and is willing to offer him a bet:
If Quackity loses, he goes to Dream and gets the revive book and gives it to Glatt to use. If Quackity wins, Glatt never gets revived and works for Quackity forever.
They agree on the bet and start walking, Quackity asking Glatt about his other adventures...
-
Chapter Three.
-
- It’s raining. Quackity is standing outside Bee ‘n’ Boo as Sam walks up to him. He apologizes for calling Sam in on short notice.
- They head into the Big Innit Hotel, and Quackity tells Sam it’s time for him to visit Dream.
- Sam is hesitant. The last visit didn’t go well.
- Quackity says that there are issues with the prison, and that’s that Tommy died in there, and as Sam’s business partner, he wants to know Sam is reliable.
- Sam replies that his job isn’t to keep the visitors alive, but to keep Dream there.
- Quackity asks, even though Sam has Dream locked up, what stopped him from killing Tommy? Nothing.
Quackity: “He has power, Sam. He still has power. Why haven’t we killed him?”
Sam: “We can’t kill him, Quackity, he’s the only one who can bring people back to life. It’s the whole reason we put him in the prison in the first place.”
- Quackity suggests, then, that they go in, take the book from Dream and then they won’t need Dream anymore.
- Sam points out that he’ll refuse to give anyone the book, since Dream knows that’s the only reason they’re keeping him alive.
- Quackity asks that he at least be allowed to try.
- Sam says it’s not that he doesn’t trust Quackity, it’s that he doesn’t trust Dream. But, as Quackity points out, that’s the safety issue.
- Sam still doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Quackity starts backing away from the hotel slowly.
Quackity: “So how am I supposed to rely on you for any business opportunities, when you won’t even grant me one simple visit?”
Sam: “What is that supposed to -- I assume you’ve seen the work Awesamdude Constructions has done in Las Nevadas?”
Quackity: “Yeah, but Sam, that’s...You’re good at what you do, you’re just not cooperating though. That’s what I need from a business partner, cooperation.”
- Quackity has an idea. He places two item frames on the wall with an axe and a sword and asks to bring them in with him. That’s all he needs to get the last bit of power Dream has.
- Sam is still doubting, but Quackity brings up Tommy’s death, asking if Sam is going to let Dream get away with it. He assures Sam that he won’t kill Dream, just talk with him.
Quackity: “Sam, there’s an underlying safety issue, he killed Tommy. Do you really have any control of him right now? Is there any control you have over him right now, Sam? I can fix that, I can fix that! All you gotta do is let me in and bring these two in.”
- Quackity assures Sam that he knows what he’s doing and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get that book.
- Sam finally agrees, and they walk over to Pandora’s Vault. They enter the prison and Sam asks Quackity the entry questions:
“When’s the last time you visited the prison?”
“This is my first time. I’ve never visited the prison before.”
“Where is your place of residence located?”
“Las Nevadas.”
“Do you believe the prisoner deserves to be locked up?”
“No doubt about it, of course I do.”
“What are all your prior relations with the prisoner?”
“We don’t get along, I’ll leave it at that.”
- Quackity seals the waiver book without signing it.
- They go through the security measures and Quackity does the same with the other waivers.
- They make it to the lava wall. Sam gives Quackity some food.
Sam: “The tools you have are whatever, but...if you’re gonna do this Big Q, do it right.”
- Sam throws Quackity shears, Warden’s Will, Warden’s Hammer and some item frames. He tells Quackity to not hold anything in his hand.
- The lava lowers, Quackity crosses on the bridge and comes face to face with Dream.
- Quackity asks Dream how it feels to be in there. Must feel bad.
- He brings up what Dream did to Tommy. Dream asks what people think about it. Did they think it was cool? What were they saying?
Quackity: “What matters is the very concept of it. You have a book that can bring people back.”
Dream: “And now people will believe me!”
Quackity: “Yeah...I know you have that book, Dream. Everyone at this point knows you have that book.”
Dream: “Yeah! That’s good!”
Quackity: “I mean, depends on the eyes of who you see it.”
Dream: “Well, I mean...it’s good for me.”
- Quackity tells Dream that he wants -- needs the book.
- Dream tells him that he burnt the book. Now it’s just knowledge in his head.
Dream: “I’m the book.”
- Quackity asks him to tell him what he knows, or else. He puts up the item frames on the wall and puts Warden’s Will in one of them.
Dream: “How did you -- “
Quackity: “I’m asking the nice way, Dream, and you didn’t want to tell me.”
Dream: “You’re not gonna kill me.”
Quackity: “I”m not gonna kill you, but --”
Dream: “SAM!”
Quackity: “I’m gonna make your last days in this fucking prison hell, Dream.”
Dream: “SAM! HOW DID YOU -- “
Quackity: “Don’t fucking touch me man, alright? It’s simple, Dream, alright? You’re gonna tell me all the knowledge you have in that fuckin’ book or I’m gonna come here every. Single. Fucking. Day. To make your life hell. That is exactly what I’m gonna fucking do, and I”m gonna stick to it until you give me that fucking book.”
Dream: “I’m not gonna tell you anything!”
Quackity: “You have no other choice. If you want me here every fucking day, then you’re gonna give me the fucking knowledge on the book. I’m not fucking around, Dream, you’re gonna tell me!”
Dream: “SAM!”
Quackity: “You can scream for Sam all you want, Dream.”
Dream: “How -- there’s no way -- How did you sneak it in?!”
Quackity: “Alright, alright, you know what? There’s been enough talking. There’s been enough talking, Dream. You’re gonna tell me, or we’re gonna do this the fucking hard way for as long as we need to do it.”
- The screen fades to black.
- Quackity walks to the El Rapids poster, his clothes splattered with blood. One by one, he takes down the faces of Sapnap, George and Karl. He leaves his intact.
- As Quackity goes to the peak of El Rapids and begins to take it apart, voices can be heard in the background.
...
Quackity: “This means nothing, George, this means nothing in comparison...to a challenge to power.”
“At the end of the day, what this is is a new beginning, okay? This is a new beginning for the country El Rapids. Ready? Let’s just hit each other at the same time, ready?”
“Three...”
“Two...”
“One...”
“Yeah!”
Sapnap: “I wanna fight Dream.”
Quackity: “Step by step, Sapnap, step by step. We’ll get there someday.”
Ghostbur: “What is Mexican L’manburg?”
Quackity: “Mexican L’manburg was a little place we made next to L’manburg, to kind of commemorate...”
“It’s time to say goodbye and rename it to El Rapids, baby! Have you heard of Cedar Rapids, Ghostbur?”
Ghostbur: “Yes, I’m just chilling there! Most of the time.”
Quackity: “YES!”
...
- Quackity removes his face from the picture.
- There’s a final shot of Quackity from the back, looking at the picture...
It cuts to live-action as Quackity crumples the shot into paper, puts down a whiteboard calendar with all the days marked “Visit Dream,” crosses off the first and throws his briefcase down, spilling its contents of poker chips and a pair of scissors.
- End of stream.
