By the way I actually recently started Ensemble Stars!

I downloaded the game on my phone and I’m (veeeeeery slowly) reading through the stories from both this version of the game and the original Enstars. I’ve only made it through a few so far though, and while I’m trying to go in chronological order I’m more so reading a bit of main plot and then going through some side/event stories so I’m jumping all over the place timeline wise, especially going back and forth from old game stories to new game stories.

I’ve know a little bit about this franchise beforehand. Mainly idol songs and the smallest handful of plot that seems to apply more to the original game than the current one? But like I said I am slowly reading through things, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t focusing more on stories starring my faves 😅

Which reminds me, it’d be fun if I could learn who anyone who’s reading this believes are my favorite units of Enstars, especially if you can narrow down which one is my number one unit! Bonus points if you manage to figure out which boy is my top fave too! All I can tell you is that with how predictable my tastes in favorite characters are, it probably shouldn’t be too hard to pinpoint which ones I love best 😂

Finally, a chance to have a nice break after all the summer festivals. Not that they weren't fun, but between playing the stage and trying to complete the album, everyone needed a bit of down time. So the guys booked a seaside Airbnb with plenty of space and a private pool too to really relax.

Kris was walking back to the pool where Jan was hanging on the curb, looking half asleep. Kris had just gotten an ice-cream cone for himself from the freezer and was carefully sliding back into the water next to Jan, trying not to drop it.

"You didn't bring me one..." Jan mumbled, eyeing Kris.

"You said you didn't want one."

"Yeah, but it's a common knowledge to still bring one."

Kris rolled his eyes and took a bite of the ice-cream. "It's common knowledge to clearly say what you want the first time. Go get one yourself."

Jan sighed and rested his head on his hands at the pool curb, his lower body gently floating in the water. He didn't say anything but continued watching Kris and heavy sighing.

"Fine.. Here, have a bite." Kris extended the ice-cream towards Jan who immediately perked up.

Jan, slowly sank his teeth into the soft ice-cream and quickly got messy because he was trying to get a bigger bite.

"Now look what you've done..." Kris licked his hand holding the dripping ice-cream cone. He switched the cone into another hand and was briefly wondering what to do with the sticky one - wash it in the pool water? Jan reached with his hand Kris' wrist which was hanging in the air and without saying anything brought the hand to his mouth, slowly licking the ice-cream of Kris' delicate fingers one by one.

Kris let him. He just watched for a while and when Jan had licked Kris' hand clean, he switched the ice-cream cone again, pointedly looking at his other hand. "Damn... now this one is messy too..."

He extended the hand dripping with vanilla strawberry flavor towards Jan's mouth who happily lapped at Kris' fingers with a low moan. "Mmm... tastes so good."

A sudden violent cough from the side broke the tension and both Kris and Jan snapped their attention at Nace, who was laying on a sunbed right next to them this whole time.

"You good, Nacko?" Jan asked.

"*cough* yeah... *cough* I'm good, don't mind me.."

"You want ice-cream too? You'll have to bring it though, this one is melted." Jan gestured at the empty waffle cone in Kris' hand. "But I think one is enough" he smirked.

Im not gonna argue with anyone about kaia's acting b/c it isnt the best mostly b/c she comes across as lifeless and unnatural. She def benefits from the fact shes a nepo baby and white. However I will defend her in bottoms, b/c its sometimes more about casting then it is acting. Kaias character is supposed to come across as one dimensional, a sterotypical popular high school girl who everyone aspires to be with she doesnt have any substance outside of her looks which is juxtaposed with this idea that a girl like her wouldnt be interested in somethink like bare knuckle fighting. Her role doesnt require dynamic acting and I would argue someone like zendaya wouldnt work b/c shes to dynamic and would go against the one dimensionality of how character was written. Certainly could this role have gonna to a black woman like laura harrier ( who also cant act) yeah totally but I think kaia works as that character, that doesnt mean shes a great actor . She still struggles with basic things such the inability to convey emotion.

Also austin, I like austin hes very dynamic but Im also not 100 convinced. Hes a great character actor evidenced by dune part 2. He was great in elvis fantastic even. He clearly puts the work in and willing to work on his craft. But after watching bike riders early this year and two episodes masters of air, he was very underwhelming dont know if he has the longevity as a lead ( hopefully he changes my mind b/c he seems like a cool dude and I want him to succeed). Hes struggling mightily with accents and in bikeriders he was overshadowed by jodie comer and tom hardy also even mike faist (for his very small role in bikeriders but hes extremely sensitivity and empathetic in portrayal as an interviewer). His latest stuff he comes across as one note and places too much emphasis on a huskier/smoky voice that at times sound more distracting and hinders the character.

(Though for MOTA im still in wait and see mode cause I havent seen the entire series yet)

Sooo... basically, what you're saying is that they gave her a character role that she basically already embodies (dull, lifeless, etc) because that's how her acting already is in real life? Am I understanding this correctly lol? 😅

That's fine if you liked her in the "Bottoms" movie (we all have different tastes). I didn't even see the movie (it just didn't look funny at all to me 👀), but I saw enough clips lol 😅

Interesting take on Austin. 🤔 I haven't seen him in Dune Part 2 or The Bikeriders yet, so I can't really speak to those films... yet. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Maybe he IS a character actor? Nothing wrong with that. There are PLENTY of great character actors in Hollywood, and that's where they thrive. ☺️

I honestly haven't seen much of his work post-Elvis to really judge. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm excited to see more of his work in this phase of his career. I've only seen clips of him in OUATIH and I thought he was great in that. He's really good at disappearing in roles, which I like. So far, his characters have been diversely DIFFERENT ever since the play he did with Denzel Washington, and I love that. Sometimes, it's hard to imagine I'm watching the same actor lol 😆 😂

Maybe you're so used to seeing Austin in character roles that when he plays someone quieter and less "out there" you are bored lol 😆

Like I said, I haven't seen him in "The Bikeriders" yet, but it's hard to imagine anyone outshining Tom Hardy, coz Tom is just.... 👌🏾

Prior to "Elvis", I'd only seen Austin in fluff TV shows like "The Carrie Diaries" or "Switched at Birth", etc. So I've seen him in various different roles PRE-Elvis.

So far, I'm enjoying MOTA, and I'm interested in seeing where his career takes him in this era. I'm just glad he's getting to do more of the type of work that he wants to do now in his career. 😊

I really don't think he's putting anything on. Don't pelt me with tomatoes but I actually sort of suspect (I only said SUSPECT) that he kinda ruined his voice a little when singing for Elvis all those years. I'm a singer as well, and it can definitely happen. I had vocal nodules that changed my voice (I could barely speak at one point). I had to go through vocal therapy for many months in fact for it.

My voice is fine now, thankfully lol 😆, but if you've developed vocal nodules, they can for sure change the quality of your voice. So, he might just have vocal nodules. I don't suggest getting them surgically removed if anyone has them, but vocal rest, along with changing ways in which you vocalize can help diminish them.

Hola I had a thought on your Whump Piece you wrote, I truly love it I read it all with and open mind but one thing caught my eye that made me want to open an ask of sorts.

I notice too that I've come across Whump Blogs that write explicit Nsfw and such, yet also have Kink Blogs DNI.

I think I understand this quiet well.

Sexual writing even outside of Whump is alot more for a lack of better word Tame. Instead of having a visual representation of what's being portrayed it's left to the reads imagination, and generally that can be controlled by one reading it if you catch me?

where as most or alot of Kink blogs I've seen before have very heavy visual representation of said Kink, Like pictures/models/videos/imagery you know? It's more graphic though not in the violent sense.

and I know like myself as a minor back in the day I did enjoy reading Sexually themed stories alot more than having to physically sit and watch it as.. sometimes it got a little to much?

I am not trying to argue as I see your point I feel, but I just wanted to add a sort of personal thought on the matter ☺️

I think I understand what you’re saying yeah, I’ve definitely met people who were more interested in writing than in visuals, and even people for whom visual whump was something of a squick. I do see kink blogs that have primarily text based content though, as well as people who write things like erotica that are more like the consensual counterpart to whump, so I think saying ‘kink blogs DNI’ isn’t really specific enough.

I should have also clarified this better in my initial post but I absolutely understand that there are minors in the whump community who need to set those boundaries between irl kink and fictional whump, so of course those lines need to be respected. My question is more for people who already openly write nsfw content under the label of whump who still insist on kink blogs not reblogging from them.

At the end of the day, what actually makes a blog a kink blog? Is it just self identification? Because I’ve seen plenty of whump blogs reblog posts that originated in kink and make them about whump or fictional characters. I think ‘I prefer not to see visual kink content’ or ‘I only like written whump’ is a much better explanation of someone’s limits and boundaries which are then easier to effectively respect.

Wow, so in a few short days, it will be 2022! Where did 2021, go? I’ve had some ups and downs. But I am still writing…all my readers you are amazing and thank you. Despite being. Busy with work…some new ventures in my life I am still enamored in the world I created for my Ewan characters!

Quick post, I’ve seen some of these kind of posts, so I am making one too!

First, wow...2020 is almost over. 2021 is here and it’s interesting. When 2020 first began I was bogged down with three jobs. Had a few trips planned here & there. Overall it looked like a decent year ahead. My fandom for the man above 👆🏻☺️😂 got reignited (when I saw BOP & Dr. Sleep) and to help pass what little time I had, I started to write for his character as Roman. I also had plans, to meet him at con for one of my trips so I was pretty excited. 😁

We all got sidelined with this horrible diease. I was completely out of work & had lots of time. So I loving to write (I went to school for writing & history) I decided to write to ease my anxiety over what was going on in the world around me. There will..always...always be typos! I try and catch them but I have dyslexia so those errors will be there!

So from Roman Sionis...I also began to write for Dan Torrance, Ray Stussy, John Bishop, Elmont, Brendan Lynch, Ford, Jerome, Mark Renton, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Oliver! (Yeah I have my hands full!)

SO. chvrches. last night was beyond amazing. Junk thoughts and setlist below:

This was my fourth time seeing CHVRCHES play live and man, they always fucking deliver. This was their first day of the tour (hell yeah Houston) and i gotta say it was worth going through all the stress and backflips I had to do in order to travel here (bless the lady handing out the wristbands who thought my negative PCR test meant I failed it and thus had COVID 😅). The venue was outside and like...this concert just confirmed that I enjoy outdoor venues way more than indoors. Love being out in the fresh air and I feel like there’s more room to dance my heart out.

With that said, the setlist gave plenty of opportunity to let loose 💃 this is what I remember them playing:

- And last but not least, one of their best if not THE best CHVRCHES song to play live…Clearest Fucking Blue. I don’t know how I just didn’t pass out from all the jumping and how tired I was by this point, but man it was SO worth it.

I’m kind of sad that Get Out or Graffiti didn’t make the cut, but it’s understandable given the darker tone that they’re going for with this album. I thought Tether would fit in perfectly to the theme but oh well, maybe next time! I’m hopeful that I’ll get to hear that amazing song live yet again 😍

It’s always kind of awkward because in the concerts (not festivals) I’ve been to I’m usually the only one really around me that is just dancing and living it out, but dammit I go a long way to see these artists so I’ll be damned if I don’t enjoy my time to the fullest. But it’s thanks to this that I’ve always met people at these concerts… during and after the show, this lady (who knew all the lyrics and we both grabbed each other and jumped for joy when clearest blue started playing 😍😍) and this other couple tapped me on the shoulder to tell me they loved what I was doing and that they “love how much I love Chvrches”. GOD I just cannot stress how much I love seeing my favorite bands play live 🤧🤧

Sooo from all the adrenaline pumping after the concert, I am eyeing tickets to Tijuana to go see them again in San Diego in December…still thinking about it. I know I’ll see them live next year at the Guadalajara festival but ahhh this concert just left me aching for more. 😭 So we’ll see if I’m that nuts to just go for it. In the meantime all I gotta say is Chvrches is life 🤧🤧🤧
